Needed a place in my step-daughter's neighborhood for a dinner. Her husband and she had thought about Ziba's Restaurant but hadn't been. We decided to go. What a good decision. Started with a great cheese plate, which could have been a dessert. The main dish for three if the four if us was a variation on mussels fretes. The fourth decided that she had made a mistake. In all a great meal with an even better server. Woylbe be worth a long Uber trip if it wasn't right in the neighborhood.

My wife and I had dinner with my Atlanta daughter over Labor Day weekend. This was my second time at the restaurant in 6 months. This eclectic, friendly local restaurant features local fresh produce and has a slight Bohemian ambiance. The wine list is pretty good with several French selections and I had an excellent homemade Sangria on this particular warm Summer night. We enjoyed a beet salad with Georgia trout, broccoli salad with trout, and a very unusual and good stuffed bell pepper on a bed of Rosemary potato and spinach hash. Overall a very good dining experience in a local causal Atlanta place. I will definitely be going back in the future.

We went there for the live jazz. We also got dessert. Was lovely as the music was good but not so loud you had to shout having conversation. Dessert was delicious. Service was good. Coffee, not so (cold).

My husband found this restaurant close to out Air B&B and were not disappointing. Not a large menu but something for most people and a reasonable choice of beers & wines. We would recommend this place to travelers.

My wife and I found this casual diner near the park and had a great experience. My wife had the chicken piccata and I had the mussels with cumin. Fabulous favors. Would recommend this to anyone for a casual night out in Grant Park area.

14 Jan 2021 My wife and I were out walking the dogs in Grant Park and decided to stop in with our pugs (outside seating, of course) and we are glad we did. Upon arrival - about 5:30ish on a Thursday night - we were greeted very warmly by the owner and a member of the wait staff, and their customer service is unparalleled. They sat us in a corner with a heater since it was a little cold, everyone came out to see our pugs, and brought us draft beers and waters. They have a Tex-Mex menu every second week of the month so we had tortillas and salsa as an appetizer. The salsa is stupid good, very spicy and a little hit but in a good way. For our main course we ordered for me a Fancy Burger, which is a hand patted sirloin beef patty with bacon, lettuce tomato and some specialty sauce on brioche - absolutely delicious, and the side of fries are seasoned and fresh and excellent. My wife had the 3 enchilada meal with rice, these enchiladas are not your average enchilada - loaded with onion, lettuce, purple onion, and some other stuff but my wife could only finish one, and they were really good, especially for a restaurant that doesn't do Mexican every day. I don't give many 5 stars out, especially since this crappy Covid hit, but they are managing to stay a very good place to hang and eat despite the pandemic. Location is one block away from Grant Park which means we will be back frequently. I wish I had gotten the waitress and owners names, but they were wonderful ladies. One last item I would like to mention: I don't think they normally give military discount but they gave it to us, and we felt really bad about that since so many places are struggling around the world, so I think that overall I would have to give this place and staff 5+ stars. I believe they have a GoFundMe set up to help them get through the pandemic so I will definitely both continue to go back and also will donate to their GoFundMe. They deserve to stay in business and we need more people and places like this. If the owner sees this I would like to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for the great service and chow and overall wonderful experience. We'll see you soon. Highly recommend and will definitely return!

I've been here several times and it always works well. One of my favorite items is the citrus salad, which you can get as a side or by itself. The greens are always fresh, and the citrus is a nice, unusual variation. For dessert, the rosemary creme brûlée is a highlight.

Our Grant Park B & B hostess suggested this for dinner, and we were pleasantly surprised. Nice ambiance, great food and drinks. Our server also was attentive and knowledgeable.

We came into Atlanta for a daytrip, went to the zoo and wanted to walk to get something to eat. I had 3 appetizers as a lunch - the watermelon salad, empanada and crostini. Husband got the Burger with bacon and bleu cheese. We loved everything - the sweet potato fries are not to be missed. A fresh touch to every dish was evident, and we sent back plates with just crumbs. The only reason I couldn't leave 'excellent' for the rating was the lack of overall airconditioning and the beer on tap was not cold enough. Admittedly it was unbearably hot outside and the server was honest about both. She seated us nearest the small AC unit and changed my on tap order to a much colder bottle/glass.

I'm a resident of East Atlanta and recently met some friends at Ziba's. I immediately ordered a mixed drink (Peppered Caipiroska). I was not impressed. One ingredient is lime. Each sip through the straw I encountered a seed or crushed seed. I decided to order the small plate of Flatbread Salmon. It's not the typical flatbread - it was thin and crispy like a chip or wafer. The smoked salmon was mediocre, but the capers were dried instead of fresh or pickled. Not at all how I envisioned the dish. After the experience with the drink and small plate, I decided not to order an entrée. I would not have ventured there if it was not selected by a friend. If I return, I know to order beer and wine.

Ziba's has a great atmosphere. It is right beside a busy street, but we sat inside with doors/walls open, and the traffic noise was negligible. Food was good, kinda limited selection. Loved the Mediterranean Sea "carved" into the plaster on the wall -- very intricate outlines of countries and coasts.

Great wine, great prices! I wasn't sure what wine I wanted because I like dessert wines which they didn't have alot of. Our waitress brought me out 5 glasses of wine to try for free. When I found the one I wanted I ordered a glass. It was huge! Great place, great price, great staff!!!

Unpretentious place with fabulous plates, big & small. We made tapas type dining out the appetizers ordering them again and again, and again in different varieties. Happened upon a Jazz open mic night. This is a neighborhood feel bar of old salts, and a few young hipsters. Atmosphere is extremely relaxed. Wait staff is very cordial. Food is nicely presented and is tastefully excellent. Yes, I would come back again!

We LOVED this place. It's small, so it's only fitting that it serve small plates. We had (I'm not going to get these excatly as named) the artichoke with butter & aoli, chicken kababs, spicey shrimp and watermelon salad, but perhaps my favorite were the $1 oysters in the half shell with a glass of bubbly priced at $4. We were there late at night but this would also be lovely for brunch.

This is a lovely little hole in the wall family restaurant with nice ambiance and lighting. It was nice to have a table behind a curtain by the door that made it feel like we were in our own private room. For a chillier day in winter, a heater by the table on the floor kept out toes warm. The menu was a neat cuisine (but no gluten free options) and the food was rated well (especially dipping fries in the mussel sauce:)). It was nice to see a young business woman working at the bar on her laptop or an old town couple stopping by for some dinner and a glass of wine. They have different nights of live music which is cool. BUT it is TOO LOUD!! The jazz band that night was fabulous, but had the volume of a concert as if we were all there for them. They were not background dinner music AT ALL. We could not hear ourselves let alone eachother over dinner. So if you want to go for a concert, and not to talk over your meal, evenings here are a go. If you want to talk over your meal with nice background music, this is not for you.

Love this heart of Grant Park tapas bar. Very busy on Saturday but crowd was fun, food excellent. Had salmon flatbread and basil pesto on toast with oven roasted tomatoes. Apple and citrus salads were fresh and the dressings were good, balanced. The baked trout and mussels were awesome. I have been here three times before over several years and it gets better each time! Rosemary creme brulee? Oh my, oh my.....

Older building with charm, good vibes and nice smells in the air once you get in. Both main dishes we tried, stuffed squash (see picture) and beef stew were outstanding in presentation and flavor. Excellent bartender and service overall - will return for more.

I lived in Grant Park from 1989-2000 and I probably wouldn't have left if there had been a place like Ziba's down the street. Seriously. I was just there, visiting dear friends and we walked there for dinner. It has a warm and cozy atmosphere (I love the Asian silk hanging lights!), our waitress was very friendly and efficient, and the food was delicious. I had a white bean burger that I would order again in a second, someone else at the table had chicken piccata that he couldn't stop raving about, and the third had a salad with apples and blue cheese. Run, don't walk to this neighborhood gem!

Friendly service, fresh ingredients and a delicious ginger-citrus cocktail. Our table ordered the Crostini with goat cheese which was delightful. The bowtie pasta was creamy and indulgent without being heavy; empanada was served with fresh salsa verde and the eggplant sandwich left us with enough for a 2nd meal the next day. Overall, very good.

This was a very pleasant surprise. A friend knew the musicians who were playing and that was the main reason for going, but the food and service as well as the ambience were great. It was a very relaxing evening, almost like being on vacation

The food was really good. We love the salad with salmon. Buuut they have one only waitress for the whole restaurant on a really busy day. We do have a good time even tho the mimosas were not always on our table.

Happened to be in Grant Park and stumbled upon this place. They had a new Mexican brunch. Cool little spot, great service and delicious food. Best kept secret indeed.

I always feel like I'm not in Atlanta when I visit Ziba's Bistro. It's on a busy street in Grant Park, but the twinkling patio lights and colorful patio umbrellas add charm, and the old building reminds me of NYC with exposed brick walls and ornate ceilings. The restaurant is locally-owned, and I think it's always good support small business. The owner is often working and stops by to say hello. There has been some turnover in staff since the pandemic, so some kinks are still being worked out, but the restaurant is still a favorite of mine. It has a very down-to-earth yet classy vibe. In terms of food, the mussels are outstanding, and the chicken piccata and bowtie pasta is also very good (but calorie heavy). There are a variety of other small and large plates to choose from along with regular specials. It's definitely the place to gather with friends or romantic partner and drink wine or cocktails and talk over a meal. Sometimes the restaurant closes for parties, and they decorate for events like Mardi Gras, which adds a fun atmosphere.

Ok, so my roommate & I live in Grant Park ( a neighborhood in Atlanta), for over two years. We pass this place everyday , but not paid much attention to it. We decided to try something new tonight & glad we did. Absolutely the best bistro/ restaurant in the area. Outdoor seating I'd great, but atmosphere inside even better. We all had entrees. My main course was a Spinach salad with chicken & feta cheese. Absolutely the best I've had in a long time, The restaurant is VERY casual & a neighbor restaurant. I can't wait until go to weekend brunch. I highly recommended this place!!

My friend and I had a great lunch today at Ziba's. It was sunny and high 60's so we were able to sit outside. My apple salad with trout was fresh and delicious. I ended my lunch with the tasty rosemary creme bruleé. The service was attentive. I will be back.

First visit with my husband, son & daughter-in-law was great. We went away happily sated and congratulating ourselves on finding such a gem online. I recently returned with 5 other women for a 'girl's night out'. Ambiance was lovely - doors open to the street on a mild Spring evening. Friendly & attentive wait-staff, delicious appetizers and well-made cocktails. We had a variety of dishes salads to seafood & steak, all were very good with reasonable pricing. Cocktails were $1-2 dollars too high imo, and 'bottomless wine' sales pitch was a tad overdone. But overall the good food and great service were a big hit with our group! I highly recommend giving Ziba's Bistro a try!

Service and Food are excellent! We had the creamy portobello soup which was divine and the stuffed acorn which was hearty and delicious. Cannot recommend highly enough!

We always enjoy the food at Zibas….The staff are super friendly-- Love the feel inside this old building. You might sometimes have to wait a bit for your food--but its cause they make things fresh. Go early if on a Sunday before the Church crowd comes--if you want a quicker service. But we always go back to Zibas since its nice to have a great place nearby in our neighborhood- Grant Park

I love this place. They have really amazing food for a great price. Their specials are always soooo fresh. I love their salads and they always allow me to add a crabcake to any salad. :) YUMMMMMM. The service is amazeballs. They always remember your name and go the extra mile. Also, it helps that they have a great wine list. They work with a boutique wine store to bring you affordable and delicious wines. I love this place.

Amazing spot. Good food, ambiance is perfect. All staff have been wonderful. Make a reservation if you can if going on a weekend for dinner.

I had made reservations in advance for Valentines Day. We ordered from their "Specials Menu". My wife had ordered the Stuffed Pepper and I had ordered the Crab Cakes. Our entrees were absolutely delicious. We finished our meal with their Strawberry Shortcake and the Chocolate Mousse. All I can say was...Yum! Our server was attentive and provided great service. We highly recommend eating here.

Great evening with family. The drinks were awesome. The margarita is a must try! My daughter said that the Bichonne frisée was great & my husband really enjoyed the Manhattan. Entrees were very tasty!! Smothered pork chop. Avocado salad with salmon. Tuna salad. All were hits!! Live music was very cool and definitely provided a vibe. And the music was not too loud (I’m always very sensitive to that). Definitely will return. Great service. Great food. Great drinks. Great time!!

I had a lovely dinner here my first night in Atlanta, service was prompt and the food was delicious. On the waiter's suggestion I shared the Georgia Trout which was delicious. Make sure you save room for the rosemary creme brulee --- it's to die for!

Friends took the wife and me to dinner at Ziba's the other night for her birthday and we both loved it. Ziba's is a small "storefront" restaurant in Grant Park. The staff was delightful, greeting us like we were good, old friends from the moment we walked in. The menu has a lot of different options, with mussels being the focal point ... maybe 7 or 8 ways to prepare them. In addition, there were beef, chicken, fish, pasta, and veggie options so there should be something good for everyone to eat. We had a couple of apps, steak fritte, chicken piccata and bowtie pasta with salmon. Everyone's meal was served fresh and hot and delicious. We all left well fed and happy! If you're looking for a cozy "out of the way" spot for a great dinner or lunch, Ziba would be a great choice!

Great food, great wine, great atmosphere and value. Marcie the owner runs this neighborhood favorite by getting to know her customers and making it a great experience. However this should be an Atlanta favorite, it's that good! Enjoy,a weekly customer!

Have been cited and shut down for health violations, and waiters have said the kitchen is disgusting. Unfortunately, the owner has treated neighbors who helped clean and run her errands so badly that she is on her own now. Have been made sick by food.

Nice, cozy neighborhood restaurant and bar. The staff was slightly cold and inattentive. The space is larger than it looks from the outside. Mussels were a huge feature on the menu but they were out by 6. The drinks were subpar. The white sangria simply tasted of white wine, the thundery drink had an overwhelming ginger taste that rendered it un-drinkable. The food almost redeemed the experience. While not an amazing food experience, the plate presentation was nice and the food a solid B-.

This friendly restaurant has a fabulous location near Grant Park. It's very charming with outdoor and indoor seating. Let me get to the amazing part, the Avacado Salad! We love food and are still talking about it back at our bed and breakfast. We are going back for dinner before we leave just for this salad!

We always enjoy lunch or dinner. Sadly they discontinued their brunch menu! Please bring it back! Still a nice place with thoughtful service and good food

The burrata appetizer was fantastic, acorn squash big bite was amazingly good, so good that as a meat eater I could have been entirely satisfied with it myself (my girlfriend's order). I had the flank steak which came out very raw, I dont like to send items back but too raw and our server insisted on taking back. The return was done perfectly, loved it and forgot all about the original slight mess-up. Only two downsides to Zibas: 1) The espresso machine was down and from what we heard from another patron, has been down a long time so that was a tease as we really wanted a couple espressos at the end of the meal. They should erase all the organic coffee drinks from the chalkboard menu. 2) ordered the tres leches cake for dessert which was bland at best. Cake tasted like a box cake and no real flavor or sweetness to the whipped cream or milks themselves. Fairly boring. BUT, it was raining quite hard when we left and the owner gave my girlfriend an umbrella to take home with her which was incredibly generous. Really something we wont forget and will return in a heartbeat to Zibas when in the area.

Carefully tucked away in the Grant Park section of Atlanta, this neighborhood is lucky to have this gem within their midst. Quirkily decorated with mood setting lighting, Ziba does not disappoint. I had the crispy calamari as a starter-yum, an apple salad yum again and the crab cake entrée, yummy! The portions were more than generous and everything that we ordered was great! Armed with pleasant service and fair prices, what's there to complain about? When in Grant Park, take advantage of Ziba's outdoor seating and tasty food, you'll pat yourself on the back for making a smart choice.

The service is always so good here. They will let you play with the menu a little bit, I added grilled steak to a salad and it was delicious. The sangria is very good as are their cocktails. Great dining experience.

My husband and I decided to go intown for food this past weekend. We made a special to this restaurant to see the art especially. What we found was some amazing food, wine, and a relaxing atmosphere. The service was impecable as well. We did arrive early to miss the crowd but I really don't think it would of made a difference. The food was fresh, different, and very tasty with a lot of depth to the flavor. The bread pudding with banana's was just the right amount and flavor to top off our wonderful dinner. If your in Atlanta I'd definitely remcommend Ziba's!

Visiting my sister from out of town and we went for dinner and drinks. This is my second time and it was just as good this time as the last time. I had a good draft beer and the Thai Mussels. It was a large bowl of mussels and the flavor was outstanding. I would highly recommend them. Omar was very friendly and the service was top notch. I look forward to the next time I am in town so I can eat here again!!!!

I felt compelled to write a review after having some of the best mussels at this restaurant. Ziba’s is in my neighborhood and never seems busy. Our first visit about 6 months ago was good, but not spectacular. We returned last Saturday night to find that the menu had changed. Gone was the chicken spanakopita that was our favorite from our last visit. But instead we tried the mussels which were the largest I have ever seen. They were perfectly cooked in a creamy sauce of white wine and shallots. The fries and baguette that accompanied the dish were also well done. We are looking forward to going back again soon!

Menu has a lot of solid choices from different cultures. I was craving American and got the burger and fries which was better than average. The staff were nice but it was very dark inside!

Friendly and relaxed atmosphere in Grant Park. Great mussels. Steak frites is good, as long as you have them put the blue cheese sauce on the side, they can sometimes overload it. Also good sandwiches for lunch.

We are lucky enough to have Ziba's within walking distance. Their food is very good and we love getting one of their variety of Mussels and a bottle of wine. What a great Friday night dinner. Servers, bar and owners are all very nice and like to stop and chat with patrons.

Fresh tapas styled food, casual atmosphere. We had an interesting selection of yuca fries with a dipping sauce, falafel cakes, calamari and empanada. Good wine selection. Everyting was hot and fresh and tasty.

I attended a retirement party last night at Ziba’s, (about 20 attendees) and everyone had a WONDERFUL time! The drinks were all good, the staff was without exception extremely attentive and polite, and the food was fabulous! We had just returned from a trip to the Georgia coastal islands, and Ziba’s crab cakes were honestly better than anything we ate at the best seafood restaurants there. They served a wide variety of dishes, and they were ALL good. I would not hesitate to recommend Ziba’s for your small parties, or for dinner out with someone special!

They treat everyone very well here. The food is always top notch and the portions never leave you hungry (and I eat a lot!).

We had 6 adults, 3 toddlers, and an infant for brunch and these folks were fantastic from greeting us at the door with praise for our kids to making sure we were all happy with our seating! Then the server was so attune to our needs and the kids' that it was unbelievable. They even brought fruit plates for the kids while we waited for our food! We will definitely return!

Joined co-workers for happy hour on a Friday evening. The location is on a main street near a residential neighborhood so parking is difficult. The atmosphere is great! It's a clean, fun restaurant. I wasn't super impressed with the drinks. They have beer, wine, & mixed drinks. I had the Southern Harvest. I had 2 appetizers: the crab cake (which was awesome) and an empanada that was "ok". Total came to about $40. The bathroom was clean & our server, Ashley, was great.

This place was amazing, a true bistro, we sat at a table outside next to the road but traffic noise seemed to drown away with every bite, the service was great, waters were never empty and food was fast and delicious, plate presentation was above expectations, I wanted to include pictures of the food but dove in immediately, definitely visit this restaurant!!!

This is a super-friendly, very casual and very good restaurant that has become one of our Atlanta favorites. Great atmosphere, excellent salads. Main courses usually very good but the burgers are just average . The rosemary creme brulee for dessert is amazing and maybe my favorite dessert in the city! You won't be disappointed at this place.

Affordable, great service, fun and delicious cocktails, fantastic salads. Good size portions at affordable prices, some outside tables, rosemary Crème Brule was wonderful. Nice after dinner coffee, Not a huge menu, but everything we tried was wonderful!

Food isn’t outstanding (except dessert was possibly best I’ve ever had). I ate small appetizer plates but the cocktails, dessert, ambiance, and service really wooed me.

My sister-in-law and I visited during lunch and liked it so much that we brought our husbands and in-laws for dinner. Service was great! Marcy treated us like old friends. The food, beer, and wine was a wonderful close to our trip to Atlanta. Dessert was divine.

Special occasion? Ziba's. Brunch? Ziba's. Hankering for mussels? Ziba's Random night? Ziba's. It's my favorite place to eat in Grant Park. Clearly. It has outdoor tables, a cozy atmosphere inside, great service, and incredible food. They also have occasional drink specials with purchase of entrees which is awesome. The menu changes seasonally but some highlights - their chicken empanada, the cheese plate, the meatloaf, steak frites, chocolate chip pancakes, and the creme brulee. And of course, they're known for their mussels so you can't go wrong if that's your thing.

Everyone here was wonderful. We stopped for a quick lunch, before heading to the airport. Atmosphere quaint, mushroom soup divine, as well as the wraps and burgers.

What a pleasant surprise to find this sidewalk restaurant and wine bar that has repurposed a neighborhood storefront into high quality food and drink. I was looking for a bite to eat after visiting the nearby Atlanta Zoo and drove by this place not believing my eyes, so turned down a side street, parked and walked into the best lunch ever. Salmon, kale, shiitake mushrooms, humus and a glass of Pinot Noir. I thought Torre was the owner because she knew so much about the menu and wine, but she is a passionate member of staff with a love of good quality food and service.

We were in town for a concert and wanted to try something close to where we were staying. This is a quaint little place near Grant park. There was live music and the service was top notch. The mussels were delicious. Great visit overall.

Staying @ local B&B and decided to try nearby restaurant for lunch. Everything on the menu looked good-eggplant sandwich was light, tasty, and filling. Highly recommend eating local-always a treat.

So many of the single-story store fronts in Atlanta are gone. It was a treat to eat in the great atmosphere at this one with its old wood floors and tin ceiling. The service was great even with our group constantly asking for one more thing. There is a signature cocktail menu and a small list of decent wines. The food was good - not write home to momma, raving good, but good. Notably, there is a long list of different way to have mussels. I would definitely recommend this place and I wish it a long life. There is no real dedicated parking. You have to park on the side streets.
Wonderful Christmas Eve Dinner!
In town for Christmas and had a party of 10 family members for Christmas Eve Dinner. The food was excellent, appetizers, salads and entrees. Service was fantastic. We had such a good time and so thankful for my sister and her husband taking us! I would highly recommend it an we will be back!
