Accommodation is generally divided into two areas: Daocheng and Yading. Daocheng offers relatively good accommodation, primarily consisting of youth hostels and family hotels. Budget hotels are also available, but they are relatively expensive. Accommodation in Yading is much poorer, primarily consisting of Tibetan-style houses and wooden cabins, without showers.
The Community Youth Hostel is Daocheng's first youth hostel and one of its most popular accommodations. The accommodations are clean, with shared restrooms and showers. Each room comes with an electric kettle for self-heating. Bicycles, sleeping bags, and Wi-Fi are available for rent. The area is also popular with hikers, and the information board at the entrance allows you to find travel companions or charter a car with them. You can also store unused gear here. If you're arriving by shuttle bus, the hostel will also arrange a shuttle.

Opened in August 2013, this inn has 30 guest rooms. The common areas are decorated in Tibetan style, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The inn offers convenient Wi-Fi. Each room has its own private bathroom. There are over 20 standard rooms, and dormitory rooms are available for 3, 4, 6, and 8 people. The rooms all feature tatami mats with 1.2-meter mattresses. The large courtyard offers lounge chairs for sunbathing and parking. The owner is friendly and will pick you up at the station. The downside is that the water heaters in the rooms are electric, so showering in a dormitory requires waiting.

This inn is run by a local. The parents are very nice. If you come to Daocheng in winter, staying here is a good choice. In winter, when it is cold, most of the water valves in the town are turned off. Most of the inns run by other places have left Daocheng. Only their inn does not turn off the water and can guarantee the water supply, which is very rare.

The hostel has two courtyards. The first, a Tibetan-style courtyard, is family-style. The second courtyard is located in the county center, conveniently located for those who enjoy a lively atmosphere. Transportation is very convenient, and the bus station is just a few minutes' walk away. The hostel is very affordable, the hygiene is good, and the service staff is very friendly.

Outside the Yading Nature Reserve, there are two campsites: Yading Village and Longtongba. There are numerous wooden houses and Tibetan-style dwellings available for accommodation, but the accommodation is rather basic and somewhat harsh. While accommodation has improved somewhat in recent years as Daocheng has become more widely known, it remains relatively difficult.
There are quite a few wooden houses in Yading Village and Longtongba, some of which are newly built and have a nice environment. Each room has 2-4 beds and costs 40 yuan per person. You can also consider the reception points set up by some travel agencies.
Staying in a Tibetan home allows you to experience authentic Tibetan culture. However, be prepared for the fact that most homes are quite simple, with accommodations often consisting of large bunk beds that can sleep 10-15 people. Furthermore, sanitary conditions may be poor, making it difficult for mainland tourists to adapt. The cost ranges from 20-40 yuan per person, and butter tea is provided free of charge.
