Puzhehei Village

Puzhehei Village is the largest natural village in Wenshan Prefecture. The village is inhabited by Yi people (Hei Yi), one of the earliest indigenous ethnic groups in Qiubei. It is a simple village with scattered houses. Visitors can stay here, eat farm meals, pick fruits, fish, appreciate lotus flowers and enjoy the scenery.

Puzhehei Lake

Puzhehei Lake, also known as Lantern Lake, is a plateau freshwater lake. "Puzhehei" is a transliteration of the Yi language, meaning "pond filled with fish and shrimp." Locals also call it "Pearl Lake." Puzhehei Lake boasts clear waters. In the summer, boat trips offer views of thousands of acres of blooming lotuses and towering peaks in the distance, creating a breathtakingly beautiful scenery.

Qinglong Mountain

Qinglong Mountain, with its main peak at 1,555.8 meters above sea level, stands opposite Fenghuang Mountain to the south, forming a "dragon and phoenix" formation. Eight caves, including Torch Cave, Moon Cave, and Zhangzui Cave, are nestled on the mountain's surface. Some of these cave entrances connect to the lake, and it has been discovered that Torch Cave and Moon Cave are connected. Zhangzui Cave traverses Dalong Mountain, connecting the lake and making it accessible to small boats. Three majestic island-like peaks rise from the northern part of the lake. Among them, Huoshen Mountain (Pearl Island), with its lush greenery and branches casting shadows underwater, serves as a kind of palanquin for the peaks. Qinglong Mountain offers panoramic views of Puzhehei and is a prime vantage point for viewing sunrise and sunset.

Torch Cave

Torch Cave is also called Torch Cave. There is a branch cave in the cave that connects to the Moon Cave. It has been partially developed. There are halls of various sizes in the cave, and several clear pools interspersed. There are more than 30 attractions such as Paradise on Earth, Tianchi, and Eight Hundred Arhats Worshiping Guanyin. The Torch Cave is full of stalagmites and stalactites. Under the light, it feels like entering a magical world in a game.

Moon Cave

The main cave of Moon Cave is 483 meters long, of which 184 meters is accessible by water (accessible by small boats). The cave floor is flat, and the interior is dotted with stalactites, stone curtains, and stone pillars. The best views are at 30, 120, and 200 meters. At 200 meters, a nearly circular hall with a diameter of about 10 meters is formed. A series of rock layers on the top and the cave ceiling have settled to form a circular cover, resembling a full moon, hence the name "Moon Cave." Moon Cave has been developed, with boat tours available. However, two flooded caves and one dry cave remain unexplored.

Guanyin Cave

Guanyin Cave, originally named Bainiujiao Stone Cave, features a hall within a cave, with caves within caves, each connected to the other. Surrounding the hall are nine caves of varying lengths, connecting to the Moon Cave and Torch Cave. Over 2,000 Guanyin statues of varying shapes and forms are carved inside and outside the cave, making it known as "the largest Guanyin Cave in Southeast Asia" and a prime venue for showcasing Guanyin culture.

Caihuaqing Village

Caihuaqing Village is named after its location on the edge of a valley with many cauliflowers. It is a local Miao village with a strong Miao culture, especially during the Huashan Festival held from the second to the seventh day of the first lunar month, where you can see activities such as horse racing, singing, and Miao dance.

Xianren Cave Village

Xianrendong Village, home to the Sani people of the Yi ethnic group, is surrounded on three sides by a lake. Thousands of acres of wild lotus flowers frame the village's yellow-walled, red-tiled houses. Lush green peaks rise from the lakeside, creating a beautiful and harmonious landscape. Xianrendong Village boasts scenic spots such as the Xianren Cave and Xianrendong Lake. Numerous inns offer accommodations, and the lake is a popular spot for cast-net fishing, teeming with fish and shrimp.
