Accommodation in Tibet is limited, and generally offers a low price/performance ratio. Most accommodations are located in Ruoergai County and Langmusi Town, though the more affluent can stay at the Yellow River First Bend Scenic Area. The number of tourists varies greatly between peak and off-season, so rooms are easy to find and relatively affordable during the off-season. However, during peak season, booking a good room is crucial, as there are only a few good options.
This is the only Tibetan-style hotel near the Western Tourist Ranch. The Tibetan-style wooden buildings are charming, well-equipped, and in excellent condition. Its location near the ranch makes dining convenient, and it's also close to horseback riding and whole lamb dine-in options. However, the wooden buildings lack sound insulation, and the Tibetan windows leak drafts during the fall and winter, making it quite cold. The staff are also quite unfriendly, and requests for extra blankets or other room options are met with irritation.

Located in the heart of Ruoergai County, it's close to the bus station, offering convenient transportation and numerous dining options. The hotel's facilities are generally complete, though a bit dated and sanitary. While the hot water is available 24 hours a day, it runs out late at night, and the water pressure is low. Overall, it's a decent stopover hotel.

It's called a five-star hotel, but the limited conditions in Tibet make it unlikely to be so. Fortunately, there was plenty of hot water, air conditioning and heating, and free Wi-Fi. Although it's a bit far from the city center, it's right by the river, across from the wetlands, and offers beautiful scenery.

As the only hotel within the Jiuqu First Bay scenic area, it's the perfect choice for sunrise and sunset viewing. It's a five-star hotel, with villa-style rooms equipped with heating and electric blankets, and generally quite good conditions. While there aren't many restaurants nearby, dining in the hotel's restaurant is acceptable, though it's a bit pricey.

There's a tent campsite within the Jiuqu First Bay scenic area. Some budget-conscious hikers or those with outdoor experience opt for tent accommodation. Tents can be pitched on their own, and tent hotels are also available. While tent accommodations are more challenging than those in hotels, they offer a unique sense of nature. From outside, you can admire the magnificent Milky Way, with a dazzling array of stars cascading down from the sky. However, be prepared for chilly nights, as there are only shared restrooms and no showers. Since there's no heating, camping is recommended in the summer, as mosquitoes are common, so bring mosquito repellent and anti-itch medication.
Reference price: 20-50 yuan/tent for self-provisioning (management fee), 100-200 yuan/tent for tent hotels
Langmusi Town is very small, with only one main street. There are hotels and teahouses everywhere in the town, so it is easy to find accommodation, but the conditions are relatively poor.
This is a small, clean, family-run hotel run by a Hui Muslim. The owner is very friendly and helpful. They have a water heater and electric blankets. Parking is available, but air conditioning is extra. When you arrive, you can call the owner to pick you up.

The decor is very Tibetan, with standard rooms and beds, and 24-hour hot water. The atmosphere is truly hostel-like, and hearing so many stories is one of the joys of staying here. The hostel even has an adorable Samoyed, and the story of the proprietress following him to Tibet for love is a classic story at the hostel.
