Introducing WuZhen

Wuzhen, one of the four famous towns of Jiangnan, boasts a rich history spanning over 6,000 years. Stepping into Wuzhen, its whitewashed walls, black tiles, small bridges, and flowing waters evoke the allure of Chinese ink paintings. Carved beams, painted buildings, stone alleys, and old houses create a picturesque scene that bears witness to the vicissitudes of history. East and West Sector are the most frequently visited areas. Within East Sector, stilt boats ply the East Market River, blue printed fabrics flutter in the breeze, and venerable pawnshops tell the story of Wuzhen. While West Sector lacks a more vibrant atmosphere, the nightscape of West Market River is captivating. Alternatively, simply enjoy an authentic waterside meal at a guesthouse and send a postcard from the old post office—a truly memorable experience.

Dongzha Dongshi River: One of the two main rivers in Dongzha, it is right at the entrance and can be said to be the life center of Dongzha.
