Most tourists visiting Xinduqiao don't make it their final destination. Instead, they typically opt for a series of surrounding tours or a circular tour of western Sichuan. This typically takes at least two days.
Route Features: Depart from Chengdu in mid-October, enjoy a relaxing self-drive trip and experience the most beautiful Photographer's Corridor.
Chengdu → Ya'an → Kangding → Xinduqiao → Tagong Grassland → Kangding → Chengdu
D1: Depart from Chengdu at 9:00 am, pass through Ya'an City, have lunch in Tianquan County, and arrive in Kangding County at 6:00 pm.
Day 2: Depart from Kangding at 9:00 AM, passing through Zheduo Mountain, and arrive in Xinduqiao at noon. Lunch at the hotel, and then explore the Jiagenba Township area in Xinduqiao in the afternoon. Before 6:00 PM, drive to Gaolusi Mountain Pass to see the golden mountain in the sun. Mount Gongga is on the left and Yala Snow Mountain is on the right. Return to Xinduqiao hotel after sunset.
Day 3: At 6:00 AM, arrive in Genba Township to watch the sunrise. Depart from Xinduqiao at 9:00 AM and head towards Tagong, stopping to explore along the way. Lunch in Tagong Town. In the afternoon, turn right at Tagong Temple and enter the Tagong Grassland. Continue along the Tagong-Kangding Highway, stopping to explore along the route. Overnight in Kangding County. Return to Chengdu the next day.
