There aren't many attractions in Yuxi City, so you can visit them all in one day. If you want to visit Fuxian Lake and its surroundings, 2-3 days is usually enough. If you have enough time, you can also spend another 2-3 days visiting the Ailao Mountains in Xinping County and then soaking in the hot springs in Huaning County.
Spend four days exploring Yuxi and surrounding areas and experiencing the charm of Yunnan.

D1: In the morning, drive to Mojiang, pass the world's tallest bridge in Yuanjiang, arrive in Mojiang, visit Sun Square, have lunch at Shuanglong BBQ City or Bixi Ancient Town to enjoy special barbecue, visit the Tropic of Cancer Landmark Park, see architectural pieces, sculptures and theme landmark gardens such as "Road of the Sun", "Kuafu Chasing the Sun", "Gate of the Tropic of Cancer", "Sundial Square", "Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter", and overlook the magical Twin Wells; in the afternoon, drive to Pu'er, pass through Ning'er County, visit the starting point of the Ancient Tea Horse Road - Zero Kilometer Monument, arrive in Pu'er, appreciate the scenery of the Ancient Tea Horse Road, enjoy the night view of the tea city after dinner, and check in to the hotel.
D2: After breakfast, drive to the China Pu'er Tea Culture Expo Park to admire the picturesque scenery of the ten thousand mu ecological tea garden. Then, drive to the Wild Elephant Valley Scenic Area to visit the Python Garden, Butterfly Garden, Monkey Garden, Bird Garden, and watch an elephant training performance. Take the Rainforest Cableway to tour the tropical rainforest and visit the Tree Hotel. On the way, cross the Caiyang River Forest Park and go to the Dadu Port No. 2 Tunnel Observation Deck to admire the original forest scenery. Then drive to Jinghong. Dinner is recommended to taste the Dai-style meal.
D3: After breakfast, visit Menglun Botanical Garden, enjoy the scenery of Lancang River, see Dai village architecture, visit Ganlanba Market, participate in the Dai Garden Water Splashing Festival, watch song and dance performances, etc., then take a bus to Pu'er.
D4: After breakfast, drive to Yuxi and go to Hongta Group Industrial Park. Visit the Central Landscape Square, climb Hongta Mountain, and then visit Nie Er's former residence. In the afternoon, return to Kunming by bus, ending your pleasant trip!
Spend a day exploring Fuxian Lake and experiencing the beauty of the mountains and waters.
D1: Fuxian Lake - Luchong Village - Gushan Island - Jieyu Stone
Arrive at Luchong Village in the Fuxian Lake Scenic Area, then take a speedboat to Gushan Island, the only island on the lake. Further south, visit the Boundary Fish Stone, where the bighead carp of Xingyun Lake and the anti-wave fish of Fuxian Lake mark their boundary and return home. In the afternoon, soak in the hot springs at Reshui Pond in the eastern part of the lake. With its numerous springs, Reshui Pond is a great place for a relaxing soak. Afterwards, return to Yuxi City by bus or stay in a hotel near Fuxian Lake.
Spend two days exploring Yuxi, enjoying the scenery and appreciating its culture.
D1: Fuxian Lake - Luchong Village - Gushan Island - Jieyu Stone
D2: Xiushan Park - Hongta Industrial Zone - Nie Er Park
Day 1: Take a bus from Kunming East Bus Station to Chengjiang County (approximately 2 hours). After arriving in Chengjiang County, transfer to a minibus for a 20-minute ride to the Fuxian Lake Scenic Area, which will take you to Luchong Village, the center of the area. Alternatively, take a bus from Kunming West Station to Chengjiang (56 kilometers). From there, enjoy the scenery of Luchong, then take a speedboat to Gushan Island. Continue south to visit Jieyu Rock, then take a bus from Jiangchuan to Yuxi. Overnight at a city hotel.
D2: In the morning, visit Xiushan Park and climb Xiushan Mountain. In the afternoon, visit the Yuxi Cigarette Factory and Hongta Mountain in the city. Take Bus No. 2 to Nie Er Park on Fenghuang Road to visit Nie Er's former residence and the Nie Er Memorial Hall. Then, take a bus back to Kunming West Railway Station from the Passenger Transport Center.
Stay in Yuxi for a day to enjoy the beautiful mountains and visit the big lake.
D1: Xiushan Scenic Area - Qilu Lake - Shagouzui Lakeside Park
In the morning, we'll visit Xiushan Scenic Area. During the Ming Dynasty, Xiushan, along with Jinma Mountain and Biji Mountain in Kunming, and Cangshan Mountain in Dali, was considered one of Yunnan's Four Famous Mountains, earning it the reputation of "the most beautiful mountain in southern Yunnan." We'll then visit Qilu Lake, closely connected to Xiushan. Along the shores are artificial sea dikes, offering stunning views and opportunities for fishing. On the north shore of Qilu Lake lies Shagouzui Lakeside Park, built on a natural sand spit extending directly into the lake. Surrounded by water on three sides, the park's pool connects to the lake, creating a picturesque setting. After exploring the park, we'll return to Yuxi by bus.
