It was a decent size outlet mall with a variety of restaurants. We ended up at hooters. Your right across the river from casinos even though I don't gamble. If shopping is your thing, this mall has a lot of it. We went weeks before Christmas so it wasn't to packed nor to hot. I enjoyed myself.

We always have fun on the boardwalk, something for everyone. Great restaurants like Jose crab shack right on the boardwalk. We especially like the under armor store, prices are always great.

By Somer C |

We enjoyed the boardwalk, it was clean and there's a lot of stores. They have alot of stores that we don't have here at our local mall. They also have a trolley if you need a ride back and forth to different stores.

By Rosa B |

hot and hot and hot but lots of places to see and spend money and shop and eat. shoppers dream and plenty of people around.

By jacobchristy |

We had a nice time. We ate at Saltgrass and did a little shopping. Something to do instead of the casinos. We stayed at the Margaritaville so it was just steps away.

By Paula W |

We love to go there especially during the Christmas holidays when Santa is all set up and our grandchildren make their Christmas wishes.

By martinimann |

The stores at the boardwalk are way over priced. Nothing special about the restaurants there as well.

By davidgZ1554IL |

A multitude of stores with great variety and many fun items as well as essentials. You can dine, stroll and enjoy window shopping for hours

By TravelingGal87 |

It’s basically your typical mall. But if you’re in the area it’s nice to visit the different places to eat.

By Chris R |

The board Wallis a great place to walk around and shop and see then river. In the heat of the summer recommend going in the evenings

By Shannamagee |

Enjoyed our quick weekend visit. Very clean and beautiful. Wish I had more time to visit all the store. We'll be back though.

By Jennifer B |

The Boardwalk is by far my favorite place to go to shop. The area is enclosed which makes for a more pleasant experience to shop, also they have a trolley if you need to catch a ride from one store to another. The store deals are good and the music played is pleasant. Highly recommend!

By ashvbou |

My home town needs a place like this. Awesome shopping, food, music and much much more. It has a huge selection of shopping with a great view and restaurants for anything you may be in the mood for.

By bgschihuahuas |

We were in Bossier for the AKC dog show. Our first to go to the boardwalk. There is just an out any shop you want you want there ever a theater. Multiple places to eat. I would love to go back

By Pambomatic |

Some pretty cool stores, big movie theater. Pleasant and safe. Only complaint? Serious lack of shade, you are in full sun. A few shaded areas to sit down in would make it more family friendly.

By e w |

Very clean, easy parking, nice outdoor shopping venue. The Free Trolley around was very, very helpful given current disability. IMAX movies very expensive so we skipped that. Some of the restaurants are on the water. Most are normal mall type stores. Ate at IHOP (not on the water) - slow service but good, VERY good food.

By VegasHopper |

The pedestrian walkway is actually a nice walk with beautiful landscaping. From Margaritaville Casino it’s a short walk past Bass Pro. Although I was disappointed there were no alligators in the alligator display pen. My wife actually bought some inexpensive jewelry at a shop. I’m sure on a Friday/Saturday evening it would be even more fun. I was surprised that you couldn’t walk to the Horseshoe, which is adjacent, but then again a railroad track separates them. A good place for casual walking and a bit of exercise.

By suzic1990 |

They have everything in one place some of the best stores to shop at. I have been to quite a few of Outdoor World but I have to admit this in the BEST store I have ever been to. No matter what you are looking for they have it !!

By Hejama3 |

We have been going here for years. Not your typical outlet type of shopping. The location is beautiful. It's on the river. They have a trolley to take you from end to end of Main Street. They have amazing shops. Always so clean and cheery. They have music playing over intercom as you walk from store to store. Have always seen security walking around. We will leave Tyler, Texas just to come here and shop. We do lots of shopping and then lots of eating. Amazing restaurants on the river side. On Friday and Saturdays they are always packed. Lots of family groups there for various sports events, proms, concerts.. etc. it appears to be a favorite spot. Large groups can go and everyone find something they like to eat and places to shop.
Such a favorite in our house that even when my college kids come home they want to go there and eat, shop and catch a movie before heading back to college.

By misspatrick1977 |

Nice area with great views of the red river. Visit Bass Pro even if you don't hunt/fish. Jerky outlet has a crawfish boil flavor that's insane. Once you worked up a good appetite from walking be sure to stop at Hooters for some smoked wings.

By willie777 |

We stayed at Margaritaville which is right next door to the Boardwalk. We were there on Christmas Eve and everything was winding down but there was a lot to see. Between The Boardwalk and the hotel is Bass Pro which never gets old. The Boardwalk is right on the Red River and is quite modern and clean. It has such stores as Nike, Banana Republic,Cold Stone Creamery, Fossil, Hooters, Under Armour and many more. It's worth the time to visit. The place is nicely landscaped and I think it would be great in the summer.

By mscynt41 |

I always enjoy the Louisiana Boardwalk in Bossier City, LA. The scenery is always so pretty. The different shops and stores always have something exciting to offer. The dining experience is great as well.

By free2givepraise |

Had great time shopping, eating, getting mani/pedi, and sight seeing... Can't wait to go back real soon.

By Joe-Rhenee |

We come here often and have been pleased with the stores we shop at. Don't be confused, this is not an outlet mall. It has alot of specialty stores and some great restaurants. The theater is great for catching a movie. We love it during the holidays when it is all lit up.

By Texmarc |

What to do while car is getting serviced? Not a gambler so bouts out, seen all of the museums from Barksdale Global Power to Spring Street Museum. What was left...Louisiana Boardwalk. The place was like a ghost town, but the stores were open...which wasn't bad. Weather was nice ...which made the walking around and watching the river flow enjoyable. The best part was buying a $225.00 sport coat for only 29.95...which was priceless to someone who's always looking for a bargain. If you find yourself with some extra time midweek, check it out...youll miss the weekend crowd and maybe find a bargain you just can't refuse.

By JMurray71 |

We enjoyed our afternoon strolling along the Louisiana Boardwalk. There was no crowds on a Monday after noon. The way I personally like it! However I have to wonder how this area makes it. I enjoyed shopping at the Bass Pro Shops and a drink and "wings" at Hooters. I would like to see the boardwalk extend on down to the Horseshoe Casino. Maybe the foot traffic between the Horseshoe and Margaritaville would bring a few more customers through the area.

By Hollie H |

My grand daughter and I enjoyed the Boardwalk this past weekend. We walked around, bought candy at the Chocolate Crocodile and went to see the movie, "Peter Rabbit". We had a very enjoyable time! There is a lot to do at the Louisiana Boardwalk! :-)

By trevorrohm |

Great shopping area. The river is close, but no really much to see. There is an arcade for the kids, movie theater, a few places to eat and lots of parking. Good variety of shops and the kids loved the free trolley that takes a big loop around the shops. We spent all day and night here, breakfast, lunch, dinner, movies, and games and shopping. Worth it.

By SALinnear |

The Boardwalk was good when it first opened. It had awesome stores and it was a much needed addition to the local enconomy. But as always with stores and restaurants in this area businesses started closing because of no support and bad management. New ones would open and close soon after. The movie theater and a couple of decent restaurants are the main attractions there now. There are a few stores and restaurants like Gap Factory, Banana Republic, Nike, Skechers, Wilson's, children's stores, Copeland's, Saltgrass, How's Crabshack, Hooters, and Auntie Anne's that have stood the test of time. If you're looking for entertainment other than a movie this is not the place to go.

By April N |

The boardwalk offers so many different choices from eating to shopping it's amazing. You're right by the Bass Pro Shop the guys really enjoyed that. When they were there the girls went to the Chocolate Crocodile which has wonderful chocolates. You could go to Papaya, Banana Republic, or Nike so many things to do down there it was amazing I loved it.

By John B |

We found Louisiana Boardwalk to be quite depressing. On a Tuesday afternoon the mall was all but empty with the piped in music being the only sound you heard through the grounds. The stores are the same old ones you find at any outlet mall in America - Gap, Nike, Carter's, etc.) with nothing special on offer. If you;re bored and looking to kill time (away from the casinos) it might not be a bad option but as a destination unto its own - avoid.

By Thomas M |

There are a lot of vacancies for the boardwalk. They have 32 vacancies for 58 properties, the trolley does not run anymore, I think this is a dying enterprise.

By Po143 |

This place is ok but not great! Need more selections! And it's hot as hell in the summer. Need to add more quick places to eat!

By Traveler2019 |

I absolutely love the Louisiana Boardwalk Bossier City. Outlet shopping, clothing, shoes, accessories, candles etc. Great variety of food. Great place for family outing or solo like myself.

By Gwen D |

On a sunny day, it is a great way to get outside, enjoy the river , shops and food. The Hotel is perfect.

By Tapas Sarma |

Right at the border of Arkansas, Texas and Louisiana and off I-20 exit near the heart of Shreveport/Bossier City resides this secret zone of fun. Minutes away from all the lights and sounds of multiple dazzling casinos across the river is located this shopping complex.

First of all, the shopping experience will woo you, dining options are many, sidewalk live music, movie theatre, night life, hotels and the very best Bass Pro Shop. Lots of brand name stores and even carousels for young children.

The place is very safe, family friendly, totally secured and down home people. You got to be here

By Buffy B |

Just okay, not much to really brag about. Nike outlet is always a bang for your buck. Wish they would have had more to offer, I really looked forward to going and spending more time.

By KB013 |

There are so many fun things to do at the boardwalk other than shopping. Movies, arcade, carousel, and many restaurants. It is a great place to visit.

By Debra G |

My sister and I had a great time walking, sight-seeing, and eating at Joe's Crab Shack! We also went back the next day to see a movie. We had a great time visiting Shreveport/Bossier!

By CFEIII |

Really nice shopping area, clean, not very crowded when we were there. The pandemic was tough on this area, quite a few shops are closed. There are still numerous shops and restaurants, plus the Bass Pro shop.

By Debbie N |

Has good variety of shops for all ages. Bass Pro is wonderful! Some great restaurants and a nice movie theater. Plus has hotel next to it. Close to casinos too!

By delyn35 |

This looked like most any outlet mall I have been too..usual names, brands etc. What is nice is that it is next to the river, and a Bass Pro Shop. They have a free trolley, though the AC was broken when I rode it, so it was hot inside. They have music events and other actitivities, making it a popular place.

By Waunderlust |

There are a lot of shops here, which makes for a good walk. Outside of that, there isn’t much else lol

By De'Wayne M |

The Boardwalk was a nice small outdoor shopping center that has more of the stores that are suited for the travelers in town for gambling and did pretty good on the slots. The prices are pretty high, but, this is not an outlet type of shopping area. So, no complaints there. The one BAD experience that I had on the Boardwalk was at the Levi Store. My wife and I went in because we happen to like the jeans and off we go to see what we can purchase. Things were well as the sales/cashier showed me what they had as my wife surfed the clothes as only a woman shopper can do it. SLOWLY and looking at everything! The Manager (as she had a name tag that stated such) demoralized me into a thief. I am not really a thief; yet, she followed me around the store so much that I wanted to turn around and ask her if she feels like I am here to steal a pair of jeans. I am a well dressed, clean cut professional and I will risk everything to grab a pair of jeans and run out the store. NOPE, I don't see it happening! She did though. After leaving the store, my wife asked me if I noticed the Manger following me like I was going to steal something. It was only two staff (Manager included) and my wife and I. Yes, I noticed it very much. I will never patron that store again if we travel to Bossier for the gambling experience. Shame, we spent over $1500 in Banana Republic right after leaving Levis, because, they treated us like people and not thieves.

By william g |

Very nice place to visit. We walked along the red river seen the paddle noat casino's. Visited the outdoor world store for a fun day along the river.

By Bryan B |

The boardwalk is a relaxing environment with plenty of shops and places to eat. There is ample parking in the area as well.

By 816coreys |

The Boardwalk caters to just about anyone. There's great shopping places, eating places, and leisure stops. The movie theater is the staple of the place and Bass Pro is there for anyone who wants to look for hunting, fishing, and camping items.

By 815joyc |

We had perfect weather while in Bossier, so I know that helped. It was such a nice peaceful shopping experience. Loved walking along the river. Loved that the shopping had no traffic, vehicles. It just made for a pleasant experience. Music playing, no traffic to deal with, nice shops, good restaurants. I can not wait to go back. The only thing I would change is open a walkway to the Horseshoe Resort. It would be within walking distance, but is fenced off leaving no access. Since that is where we will probably be staying when we come back it saddens be to be so close to the Boardwalk and not be able to walk over. Other than that, the Boardwalk itself is awesome!!

By Fanci411 |

My husband and I BOTH enjoyed our visit to the Boardwalk. There were a wide variety of shops and a decent selection of places to eat that could accommodate different preferences.

By Doug L |

Very cool outlet mall and fun atmosphere, if you have to go shopping this is the place to go. I don't care too much for shopping but this is a best place. A must visit!

By Cynthia B |

I was worried when I saw how far away from the river we had to park our car in the garage, but it was an easy stroll, actually. Even in the heat of June we found it nice! Plus we could stop in many different stores for shopping in air conditioned comfort. We also stood on the boardwalk under the bridge and watched the river.

I think a wheel chair could go anywhere I went, only just travel to the ramps up and down the streets of the village. A nice stop off from the Interstate.

By echobear592 |

We needed some new shoes. Best shopping in the area. We arrived before 11:00am on Sunday and walked the area. Quiet and not crowded. We shopped for shoes and are very pleased with the bargains we found. Stopped into the art gallery and had a very nice tour with the artist on duty. You can have a painting party or glass blowing class. Great visit to the Boardwalk.

By Brenda L |

Beautiful place to just walk around. Great shopping. Great food. Great entertainment. Spent almost the whole day just walking around and shopping.

By Laura M |

Kids loved the arcade. Variety of stores. Good outlet prices. Great place for family to shop. Copelands bistro is a good place to eat at.

By mi_chelle8005 |

I remember when The Louisiana Boardwalk flourished with such a wide variety of stores. From The Old Farmers Almanac General Store to coffee shops and bakeries to upscale clothing stores like White House Black Market and J Crew. There were several restaurants like Pietro’s Pizzeria, Buffalo Wild Wings, Which Wich, Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt and so... many... more! And there used to be a bowling alley!! That seems like forever ago! There were so many shoppers and the place flourished with customers! You’d see security patrolling on Segways or bicycles to ensure a safe and clean environment.
We still enjoy the walk near the river, the fountain and a couple of restaurants but there is so much potential for more. I wish they could bring back the entertainment, something for kids and adults. I know they have the arcade and the Carousel but wouldn’t laser tag, mini-golf or bowling be great options!? Something interactive! And bring back a coffee shop... that would be incredible, especially during the cooler months!
We ‘like’ the Louisiana Boardwalk... but we used to ‘love it’ because there was so much more there to enjoy!

By Staci W |

Very few stores are open, I would say about 25%. It’s looks like it was once a very cool shopping area with a trolley but mostly abandoned now. Hopefully it can be revived with new stores!

By Wendy P |

The last time we went, it was not crowded at all. We are always able to get some really good deals on candles at a couple of the stores there. We also like going to Bass Pro and eating at the Cheesecake Bistro.

By paulgX5110FQ |

had a good time checking out all their shops, made use of the trolley, first thing to see where to start

By Renata N |

Nice to see some stores not usually a part of your typical outlet mall. In addition to your standard GAP, Nike, Skechers, etc, there was a kitchen store and Bath and Body. Large Bass Pro Shop down on one end and a hotel on the other. The water running next to the boardwalk was reddish, not sure why.

By CES122 |

Clean and safe. 30-40 shops. Connoted to hotel and located under the I-20 bridge. Several casinos within 5-10 miles of this location. Worth the time. Check calendar for Holiday Events.

By dawnah |

I was surprised at how pretty this area is and how many outlet shops there were. The casinos, shopping, restaurants and a movie theater are all in one convenient area where there's plenty of room to park and explore. The views of the river were really nice also.

By bovine27 |

Many stores to choose from. Be sure to stop at the info desk at the parking garage for coupons. There are coupons online too. The stores offer great deals. It's quite a bit of walking but the ground is smooth. There is a trolley to get you back to the beginning after you have walked it all. Or it can take you to the end and you walk your way back stopping and shopping. Several restaurants to choose from. All the people are so friendly. Only 1 lady was rudish at the Uniform Outlet. She informed us they don't have sales. Just everyday low prices. Whatever, I didn't buy anything in there. Didn't find what I would call a good deal. We sure found good deals at Wilson Leather, Lane Bryant, Rocket Fizz, Carter's and a few more. Ate a great lunch at Hooter's. Used the free fried pickles coupon we got at the info desk. Yum, Yum! We come about once a year to do Christmas shopping. They never disappoint!

By K91709Reviewer |

Nothing special here. We went on a Friday afternoon in January. There were only a few shoppers. Nothing special. I wouldn't go to any effort to go back. If I were a local, I might shop there, that's about it.

By Five_Aces_Tx |

If you're staying at the Horseshoe or Margaritaville and you want something to do besides gamble then you are walking distance from an array of entertainment at the Boardwalk. Lots of restaurants, a movie theater and shopping round out this nice area. There's also a walking path along the river. Plenty of parking.

By Luevada C |

I loved this area. You have everything right at your fingertips. Movies, shopping, site seeing, outdoor adventure, food, and there is something for everyone to see. A great place for the entire family and all your friends..... A MUST SEE AREA IF YOUR IN SHREVEPORT, LOUISIANA....

By okwriting |

I love this place. You can shop, and eat. The kids can ride rides. You can watch live alligators and big fish or see a movie. You can stretch your legs and just window shop. There are tons of things to do and see at the boardwalk!

By Martin Y |

This is a lovely development that has fallen upon bad times. The general structure remains well maintained and provides a pleasant stroll but many of the shops have closed. There are still enough to make a visit worthwhile. There is an excellent cinema with IMAX and a Bass Pro store. Stay either at the Courtyard Marriott at one end or the Margaritaville casino at the other and just walk out the door.

By Don E Wilt |

Beautiful outdoor shopping center on the river. Beautiful, amazing views and scenery. Lots of Great name stores and restaurants.

By dwlshreveport |

This is a place that has it all. Movies, great places to eat, shopping, as well as great Hotels and even Cascino gaming available. It is rested on the banks of a great view of the Red River and you can walk and see a really nice view. There is a Bass Pro Shoppe, and you can get any kind of beef jerky you can think of at the beef jerkey store. I like the Japenese resteraunt -- Shushiko -- the best. It is easy to go anywhere in Shreveport and Bossier from this location.

By RustonTraveller |

More and more stores appear to be leaving the boardwalk. it's a fun atmosphere, but if the stores and restaurants aren't there, it can't last much longer.

By txpackerfan10 |

Stopped at bass pro walked around shopping. Not sure how I’d like it when it’s hot but was a nice day.

By TNHarleyChick |

If you're in the area, I would highly recommend visiting here. There are all kinds of shops for everything you can imagine, plus several options for food. Best of all, it is located right on the river. You can take a nice stroll a long the river and see all the sites. The large bridge that goes over is cool as well.

We were here at night, but it was well lit and seemed to be a safe area. I've attached pics.

By Ashley P |

We love to take our family and friends here! Moved away but when we visit we get a hotel near the boardwalk. Great shopping and quality time with the family.

By Steve P |

Great shopping experience, Nice boardwalk style overlooking the red river. Restaurants, shopping and anchored by Bass Pro Shop.

By Charles V |

Seems to be the go to for overpriced shopping in the area. Rode the carousel. Nice scenery to walk by the not so clean river.

By GARY C |

Great shopping and food, something for everyone and we loved it! Looking forward to coming back in the near future

By Mike P |

Must do when visiting Bossier City. Great shopping in the outlet stores and will save big. Many good places to eat and scenic views of the river.

By Jerry371 |

Lots of stores to visit. There were a number of stores that had closed. Not many people were there shopping. It was a Thursday when we went

By Shompa |

Quite nice, visited two eating joints, Hooters n Salt Grass steakhouse, good food...friendly n helpful staff in the various shops...great stuff..

By BJ C |

It's so good to shop the old fashioned way by walking to individual stores. Wear comfortable shoes! We shopped at Yankee Candle and Michelle and she was great helping us score on a big sale. Next Maddy and Julie provided friendly service at Sketchers; there was a sale there too. Rose helped us get a discount at Perfumes 4U. Our server Angie at Saltgrass Steak House was super and the food was awesome! The price at Saltgrass was appropriate for two for the amount of good food we were served. There's always room for icecream at Coldstone. Last but not least was everyone's professional service helping us find the right sizes at Bass Pro shop.

By Richard D |

We have gone to Bossier City for special occasions and have always enjoyed shopping at the boardwalk. Not only is it clean but it has multiple shops with excellent prices, Under Armor and Nike have warehouses with great buys; several restaurants to choose from and movie theater amongst other good shopping

By blonnka |

It’s assumed that Covid has turned this outlet mall into a ghost town. The theatre, some restaurants, and a couple of stores still exist, but most have boarded up and left.

The Chocolate Crocodile is still open,

By gardiniagirl |

I have 3 men hunters in my family, this is the go-to-place
for all your hunting needs, and more. They have everything, hunting, fishing, boating.

By Amanda W |

This place is great for a day getaway. It has it all, shopping, food, fresh air, rode the trolley, sit and eat ice cream, watch a movie. You can spend the entire day here and not get bored. Great for family to get out of the house.

By Donald M |

Visited the boardwalk and was amazed. Never thought I'd find something this big in "little" Shreveport. An amazing variety of quality shops and stores and EVERY one we visited we were met by happy friendly staff. I never knew there was a store just to buy "Jerky"! A whole store full of any kind of jerky you could imagine - and some I couldn't imagine 😀 It was a great day and I would highly recommend this to everyone young, old and in between!

By carolf74 |

this was the first time I have eaten at this establishment and was I in for a great meal. The hamburgers were so good and tasty and the fries were great. Short wait and clean building which is a plus. thank you

By GTXC4 |

Overall, possibly the main attraction in the Shreveport/Bossier metro area. Many shops, restaurants, bowling alley, movie theater, trolley that tuns up and down the walk, and security throughout. Smoke free, which is a plus! Kids love it, plenty to see and do right off the Red River. Of course, someone threw up the Bass Pro, photo. Parking garage isn't bad either, always gotten a lvl 1 spot for years.

By Earnest V |

Wow, what an amazing day at the Boardwalk

So many shops , so clean , lots of places to eat, a Merry Go Round and Street cars :)

To top it all off the Pokémon were coming out in droves :)

By Michael E |

I look the boardwalk. It has everything. You and your family can enjoy the day festivities, and you and your significant other can glaze into the night life. The restaurants are very good. I personally like Copelands. The bar area be off the chain. And then, I B-Walking by the Water.

By Sandy C |

We always visit a couple of stores when in Shreveport. Bass pro shop is awesome! Check out the bass fish tank and the stuffed animals upstairs. Good variety of shopping on the boardwalk. Stays open late and the walking is very nice at night along the river.

By Joyce D |

Great place to walk outside while getting a few bargains in the many outlet stores. The Boardwalk is pedestrian friendly with the parking lots on the outside of the venue. The trolley meanders through the length of the boardwalk to drop you off near restaurants, shops, or the IMAX and 14 theaters .
The Boardwalk schedules local bands, shows, and entertainment through out the year to entertain people "under the bridge" , the Texas Street bridge runs over the Boardwalk!!!!
Beautiful fountains, decorations, and even music welcome all shoppers!
Casinos, shops, theater, restaurants. What's not to like????

By Pete C |

We especially enjoy shopping on the boardwalk. Thr Kitchen Connection is a must for us. There are ample places to dine for any meal and a delightful plaza on which to 'walk it off.' Last trip we found great shoes to add to our ambling adventures too.

By debbie s |

a nice walk to enjoy. shops, trolley bus to take for free. dancing fountain to see, is hot in the summer though. walking distance to margaritaville casino

By Larry K |

Loved walking up and down windowshopping. Had to stop in a few stores to get something to eat, buy some knickknacks and some candles. The movie theater is great, bass pro shop was a plus. Taking selfie's out by the water was enjoyable. During the week is rather slow and the weekends are definitely more crowded. Sitting by the musical water fountain was awesome. Great parking

By coko4061 |

I go to the Louisiana boardwalk all of the time. Security is always present I feel safe and let my children walk around by their safe most of the time. If ever Intown this is a great place for a family outing. With nice places to eat.

By BrookeM08 |

We always enjoy strolling and browsing the shops at the boardwalk and the Bass Pro Shop. We don't get to go often but when we do we enjoy it.

By Ava H |

This place has it all. It’s clean, pretty and provides a perfect place to spend the day shopping. We thoroughly enjoyed our day here and don’t miss the Chocolate Crocodile for a sweet treat.

By Susan H |

Staying at the horseshoe casino and the view of the shopping area is beautiful. The manicured trees are so cute! The grounds keepers must be very professional

By conniemorgan1963 |

The
Louisiana Boardwalk is a ghost of its former self. Seeing all the empty buildings is really sad. This used to be a place where you could spend the entire day shopping. There are still a few good eating places but to do much shopping you need to leave. I really hope that those in charge of the Boardwalk are trying to figure out what they need to do to bring businesses back to the Boardwalk. From all appearances not much effort is being put into it. There is so much potential for this area. I hope it will someday return to its former glory!

By 600samuelp |

My sister and I were to meet our sister at Louisiana Boardwalk I'd never been! So many shops on one block! I watched as they bought items! You could take the trolley to the next block but we walked! We decided to watch a movie at Cinema Regal it was nice! Movie over we walked to the next block! Shop employees handing out free samples! I loved the atmosphere of Boardwalk and you will too! I'm ready to go back!

By z123a |

We have been several times, and it's outdoor shopping in Louisiana, so it can be very HOT. It's right on the river and it's really pretty, but the walking and the heat can be excessive. There is shopping, restaurants and a movie theater that was VERY crowded on Saturday Afternoon.

By Mike B |

Nothing spectacular here but a nice getaway for a couple of hours. Bass Pro is the best for shopping and sights of the Red River. Some of the outlet stores have good sales and selection. Salt grass is the better of the restaurants there.

By Ashley E |

The boardwalk was a cool area to walk around . There was live entertainment outside and a clown. It was a mixed variety of people young and old , couples, families , and singles. Would reccomend for this area. Not much else to do

By Lori G |

Mt husband and I had a great time took lots of pictures and walked around and looked at the shops all in all a great time

By MillieJ |

Not only are there many shops to choose from, there are so many restaurants. There are gift shops in the building as well as on the sidewalks. You can buy for male, female, children, teens, adults, friends, grandparents. you can eat cheap, moderate or on the higher end. So much to do and see. You can spend a good 6-8 hours with shopping, eating or activities. Just be prepare for the weather. Can get very hot and humid.

By droddy112 |

Great shopping experience. Checked out a few stores. Could use a few more shops and they have the space. It’s a great area of town as well.

By yaykitty |

This is an outdoor mall that boasts many outlets, such as Nike and Banana Republic. Even if it is massively hot outside, the inside of the stores are always air-conditioned. There are also many places to eat- Copeland's, Joe's, etc.

By Camilo R |

The boardwalk in Bossier City is a great place to kill time. The boardwalk is well-kept and the landscape is well-groomed. They also have a Saltgrass restaurant which is one of my favorites well done Bossier City. They have a trolley that runs the length of the boardwalk that you can ride on and at the far end there is a carousel.

By DianneK |

Not very busy on our visit. Enjoyed just hanging out and visiting some of the shops. Ate lunch, watched the river, and relaxed.

By Kenny M |

My wife loves this place and could shop there all day and I like it because there are plenty places for me to get a cold beverage or 3 while she shops. The place is very clean and a really nice place to just chill by the Red River.

We have visited the boardwalk for many years when we are in town visiting family. It seems to be going the way of most malls...struggling to keep going. It is a nice place to walk and get a view of the Red River, and except for the Bass Pro Shop which seems to be an anchor, many of the stores are closing. In fact there has never been full capacity of open stores. They try to draw people during holidays with activities or fireworks, but overall it seems sad.

By CH772013 |

Touted as a local landmark, the Boardwalk is clean and has some really nice spots. The stores are clean, although not all of the employees are friendly. That seems to be a trend in the Shreveport area. The stores can also be fairly expensive. Overall, it's a nice place to visit, especially in the evening.

If you are looking for Great shopping, eating, relocation, & entertainment the boardwalk is the place. Trolley to ride. Security visible for safety.

By debrajo1954 |

Lots of nice shops of all kinds.. Lots of Restaurants. Great for families too. Beautiful scenery, looking out over the Red River..

By TX0810 |

Visited the boardwalk over the weekend. Good shopping and food all within walking distance. Nice change of scenery for us. Place is clean and saw a lot of security we felt safe. We didnt have to leave the boardwalk, there are restaurants lots of shopping available there is a 14 theater movie cinemaplex bass pro and casino all within walking distance.

Love shopping at the boardwalk. Favorite places are the chocolate crocodile and under armour. I so miss the farmers almanac I loved the syrups and jelly there. You hv got to try a monster croc there. They are amazing!!

By jessicasd23 |

Not near as many shops as there use to be. About half the stores were empty. Time could have been spent elsewhere for better time

By Derek404ATL |

We've been here several times over the past few months. The "open concept" retail/dining experience is a good fit in this riverside location. There are many good choices for browsing, shopping, and dining. The fountains and faux "trolleys" give the place a nice atmosphere, as does the carousel. It's a good place for an outing--as long as the weather is decent.

By _poolerc |

My shopping experience was great. The sales personnel was very helpful finding our requested items. The clerks at checkout were also very pleasant.

By srtraveler_11 |

We enjoyed a beautiful evening stroll along the Louusiana Boardwalk, Looking down on the Red River , and the casinos across the way lit up with their colorful lights in the evening sky, was very pretty. Many many shops along the boardwalk, including clothing, jewelry sporting goods, candy store, as well as dining venues ,and more. There was also a trolley track running thru the boardwalk. We saw a few Gators in a pit near outdoor world. The boardwalk is surely a nice wide cemented path to stroll or partake in some shopping or dining adventure.

Very clean and decorated for Christmas. Not crowded and security officers patrolling the area while we were there. Safe place with nice shops.

By Jim D |

Several outlet stores and restaurants. The area is clean felt safe for an evening stroll. The intersection of bridges, neon lights and the river make it worth visiting.

By trouthook69 |

Typical outlet mall but very few people out. Thought maybe there would be alot of Christmas decorations up but just a few. If it wasnt for a stop at Basspro it would have been a waste of time

By Jenna Ramsey |

The Boardwalk has a variety of stores which offered an excellent selection of shops. The location next to the river made it a great place to walk around at.

By Steve P |

Banked off the Red River in Bossier City, Bass Pro Shop and all the other shopping in on place, great restaurants also

By NORMA785 |

Love to walk around and check out the stores. Almost always find something even when not trying. The location is very nice.

By Rebplay |

We had fun walking around the boardwalk. Very clean, safe area. Lots of stores- Crocs, Build a Bear, chocolate crocodile (oh my gosh they dip items in chocolate right in front of you- so fresh! candy items too), Rocket Fizz (old fashioned sodas (cold and room temperature) and candies, a few comic books and things, and several other shops. Nice Bass Pro Shop (love the outside of building and old time truck is a good photo op plus live alligators to see). Several eating places, we ate Auntie Ann's pretzels for snack. Carousel and beautiful views of river. Sign read that several movies were filmed on this boardwalk (sign located near to carousel). Benches say "Louisiana boardwalk" so good photo op there too. Nice looking Regal Theater on site. Trolly on site. Clean public restrooms in more than one location. Beef jerky outlet (owner or worker rude wouldn't return!). Everyone else very friendly and helpful! We always found free parking even though it was a busy Saturday of Labor Day weekend. There's a pretty fountain area. There's a couple benches in nice green area near arcade on site. We really enjoyed! Family friendly!

By LeeH113 |

Although I did find some good deals for clothes, overall the stores were pricey. They were not the normal name brand outlet that you typically visit in an real outlet mall. There were no cut rate prices to speak of.

By TravelStars4Us |

Easy parking access from the free garage and lots of upscale outlet shops make this a nice place to visit. The Bath and Body Works here is the largest of 3 in the area and has the best selection and service, by far. Yankee Candle and Farmer's Almanac are always on my must stop list too. It's easy strolling and if you don't mind waiting for it, they have a trolley that will circle through and drop you off.

By mobettasmis |

Nice atmosphere especially when the weather is warm. Lots of shops and restaurants. Plenty of parking.

I found my wife on Plenty -of- Fish dating site online , and a week later met her for the First at The Louisiana Boardwalk. 4-21-2006 . A year later on 4-21-2007 we were married. We go there almost every weekend. This next April will be our 10 th Anniversary !! :- )

By R M |

I just love the Boardwalk. My wife and I go there for our outing to the movies. We are retired so we like to take in the Early movies. There are all types of eateries and shops to visit. Very family oriented.

By Kaitlyn M |

Lots of stores and restaurants all in a great outdoor location. We enjoyed walking the riverfront and taking in the sights. Great place to hang out with friends and shop! We took in a movie and really liked Rocket Fizz, a candy and soda shop! Will be back!

By colton11702 |

We went to Bass Pro Shops and decided to go to the board walk for a while. We passed mainly restaurants with the exception of just a few stores.

By David K |

Lots and lots of shopping. Plenty of restaurants. Very clean and well lite. A comfortable place just to walk around. It was not crowded at all. We ate at fudderuckers, checked out the shops. Great movie theater. Just a great place to hang out.

By Bill H |

A well thought out central attraction. Nice shops and a nice walk. Looks like new, very well maintained and quiet. A prime location but I wish there were more food choices.

By tsth |

There's nothing there except Bass Pro Shop. So sad, because you can tell at one time this was a really neat place to go. Most of the stores are empty now, but it could have been a good thing to do.

By Mary S |

There were alot of different things on the boardwalk it was nice out & i think we stopped in every store, especially the candy store & there is a hooters which was right up my ally lol! Took some really cute pics & really liked the carousel 🎠 & the trolley! The only problem was everything was SO EXPENSIVE!

By Melandmike2000 |

Beautiful location for shopping ...the reason for 4 stars is lots of empty building...did feel very safe though.

By Mark062017 |

We really appreciate the boardwalk. It is a nice, safe, clean atmosphere. There’s something for everyone from Bass Pro to clothes and food. The movie theater is nice and clean.

Spent the day with my college aged son before the family trip he was gonna miss. Had snacks and great meal, shopped all kinds of stuff including dress watches and retro snacks and decorative Nick knacks. Special attention was called for at the jerky store and met people for all around the country. Good day!

By melwashere81 |

Came to Bossier City for my boyfriends 50th birthday. It looks like the Boardwalk used to be a lot nicer than it is now which is sad. Many shops have closed down and I was told by a local that it's not a safe place to walk around at night. We did for a bit and felt perfectly safe but its a shame because it could be so much more than what it is. There are quite a few shops still open though so it's definitely worth a stop. I would love to visit again...maybe next time they will have more shops open.

By sumanuta |

This was one of the places recommended to see on our visit to Shreveport. It is an outdoor outlet shopping mall with various stores and restaurants. It is neat, organized and nicely maintained. There is also a carousel that my kids enjoyed. A good place to visit although it felt a little deserted (Tuesday afternoon is probably not a busy time).

By Barbara D |

Lots of neat shops to visit, lots of good food choices, games, peaceful walk by th river, friendly faces, close to many other attractions, always go when in town

By WWC |

It was a hustle and bustle outlet area now it's Casper. It is hauntingly empty devoid of many stores and food areas. The energy is sucked out. I found a few stores open but nothing to excite the senses. An infusion of businesses is desperately needed. A few distant food emporiums are left many are gone. Probably need to call to find if they are open.

By Kla2422 |

This is always a great place to go shopping. They have a nice variety of stores and usually the sales are great! There are several options for eating....from pancakes to sushi. The movie theater is nice as well. Parking is good as long as it's in the parking garage. Parking at Bass Pro can be a nightmare at times!

By Nicole W |

You can go to the Boardwalk to shop, eat, just to look around or catch a movie. I have taken my client's here and they love it.

By Lrushing82 |

Great little place to shop and eat. We found a candy shop that was delicious and bad pro they have something for everyone.

By laurenandjackson |

Went walking around the Boardwalk and the area is cute and maintained well. There were not many patrons walking/shopping this day but may have been because it was 105 degrees that day! There were some unique shops that were fun to shop
in because those stores are not available in southeast Louisiana.

By Tluckrog |

My family and I recently visited the La. Boardwalk. The weather was wonderful. We walked from shop to shop with my three children ages 10, 5, and 1. It was a pleasant time with a wonderful view of the river.

By Xavier L |

Loved the boardwalk visit. Loved going to the nike outlet. Several stores and food places on this boardwalk. Very convenient.

By Candace S |

Lots of great shops, maps located throughout to help navigate. Walkways, fountains, music playing. Ice cream shop, chocolate store, lots of restaurants Best candy store you can find too! The kids enjoyed themselves.

By ksmith522017 |

A nice area to stroll along the water and enjoy all the little shops and restaurants. Casinos close by.

By DBrown |

When I think of a boardwalk I think of shops and restaurants lining up facing the water. This boardwalk was facing back end of shops. We were the only ones walking it. Could be utilized much better. Has potential.

By SenoritaBlackBarbie |

I really enjoyed this place. Lots of sales, different outlets and there's definitely something for everyone (kids as well as adults). There's shopping, there's restaurants and there's even a movie theater. There's a train that can take you up and down the outlets. Everyone there seemed friendly and outgoing. I would definitely recommend anyone visiting to go there and walk around and shop. And it's nice and clean. Definitely 2 thumbs up!!!

By thenaturalmedic |

When the place first opened, there were many stores with a high value of goods. Now my favorites have closed in favor of the more popular expensive brands. It's a nice concept but fails to follow through.

By TTB8 |

We walked around here when coming into town. We enjoyed the view and looked in a couple of stores. It was ok for a boardwalk, but nothing compared to the one in Gonzalez. I'd probably come back

By Laura K M |

Great fun. Plenty of great restaurants and great shopping. Wonderful place with kids. They have a carousel too. And best of all very easy parking and a trolley to take you around.

By Evelyn W |

I went to see if I could find a few gifts to bring back to my family and found that ALL the stores were the exact same stores you could find in any mall in suburban Chicago. The only thing special about this mall is that it is on the red river surrounded by Casinos. I will recommend buying beef jerky at the beef jerky outlet by IHOP or eating at Joe's Crab Shack across from Bass Pro Shop

By PuertoRicoRick |

The Boardwalk of stores was more extensive than we expected. There is a good variety of stores, restaurants and the cinema. Nice clean area, relaxing atmosphere, but ugly river (brownish red). The boardwalk runs from Margueritaville Hotel to the Marriott. The Horseshoe is on the other side of the Marriott but you can't get to it without walking around (worth the walk though...we were impressed with the Horseshoe's Casino.

By Jason |

I visit here fairly regularly! I mainly shop at the Bass Pro shop, but I go to other places from time to time. There is a good beef jerky store on the outer side. I also like the kitchen supply store. Most of the restaurants are pretty good!

By pwrebels1 |

It was nice to be right around the corner from our hotel & not have to travel far. We didn't go all around the boardwalk but we stayed at the Bass pro shop for a while but the boardwalk was nice & lots of stores to shop in all in that area & it was a clean & pretty area.

By Scott C |

We have been to a lot of outlet malls and many of them are very spread out. However, while this one has a lot of stores to choose from, they are relatively compact, so one could feasibly visit every store in a matter of a few hours instead of all day. The environment felt very safe and secluded from the rest of the city and it is in very close proximity to the hotels and casinos making it an ideal get away when the slots seem to go quiet in the afternoon!

By vacationrooms |

This is a pretty neat place. We had a two year old with us and he enjoyed the trolley, carousel and amusement area. We did a little shopping but mainly enjoyed walking and window shopping. Good way to spend time and get a little exercise.

By aprilcH4786HK |

If you've ever been to San Marcos, you will not be impressed by the outlet mall shopping on this Boardwalk. It does have music, trolley rides, vendors, and shopping. The area we were in was nice and clean. Several restaurants to choose froom and great areas to take pictures of the scenic Red River. Lots of gambling nearby amd a movie theatre and candy shop for the younger ones.

By texascouple25 |

We’ve been to the boardwalk several years ago when it was a booming place. This time there weren’t as many stores to shop at. I hope it builds back up. Keep trying!

By 830lanal |

Great area to spend time. We were unaware of the area, stopped at Margaritaville and found the boardwalk was connected to it. You could walk along the boardwalk to enjoy some fresh air, visit the many shops and restaurants, or take in a movie. We ended up staying at the Courtyard by Marriott that is also there. The area is clean and well lit, we felt safe and comfortable even late in the evening.

By Yvette D |

It is an attractive shopping area along the water and near casinos. There are a few restaurants. Pretty area. Unless you are shopping there isn't much to do there. And it's hot!

By Michele D |

This is an outdoor shopping area, if it's too hot outside it is not enjoyable. Location has seen many stores come and go due to lack of business. It is not an outlet so don't expect outlet prices. Last time I went to the boardwalk there were a lot of empty stores, including any that interested me in the past. There are some restaurants, but they have also suffered from lack of business. I used to enjoy Cheesecake Bistro, but last visit I was surprised to see how lack of business really showed in service and cleanliness.

By Hola624 |

Family friendly and beautiful place to walk and shop. Very nice and clean. I highly recommend you walk down by the river fun way to look at Shreveport, the Red River, and just get away from the noise and crowds shopping on the Boardwalk. There are a large variety of shops, restaurants, a carousel, a huge fountain, a movie theater and a hotel. There are also casino hotels nearby. This was a day trip for us. I highly recommend you visit if you're in the area.

By belindakayc |

This is the cleanest shopping center in Our area. Love that you see security throughout the area. Lots of shops to choose from and really good restaurants. Great place to take children to walk around and have fun. They have cover and non covered parking.

By John M |

The Louisiana Boardwalk has a myriad of stores and restaurants for almost every taste. It is built right on the Red River and walking along the river is a treat - but not when the water's low; which isn't very often. Many restaurants have river views and most are family friendly. The weekends feature a carousel and a street car most of the time. If you're going especially for these attractions, call first. The stores feature everything in the clothing line and there are several stores for kitchen goods. It is well patrolled by law enforcement and I cannot remember a negative incident happening. Very family friendly and a nice diversion. Parking is plentiful and free.

By Joy T |

Great place to go.....great family fun or enjoying time with friends. They have something for everyone. There is so much to see

By Keith S |

My wife and I go here 3 - 4 times a month. We like the Regal movie theater there as well as the Chocolate Crocodile, Under Armour, Bass Pro, Levis store and more. Great place to let our grand kids run.

By BronsonBossier |

We went down to Boardwalk to shop and noticed it full and even hard to find parking spot near Bass Pro on the 2nd amendment holiday,
But there was a speedboat race on the river that we enjoyed very much. It was a lot of fun.

By mattman1428 |

The Boardwalk used to be a "can't miss" stop when you traveled to the Shreveport-Bossier area, but has really begun to fall off. There are still some interesting places to shop, like Bass Pro, Pop Fizz, Perfumania, and the Chocolate Crocodile, but many unique places have closed shop and left, like the Almanac Store. Most of the stores left you can find in any mall. It still has the charm of the bus/trolley and being able to look out over the river, but seems to have more and more empty store fronts every visit. This is a good place to take a date if you just want to walk and talk in a safe environment, catch a movie, and get a little something to eat. If you are wanting to shop, bypass the Boardwalk and just head to Youree Drive.

By mominokc |

While staying at the Margaritaville Resort we enjoyed walking over and shopping. This is a nice, clean shopping area with various types of stores and restaurants.

By kymbau |

When Bossier opened the Boardwalk I had great expectations. Since opening many places have closed down and nothing is going in its place. Parking is not the best and on rainy days you pretty much can't or don't want to go. The only reason I seem to visit the Boardwalk these days is to go to the movie theater.

By BSJ3258 |

Stopped by while we were in the area. Was there when it was not time to eat. We left the area but will be back to hit one of the many restaurants when we return. Very neat area to walk in with the many views.

By WendyJak9 |

This was listed as the largest outlet mall in Louisiana and we were ready to shop. There are a few good stores but it's super spread out and not easy to access. Make sure to go to Joes Crab Shack for dinner.

By Elaine N |

This is Shopping village. It is safe and tons of stores. They have a trolley that goes down the middle, a very large parking garage. Wonderful place to shop, eat and even to take the kids.

By Alan R |

Good place to shop or grab a snack. There no restaurants that serves quality food. Security is present which is good. Nice walk way along river. It is gun free zone which has it pro and cons.

By Matt2129 |

Great stores, fun food items, and an easy walk. This place is relaxing and it had great deals in the outlet stores. The Bass Pro Shop is incredible.

By Kimplatinum |

Nice views of the river. Great shopping. Nike, Kay's Jewelry Outlet, under armour, and plenty places for snacking or dining in. Will return

By Sarah S |

The Boardwalk is a nice place to visit for some light outdoor shopping and decent dining. There's a little something for everyone here.

By Meg-n-josh |

When we moved to the area, this was one of the first places we explored. It is very clean. I have always felt safe. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, or just go for a nice stroll along the river. There is a carousel, movie theater, and arcade. Our favorite is to go the weekend after Thanksgiving when they do a tree lighting ceremony. The fireworks display is one of the best I have seen. Also, there are some unique shops everyone can enjoy. (check out rocket fizz).

By AnnaHuckaby |

I had a great time shopping and dining at the Boardwalk. It was so clean! Everyone was very kind. There is also a movie theater onsite.

By shernandez318 |

Great place for kids to have fun at. Shopping is awesome. As far as leisurely activities for the ladies go to Margaritaville. Destiny Day Spa is not where to you to go. Avoid at all cost. This place is a racist, discrimination, terrible service, and dirty. The owner was so rude to me. Avoid Avoid Avoid!!!

As far as the. Boardwalk.. love it.

By Alejandro Tami |

It has almost every type of stores, clean and beautiful place to unwind, nice views, benches to seat on everywhere and a very convenient IMAX theater... They could change/remove those cars that are in exposition, because there're starting to look bad (rusted break discs, important scratches, etc)

By ElsieJames T |

A great outdoor "mall" like atmosphere. Lots of national brand shops as well as some unique places. A nice variety of food places as well.

By Sal1234 |

We stopped and had A turkey wrap and a chicken wrap. and for dessert we had the caramel cream cheese cake and champagne. Everything was very good, service and price was also very good- recommend highly.

By Regina S |

Always enjoy the boardwalk. Great way to spend the weekend. There is a store for everyone and plenty of places to rest alone the way. Close to the casinos and hotels

By nataliea915 |

the boardwalk is next to the horseshoe casino, on the river. besides all the shopping you need; on the back side there is a beautiful walk beside the river. i love the kitchen store and there are a ton of shoe stores. when i take my grandson; we go to the build a bear store and we always get hungry. we usually go to hooters and it is good food and a friendly atmosphere. you can also catch a movie, all in walking distance, but there is a cool free trolly that goes through the area.

By Tarey T |

This was our second visit to the boardwalk in the past couple of years. As with most shopping areas, it was disappointing to see so many empty shops. The fountain area is still fun to watch and they had speed boat racing on the river nearby on the day we shopped.

By cjcr1107 |

I love the walk by the river and music while watching the boats go by. There are fine dinning and shopping of all kinds.

By Markeshia G |

After flying in for business i stopped here to pass the time. Very scenic with decent shops. Just your typical outlet shopping mall with a regal theater.

By janetc783 |

I went to the Louisiana Boardwalk to go to the theater there to see Just Mercy, it was about 3:50pm on a Saturday although it was cold. There were very few people, but I can only speculate that it is because of the Bridge construction going on there.

By sawats0n1957 |

IHOP was wonderful very prompt and kind waitress. Great management also 🌹

The shoe shopping turned out great. I got the cutes pair of Bobs w puppies on them and a portion of the cost went to spca then my husband got his shoes half off. Great deal. Good time. Nice river walk. Love Bossier

By Girish D |

The only place at Shreveport to spend time with friends, all upmarket shops but limited choice, broadwalk is nice place, designed elegantly, not so crowded, we went on Sunday & no issues with parking.

By Pam C |

Great place to shop or just to walk around. Even has a trolley that goes down the center. Located at one end is a merry-go-round.

By LALady21 |

The LA Boardwalk is a great place for family or couples dining. They offer a soft, trendy music selection on the Boardwalk, GREAT views of the river, several fun dining spots, Bass Pro, hotels AND a trolley to take you from one spot to the other. Did I mention the shopping??? Awesome!

By imran |

Hey.
Highly recommend place to visit, visited with family for shopping and walk around. Lovely architecture with picturesque beauty. 👏👍

By Laura Klinghgaen |

The boardwalk was very nicely landscaped. We were able to get some beautiful pictures by the river. The shops were very nice, but also very expensive. If you are coming here to shop make sure you bring a hearty pocketbook. Make sure you visit the soda and candy store. It had so many vintage candy and soda items to choose from. A variety of different shops, restaurants, and even a movie theater.

By Gabrielle H |

Stayed at the Horseshoe and spent a day at the boardwalk. It was a Thursday so it wasn't very crowded. Wandered around, shopped a bit, and spent a bit being kids at the arcade. It was hot but very enjoyable. Definitely a good place for a date, family day, or just meet up with friends.

By Rwade2015 |

Enjoyed the walk along the river and some
Shopping. Great sales but so many stores are closing. Wish they would bring more stores back. Love the area.

By David W |

A nice selection of shops, restaurants, movie theater and short walk to a couple of casinos. Lots of parking in the Boardwalk parking garage or the casinos, all free. Bass Pro shop is a major anchor store with the usual clothing, kitchen, snack food type of stores. Right on the banks of the Red River.

By grace virlouvet |

We came here for an overnight stop in Luisiana road trip. A nice place to shop and dine. Well organized shopping center with plenty of room to roam around with kids. We arrived on the thanksgiving weekend and there was fireworks display at night. Already decorated with Christmas decors on thanksgiving which added some cheer to our Christmas shopping.

By Beauchicken |

We walked around to kill the time. Black Friday. Crowds were crazy. Didn't see many deals and didn't see many shops that were interesting. Nice location.

By Amber H |

My husband and I spent the weekend in Bossier City for my birthday. I love outlet malls, and The Boardwalk was very nice. It’s lay out was easy the navigate, and it offers a variety of shops and restaurants as well as a movie theater. I will definitely make a trip back soon for another shopping trip.

By Granandgramplike2go |

We enjoyed the quaint outdoor shopping mall! Very beautiful area. Not overly crowded and very safe feeling. Plenty of shops to choose from and a good variety. Bass Pro Shop a main attraction. The trolley runs through one of the mall streets and gives the area a nostalgic feel. Nice restaurants to find good food, also. Would be a nice place for any type of shopping excursion.

By shhparents |

It was a little crazy but we were staying at Margaritaville so parking was easy. Talk about the last minute deals. It was amazing all the money we saved. Place was packed but we always visit when we head to the SBC area.

By carlamN1774XC |

Had a great time walking around the boardwalk . Lots of shops and places to eat. If you are interested in gambling then there is Margaritaville , My husband i didn't win anything, but overall it was nice trip to just hang out.

By JWAdams |

I shopped around Christmas time, so of course I found great sales. I liked the music playing in the background. Best deals found at Lane Bryant & a store called quilts and more.

By Jason |

This is a nice place with a movie theater and several places to get food. Since the pandemic, however, the crowds have been low. Some of the big-name businesses have since closed.

By tomthbomb |

We have been shopping and dining at the Louisiana Boardwalk for 12 plus years. This was our first time back in almost a year. Some things have changed since the casino moved in on the other side of the Bass Pro Shop.

Two of my favorite restaurants have moved out, the Irish Pub and Buffalo Wild Wings...gone. It's not the same without them. Both had good food and lots of BIG screen tvs for watching the game will the better half shopped.

It will be a while before we make the one hour plus trip back.

By cynthiahL1575ML |

Boardwalk is a great out door shopping and dining outing. They have shops, dining, movie theater and trolley and carousel. I love walking looking out at the river and across the river. My grand daughter loves the carousel and build a bear. Haha.

By BayouRat |

The board walk is a clean place to visit and it has a BASS PRO shop! I’d highly recommend visiting it.

By floras495 |

nice stores and good prices on clothes or beauty supplies, also restaurants are good food if the weather ok is a good time to hang out l

By alajones2 |

This is a great place for a family day outing. The stores are fun and the atmosphere is nice.
The walk along the river front has stunning sunset views.

By CFEIII |

Really nice place to go shop, lots of discount stores and plenty to look at. We wanted to buy baby clothes, top water fishing lures, have a bite to eat, and not drive all over the city. One stop here was adequate for Joe's Crab Shack, Bass Pro Shop, Osh'kosh b'gosh. Today was a corvette show and contest, about 50 or so vetted from the mid 50s to the last couple years. Really cool!

By Susan F |

We like to go to the boardwalk whenever we visit here. My husband was able to find some great shorts at a great price. He now wishes he had bought more.

By Compass03151816180 |

The Louisiana boardwalk is a family friendly get away with something for everyone. Bass pro shops for me and my son the outdoorsmen. Shoes shops and clothing for my wife and daughter the fashionista. The Louisiana boardwalk was clean and very user friendly there is even a trolly if walking is not your thing. When your build up your appetite from all the shopping there are plenty of restaurants to satisfy all from sandwiches to seafood and steaks. A very enjoyable day for the family.

By Daniel K |

We went here twice in 2 days, bought tackle at Bass Pro, Leather goods at Wilson’s Leather, lunch at Saltgrass, Coke’s from vending machines located all along the boardwalk, shoes at sketchers and rack room, as well as other items at the many stores along the 2-3 block long Boardwalk. Very enjoyable, not too crowded on Sunday and Monday in February

By Panthermom |

The Boardwalk is a great place to go with the entire family. It has a movie theater, lots of restaurants, great stores, a carousel and beautiful views of the river.

By Schmedthorstfarms |

We love the Louisiana Boardwalk when we go to Bossier. So many shops and eateries. I always find something interesting to bring home for my best friend. It has always been nice and clean. Plenty of sitting places just to sit and people watch.

By Shakenbake52 |

We love the boardwalk so that is where we met for my daughters Birthday. We walked around and took pictures at the fountains and at the riverside and then ate at Saltgrass. Love the board walk

By 19Clay55 |

The Louisiana Boardwalk is jammed.Selection of eateries to suit anSpacked with every kind of shopping experience one could desire, along with a wide selection of eateries to satisfy any appetite you develop while shopping.
I will have to admit, I'm a sportsman and what respectable southern sportsman does not go to Bass Pro Shops, given ample opportunity. BOPS is truly my home away from home. You can't miss...fishing baits, hunting gear, clothing....what more could you ask for? Ok, I know, the BOPS brand of porkskins.

By Minneapolis_Josh |

I was driving from Dallas to Jackson Mississippi and needed to stop somewhere to get a rain jacket. This was halfway. Glad I stopped. Bass pro shops was huge, probably the largest one I’ve ever been in. Absolutely everything to choose from. They had my rain jacket on sale for $27 which was nice also. Glad I stopped

The Boardwalk is located directly on the Red River and provides a nice relaxing shopping experience. It is a great place to shop especially during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. For great deals I recommend shopping the Black Friday deals that start at midnight on Thanksgiving day. There is a good variety of shops and a movie theater! Hooters and Joe's Crab shack provide a variety of food for a nice dining experience. And if you like casinos the Margaritaville casino is right next door to the Bass Pro shop! We go to the Boardwalk every time we visit the Shreveport / Bossier City area and highly recommend it.

Such an amazing place! Wonderful shops, nice parking garage, security, trolleys, wonderful! River view is amazing. Lots of stores, restaurants, shops, entertainment.

A nice place to stroll on river bank and spend evening during spring and fall time, Numerous mid to high end outlet stores for browsing and shopping. Ice cream shop is a plus, especially during hot weather and cinema on the premise is great to shelter from hot Louisiana weather or to catch on some ZZZZs. Several eateries for family fun and eat-out activities. Free covered parking is great and no long walk from parking wither. Several activities for small kids as well. Overall a good place to hang-out and spend some quality time.

This is a perfect stop for a road trip. Plenty of food, shopping, and things to look at. Kids love the Arcade, Rocket Fizz, and of course Bass Pro.

By ANITA F |

The Louisiana offers a wide variety of shopping stores, food chains, specialty stores, movie theaters and gaming rooms. If you looking to try the 'North Louisiana' experience, this definitely your spot. Regal theater is a great place to catch the latest flick, play in the arcade lounge, and hop right out into the unpredictable Louisiana weather to grab a bit or two to eat at Copeland's Cheesecake Bistro. Bring your appetite and be prepared to savor all things that define Louisiana cuisine.

The Bass Pro shop is not to be missed. Though you may think it's just for anglers here in Sportsman's Paradise, it offers that and so much more. If you're looking to take away a few souvenirs of your trip to The Boot, this is your place to go.

The Boardwalk bustles with entertainment for nearly every holiday of the year. Mardi Gras season is prime time to shop during the day and go bead-catching at the parades at night.

Though some complain the the Louisiana Boardwalk is small scale compared to larger cities, just keep in mind the the so are the prices and crowds! Ample parking, handicap accessible, and oozing with southern comfort, that's our Louisiana Boardwalk.

We really like The Louisiana Boardwalk ! The first reason is that the Coprland's Cheesecake Bistro is located there. It is one of our very favorite restaurants. The Bass Pro Shop is there. Regal Louisiana Boardwalk Stadium 14 & Imax is another really good reason to visit. Many retail shops and good restaurants are located there. It is also very nice to walk along the river overlooking downtown Shreveport. Two thumbs up !

This is one of my favorite places to visit in Bossier City, and I do love it, butttt I believe the boardwalk should update some of their stores. A few of the clothing stores to me are not a popular demand and tend to stay dead most of the time. Overall its very scenic, beautiful and a relaxing place to walk and eat and visit some of the shops.

By Anne B |

This is an outlet place to shop, everything is accessible from the outside, not indoor mall. Many different stores but few offer coffee? Did some shopping there. Conveniently located between Horseshoe and Margaritaville, a nice walk to get there unless it's cold, then drive to it.

By Tracie J |

I am a resident of Bossier City, but sadly I do not visit the Boardwalk very often. While they are the host of awesome events (4th of July, Holiday Parade), the shops are lacking. I wish they would rethink the concept to include more high end outlets and include more popular choices. While I love Bath and Body Works, Bass Pro, and the Justice Outlet, the addition of a Kate Spade or Tory Burch outlet would be amazing! If you are from out of town, it is a worthwhile trip. For locals, you will find better deals by hitting sales at the stores on Youree in Shreveport or Airline Drive in Bossier.

We went on a beautifully sunny day. Even though it was a little chilly. The people were polite and helpful, with lots of choices of shopping places.
We had lunch at Saltgrass at the bar with really good wedge salads and an appetizer. Had a good time.
We have been here many times and will be going back for just a relaxing day of wondering and shopping.

By Brien D |

The beautiful scenery attracts my family every time we travel to Bossier, LA.

My family and I love the fish tanks and the wood work in the store.

By Stuart L |

The boardwalk is fun. Great place to walk around. Good views of the Red River. Restaurants Galore. We ate at Fuddruckers. There's Joe's Crab Shack, a cheesecake place that served a slice of Cheesecake and two glasses of champagne for $9.99. There's an IMAX movie theater. A huge Bass Pro Shop three levels.

By Cathy C |

Great food, theatre and shopping. Varieties of food to eat. Great shopping. Theatre is nice with 14 different shows.

By Kevo W |

This place nice and secure. It is a great place to shop. There is different outlet stores and also a movie theater.

By Denise C |

So great. They have just about everything you need here all with a great view. You can watch a movie, shop and have a meal

By Elizabeth H |

We had dinner and a movie here and it was nice, although a little quieter (and less busy) than I would have expected.

By Scott |

We heard rumors it is not safe here - nonsense! It looks like any other tourist location, with security always visible. Stores were largely clothing and there was not a lot of restaraunts (4? including IHOP).

By anng86 |

Very nice place to leisurely browse the variety of stores on the boardwalk. Oh so pedestrian friendly! The sales clerks in the stores are also very friendly and very helpful. Purchases made in the Nike Store and the Levis Store. I will return to this shopping area again and again.

We are staying at the hotel at the Boardwalk so we can enjoy it the most. Beautiful and sunny days. You can just sit in the benches and listen to music for hours and chill. Get a drink from somewhere and it’s even better.

Bunches of stores, movie theater, ice cream parlors, burger joints, steakhouses, Hooters, Joes Crab-shack and so many brand names stores for clothes and stuff.

It’s loaded in fun, even a carousel for little ones. You can spend hours at the Bass Pro Shop too. And just in case you like to donate your hard earned money to the casino, there a bunches of them across the river.

This is a must visit place with families, romantic getaways and whatever

By Christina D |

Great restaurants, and stores to shop at. You can play at the arcade and see a movie, and it's always nice to walk along the red river, it's a great view of Shreveport downtown right across from the Boardwalk. To add to all of that, after you are done with your shopping, dinner, and movie, you can head over to the casino as well! The possibility of things to do on the boardwalk are endless.

By Walter Washington |

If you've been to one outlet mall, then you've basically been to them all, and this one was no exception; however, it is near the river and has a great feel to it, but other than that, nothing above average. It is just simply average.

By Kathy L |

Shopping or eating at the Louisiana Boardwalk is a very nice experience. The selection of stores to shop at is great. The variety of eateries will satisfy a hungry appetite!

By AirRika |

Considering the city, the broad walk brings a comfortable shopping atmosphere...pleasing to the eye as you walk through the Main Street of shops. It reminds me of the Los Angeles farmers market in California. My only criticism is to have some more quality stores to draw money making attention; not a uniform store. I was not sure if this was meant to be regular stores or an outlet? Also, the broadwalk is easily accessible to the handful of casinos and I thought it was great to have a hotel nested on the edge of the shops...it's like a shoppers dream to wake up to stores and restaurants. Enjoy your stay, but you may get board after the first trip!

By @helms12 |

Outdoor world is especially a nice place to take children. There are live alligators and a fish tank for them to see. men never get tired of looking at all the hunting and fishing displays. The mall is a safe place to view Red River.

By Steve J |

This boardwalk is a nice area between the Margaritaville and Horseshoe casino. The weather was very warm, but there are plenty of shops that you can duck into to escape the heat.

By Denise D |

We were in town 1 night and wanted to experience as much of the local area as possible. We found it outside our casino hotel along the well maintained boardwalk and within a few blocks of the river. Local history can be found nestled among a variety of small and larger shops and eateries. But if you just need to walk off your buffet breakfast (or dinner), an early morning stroll along the Red River is especially inviting.

By thegibsons79 |

The Boardwalk is so nice & clean ! There is every shop you'd want to browse in and get great finds. After walking & looking you may want to slip into one of the eateries and take a break. I loved the kitchen gadgets in one place and so many nice clothing stores. Make sure you're dressed comfy & wear walking shoes cause there's lots to see & you have to walk to shop. The guys will love Bass Pro also. Each different shop is my favorite. Any time you're in the vacinity I know you'd really enjoy touring & shopping the Boardwalk.

By G M |

Nice when the weather is good. Large bass pro shop. When the weather is warm enough they have alligators. Near holiday times bps will have activities for kids. Lots of other shops, Rocket Fizz is the kiddos favorite, large variety of sodas and candies, fun to read all signs. Joes crab shack, Hooters, buffalo wild wings and salt grass are some places to eat. A variety of stores like Yankee candle, bath and body works, wilsons, Nike, sketchers, justice, regal movie theater. Also a trolley to ride, which helps if you are tired of walking! So many great places to shop. There is a nice water fountain to stop and throw coins in and make a wish!

By Tony M |

Great little open air shopping center right on the red River in Bossier city. It has it all, restaurants, bars, shopping, hunting, boating, and movies. The people are friendly, the place is not exspensive and its very safe, even late at night

By Lisa W |

This place was pretty interesting in general, and at first I thought the lack of people was due to the heavy rain, but then I realized most of the stores were vacant anyway. It's pretty sad because the place has tons of potential. The views of the other side of the river are beautiful.

By Pat G |

Its not at all what is used to be. The trolly train is gone and it really added to the atmosphere. Dress standards are overlooked. It originally started as a nice family place, with (sorry to say) an "appropriate dress code" for those that just don't know better. It has become just an outdoor mall for parents to dump their spoiled brat, unsupervised kids off for the day. Stores come and go due to lack of business, not to mention the huge rental fees for space. Several places to eat, but the service is on par with McDonalds, but that seems to be the case throughout society now. I see this place headed for deep trouble in the near future.

By Jade_Mont15 |

Great place to hang out with the family. The shopping malls are affordable, and they having a variety of stores. There are also great food places such as Cheesecake Factory, Ihop, and Saltgrass Steak House to name a few. You can also enjoy views of the Red River, and a casino is located near by. Overall great experience for travelers.

By notron11 |

Went specifically to eat at salt grass steak house. Food was great. So was the atmosphere. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Will be back again

By EASTTEXAN111 |

While staying at Margaritaville a couple of nights I met up with a friend and we decided to checkout the Boardwalk. Very pleasant evening for a walk. Boardwalk is very well lit but not to bright for a nice romantic atmosphere. Several places to sit for casual conversion. Lots of little shops to check out and some popular restaurants as well. Bass Pro Shop is there also which is always cool. Nice little place to spend some time with your favorite person.

By Rachel O |

This place is fine- disappointing that they don't have much for "non_chain" shopping or dining. But it has some nice landscaping along the river.

By Iz Pup |

I like to come to the Boardwalk often because there are many stores and the movie theather is great. And Island Fun is great for chlidern. I love to go to Rocket Fizz because it is just random items that you can't find at any other store. Island fun is a fun arcade for kids. I would recommend to come because there is so many stores.

By Jerome M |

We went down on the boardwalk on a sunny afternoon. The walk was pleasant by the water. Looking out across the water was very tranquil. There are a number of stores that can be visited or shopped. There are a lot of restaurants that fits everyone's needs. There is a large movie theater on the site. Parking was free. You can walk around or just sit and watch the people, either way you will have fun.

By KendraTravels |

The Louisiana Boardwalk is a great place to spend the day. There's plenty of food and shopping and the parking is great. The stores are outlet stores and the pricing is great. They have a great Banana Republic there! I'll go back just for the stroll.

By 486marianp |

Lots of great stores and restaurants to visit. Beautiful view of the river. We ate lunch at hooters and it was great. Visited bass pro shop store too. Parking was good and they have shuttles.

By nactraveler |

This area is mostly uninhabited shops. The area appears to have had no maintenance for quite some time. Escalator in the parking garage doesn't work. The ornamental fountain doesn't work. There are paltry few businesses open. Don't waste your time. The pic I am posting is of the fountain.

By Scott P |

Our first time in Shreveport, we stumbled across the boardwalk while searching for cheesecake (Copeland's).

It was a beautiful day for a nice walk. We also found some good deals on newborn outfits for our new grandchild!

By Loouis S |

Nice place to visit. Large selection of shops and places to eat. The highlight is the Bass Pro shop to say the least.

By rebeccabrabb |

We used to shop on the boardwalk when the children were younger because of so many children shops. Still a nice place to stop especially on a beautiful day like today

By Shannon S |

Loved The Bass Pro Shop. Needs more outlet shops. Went to Under Armour and Bath and Body Works too. Enjoyed just walking around but wanted more shopping

By April J |

Love shopping here every time I come here great place and friendly enjoy the all star place and many other stores that are there

By Lamona F |

Very beautiful very clean had an amazing time the stores were very clean and I loved my favorite was the candy store😁😁😁😁😁

By hamptonarkansas |

Me and my wife loved it. We really liked how close the store's were. It also has restaurants ,and vending machines along the route. We plan on going back very soon.

By Esquivel02 |

Other than the alligators in the front there is nothing else to see. We have been to many Bass Pro Shops and this was a very dirty place. Other Bass Pro Shops we have visited we are always welcomed at the door by staff. There was no one at the door or a friendly face in sight. Staff was just there talking amongst themselves and not attending to customers they way they should have.

By Joni D |

We found cute baby clothes, jewelry, kitchen wares, and Yankee Candle! The day was cold but sunny and we had a great time taking in all the stores and looking at the bargains.

We will be back.

By 267lucyf |

This is a great place to walk and shop without having to actually leave the area if you are staying at Horseshoe or Margaritaville. My family and I love going there because it gives everyone something to do.You are able to get out and enjoy the shops, movie theater, kid games and just a host of other things.

By Karen W |

Lots of stores and eateries. It’s very clean and well patrolled by security. A great family atmosphere.

By Emily C |

Very nice place. Well maintained. They have a great variety of stores and restaurants. They have great places to view the Red River and a carousel for the kids to ride.

By chris s |

This place is right on the river, but you don't see the water from most parts of this shopping center. There were not a whole lot of places that i wanted to visit, but we stopped in a few. The boardwalk is on the back end of the shopping center. It is a tourist trap. There are numerous chain restaurants at this location.

By sherri g |

Close to our hotel and casino. I needed a dress to wear to a concert and found the perfect thing to wear. The carousel is a huge plus if you have kiddos with you. The views of the river and bridge at night is pretty wonderful!

By Lisa B |

Loved the Boardwalk, the lights, the fountains.. So many different shops. Many different places to eat. Great atmosphere.

By vanessa |

This is my second trip to the boardwalk. I love that there is an arcade with plenty of games to keep the little ones busy. A carousel and trolly to act as a shuttle to and from parking garage. Prices are reasonable and coupons can be used for specific retailers. Its very peaceful and slow paced. I did some shopping here on christmas eve and did not have to contend with lines.

By Rhonda H |

We went to Bossier City and found the Boardwalk. Very nice place to shop, eat, visit and walk around. Very clean and friendly area! Enjoyed the shops and the food!

By Yolanda G |

Shop !!! Shopping and restaurants and mainly Bass pro shop , all in one location on the boardwalk .. You can't beat that !!!

By Catherine D |

First of all, it has a beautiful view of the river and is a wonderful place to just walk around.
We went on a weekday in April and hardly anyone was there. The piped music was playing as we walked around but there were only a couple of people walking in the area. It felt kind of like a horror movie! Sorry, I digress.
The area is amazing and has so many different types of shops. We went to several and the staff seemed appreciative that we were there. ;) I would imagine it's extremely busy on weekends and in the summer. We plan to go back next month and will definitely visit there again. It's very modern and clean and a great place to either shop or just walk around and people watch!

By Karen W |

We go the the boardwalk sometimes just to walk around and enjoy the atmosphere. It is well landscaped and welcoming. They have a good variety of stores and several good restaurants.

By Cush Y |

Good shopping. Nice deals in Black Friday. I normally don't go shopping especially with my wife but this was a nice experience. I had a bad experience at the Copeland Cheesecake restaurant but other than that we had a great time.

By Josie H |

Came to bossier city and stayed in Horseshoe casino and sister with her 10 year old stayed in the residence inn. This spot was excellent to watch July 4 fireworks and lots of great shops and bargains. So glad I came and ventured this way. I'd come back!

The boardwalk is great for families, friends or anyone that loves to shop or eat. They have a little bit of everything from shopping, dinning, Cinema & a trolley. The Bass Pro shop is amazing with all the animals & fish. Anything in there for the great outdoor lovers. Great place to find a little something to do with lots of choices.

Excellent shopping, great deals, and great view of the river. It is kind of a one stop shop for dining and shopping. Don't miss out on this gem.

By Shelly M |

I don't like shopping but I really enjoyed the Louisiana Boardwalk. I was not overwhelmed with too many shops that were just the same thing over and over. Great variety and enjoyed the entertainment too. Lot's of good restaurants with a view of the river.

By DNfrom601342 |

This was location of the Independence Bowl parade. Nice outdoor mall, pretty similar to what's in most American cities. A cool feature is being directly on the river with downtown, water and bridge views.
