Today I was going to Fenjiezhou Island, which was said to be more beautiful than Wuzhizhou Island. As it turned out, the scenery was not as beautiful as Wuzhizhou Island. It was a different kind of beauty. There were ocean theater performances on the island. When buying tickets online, remember to include the ocean theater performance. The little dolphins were very cute.



It takes two hours to drive from Pullman to Boundary Island. The whole way is on the highway, and I always feel that the speed of Sanya's highway is not fast enough. Along the way, I encountered several vehicles that were moving slowly because of phone calls. Those with good physical strength can go hiking. The scenery on the top of the mountain is nice, but it is not necessary to go, because the performances at the Ocean Theater seem to be one at 1:30 and one at 3:30. We climbed to the top of the mountain to kill time and drank a coconut at the top of the mountain. It was hot, and it got hotter as we climbed the mountain. Our backs were soaked, and the sea breeze made us sticky all over.

We stayed overnight at the fishing club on Fenjiezhou Island, went to the island in the afternoon, and left the island at noon the next day. The overall feeling was very good! Especially when there were fewer people at night, we enjoyed a large beach and visited the whole island at will. It was nice to experience island leisure without participating in various entertainment activities with our family. The room price was quite reasonable, considering the savings on boat tickets and electric cars. The only thing was that there were too many mosquitoes. My son had 26 lumps on his face overnight to remind us to take anti-mosquito measures.

There is a one-day tour group for Fenjiezhou Island on a shopping platform. I signed up for that group and it was pretty good. There are snorkeling and deep diving, and a photographer takes photos. There is personal time to play water sports. In terms of blue sea and blue sky, I think Wu is the first; Fen is second; and Xi is third. The consumption level of Fenjiezhou and Xi Island is relatively low.

The waters of Fenjiezhou Island are clear and clean, and the beaches are soft and white. It is the most suitable island in Hainan for diving and watching underwater creatures. Because I decided to go to Jiajing Island in Shimei Bay to play some water sports, I only took some photos on Fenjiezhou Island. Get up early and take a bus to Lingshui. Because there are many tourists who choose to take a day trip, there will be more people during the day. Due to the huge compression of the land-building movement and the effect of the glacial period hundreds of millions of years ago, Fenjiezhou Island and Hainan Island gradually separated, becoming a beautiful isolated island floating in the South China Sea. The naturally beautiful Fenjiezhou Island has all the geomorphic features and scarce resources of a tropical primitive island. There are bright and soft sand, azure blue sea, rare marine biological resources and various special marine tourism projects.

Fenjiezhou Island is located in the southeastern sea of ​​Hainan Island, about 2.0 kilometers from the shore, and the one-way crossing by boat takes about 10 minutes. Fenjiezhou Island is an uninhabited island under the jurisdiction of Lingshui Li Autonomous County, about 60 kilometers from Sanya and about 180 kilometers from Haikou.

It is actually only more than half an hour's journey from Qingshui Bay to Fenjiezhou Island. I booked the only hotel on the island in advance, which included the island entrance ticket and boat ticket.

We arrived a little late and the houses on the cliff at the top of the mountain were gone, so we could only stay halfway up the mountain, and the view was much worse.

Since there are many tourists visiting the island during the day, I didn't go out until around four o'clock. At this time, most of the daytime tourists had gone back by boat, and only the guests staying in the hotel were left on the island, so it was much quieter.

The Boundary Island was still quiet in the morning. I went to the viewing platform on the beach to take pictures while there were few people. The waves hit the rocks, and the small splashes of water were blown by the sea breeze, almost soaking us all.

It was cloudy when we arrived at the island, so we didn't feel its beauty too strongly. But we can still feel that if it was sunny, it would be pretty good. After I climbed to the top of the mountain, I saw the scenery below the cliffs on the back mountain, which made me feel very good. In general, Fenjiezhou Island is mainly a place for entertainment, not a place for enjoying the scenery.

If you want to go at a slower pace, I suggest you go by yourself and stay near Fenjiezhou Island. Otherwise, it will be too rushed to go there with a day trip from Sanya. You will arrive at the island at about 10 o'clock and leave at 3 o'clock in the afternoon, otherwise there will be traffic jams on the way back. Fenjiezhou Island is very beautiful, and I hope it can be beautiful for a little longer. The west side of Fenjiezhou Island has been basically developed, and all the attractions are here. Of course, there is a snack street that is always the same but always bustling.

Walking from the snack street to the top of the mountain and then to the other side of the island, it felt like traveling through time. I wonder if the people crowded on the west side eating, drinking and having fun didn’t notice or were just not interested in the beautiful sea.

The sea water beats against the rocks, and the color of the shore seems comparable to the Devil's Eye on Nusa Lembongan, so I will never doubt the authenticity of the photo again.

It was a blessing from God that the weather was amazing that day. The cliffs and sea water on the east side of Fenjiezhou Island still make me feel shocked and dreamy when I think about it now.

Fenjiezhou Island is about 90 kilometers away from Sanya City, and it takes about 10 minutes to get to the island by boat from the tourist center. Fenjiezhou Island is not big, and you can visit it in two or three hours without water activities. If you have enough time, you can stay at the sea fishing club on the island for a night and feel the sound of the sea water hitting the reefs. We stayed in the sea-view villa E516 this time. The sea view is very good and you can feel the sound of the sea 24 hours a day. The rooms in Zone E are very quiet, with few tourists passing by, but it is a bit far from the Langgu Youlan Cliff Restaurant, about 2 kilometers. You can choose to walk or take a tour bus. The tour bus is free at check-in and check-out. At other times, it is 5 yuan per person per time, and the payment is settled at check-out. In addition, the semi-submarine is also very good at night. You can take a semi-submarine to watch the underwater corals, which takes about 20 minutes.

Abandon the boat and go ashore, walk to the right, and turn around the island in a counterclockwise direction. Since Fenjiezhou Island is not high or big, we chose to walk the whole way. If you are physically exhausted, you can choose to take the scenic area battery bus (charged separately). Bathing in the sea breeze blowing from the vast South China Sea, enjoy the beautiful island. Whether you turn left or right, you must pass by the commercial street with snacks, fruits, drinks, restaurants, handicrafts, etc., and the road signs along the way can be seen at any time, making the tour very simple and convenient. Fenjiezhou Island used to be an uninhabited island. The ecological environment here is very good, with mountains, rocks, trees, water, sand, reefs, etc., which is particularly suitable for playing. The east, north and south sides of the island are cliffs, strange rocks and waves like snow. There is only a small bay with calm waves on the west side, and the beach in the bay is soft and white, so it has become the only seaside bathing beach on the island. The coastal bathing beach is bustling with people. There are water recreational projects such as swimming, diving, motorboats, banana boats, etc. There are also restaurants, amusement houses, music bars, barbecue stalls, hammocks... Various facilities for enjoying fun are concentrated here, attracting many tourists to play here. The sea water here is as clear and blue as the sky, and the sunlight can penetrate into the sea more than ten meters deep without any hindrance. A little further away, the seabed has coral reefs and their colorful marine life groups that are comparable to the most beautiful gardens on earth. Therefore, it attracts many bold tourists to participate in offshore diving. Stepping into the beach from the Lover Valley is the "Hai Xin Pavilion". A cement pavement plank road with a length of no more than 200 meters and a width of no more than 10 meters extends into the sea, connecting an artificial island. Eleven coconut trees are planted on the island, and two "Hai Xin Pavilions" are built. The island is surrounded by the sea. Looking around the Hai Xin Pavilion, the sea water is blue and clear, and the corals are colorful and tempting to sink to the bottom. No wonder there are so many tourists on the birds. The lighthouse is waiting only to meet romance and happiness. Looking back at the green tree houses on the island, they are just like the tree houses where primitive people lived. The crystal clear water, the transparent blue sky and white clouds, and the lush trees create a beautiful picture. Stepping on the Boundary Island, lingering on the white beach, and falling into the gentle waves, you will feel relaxed when you are here.

There are many people fishing here, and everyone is standing on the embankment wearing red life jackets. If you look closely, there are several beautiful women swinging their rods and fishing on the embankment, looking heroic. The beach below Dadongtian is very beautiful. The sea water is so clear and blue. The beach here is formed by the weathering of granite, and the sand is whiter, with round and fine particles, which is rare in Hainan.

Fenjiezhou Island is an overlooked AAAAA-level scenic spot. Many people who come to Hainan for the first time are attracted by the overwhelming advertisements and publicity. It is located on the boundary between the subtropical and tropical regions and has distinct four seasons. It is the first national 5A-level island scenic spot in China.

We went with a tour group. After the tour guide took us off the boat, someone came to introduce the paid attractions on the island and sell them to tourists. There are diving, banana boats, skateboards, sea dragons, feeding manta rays, interacting with manta rays, dolphin shows, and a bunch of other attractions. The prices are not cheap. The sea dragon is 280 yuan per 10 minutes, which is cheaper than the 380 yuan 10 minutes of the sea dragon we participated in yesterday. There are more than 20 people in our group, and only 2 people participated. I guess for this reason, the tour guide was not interested in taking us, and let us play on the island by ourselves. There are very few free projects on the island, but there are a lot of restrictions! There is only a small area where you can swim and play in the water. The island does not even provide life jackets. Even if you want to rent them, they will not be given to you. They are all for those who pay to participate in water activities. Lifebuoys are rented for 20 yuan each, beach chairs are 20 yuan each, and showers are 15 yuan each... On the other side, you can see manta rays and many fish. They don’t even let us see them, and they don’t let us stay, and they drive us away. It’s super hateful! If we had known that it would be so troublesome to play in the water here, we would simply not carry such heavy diving equipment and clothes, and just climb the mountains on the island, see the scenery, stroll around, and take pictures! As for eating, the consumption in the scenic area will definitely be more expensive than usual. I think it’s better to eat on the island, and there is no need to bring dry food.

Fenjiezhou Island is located in the southeastern sea of ​​Hainan Island and is under the jurisdiction of Lingshui Li Autonomous County. It covers an area of ​​only 0.41 square kilometers. The island is very close to the coastline and can be reached by boat from the pier in 15 minutes. More importantly, the pier is only 18 kilometers away from the high-speed rail station. Even if you don't drive or join a group, it is very convenient to take a train. Most tourists depart from Sanya or Haikou. If you go from Haikou, Evan's suggestion is to take a train (Haikou East Station-Lingshui Station). There are many trains and it takes more than an hour to get there. There is a bus to the pier at Lingshui Station. Even if you miss it, there is no need to worry. There are online taxis and local cars at the entrance of the railway station that need to go to the pier. You can bargain and set off immediately. It is best to find someone to share a car, so that the price per person is the lowest. If you are departing from Sanya, there is no need to take a train, because the round-trip bus is very frequent. Boundary Island is located in the beautiful sea. It not only provides tourists with conventional marine tourism projects such as diving, sea fishing, and motorboat, but also provides projects for close interaction with many marine animals (dolphins, sea lions, sea turtles, whale sharks, etc.). The business hours of the Boundary Island Scenic Area are: 8:00-17:30. The time of the last boat leaving the island is: 18:00. The Boundary Island Tourist Area in Hainan is in the off-season from May 1st to September 30th, with a ticket price of 127 yuan/adult; October 1st to April 30th of the following year is the peak season, with a ticket price of 132 yuan/adult. Various water activities on the island are quite expensive, and there are also helicopter tours around the island. I bought tickets + underwater sightseeing submarines + ocean theaters on Meituan for a total of 400 yuan, which is more suitable for leisure travel and parent-child travel. If you travel in pairs or families, it is recommended to stay on the island, with a minimum of 600 to 700 yuan per room, including tickets, you can watch the sunset and sunrise, and the beach is yours after the last boat leaves after 5 pm. The hotel also has activities on the beach at night. The only hotel on the island is the fishing club.

In fact, the island is not big, and two hours is enough to walk around it, but it will take more time to participate in some activities, so if you don’t stay here, it is recommended to spend half a day. There is a beach on the west side of the island and cliffs on the east side. You can climb to the top of the mountain and overlook the sea. If you don’t want to climb the mountain, you can buy a sightseeing bus for 40 yuan, which can stop at multiple scenic spots.

It is recommended to stay in the sea-facing room, which has a good sea view. Although the guest rooms on the mountain are also good, it is not very convenient to go out. You need to wait for the scenic area battery car, and you have to pay to ride it after 17:00. The management and service of the hotel are very average, especially the facilities are relatively old.

Well worth it for a first time snorkeling experience, the kids had a blast.

If you want to touch the manta rays, it is really worth going, a very special experience. When the weather is good, the jelly sea is also very beautiful.

Boundary Island and Monkey Island are not far away, but we still split them into two days. Take a ferry from here to Boundary Island. Compared to Wuzhizhou Island, there are not many people here. At least we didn't have to queue up for the underwater walk. That's why I gave up the ten-minute drive to Wuzhizhou and drove forty minutes to get here.

Take a one-day tour group (but most of the one-day tour groups depart from Sanya Bay and Dadonghai, Yalong Bay almost never accepts them, and tourists have to gather at the designated location by themselves. Therefore, if you live in Yalong Bay and want to go to Fenjiezhou Island, it is more convenient to charter a car).

There are electric cars from the diving site on Boundary Island to Boundary Canyon (the highest point), which takes 30 yuan round trip. It is not recommended to take it unless you are extremely tired, because it feels like the distance is less than 2 kilometers and you can walk there.



The water at Boundary Island is clean, but the beach is very bad, with a lot of broken shells and coral reefs, so be sure to wear shoes.



There are also public sea areas for diving and swimming in Fenjiezhou Island. The last boat is around 19:00 at night, but if you swim in the public sea area, there will be no water for sandbathing around 18:00 at night. So it is better to go ashore early.

Renting a chair on Fenjiezhou Island costs 20 yuan, for an unlimited time. It is much cheaper than renting a chair in the public waters of Yalong Bay and Wuzhizhou Island.

The coast of Fenjiezhou is some distance above the sea surface. The water is very blue and the waves are quite strong.

Boundary Island is not far from the coast and can be seen. There are boats at the pier that can take you to the island, but since we were not interested in going to the island, we did not go up.

There are large and small shipwrecks and aircraft wreckage in the dive site of Fenjiezhou Island. I think it is much better than other dive sites and the price is affordable. The visibility is good in the dive site, there are relatively fewer floating objects, and the underwater creatures you see are actually much more beautiful than what is photographed.

The offshore platform of Fenjiezhou Island is indeed more shaky than the offshore platform of Baifu Bay. I really can't stay on the Fenjiezhou platform. I have to change the oxygen cylinder as quickly as possible and jump into the sea and sink as quickly as possible. Today the wind and waves are not strong and the weather is very good. Maybe it's because the platform is too small, but it's shaking so much that I want to vomit, and seasickness medicine seems to be useless.

Warm reminder: When coughing or vomiting during deep diving, you must press the regulator with your hand to avoid choking due to spitting out the regulator and being unable to breathe normally. I have tried coughing underwater, and it is fine to hold the regulator and cough normally. If you vomit, remember to empty the vomit in the regulator to avoid choking.

It was the first time I saw such a large shipwreck. The large one was at least 8 meters, and the small one was a little smaller. It was really dark inside when I looked at it up close. There were all kinds of fish. The fear of the unknown and darkness still made me a little scared. In my heart, I was actually very curious about what the depths of the dark hole looked like and what was displayed inside. I hope I can have the courage to go closer to the depths next time. The only regret is that I only found the wings of the plane wreckage but not the fuselage wreckage.
