Today, I booked a semi-submersible underwater tour for 230 yuan per person, and the scenic area for 250 yuan. Tickets can only be picked up on-site an hour after booking online. So, I bought a banana boat ride on-site for 100 yuan per person. Aside from getting splashed with salty water, I didn't experience anything special. Before boarding, they told us not to bring phones. After the 10 minutes at sea, they said they'd take a group of photos for us... What do you think they'll say next? 🤷‍♀️ The semi-submersible wasn't very deep, but we saw two types of fish and two types of coral reefs. It lasted half an hour. We chose a boat tour, 120/40 minutes, which was a lap around the sea and allowed us to see the scenery. However, there was no explanation, and the boat was small, so it rocked a lot on the sea. My friend even got seasick. After getting off the boat, we took some photos on the beach. We took a lot of beautiful photos.

If you can't swim, don't dive. The water area is polluted. The water quality is really different from that of Wuzhizhou Island. But when we got on, it was just a small electric boat with a narrow glass window in the middle, through which we could see a little coral on the seabed. This was the so-called Underwater World. It cost 150 yuan per person. It's a rip-off. The touts were full of lies. Don't go. I also hope the relevant departments will take action. So many people have been deceived.

It's not far from the Tropical Paradise Forest Park. It's actually based on the waters of Yalong Bay, offering some water activities and diving. You can still give it a try, as the waters of Yalong Bay are the best. The entrance fee is 10 yuan, which is considered cheap in Sanya. Various other activities are charged separately.

Located in the Yalong Bay National Tourist Resort in Sanya, it has charming bays and beaches. In the surrounding waters, it has the world's largest and most complete soft coral community as well as colorful hard corals, tropical fish and other marine life.

Sanya is really beautiful everywhere. It is recommended to travel independently to have a good time.

Good swimming, a lot of people, not a big place

Our first stop was Yalong Bay Underwater World. It's essentially just the beach, and there are plenty of water activities there, including deep-sea diving, professional diving in the West Row area, motorboats, parasailing, semi-submersible sightseeing boats, underwater flying fish, sightseeing submarines, banana boat rides, and speedboat excursions. You can choose according to your needs, and prices vary. Well, I didn't choose any. Firstly, shipping and changing clothes would be a hassle, and secondly, I wasn't particularly interested. So, I just went to the beach and experienced the water. Kids who didn't grow up by the sea are more excited to see the ocean than those who did. Since I didn't bring a swimsuit, I didn't go in the water. After playing in the water for a while, I went ashore to take photos, eat coconuts, and relax.

The only free public restroom at Yalong Bay Underwater World is located to the left of the Yalong Bay ticket office, as all restrooms inside are charged. The underwater world offers a wide variety of activities, including shallow water activities, seabed walks, and parasailing. Most people choose to dive, but you'll need to take a boat before diving. There's no resting area in Yalong Bay, so we recommend viewing the view from the bridge (10 yuan per person), which has unlimited seating. Showers and foot baths are charged (20 yuan), so if you want to save money, walk back to the ticket office.

I felt ripped off. Don't take a glass-bottom boat! It's just an overpriced yacht with no fish. Everyone was disappointed. Nothing to see through the glass except a few broken rocks.

There are many marine entertainment projects to play at Yalong Bay Underwater World. Since Manman was not feeling well, we did not go diving or participate in the marine projects. While his friends went diving, Manman quietly helped to look after the items on the shore. PS: These entertainment projects can be purchased online in advance, which will be dozens to hundreds of yuan cheaper, but please be sure to purchase them one day in advance. Since we made a sudden decision, we did not have time to book online. The diving that cost 360 yuan online was 460 yuan on site, and the photo was 60 yuan per photo.

I booked a semi-submersible tour of Yalong Bay Underwater World on Taobao. Because I was concerned that the elderly and children couldn't dive, it turned out to be a rip-off. In fact, I could not see many fish and it cost 200 yuan per person. In addition, several of us suffered from seasickness to varying degrees. It was a complete rip-off.

We arrived at the Yalong Bay Underwater World (Duration: 1.5 hours). When the tour guide introduced the attraction on the bus, I expected it to be like the Polar Oceanarium in Tianjin, where I could explore a vast array of marine life. However, I was once again disappointed... The so-called Yalong Bay Underwater World is actually just a beach and ocean. While visitors can choose from a variety of marine activities like diving and speedboating, the water isn't as clear as the waters of Wuzhizhou Island. If you want snorkeling, go to Wuzhizhou Island. It's just sunshine, sand, and waves here, so don't bother visiting.

Across from the hotel is the underwater world of Yalong Bay. With the development of many islands, the water there is clearer and the environment is better. Nowadays, not many people come to Yalong Bay to dive. However, because it is a free and open beach, there are still many tourists.

Brought the whole family to the underwater world to take a semi-submersible sightseeing submarine tour. When we got there, a group of staff members came up and recommended this and that. My husband and I had been on a semi-submersible sightseeing boat before, so we didn't buy tickets and booked tickets for them. We let the whole family go on board directly. Please note that they handled the tickets unilaterally from head to toe. An hour later, the whole family was vomiting and dizzy, and told us that this was not on the bottom of the sea. Later, when my husband and I asked, we found out that they had changed it to a glass boat for us, which is the cheap kind that floats on the sea. Later, we asked the staff, and they said that the semi-submersible boat was not open today, but the staff had not told us before. We went to argue with the manager, but the manager didn't pay any attention to me, and joined the tall and strong staff to say why don't we young people go on board, since we will never go there again in our lifetime anyway. This kind of place needs to be properly managed by the government, as it is obviously making money from the elderly!

Lifebuoy rentals are also available on the beach.

Be sure to go early. We went at 9 a.m. when it was less crowded, allowing us to see everything from every angle in the semi-submersible tank. By the time we returned, a large group had already arrived. It's worth a visit for those who haven't seen corals and tropical fish before. There's no time limit, and if you get tired, you can enjoy the fish on the deck while you're enjoying the breeze. Remember to buy some fish food at the upper pier. There's bait for sale on the deck, and the feeding attracted a lot of fish. I felt like I saw more and more fish than in the submersible tank. I really don't recommend going on this glass boat again. You just lie on the boat and look at the glass bottom, not really seeing much. The water isn't as clear as I'd expect, and the fish aren't very diverse, mostly small. Diving takes courage. One of the girls in my group wore an oxygen mask but didn't dare to dive in. At a certain depth, my eardrums hurt. The dive wasn't long, not even 30 minutes underwater. I tried to get a photo taken, but after that, I was let out. It wasn't as good as I'd expected. People who get seasick should be prepared; I felt a bit dizzy. If you're prone to motion sickness, be careful when choosing a boat, as the boat rocks quite a bit. The staff have very poor environmental awareness, dumping household garbage directly into the sea. They wash dishes with detergent directly above the diving area, and dump leftovers, cigarette butts, plastic bags, etc. directly into the sea. The relevant departments should take good care of this. If this continues, Yalong Bay will soon become a garbage dump. The prices of food and souvenirs are extremely inflated, which is not worth it. The value for money is low, so I don't recommend buying them. You can go after lunch when the sun is better in the afternoon, so you don't have to be so hungry that you can't be ripped off.

Diving is worth trying, and other water sports are also good

There is no aquarium in Yalong Bay Underwater World, it is a place with various amusement projects.

The price was even higher than in Thailand! Before boarding, they said four photos would cost 160 yuan, but once we were in the water, the instructor recommended a set of photos with a CD for 280 yuan! For my own safety and to avoid offending the instructor, I opted for the 280 yuan. But the instructor's service was truly excellent! Thanks to the instructor's encouragement, I was able to hold on to the 8-meter mark. Without the instructor, I'd have been in trouble after 3 meters!

If you haven't dived in Sanya but want to experience underwater swimming, you can try it. It's basically sitting in the bottom of a boat with glass sides, watching tropical fish of the same color and species swimming around outside.

Yalong Bay Underwater World is a place for water activities and diving projects. Activities include underwater world deep sea diving, Xipai professional diving, motorboat, parasailing, semi-submersible sightseeing, underwater world flying fish, glass boat sightseeing, banana boat, speedboat sea tour, etc. You can choose the project according to your personal needs. The prices of different projects are different, but playing water projects here is much cheaper than in Wuzhizhou Island.

There were a lot of people on the beach. We bought a semi-submarine to see the underwater world, which was really a rip-off. If you don't know how to ride a boat, don't go. We took a 20-minute boat ride first, and then changed to a semi-submarine boat to go out to sea. The underwater world snorkeling boat was not worth it. The seabed was turbid and you couldn't see anything clearly. There were only a few jellyfish and corals. The boat was not enough to sit, and you had to stand. You had to pick up divers halfway and the boat was full of people. It was not worth it.

You have to pay for boat diving, airships, and the beach, and even a lounge chair is 50/hour. However, the water in Yalong Bay is very clear, and it is more beautiful than Dadonghai and Sanya Bay, with a gradient color. It's nice to go swimming!
