Dujiangyan is located in the west of Dujiangyan City, Chengdu.

Located on the Minjiang River in the west of Chengdu Plain,

It was first built in the last years of King Zhao of Qin (approximately 256-251 BC).

It is a large-scale water conservancy project organized and built by Li Bing, the prefect of Shu County, and his sons, based on the foundation of the previous work of Bi Ling.

The full price of the scenic spot ticket is 90 yuan.

Student ID cards are half price, and there is a free monthly ticket grab event in the off-season in December. I went there when the free tickets were available in December.

Opening hours are from 8 am to 6 pm.

First, let's talk about the travel strategy:

If you are departing from downtown Chengdu,

It is recommended to take Metro Line 2 and get off at Xipu Metro Station

(From Chunxi Road to Xipu, there are 15 stops in total, which takes about 46 minutes and costs 6 yuan)

Then take the intercity railway from Xipu Station to Dujiangyan Station.

Walk about 3 minutes from Dujiangyan Station to the high-speed rail Dujiangyan Station bus stop, then take the Dujiangyan Scenic Area Direct Bus to Lidui Park Bus Stop, and walk 2 minutes forward to the main entrance of Dujiangyan.

Xipu Subway Station - Dujiangyan Scenic Area, with two transfers, takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes and costs 14 yuan.

Alternatively, you can take the intercity railway C6157 (departs at 3:29 pm, takes 40 minutes, costs 10 yuan) directly from Xipu Station to Lidui Park Station, and then walk 1 kilometer to reach the Dujiangyan Scenic Area.

Then tell me the tour route:

Generally, you can enter from the entrance of Dujiangyan Lidui Park and visit the important attractions in Dujiangyan Scenic Area in succession, including: Lidui Park (entrance), Fulong Temple, Baopingkou, Feishayan, Yuzui Diversion Dike, Anlan Cable Bridge, Qinyan Tower, Erwang Temple, Songmao Ancient Road, Xiguan, Yuxi Pavilion, City God Temple, Yuxi Mountain (park exit), etc.

Let's talk about the core attractions recommended:

Firstly, Baopingkou, Feishayan and Yuzui are the three main projects that constitute the hub of Dujiangyan water conservancy project, and you must visit them. Among them, Yuzui diversion dike can be said to be the core of the "Dujiangyan Water Worship" tour of this water conservancy project.

Secondly, Yuxi Pavilion and Qinyan Tower are the two best viewpoints for viewing Dujiangyan from a high place, and they are also not to be missed. Yuxi Pavilion is the highest, but it may be blocked by fog and affect the viewing effect. I recommend Qinyan Tower, which is the best place to overlook the panoramic view of Dujiangyan, and you can clearly take a panoramic view of the Dujiangyan water conservancy project here (the Erwang Temple on the right side of Qinyan Tower, which is also high, can be visited together).

Third, you have to walk on the Anlan Cable Bridge (also known as the Couple Bridge/He Gong and He Mu Bridge, right next to the Fish Mouth). You should know that the Anlan Cable Bridge is one of the five famous ancient bridges in my country, along with the Zhaozhou Bridge and the Lugou Bridge (the other two ancient bridges are the Xiangzi Bridge and the Luoyang Bridge). It is also a world cable bridge architectural model and a national key cultural relic protection site. It was built when Li Bing built the weir. The love story of He Xiande and his wife is also spread on this bridge.

Fourthly, not far from the entrance of Lidui Park, there is a tree marked "Zhangsong Ginkgo". It is the "Ginseng Fruit Tree" that appeared many times in the TV series "Journey to the West" and it cannot be ignored.

Fifth, the Nanqiao (night view) and Guanxian Ancient City next to Dujiangyan are also very good. It is very convenient to eat, stay and travel in Guanxian Ancient City (an ancient city accompanied by a thousand-year-old weir) at night.

By lwer wishes the wind would cut the dust |

🚆If you only go to Dujiangyan like me, you can buy the intercity ticket from Xipu to Dujiangyan. You can take the subway to Xipu without exiting the station and transfer directly to the intercity. It only takes half an hour to reach Dujiangyan Station.

🚌From the Dujiangyan express train station, you can take the bus or tourist train to the scenic area. There are two (san) routes to choose from in the scenic area.

1️⃣no.1 Take the bus to Lidui Park, enter Lidui Park, and exit Lidui Park. Walk from Yuzui and Feishayan to Baopingkou. At this time, if you want to go to the top of the mountain to see the whole view and Erwang Temple, you will have to walk more and need to go up the mountain and then come down.

2️⃣no.2 Take the bus to Erwang Temple, enter Erwang Temple, and exit at Lidui Park. Walk down from the mountain, you can go up to Qinyan Tower to see the whole view of Dujiangyan, then walk down the mountain, cross the Anlan Cable Bridge, see Baopingkou, Yuzui, Feishayan in turn, and walk to Lidui Park.

3️⃣no.3 It is said that you can see Dujiangyan by helicopter! I don’t know if it is true or not, but I saw a helicopter flying over my head~

I took route 2️⃣, which I think will save energy. It is important to note that you must listen to the explanations in Dujiangyan. In places like Baopingkou and Yuzui, you can follow the tour group, or rent an interpreter at the entrance of the scenic spot, which requires a cash deposit.

Dujiangyan is indeed worth a visit. I cannot judge whether it deserves such praise, but when the tour guide of Dujiangyan introduced such a great project, the pride in his tone was indeed sincere. I did some research before going there and searched Baidu about the operating principle of Dujiangyan, but it was still vague. This kind of understanding can only be experienced on site.

👍What a great project! The Baopingkou was built by breaking the mountain and the water was diverted to create the Tianfu Kingdom.

It will bring blessings to future generations and last forever.

When I witnessed the rapid flow of the Minjiang River, I felt a sense of awe for nature. I was reminded of Pan Jixun, a water conservancy expert in the Ming Dynasty, who successfully managed the Yellow River. Their genius and ability saved countless lives of innocent people threatened by floods.

History is fortunate to have people like Li Bing and Pan Jixun.

After touring the urban area of Chengdu, you can head to Dujiangyan, a prosperous land of abundance, to experience and tour the world's water conservancy culture and magnificence.

🎫Adult ticket is NT$90, student voucher is NT$45; audio guide is NT$10 (extra charge).

🚍The round trip ticket for the sightseeing bus is 15 yuan, and the one-way ticket is 10 yuan (from Beiting to Yuzui).

⏰Play time: 3 hours.

💡Main attractions: Yuzui diversion dike, Feishayan spillway, Anlan cable bridge, Erwang Temple and South Bridge.

It only takes about 10 minutes to walk from Dujiangyan Railway Station to the entrance of Dujiangyan Scenic Area. No transportation is needed. The ticket is 80 yuan. It is a few yuan cheaper to buy it online, but you don’t have to queue up to buy tickets. You can directly exchange tickets at the online ticket window. Here I would like to remind everyone not to use the so-called gold medal commentary, which is a WeChat applet. Most of the explanations are not detailed and many details are missing. If you are not short of money, you can hire a scenic spot commentator. Not only can you hear the detailed uses of each part of Dujiangyan, but you can also ask questions. Other forms are also acceptable, such as audio explanations rented by scenic spots, or field guides.

To enter the scenic area, walk directly from Xuanhua Gate, walk to Nanqiao, and cross to the other side. Nanqiao is nice and it is also the first and most convenient place to see the water after the river passes the weir.

After crossing the bridge, you will reach the ticket office. After exchanging your ticket, you will enter. The first attraction is actually Lidui Park.

There are some cultural buildings on the mountain, such as Erwang Temple, Yulei Pavilion, Xiguan, and the ancient road. In fact, the whole mountain is not very high, and it is good to climb slowly. The steepest and longest climb is from Xiguan to Yulei Pavilion.

You can come out directly from Yulei Pavilion, there are no more attractions. In fact, every attraction on the mountain is meaningful, but I didn’t have a tour guide...

By Chen Huan |

🚌After getting off the high-speed rail, you can buy bus tickets to Dujiangyan scenic spots, which is highly recommended. First, the tickets are cheap, second, they are regular operating vehicles, and third, there are actually tour guides on the bus to introduce you to the attractions and help you buy tickets, which saves you a lot of worry.

📷The first scenic spot after entering the scenic area is Yulei Pavilion. After Yulei Pavilion, there are Erwang Temple, Husband and Wife Bridge, Yuzui and other scenic spots.

👍Since February is not the rainy season, the river water is not big, but when I saw this water conservancy project in person, I still admire Li Bing who lived more than 2,000 years ago.

🚶From the parking lot to the entrance of Dujiangyan, you need to walk along a long commercial street with shops on both sides, and finally reach South Street. There are several people dressed as Monkey King, Pigsy and Sha Seng, who warmly invite you to take a photo with them📷, of course, there is a charge.

🍵After purchasing the discounted ticket at the visitor center, enter the scenic area. After tasting the reserved Qingcheng Four Wonders lunch at Tianfuyuan Tea House, enter the World Cultural Heritage-Dujiangyan Scenic Area to visit this great water conservancy project.

💡The Dujiangyan Scenic Area is 30% looking and 70% listening. We traveled independently and sometimes listened to the explanations. In addition, we looked at the diagrams, which gave us a general understanding of the principles of water control and made us admire Li Bing and his son even more.

[Baopingkou] is the second water diversion point, which divides the Yangtze River into the inner river and the outer river. Water is diverted for irrigation during droughts and the sluice gates are blocked during rains, ensuring the irrigation of 3 million mu of fertile farmland and making Chengdu a land of abundance where harvests can be guaranteed regardless of drought or flood.

The huge [Yuzui Diversion Dam] divides the Minjiang River into the Inner River and the Outer River, and diverts water without a dam, achieving a 4:6 flood diversion and a 2:8 sand drainage.

[Anlan Cable Bridge] It's a swaying bridge, which is very interesting. It's easy to get dizzy!

After passing the Erwang Temple, you will reach the Songmao Ancient Road. From here you can return to the starting point, but the journey is long, so people usually turn back here.

On the way back, we visited the museum to learn more about this great water conservancy project.

🚍In fact, you can take an electric car directly to Yuzui from the entrance of the scenic area. We chose to walk and watch this great water conservancy project up close. The shocking degree was extraordinary.

By Huang Xiaoxie |

First, go to the ticket office to pick up your ticket (the ticket is 90 yuan, you can book it online or buy it directly on site).

After entering the main gate, you can follow the tourist map behind the ticket to see the panoramic view of Dujiangyan. It takes about 3-4 hours to tour the entire scenic area.

In fact, if time permits and you are not afraid of walking, it is recommended that you do not take the electric car. After all, the scenery and air along the way are very good. Only by walking slowly and appreciating it slowly can you better appreciate the charm of this great project of ancient and modern times.

Personally, I think there are several must-visit places in Dujiangyan. The first is to go to Fulong Temple to pay homage to the stone statue of Li Bing and learn about the life and major achievements of Li Bing and his son. Then you can go to Baopingkou, Feishayan, Yuzui, Anlan Ancient Bridge, Qinyan Tower, Songmao Ancient Road, Yulei Pass, etc. Before going to Dujiangyan, it is best to learn relevant water conservancy knowledge or take a tour guide, which will be of certain benefit for the on-site visit.

By Dark Fairy Tale |

It's the perfect time to go to Dujiangyan, the weather is right and the scenery is beautiful. The blue water of the Minjiang River is very comfortable when you first see it.

I drove there from Chengdu. When I got off the highway, there was a display screen that said that parking spaces in Dujiangyan Scenic Area were tight and I needed to take a detour to the North Gate. After entering the North Gate parking lot, there was a road on the side that led to the main gate. I wanted to save ten minutes of walking, so I walked through the parking lot and parked my car in a parking area opposite the main gate. It was free, haha.

The ticket price is 80 yuan, and you can save 2 yuan by buying it on Meituan. After checking your ticket, go in through the north gate.

I walked directly to the Anlan Cable Bridge. It was windy yesterday and the bridge was a bit shaky. My legs were weak. After walking across the Anlan Cable Bridge, I went to the famous Fish Mouth. The river water was blue and really beautiful. Then I just walked along the way. I won’t go into details. Anyway, there is only one road. The scenery here is pretty good. There is a garden and a small lake inside. It is very pleasant and comfortable.

Then I walked out of the gate and went to the South Bridge. There were people performing at the South Bridge and it was very lively. After crossing the South Bridge, you can go to West Street to stroll around and have something to eat. Then I walked to the Ten Palaces. I didn't go to Yulei Park. Instead, I passed through the City God Temple and walked along the Songmao Ancient Road to the Erlang Temple. There is a vegetarian restaurant on the right side of the Erlang Temple. It costs 10 cents per serving. If I hadn't eaten enough on West Street, I would have tried it.

After visiting Erwang Temple, you can go to Yulei Pavilion on the right. You need to take the Buyun Corridor escalator for 40 yuan per person. It is a very long elevator. I heard that you can see the whole picture of Dujiangyan from the top of Yulei Pavilion, but I didn't want to spend 40 yuan. Some people say that there is a bluestone road to go up, which is a little tiring, but the scenery is very good. But I didn't find it, so I returned the same way. From Erwang Temple, I went to Qinyan Tower on the left. The building is very high, and the scenery on the top of the building is also very good. You can also see the whole Dujiangyan. So if you don't want to spend money to go to Yulei Pavilion, just go directly to Qinyan Tower. After seeing Qinyan Tower, I went down the mountain and went out through the north gate.

I walked this route by myself, mainly because I was afraid that it would be difficult to park at the main gate, so I followed the opposite direction of the crowd and walked a whole circle. I felt pretty good and didn't have to worry about being crowded. There were also plenty of parking spaces at the north gate. I don't think you need to hire a tour guide or buy an audio guide to go to Dujiangyan.

Dujiangyan is located in the west of Dujiangyan City, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, on the Minjiang River in the west of Chengdu Plain. It was built in the late years of King Zhao of Qin (about 256-251 BC). It is a large-scale water conservancy project organized and built by Li Bing, the governor of Shu County, and his son on the basis of the excavation of their predecessor Bi Ling. It consists of the Fish Mouth, Feishayan, Baopingkou and other parts. It has been playing a role in flood control and irrigation for more than 2,000 years, making the Chengdu Plain a "land of abundance" with fertile fields and floods and droughts. So far, the irrigation area has reached more than 30 counties and cities, covering an area of nearly 10 million mu. It is the oldest, only remaining, and still in use large-scale water conservancy project in the world, characterized by damless water diversion, and embodies the hard work, bravery and wisdom of the ancient Chinese working people. Dujiangyan is a world cultural heritage and a world natural heritage.

Chengdu, the land of abundance, is an important city in the southwest of China. It is both the starting point and the end point of the Sichuan-Tibet Highway. With thousands of years of history, there are many attractions to enjoy in and around Chengdu. Among them, the most famous ones outside the city are Dujiangyan and Qingcheng Mountain.

Since the author visited during the National Day holiday, it was crowded and raining. SO~ there shouldn’t be a worse time. If you still decide to go after reading the comments and photos of the author’s CP in hardship, I believe the experience will be far better than the author’s.

Worship the water at Dujiangyan and seek the truth at Mount Qingcheng. I think both are equally good. If you know the history behind these two places, you can have unlimited fun no matter the weather or whether it is crowded.

On the contrary, if you prefer to take some beautiful photos that will win over your friends, then, in my opinion, neither is a good choice.

Let's talk about the shortcomings of Dujiangyan first. First of all, it is too famous. During holidays, tourists from all directions gather here, shoulder to shoulder, and crowded. It is not an exaggeration to say that the front is full of people.

Then, the parking lot is very small and will be full very early, and there is basically no backup parking. The last kilometer took me more than an hour to get there, and I was really heartbroken.

Third, the catering in the scenic area is relatively simple, there is basically no "restaurant", only street stalls + instant noodles level fast food

Finally, if it is rainy (it often rains in Chengdu), there is basically no place to hide from the rain in the scenic area. You have to bring your own umbrella and raincoat. And it is unrealistic to take beautiful photos of the misty rain, because this is not the misty rain in Jiangnan, it is really just cloudy and rainy.

Now that we have talked about the shortcomings, let’s talk about the advantages.

Without Dujiangyan, there would be no Chengdu. This is something I can say with a clear conscience! Don’t worry, your conscience won’t hurt when you tell the truth.

Without building a dike, floods were turned into mulberry fields. This unique project created by Li Bing, the governor of Qin, and his sons has cultivated the fertile fields of Shuzhong and the flower-filled Jinguan City. The Dujiang Weir has benefited the West Sichuan. Therefore, when you come to Chengdu, how can you not visit the Dujiang Weir?

OVER!

The core of visiting cultural relics is to think about the present from the past. Everything else is just a passing cloud.

Here, I strongly recommend Hades, the great god of China-TravelNote, a super awesome free travel guide "Going to Dujiangyan? Here is a detailed guide for you!" http://www.mafengwo.cn/gonglve/ziyouxing/77110.html, which is an excerpt from the travel notes "Ancient Shu Seeking Beauty: Worshiping the Water Dujiangyan". It is really well written. If you want to appreciate every place in Dujiangyan, you must read it carefully and collect it carefully. It is a masterpiece of the great god!!!

Please don’t ask me why I didn’t write it myself. To be honest, if you read the explanation of the great god, you won’t want to look at the photos I took below again.

That’s basically it for Dujiangyan.

By Watcher |

It is divided into three parts. The first one is the Guanxian Ancient City. Except for some remaining ancient city walls, it is actually an antique commercial district. The second is the water conservancy project scenic area, which is also the core scenic area of Dujiangyan. The last one is the Yulei Mountain Scenic Area. In fact, it is a mountain next to the water conservancy project. Many artificial scenic spots have been developed, and the scenery on the mountain is still good.

By Wisdom |

Like most people, I knew about Dujiangyan because of an article I learned at that time. I was careless and did not do any homework. I thought I was just going to see a water conservancy project and then come back. Who knew that the essence of this place is to climb the mountain and then see a water conservancy project.

There is a tower that made me doubt my life after climbing it. It has at least 6 or 7 floors, but I felt like I would never reach the top.

Just when I was about to leave, I saw the water conservancy project that I wanted to see the most.

By Gloria_tz |

As soon as I got out of the high-speed rail station, I heard the majestic sound of water. This can be regarded as the back door of Dujiangyan, and my mood was also stirred like the water. It takes ten minutes to walk to the gate of Dujiangyan. The South Bridge next to the gate is more brilliant at night. There are sightseeing buses inside Dujiangyan, but you can only get on and off at the entrance and Yuzui. If your physical strength allows, you can still choose to walk. Several major attractions are relatively concentrated. There are quite a lot of tour guides, and we also listened for a while. Some waters are calm, some are turbulent, and when several streams meet, the colliding vortex brings up waves, which is really spectacular. Listening to the sound of waves hitting the shore and looking at the green mountains surrounding it, my mood became open. After walking across the cable bridge, we also saw most of the water conservancy projects in Dujiangyan, such as Qinyan Tower and Erwang Temple. We did not go in to take a closer look, and planned to return. Go down from Yulei Pass and go through West Gate, you will be out of Dujiangyan. After passing a slope with many shops, you will return to the "back door" of Dujiangyan that you saw before. After rushing, you will finally catch the return express train. Every journey is really inseparable from running.

By Xiaozhou Travel Vision |

There is an ancient town on the right side of the scenic area gate. There are many delicious foods in the ancient town. Hahaha, I love it.

I am finally going to see the Dujiangyan I have been dreaming about. Why do I yearn for it so much? Because I think it is the most ingenious project, and we feel extremely proud of the wisdom of our ancestors.

The Dujiangyan in the ticket is clearer, but the foggy scene reminds me of the clouds and rain in Wushan. Haha, it’s real clouds and rain. Haha, the clouds and mist are so lingering that it feels like we have entered a fairyland.

By buxiang1 |

As soon as I got off the through train, I felt a damp and cold wind. The temperature in Dujiangyan was obviously several degrees lower than that in Chengdu. No matter what, I sent a postcard. However, my family has not received it yet. On this day, we walked nearly 17,000 steps.

The scenic spot actually has the beauty of ancient gardens. In addition to the free explanation, the scenic spot also provides paid gold medal explanations, which may be more detailed and interesting, but I, who am stingy, did not experience it.

When I went up to Fulong Temple, Baopingkou suddenly appeared in front of me. It was also the first time I saw the water of Minjiang River. The water was like jasper, and the light green color was particularly crystal clear.

The whole scenic area is filled with the mist of the Minjiang River. Because of the mist, mosses grow everywhere in Dujiangyan. I especially love these green

When you come to Dujiangyan, you must worship the water. Climb to the highest point of Dujiangyan Mountain and worship in the direction of the water flow according to the Taoist ritual of bowing. When we reached the top of Yulei Mountain along the Buyun Corridor escalator, it was already 17:20. The staff said that the escalator would be closed at 17:30. At this time, the snow was getting heavier, so we hurried down the mountain.

Dujiangyan Irrigation System is located in the west of Dujiangyan City, Sichuan Province. It is a large-scale water conservancy project built in ancient China and still in use today. It is known as the "ancestor of the world's water conservancy culture". The Dujiangyan Irrigation System was built by Li Bing, the governor of Shu County in the Qin State, and his son around 256 BC. It is the oldest and only remaining large-scale water conservancy project in the world that features damless water diversion. It is well worth a visit.

By Peace of mind to explain |

It is really spectacular here, the water is super super clear. How can fresh water be so clear and so green? It is incredible!

It’s so beautiful! As I said before, a cell phone can’t capture even one thousandth of the beauty…

Because I was traveling alone, I asked and found out that it cost 150 yuan to hire a tour guide. The cost-effectiveness is not high for me alone. I think if there are four or five people, we must hire a tour guide... I followed this public account on WeChat, which has free explanations. I think those who don’t have a tour guide can use this to listen to it. It’s not bad!

By candy |

Because I think that for such a great water conservancy project, although there are free explanations on the Internet, I think it is more convenient to rent an interpreter, so I spent 20 yuan on rent and 100 yuan on deposit to rent an interpreter. The interpreter has its own positioning function and automatically explains when it arrives at the place, but this interpreter cannot choose to replay by itself, and in the later tour, it was also found that there were also cases where no explanation appeared when it arrived at the place, and it could not be manually selected to play. I wanted to return it and then gave up on the principle of not getting angry when I came out to play. There are recommended tour routes on the interpreter. Walk along the river for a while to reach Yuzui. If you don't like to walk, you can also take a battery car at your own expense next to the Feishayan Observation Deck. It takes about 4 hours to visit the entire Dujiangyan. If you have limited time and physical strength, you can cross the Anlan Cable Bridge to the Erwang Temple, and then return to the Lidui Gate by the same route. There will be a performance of the water release ceremony at the exit of the north gate of the Dujiangyan Scenic Area at regular intervals. The ticket price is not cheap, so I didn't watch it.

By Pig with gap teeth |

The ancients were also amazing. How did they accomplish such a difficult project with such high quality?

Be sure to pay attention~ When you arrive at Anlan Bridge, don't rush to cross the bridge. Walk a little further and you will see the Yuzui Diversion Dike, which is the most spectacular and worth seeing place in the Dujiangyan Irrigation Project and can be regarded as the essence of Dujiangyan. We climbed up the mountain and realized what we missed, but we were too tired to go down the mountain... We could only overlook it...

By Cute Wonderland |

We arrived at Dujiangyan at four in the afternoon. We could say that we counted the time while we walked around. I felt that it would be a shame if we came all the way here and didn't visit Dujiangyan.

When I saw the turquoise river water rushing forward, I couldn't help but feel a great respect. Such a shocking history and scenery record the wisdom and thickness of the Chinese nation. It would be a pity if I didn't come.

Unfortunately, time was tight and we had to rush through the tour. We didn’t visit many places and we didn’t rent a guide as we had planned. I was so sad.

By Cat Thoughts |

As soon as you enter the door, the emerald green water of the Minjiang River comes into view.

Dujiangyan is both natural and cultural. It is a water conservancy project built by Li Bing that we learned in textbooks a long time ago. It has been nourishing the land of abundance for thousands of years.

November should have entered the dry season of the Minjiang River. The water flow is not turbulent, and the jade-colored river water flows along the lush green mountains. Even if the sky is not clear, it is still beautiful.

I like the green river water.

The climate here is humid, and all the stones and trees are covered with moss.

If you don't follow a tour guide when visiting such attractions, you will miss a lot of stories. Dujiangyan is not only about natural scenery, but also about humanistic feelings.

Come to Chengdu for a 6-day trip, the first day is Dujiangyan, and the second to sixth days are in Chengdu city.

I got off the plane at 9:30 and took a direct bus to Dujiangyan at 11:00 (there is a direct bus to the scenic area in the airport, you can ask the staff). When I arrived at the entrance of the scenic area, I crossed the South Bridge to have dinner across the street, checked into the hotel (booked online), put my luggage away, and then entered the scenic area.

It happened to rain on the day I went. If you have the energy and time, you can cross the bridge from Yuzui, climb the mountain, and exit from the east gate.

By Small domain does not grow meat |

Yuzui divides the water, Feishayan deposits silt, and Baopingkou diverts water into the Chengdu Plain. The design from thousands of years ago is still in use today, creating the richness of the Chengdu Plain. Mr. Yu Qiuyu highly praised the Dujiangyan Irrigation System, saying that the Great Wall was only needed for war, while the Dujiangyan Irrigation System actually benefits the local people. In any case, a water conservancy project that can be used for thousands of years is a world miracle.

If you are going to Dujiangyan, how can you not go to see the water conservancy project of Dujiangyan? You must go. If you don't want to climb the slope, you can enter from Qinyan Building. If you don't have any requirements, any entrance is fine.

By Red Sleeves and Purple Moon |

Worship the water at Dujiangyan and seek the way at Qingcheng Mountain.

Dujiangyan is also a miracle. The water conservancy project built more than 2,000 years ago is still enduring and still plays a role. It fully demonstrates the wisdom and bravery of the ancient Chinese people. In any case, it is worth seeing. The scenic area is not very large. You can visit Qinyan Tower, Erwang Temple, Yuzui, Feishayan, Baopingkou and other scenic spots in turn. After leaving the scenic area through the south gate, you will see the South Bridge.

The South Bridge is a bit like the Rainbow Bridge in Phoenix. It is said that it looks better at night. The lights on both sides turn the river water blue, hence the name Blue Tears. But we came here during the day and unfortunately did not see it.

By Once upon a time |

You must go and see this thousand-year-old water conservancy project, which is famous both at home and abroad and has been renowned throughout the ages, to experience up close the ancient people's sense of responsibility, wisdom, and their spirit of man conquering nature.

By Want to eat clay pot rice |

The water conservancy project, which has been around for thousands of years, is surrounded by mountains and rivers, and the scenery is quite magnificent. Whether from the perspective of historical significance or simply for fun, it is a place worth visiting. At each water diversion point, you can have a deep understanding of the working principle of Dujiangyan and marvel at the wisdom of the ancients. In the rainy season in summer, the green mountains and green waters are foggy, which is actually a good time to play. There are many ancient buildings on Yulei Mountain, which are also worth seeing.

Dujiangyan, a world-famous large-scale water conservancy project for damless water diversion, has not only survived the long years, but continues to play an important role today.

Looking back on the past, it is easy to imagine how smart Li Bing, the prefect of Qin Shu County, was to come up with the idea of building a water conservancy project like Dujiangyan.

More than 2,270 years ago, without the support of modern high-tech construction technology, it was not easy to complete this arduous project, which made a huge contribution to improving water conservancy, with only extremely simple wooden or iron tools, manpower and hands, and even at the cost of their lives.

By snails |

I originally thought that it was mainly about the three sets of water conservancy projects (Baopingkou, Feishayan, Yuzui), and was more about humanities and history, but in fact the natural scenery is also very good, and the environment is very good. And there were not many tourists during the epidemic, so the overall experience was still good.

It rained a little bit on the day I went there, and the whole place was wet. The mountains were still very artistic, and it wasn't sunny at all.

The Minjiang River divides it into two parts. One side is a set of three water conservancy projects, which is basically flat and not too tiring. The other side is a mountain, which requires climbing uphill, which is a bit tiring, but the scenery is still very good.

Dujiangyan, a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction and a world cultural heritage, is located in the west of Dujiangyan City (formerly known as Guan County), a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Chengdu, on the Minjiang River in the west of the Chengdu Plain. It was built in the late years of King Zhao of Qin. It is a large-scale water conservancy project organized and built by Li Bing, the prefect of Shu County, and his sons on the basis of the excavation of their predecessor Bi Ling. It consists of the Fish Mouth, Feishayan, Baopingkou and other parts. It has played a role in flood control and irrigation for more than 2,000 years, making the Chengdu Plain a "land of abundance" with fertile fields and water and drought. To date, the irrigation area has reached more than 30 counties and cities, covering an area of nearly 10 million acres. It is the world's oldest and only surviving large-scale water conservancy project that is still in use and characterized by damless water diversion.

Just climbing up the escalator of Dujiangyan is spectacular, not to mention the magnificent Dujiangyan Dam. Listening to the tour guide's explanation, I was in awe of the wisdom of the ancients.

By Sitting Alone in Bixi |

The design of Dujiangyan is natural and ingenious, the wisdom of the ancients is amazing, and the method of "taking advantage of the situation" is worth learning and reference. You must do your homework or rent an interpreter to dig deep into the principles and stories behind it when you come here, otherwise it will be no different from taking a walk in Binjiang Park. It takes at least two hours to complete the whole tour, and three hours is better.

Dujiangyan Weir is located in Dujiangyan City, Chengdu, Sichuan. It was built between 256 and 251 BC. It is a large-scale water conservancy project built by Li Bing and his son, the governor of Shu County in the Qin Dynasty. It consists of the Fish Mouth, Feishayan, Baopingkou and other parts. It has played a role in flood control and irrigation for more than 2,000 years. It is precisely because of the construction of Dujiangyan that the Chengdu Plain has become a land of abundance with fertile fields, which has greatly promoted the development of agricultural productivity in Sichuan and even laid a material foundation for the Qin Dynasty to annex the six countries and unify China. At the same time, Dujiangyan is the crystallization of the wisdom and diligence of the ancient Chinese working people, and is a perfect world display of the idea that man can conquer nature.

Dujiangyan Scenic Area includes many scenic spots, which are about 60 to 70 kilometers away from Chengdu, mainly Dujiangyan Project and Qingcheng Mountain. Dujiangyan Project is a rare Qin Dynasty cultural relic and is still in use.

It is recommended to understand the engineering principles before visiting Dujiangyan, so as to appreciate the wisdom of the ancients. Recommended tour route: Main Gate - Lidui Park - Fulong Temple - Renzi Dike - Yuzui - Anlan Bridge - Erwang Temple - Qinyan Tower (choose one of Yulei Pavilion and Yulei Pavilion). Those with weak physical strength can go in the reverse direction. You can just wander around Guanxian Ancient City and Nanqiao area.

Dujiangyan is a great water conservancy project built in ancient times that still benefits mankind today. It is known as the "ancestor of the world's water conservancy culture." Yuzui diversion dike is one of the Dujiangyan system projects.

It takes at least 3 hours to walk around Dujiangyan carefully. If you just take a quick tour, you may be able to do it in 2 hours (enter from the main gate, pass through Songmao Ancient Road, and exit from Xiguan). Many people walk across the Anlan Cable Bridge, and at most visit Qinyan Tower and Erwang Temple at the foot of the mountain, and then return the same way. It is estimated that they do not climb Qinyan Tower at all, and enter Erwang Temple to enjoy the scenery in detail. Qinyan Tower allows you to climb up and overlook Dujiangyan, which is very spectacular; Erwang Temple is simple and solemn, and is worth seeing.

We followed the guide map: ① South Bridge → ② Fulong Temple → ③ Feishayan → ④ Anlan Cable Bridge → ⑤ Qinyan Tower → ⑥ Erwang Temple → ⑦ West Gate → ⑧ Yulei Pass → ⑨ West Street → ⑩ South Street, and finally returned to the South Bridge, thus walking around Dujiangyan, it took 3.5 hours, and it was quite leisurely. ⑥ Erwang Temple → ⑦ West Gate → ⑧ Yulei Pass This section of the mountain road is the Songmao Ancient Road. It seems that the mountain is a bit high, but in fact, it is all relatively flat stone steps. Generally, there should be no big problem for the elderly. If you have passed the Anlan Cable Bridge, don't go back the same way, because I think the Songmao Ancient Road is only close. Exit "Yulei Pass" is the "Dujiangyan West Gate Ticket Office", and the Dujiangyan Scenic Area ends here. There is a sign not far away, we chose West Street, and the other road is to Chenghuang Temple. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk down the mountain to West Street, which is very close. West Street is a very distinctive street, which I think is more distinctive than South Street.

It's one of the must-see attractions in Chengdu. It's quite big inside and you can spend half a day there. The weather was cool when I went there. There were people selling cucumbers on the road, haha.

I suggest you do some homework before watching it, it is really shocking. Especially when you overlook Dujiangyan and the modern reservoir next to it from the Qinyan Tower, a poem suddenly popped up: "The past is more than a thousand years old."

By A big white sheep |

I was able to buy a special ticket with my Shanghai hukou. It is a tourist attraction with few people. You have to walk most of the way by yourself. There is no special scenery, but I just feel very relaxed walking leisurely inside. It is a good place for a leisurely walk.

This is the most recommended place to visit in Chengdu. We went there in a small group with 4 people and an Audi. The tour guide explained it in detail and clearly. We walked down the mountain directly, which was not tiring. We had lunch at Lanxiang Village at noon. It was super delicious. The bacon was marinated by the family. You must ask the boss for lean meat. The tour guide also took us to a small road with no one to take pictures. It was a very cost-effective day.

Worship the water at Dujiangyan. Going to Dujiangyan is to appreciate the wisdom of the ancients! Generally, you enter from Lidui Park. I entered from Chenghuang Temple, passed Yulei Pass, walked along Songmao Ancient Road, crossed the Anlan Cable Bridge, and went to Jingang Dike. Then I followed the Minjiang River to see the three major items. After crossing the cable bridge, there is Siyuan Hall on Jingang Dike, which explains the principles of the entire Dujiangyan. You can understand it and then go to see the three major items. These three are inevitable. If you are interested, you can go to Qinyan Tower before crossing the cable bridge to see the entire scenic area~

After seeing it, I finally understood why this scenic spot is so famous. You must first understand its history. It can be said that it is because of this Dujiangyan that the land of abundance is so fertile. The people of Sichuan should thank Li Bing.

Not bad, it's worth a visit, and you need a reliable tour guide to explain. After learning about the Dujiangyan project, I really have to sigh at the wisdom of the ancients. The scenery is also very good~~

The wonderful thing about the Dujiangyan Scenic Area lies in its design principles. It is strongly recommended to watch the engineering principle video before visiting, which is very helpful to appreciate the greatness of this water conservancy project built in the Warring States Period.

Authentic one-day tour for pure play. The order was placed the night before and we were picked up at the hotel that morning. The tour bus was very comfortable, the itinerary was very reasonable, the tour guide had a good attitude and the explanation was very thorough. There was no shopping throughout the trip. It was a one-day tour for pure play.

The scenic area has beautiful mountains and rivers and a strong Taoist style. You can appreciate the wisdom and super abilities of the ancients and feel the Taoist culture. It is especially suitable for bringing students here for entertaining and learning.

The staff of Dujiangyan Scenic Area asked me to turn around even if I asked more questions. I thought it was for some reason, but it seemed like they were trying to drive me away. I don't know who gave them the right to do this. I came all the way to Dujiangyan, and my mood instantly became bad.

By Martian User |

The scenic area is so huge that after seeing the main irrigation system, there is still a long circle to walk. There are many large and small temples on the road. Many of them are about to collapse after the earthquake and are under repair. I always want to find a chance to go and see them again.

When the scenery of Dujiangyan emerges from the history textbook, I think of the multiple-choice question "Li Bing Dujiangyan" that has been tested many times. When this great miracle that benefits future generations is presented before our eyes, the thousand-year-old weir is the result of one person's wisdom. This journey through the miracle allows you to fully appreciate the ancient weir style. The four-hour tour, from cloudy to sunny days, shows that the design here is very reasonable. For some people, this is just a dam, but I fell in love with Dujiangyan. After thousands of years and disasters, it is still there.

By Negative burning bag |

I strolled in the commercial street of Dujiangyan Scenic Area in the drizzle for a while.

I instantly felt what low prices are

At around nine o'clock, most stores were closed.

The 50-cent pork belly shop is still going strong.

The staff of Dujiangyan Scenic Area said that it would take more than 3 hours to complete the tour.

We finished in over an hour.

Here is a little tip from Shanghai people,

When buying tickets, Shanghai residents need to show their ID cards, and the ticket price is 20 yuan (normally 80 yuan).

I heard from the staff that it was built by the Shanghai government after an earthquake.

Very boring scenic spot. I didn't think about visiting Dujiangyan when I first came to Chengdu. This time I came with my family! Breakfast in the scenic area is so expensive, 6 dumplings for 15! You only need to buy a one-way ticket for the battery car, cross the bridge from Yuzui and go back along the opposite mountain temple.

By Young and sad 😐 |

It's quite fun, mainly to see the wisdom of the ancient people. If you go there, you will feel that the ancient people were really amazing. They could even think of such a water conservancy project. If it weren't for Li Bing and his son, there would be no land of abundance today.

By Freelancer |

It snowed heavily in Dujiangyan these days! Here is a panoramic photo of the ancient weir.

By Fat man who dreams of traveling |

Dujiangyan is a cultural landscape, and you still need a tour guide to explain this water conservancy project. In the summer, there will be a water release ceremony in the scenic area. The performance is grand. The locals respect water, and the water from one place feeds the people from all over the world.

As I walked along the way, I was amazed at the wisdom of the ancients. The tools and methods that are still used today really show that Li Bing is a genius. The three major projects of damless water diversion, 4:6 water division, 2:8 sand drainage, Yuzui, Feishayan, and Baopingkou, and the three treasures of water control are all amazing. The entire water conservancy project does not change nature, but conforms to nature and benefits mankind.

In the river, you can see the river water fault caused by the ground subsidence caused by the 2008 earthquake. It can withstand an 8.0 magnitude earthquake. The quality of the construction projects more than 2,000 years ago is more than a hundred times better than that of today!

Shanghai citizens can get half price tickets with ID cards, 45 yuan each. After watching the show, the gate was full of people. We waited quietly for a while at a distance, and only went in when there were fewer people. Go to the scene to see it. You have to feel such a great water conservancy project. To be honest, it is worth seeing.

It's a famous place, worth a visit. If you have time, come and have a look.

By Small claw wood |

The Dujiangyan Scenic Area is much larger than I had imagined. Although I only have a vague understanding of the great water conservancy project of Li Bing and his son, I frequently marveled at the wisdom and dedication of the ancients from various hearsays I heard.

Don’t miss Yuzui, Lidui, Feishayan and other places, just follow the signposts in the scenic area. I believe you will feel the same as I do when you hear the sound of rushing water.
