I came to the West Street city wall and walked up the wall. Due to my height, I could not see what was happening below. Walking all the way to the edge of the ancient city, you can see the Yulei Pavilion on the top of the mountain in the distance, facing the ancient city from afar.

Located on the north bank of Neijiang River, across the Nanqiao from Lidui, there are many restaurants and inns here, but they lack characteristics.

The urban area of ​​Dujiangyan is close to the Dujiangyan Scenic Area and the well-preserved ancient city of Guan County.

Walking on the street, you will encounter small vendors carrying poles selling tofu pudding. At this time, you must have a bowl of tender and refreshing tofu pudding. Whether you want salty or sweet depends on personal preference. Of course, you don’t have to worry if you have both, haha~

Guanxian Ancient City is actually a long commercial street, decorated in an antique style. The things sold inside are not much different from those in other cities. You can also eat some home-cooked dishes and snacks, and the prices are reasonable. But this commercial street is really very long for us who are pulling two large boxes. I walked a little fast at the end and felt exhausted. I was very angry all the way, and I cursed the black guide driver while walking. To be honest, from this moment on, all the good impressions of Sichuan people accumulated in Chengdu were ruined by Dujiangyan.

Guanxian Ancient City is known as "a place where you can enjoy the mountains and rivers and live your life". It attracts many tourists with its rich cultural heritage, unique local customs and romantic lifestyle. The bluestone roads, antique eaves and simple tiles seem to tell a thousand-year-old story. When night falls, you can hear the bells of the thousand-year-old horse caravans ringing on the West Street Ancient Road.

The Minjiang River, which flows through the Dujiangyan Irrigation Project, forms an elegant S-bend outside the ancient city of Guanxian. Sitting by the river, drinking a cup of authentic Qingcheng Piaoxue, watching the floating clouds of Yulei, and listening to the sound of the Minjiang River, you will feel comfortable, enjoyable, and free. You will feel that your whole soul has been baptized, and all the fame, wealth, gains and losses are nothing but clouds.

It would be a pity if you don't go to West Street when you visit Guanxian Ancient City. The ancient city has been the throat to Qiang and Tibetan since ancient times. With the passage of time, only a small section of the old city wall of Songmao Ancient Road remains, and the scene of merchants gathering in the past no longer exists, but it also leaves behind mottled traces of history.

The best thing is to stay overnight in a private house in the ancient city. It starts to drizzle, and you listen carefully to the sound of raindrops hitting the ancient window frames. It feels like raindrops falling on your heart, and every hair on your head is relieved. Everything is just a passing cloud.

Guanxian Ancient City is known for its "scenery within the city, city within the scenery, and half mountain and half city". It lives up to its reputation, and it has been in close contact with the thousand-year-old ancient weir.

The toilets in the scenic area are also ancient and quaint. I always think that as a tourist attraction, the layout and cleanliness of the toilets are also very important. The experience that the toilets bring to tourists is the most intuitive.

It even affects tourists' evaluation of the entire scenic area.

When I was visiting Guan County in Dujiangyan, I wondered if the county had been specially planned to build houses so new and neat. Later, the tour guide told me that Dujiangyan was also a severely affected area in the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake, and this is the rebuilt Guan County.

It is one of the national historical and cultural cities in China. It was originally named Guan County. It began in the Northern and Southern Dynasties period. Buildings with Ming and Qing architectural elements over 100 years old can be seen everywhere, highlighting the historical and cultural heritage of Guan County Ancient City.

The guesthouse must have disappeared. It is hard to see even real old houses on the street. They are basically imitations of ancient times. The ancient city is not big, but there is a small river. It is quite pleasant to walk along the river bank. It is best not to drive into the ancient city. The road is narrow and it is easy to get stuck... The ancient city is very close to the Lidui Park Express Railway Station. There are special snacks in the city. The street next to Nanqiao is very lively, with various seafood and river restaurants.

Guanxian Ancient City is right next to the Dujiangyan Scenic Area, but the ancient city has been renovated. I went there in winter, it was cold and there were no tourists. It felt quite depressed.

The new county town has a unique style. We had lunch in the county town.

Dujiangyan not only created a beautiful paradise where people can survive both floods and droughts, but also gave birth to an ancient city called Guanxian, which is as kind as water. The so-called Guanxian Ancient City is actually next to the Dujiangyan Scenic Area. It is just across the bridge from the gate. It is a commercial snack street in the style of an ancient city. There is an antique city tower at the entrance. If you have extra time to visit Dujiangyan, you can have some fun and eat. There are many kinds of snacks and the prices are reasonable.

The ancient city doesn't have much special features. The only thing that looks interesting is the roofs of old buildings that can be photographed on the Xuanhua Gate city wall.

Guanxian Ancient City is not big. It is adjacent to Yulei Mountain and Lidui in the west. Many ancient buildings have been rebuilt for tourism. The ancient city has a strong commercial atmosphere.

Guanxian Ancient City is only suitable for strolling. I don't think you can read anything ancient there. Maybe buying some souvenirs and eating some famous Chengdu snacks will be enough to visit this ancient city.

It's a literary town with a lot of food. For two of us foodies, it's enough for us to spend an afternoon here.

Guxian is very quiet in the morning, which is in sharp contrast to the evening.

Next to the Dujiangyan Scenic Area, just across the South Bridge, there is no entrance fee to Guanxian Ancient City. Now Guanxian Ancient City has been commercialized, with food and shopping everywhere, but you can still go and have a look. There are relatively few people in the ancient city, and the environment of Guanxian Ancient City is quite good, and the greening is also very good, with all kinds of beautiful flowers and plants everywhere.

The ancient city is not large. You can enter from Xuanhua Gate and then walk freely, and you can walk from the Night Beer Gallery to the entrance of the Nanqiao Dujiangyan Scenic Area.
