Yaowang Valley is a great place to admire and photograph magnolia flowers. Its altitude ranges from 1,400 to 2,000 meters. Despite a mere 600-meter drop, the magnolias' blooming times vary significantly. The highest area, the "Wild Mountain Flower Trail" (magnolia blossom phase 2), reaches peak bloom in mid-to-early April, while the lowest areas begin to gradually open from mid-March.

This scenic area is truly stunning. I'd seen magnolias many times before in photos, but I was still blown away by the sight. It was my first time seeing such a magnificent display of flowers and such magnificent, vibrant blossoms. Several trees in full bloom resembled a thousand pink paper cranes dancing in the wind, a truly stunning sight even surpassing the sight of Japanese cherry blossoms. Besides magnolias, the area also boasts shiba zakura (moss pinks), forsythia, and a Black Forest area with jungle flying squirrels and a suspension bridge, making it quite a scenic spot. During my Qingming visit, some of the flowers in the first section had already faded, but the second section was in full bloom. Staring at the vast pink "bouquet," devoid of a single green leaf, felt unreal, as if I were at the end of the world. I stared blankly for a long time, perhaps this is what they mean by "a glance that lasts a lifetime."

The blooming season is indeed beautiful. But there are also so many people! ! ! !

Yaowang Valley is located on Yaowang Mountain, on the border between Beichuan County, Mianyang City, and Jiangyou City. It lies within Beichuan territory, between Jiangyou and Beichuan. The area is rich in Chinese medicinal herbs, with centuries-old medicinal trees dotting the mountains. Legend has it that both Qi Bo, the founder of Chinese medicine, and Sun Simiao, the Medicine King, resided on the mountain for extended periods, collecting herbs and treating illnesses. This is how Yaowang Valley got its name. Mountain residents still maintain the custom of offering sacrifices to the Medicine King Bodhisattva.

It's a good place for taking photos, but there are too few scenic spots...

I almost got trapped there in 2015. It was such a mess, the memory is still fresh!

By HiPP Peppa Pig |

I went there in the first half of this year. It happened to be the dormant period of magnolia flowers, so I didn't see many flowers. There were only a few scattered ones, so I felt it was just average.

I went to Yaowang Valley to see the magnolia flowers. The magnolia flowers are very beautiful and can be fried and eaten. They taste very good.

It feels like a scenic spot that has not been built yet, with expensive tickets, poor attractions, and incomplete facilities. It is similar to a 2A scenic spot.

My visit to Yaowang Valley left me feeling deeply uneasy. In short, it can be summed up in one word: terrible! Two words: scam! A rip-off! Three words: a complete rip-off! Where were all those flowers 🌸 they promised in the promotional videos? Where were the flowers 🌸 all over the mountains? Was this the only tree in bloom? I was on a business trip in Jiangyou and stopped by a travel agency. They said these were the best days for flower viewing in Yaowang Valley. So, excitedly, I took a taxi with my friends. The entrance fee was a rip-off: 90 yuan, plus another 90 yuan for the round-trip cable car, for a total of 180 yuan. We took the cable car up with high expectations, but as soon as we exited the transfer station, we were stunned! It was so filthy and messy! My heart sank! How could this even be considered a 4A-rated scenic spot?! It was a complete rip-off! There must be something fishy going on. Are the scenic area rating agencies blind? How can a place like this be considered 4A?! It's not even an A! The bummer is that there's no one-stop service. You have to walk up a steep slope from the cable car station to the sightseeing bus transfer point. We finally made it to the bus transfer point, which cost 60 yuan per person. Since we were pressed for time, we decided to go directly to Area 2 to see the flowers. The ticket girl told us that the flowers in Area 1 were already withering, but there were still plenty in Area 2. But!! After all the hard work to get to the supposedly blooming center of Area 2, there was only one large tree in full bloom!! Oh my god! We spent hundreds of yuan just to see this one tree?! What a bummer! Absolutely bummer! It's not the worst, it's always worse!! This is the least worthwhile attraction I've ever visited!! This is blatant deception!! There are no flowers, and you say you're talking about the Magnolia Flower Festival?! How dare you say it's from March to early May? Did everyone's money just blow away by the wind? You're deceiving someone, don't you know that word of mouth is the key? A tour bus ride is pointless. But the money's already been spent, and it's too late to regret! The only thing I found unique about this place was the delicious snack made with fried magnolia flower petals. It's unique and feels good. I'll never return to this place again, and I don't recommend it to anyone. If you want to see the flowers, just look at the pictures of the magnolia flowers! This is truly a scenic spot that's hyped up to be much better than it actually is. It just goes to show how powerful the publicity is and how well-crafted the copywriting is. The most disappointing thing is that the people at the scenic spot don't tell the truth. If you don't have flowers, then there are no flowers. Honestly, if the flowers wilted, then we wouldn't have entered with such high hopes and expectations, and we wouldn't have been so disappointed later! This is my least favorite scenic spot!! Barely one!!

It's expensive and a rip-off. I went there in October and there was nothing to see. There was a building under construction in the scenic area, and the construction site was right inside. It was a very bad experience.

The natural scenery is so-so, and the artificial traces are too obvious. Because it is close to Jiuhuang Mountain, I came here by the way. But I found that the cable car is even worse than Jiuhuang Mountain.

Yaowang Valley is located on Yaowang Mountain, bordering Beichuan Qiang Autonomous County, Mianyang City, and Jiangyou City. Its altitude ranges from 1,400 to 2,000 meters, and the resort area covers approximately 10 square kilometers. Located close to the eastern Ninth Ring Road (Jiangyou-Pingwu), Yaowang Valley is 23 kilometers from Jiangyou, the hometown of Li Bai, 64 kilometers from Mianyang City, and 166 kilometers from Chengdu City.

The area where Yaowang Valley is located is rich in Chinese medicinal materials, and the mountains and forests are full of century-old medicinal trees. According to legend, the ancestor of Chinese medicine, Qibo, and the King of Medicine Sun Simiao both lived in this mountain for a long time to collect herbs and treat diseases. The residents of the mountain have always had the custom of worshipping the Medicine King Bodhisattva, and Yaowang Valley got its name from this.

Yaowang Valley is the first AAAA-level mountain tourist resort in China and even in the world with the theme of health conditioning based on traditional Chinese medicine, a national forest park, a national geological park, the best park for China's cultural and creative industries, and one of the top ten most beautiful flower viewing spots in Sichuan.

The magnolia flowers are very beautiful when they bloom. The air on the mountain is fresh. It rained a little at the beginning of the day I went there. The mountains were shrouded in clouds and mist, which was very beautiful.

By jzg888 |

Yaowang Valley lives up to its name. The mountain is filled with medicinal herbs. Although the two weeks of magnolia bloom have passed, other flowers still bloom, creating a breathtaking sea of flowers. The magnolia blooms are short-lived, lasting only about ten days, making it a perfect time to see the flowers during the Qingming Festival. However, a rainy day caused all the flowers to fall, leaving only the leaves to be seen. At the summit stands the Yaowang Buddha, a truly remarkable sight. The scenery is breathtaking, with a long stone staircase; those less confident can simply look down. After reaching the summit, you can take a 21-person slide down, which is longer and steeper than I've taken before, but it was quite fun. There are also telescopes at the summit, and WeChat Pay is accepted. We visited in spring, just as bamboo shoots were emerging. They were tender and tender, and they were sold along the way for five yuan per pound. On the way to the summit, there's a free outdoor training camp at Dingqing Valley. It's quite exciting, but a bit dangerous for children. Exercise caution. Snacks include potatoes and hot and sour noodles, with bamboo shoots and a wild vegetable called goose feet plate added in. It's quite unique, but the price is high, ten yuan a bowl. I was very satisfied with the experience.

The magnolia flowers are quite beautiful and you must go there in spring.

After descending Wujiahoushan, we stayed in Yaowang Valley and explored the scenic area the next day. Yaowang Valley boasts many man-made attractions. For those who simply want to enjoy the flowers, I recommend taking a sightseeing bus directly to the second magnolia flower area (the full ticket is NT$50, though you can purchase tickets at each stop, but I recommend it). The second area features a winding mountain path, where magnolia flowers bloom brilliantly along the roadside or dot the hillsides, creating a truly beautiful scene. After enjoying the flowers, you can explore the Black Forest Trail, a tranquil and pleasant short walk. Hikers can also skip the bus and hike the mountain path, but I highly recommend the descent from Wujiahoushan for even more unique and natural scenery. I think a half-day is sufficient for exploring Yaowang Valley. You can arrive in the afternoon on the first day, explore the surroundings around the hotel, and then spend half a day exploring the scenic area on the second day. Alternatively, you can visit the area directly on the first day and return early the next morning. The advantage of Yaowang Valley over Wujiahoushan is that it is more convenient to get to and has more exquisite scenery (but it also lacks some freedom and laxity, depending on your preference). That’s all I have to say about Yaowang Valley, I hope it helps.

By You are irreplaceable in my life |

We went there on April 8th. It rained heavily on the night of the 7th. I was awakened by thunder. I drowsily asked my husband how we could see the magnolia flowers tomorrow if it was raining. He said we'd wait until daybreak, but when we woke up, the sun was out. We quickly washed, packed, and headed out. A bus to Beichuan runs across from the Third Hospital. It only costs 6 yuan per person to get to Yaowang Valley, and the ride takes half an hour. We got off at the Yaowang Valley Visitor Center, about a kilometer from the cable car station, so we opted for a bus up the mountain. The scenic area's sightseeing bus costs 20 yuan one way and 40 yuan round trip. There are many private cars at the foot of the mountain, offering rides for 15 yuan per person and on-demand service, making it more convenient than the sightseeing bus. We took a private car up the mountain, but the road is winding, so please be careful when driving. We arrived at the scenic area around 10:00 AM. Tickets bought on Fliggy the day before were 62 yuan each, but we had forgotten how much they cost, so we bought them at the entrance for 90 yuan. There's a parking lot just after entering the scenic area, and private cars can drive into the area, but parking is limited, and I think it costs 10 yuan per day. We visited just as the magnolia flowers were in full bloom, and we were surrounded by a sea of blossoms. The pinks resembled rosy clouds, the whites resembled clouds, and combined with the blue sky and sunshine, my cousin said it had a cartoon-like feel. It was truly beautiful. Along the roadside, there were various Chinese herbal remedies and snacks made with magnolia flowers. I bought a plate of fried magnolia flowers, which my cousin and husband found quite good, but I found them just average. Magnolia flowers are used medicinally, and are effective for colds and rhinitis. The magnolia flowers are concentrated around the Magnolia Villa, but disappear a little further towards the Medicine Buddha. Along the way to the Medicine Buddha, there are many cherry blossom trees planted along the road. The temperature is low on the mountain, and the cherry blossoms have just formed buds, so it will take some time for them to bloom. The Medicine Buddha is at the top of the mountain. My cousin and I counted the long steps, which amounted to exactly 350. The steepness of the steps makes the climb quite tiring. At the summit, someone will offer incense for you. The incense is free, and the merit is voluntary. If you donate, you'll receive a red ribbon and a reminder to write your name in a small shed nearby. You can choose to go or not. If you go in, they'll hold your hand and say some nonsense, then ask you to donate money for incense and candles. My cousin donated, tied a red ribbon, and left, ignoring the shouts from the people in the shed. I went in, listened for a while, and donated another 100 yuan. The view from the top is great, with far-reaching views. There are two telescopes that accept Alipay and WeChat payments, and it seems to be three yuan per minute! There's a slide next to it for 20 yuan per person. I really wanted to try it, but my cousin was afraid, so we had to go down the stairs. Be careful when going down the stairs, as they are quite steep and your legs will tremble easily, so be careful not to fall. From the Medicine Buddha, walk down to the Dingqing Valley, the Hiding Soldiers Cave, and other attractions. Going up past the Hiding Soldiers Cave, you'll reach the Stone Forest. A little further around, you'll reach the scenic entrance and then descend back to the city. Back in the city, I took a private car to the foot of the mountain and waited for buses from Beichuan or Pingwu to Jiangyou and Mianyang. I was lucky enough to catch the morning bus back to the city, but when I got back, I was told it was 7 yuan per person and got off across from the Third Hospital. I was a little confused about the fare. Leaving at 9 a.m. and returning at 5 p.m. was a good time, and the only expenses I spent were on tickets, transportation, and snacks, making it a perfect weekend outing.

Yaowang Valley is too bad, there are no flowers, the peony flowers are not available, the tickets are a scam, and the car is not convenient. The publicity at the door is completely different from the actual situation. One word "bad" and two words "waste"... The so-called sea of flowers has now been turned into a house. It seems that it will be closed in the future. It is a place that you will never come back to after visiting once.

The Yaowang Valley Scenic Area's investors are still in the process of further development. While development at the mountain entrance is largely complete, other attractions still require further development. With only one operator operating the area, the dining and accommodation options are relatively limited, leaving visitors with limited options. The restaurant menu is particularly lacking for smaller groups of individual travelers. Given the scenic area's current operating facilities, it's not yet a suitable tourist destination.

It was raining and foggy when we went there. The scenery was nice, but most of the flowers had not yet bloomed. It would have been better if we went a month later. The supporting facilities in the scenic area were okay, and the scenic area has been maturely developed, so it should be a good place to escape the heat in the summer.

I just went to Yaowang Valley today, March 10th. The Wujiahou Mountain I went to last year was really free. Today, I took a taxi all the way to Yaowang Valley to see the magnolia flowers for free. In the end, the entrance fee and the special scenic area bus were 100 yuan. It seems that the cable car is more expensive. Wujiahou Mountain is still great, and the mountains and fields are not full these days. It should be good to wait until April Qingming Festival.

It's not very large and can be completed in a day. We headed towards the Medicine Buddha statue. The scenery along the way was beautiful, with many unfamiliar medicinal herbs and a medicinal forest. The air was fresh, and I occasionally saw earthworms blocking the path. Every time I saw one, I couldn't help but scream. I've been afraid of them since I was a child, and the ones in Medicine King Valley are particularly stout. It's a pity that we didn't go to the Black Forest, which would have been a perfect photo spot. We stopped and walked along the way, taking in all sorts of interesting places. However, Medicine King Valley is most famous for its magnolia flowers, and their peak beauty is when they bloom. During the blooming season, the crowds are incredibly large on weekends, so I've never had the chance to see them in full bloom. However, it's also a great place to escape the summer heat, with the temperatures being just right. Even if you're outdoors at night, you'll need to wear a sweater.

The Yaowang Valley Scenic Area in Mianyang is quite famous in Sichuan. Many of the flowers and plants in Yaowang Valley are valuable Chinese medicinal materials, and are also the raw materials for many Western medicines. Therefore, Yaowang Valley is very valuable and meaningful.

Yaowang Valley covers a very large area. March to November every year is the best time to visit Yaowang Valley to see flowers. Different flowers bloom in each season, and the most beautiful ones are the magnolia flowers from March to April every year.

When the magnolia flowers bloom, Yaowang Valley is in its peak season. The mountains and fields are full of red flowers, and the scenery is very beautiful, so there are many tourists.

Yaowang Valley has convenient transportation. Buses can go directly to the outside of the Yaowang Valley scenic area. There are many farmhouses outside the scenic area that can provide accommodation and meals. The conditions are good and the prices are quite reasonable.

Next March, let’s meet at Yaowang Valley and see the magnolia flowers blooming all over the mountain. . .

The temperature in Yaowang Valley is lower than in the plains, so the magnolia blooms later. I didn't even get to see the 90 yuan ticket back. It was totally worth it. There were so many private cars on the road, and they parked haphazardly. It completely blocked access to the scenic area. There were only a few magnolia flowers, nothing much to see. I never want to go back! I wouldn't recommend it to any friends either.

The scenery is most beautiful when the flowers are in bloom. Take the cable car up the mountain, through the stone maze, across the high suspension bridge, and admire the brilliant sea of flowers.

I don't know if the Medicine King Sun Simiao lived here before, but there is a statue of him on the top of the mountain, which is very large.

It's located on a high mountain. You can drive up or take a cable car. The main attraction is the magnolia flowers. The food at the restaurant is average, so I recommend taking the scenic area bus. The route is winding and steep, so many cars can't make it up.

I went there at the end of March. It was very beautiful. Magnolia flowers were in bloom. Magnolia flowers and purple magnolia flowers. Tickets were 90 yuan.

I've been there before, and the best way to take photos is when the weather is good. It's worth a trip.

Tickets are quite expensive at 90 yuan each. There's also a cave attraction for an additional fee. The value isn't great. The mountain is vast and poorly signposted, so many people get lost. The entire hike is at least 20-30 kilometers, which is quite tiring. But the scenery is nice.

It's especially good to go when the flowers are in bloom. The ticket price is a little bit expensive. Magnolia is the magnolia. The purple magnolia is really beautiful when it is all over the mountains. It's like a fairyland.

The blooming season is so beautiful, it is worth a visit, but you need to pay for the ticket. But it is good to go when there is a discount.

It's very pleasant and relaxing to walk around in a place with not many people. After all, I didn't come here for the purpose, but I felt good just passing by.

When the flowers bloom in spring, you'll feel like you're in Japan. The magnolia flowers are incredibly beautiful, and it's a great way to soak in the hot springs and enjoy the view.

By Drifting in the wind |

If you are in Mianyang, you can go there on duty, but if you come here specially, it is really not necessary, it is just average.
