Panda Lake Waterfall

熊猫海瀑布

Jiuzhaigou's Panda Lake Waterfall, at 80 meters high, is renowned for its sheer height and boasts the largest drop of any waterfall in Jiuzhaigou. Visitors walk from the trestle bridge on the north side of Panda Lake to its end and descend a steep staircase. They'll see a waterfall on the right, cascading from beneath the trestle bridge to the mouth of Panda Lake, plunging into the deep valley. This waterfall is further divided into several sections by the protruding rock faces and boulders below the cliff, creating a continuous cascade. This waterfall is Panda Lake Waterfall.
Looking down from the top of the waterfall on the plank ladder, it feels like standing in the clouds. This cascade of water, plunging down into the deep valley, converges into a powerful torrent, which roars along the riverbed at the bottom with a mighty roar, like a galloping horse. Below the plank ladder, a gently sloping plank path descends, running alongside the rapids. Walking along this quiet path, one can admire the majestic rapids, the contrast between the vibrant mountains and the still waters.
The plank road is dotted with pavilions designed for viewing and resting, most of which have the charm of mountain and forest countryside. From here, you enter a secluded forest and go all the way to the mouth of Wuhua Lake. This is called the Secluded Forest Plank Road.

Jiuzhaigou's Panda Lake Waterfall, rising 80 meters, is renowned for its sheer height and boasts the highest drop of any waterfall in the region. Panda Lake Waterfall is seasonal, freezing completely in winter when the flow stops, creating a stunning icefall. Enjoy the dramatic contrast between the majestic rapids and the tranquility of the mountains. The three cascading waterfalls are truly spectacular. Below the plank stairs, a gently sloping plank path leads down along the rapids. Walking along this tranquil path, you can admire the majestic rapids and the stark contrast between the serene mountains and the still water.

When I went there in winter, part of it was frozen, which was very beautiful and had a unique feeling.

By Jingjing |

Walking down the steep plank road on the side, you can feel the magnificent scenery of the waterfall plunging three thousand feet. Especially as you get closer to the waterfall, the cool water vapor on your face is more comfortable than spraying your face with a moisturizing spray. Many people, like me, stop and close their eyes to let their faces have an intimate contact with the water mist.

By narcisssust |

The plank road is built along the waterfall. Walking down, you can admire the momentum of the waterfall cascading down beside you. Although the scenic area is crowded, it is not so crowded that people cannot walk. It is still very good.

The Panda Lake waterfall is not very big, but it has a unique and exquisite quality that makes people savor it carefully. This waterfall is the one in Journey to the West. It is very beautiful. The water source and the surrounding environment are well protected. It is definitely a place worth visiting.

The Panda Lake Waterfall was dry when I visited it in August during the rainy season. There was hardly a drop of water, only ancient trees. It is the only way to walk from Panda Lake to Wuhua Lake. The drop is huge, but fortunately it is downhill.

If you're traveling by car, I wouldn't recommend going down specifically to see it. If you're walking along the plank road, you'll have to pass by it anyway. During the fresh water season, it's completely dry. We didn't see a single drop of water.

But if there is a lot of water, it should be pretty good. The drop is huge and it must be spectacular.

The Panda Sea Waterfall has a large drop and a fast flow. In the afternoon, the light just shines down from the top of the waterfall, making it look like a fairyland.

Panda Lake Waterfall is said to be 80 meters high, the highest drop among all the waterfalls in Jiuzhaigou. But why did I see rows of small waterfalls? Did I go to the wrong place? Just looking at these rows of small waterfalls is beautiful enough. Maybe this is a smaller version of Panda Lake Waterfall in Jiuzhaigou, haha.

The Panda Lake Waterfall has a dramatic drop, and the steepest staircase path in Jiuzhaigou leads to the Five Flower Lake, a truly impressive sight. As soon as I approached, I was greeted by mist, which immediately blurred my camera. Furthermore, the canyon is narrow and crowded, making it impossible to find a good spot for framing. The path near the waterfall is slippery and steep, so be careful. I'm sure you won't be able to walk fast, so being able to move is a plus. Once I reached a less crowded area, out of the mist, the path wound around the mountain, obscuring the view and making it impossible to take photos.

The Panda Sea Waterfall has three cascades and is the waterfall with the largest drop among the four waterfalls in Jiuzhaigou. Be careful when walking down the Panda Sea Waterfall plank road! Most of the time, the steep plank road is quite slippery. It is best to hold on to the wooden handrails on both sides, especially for tourists with elderly people and children. Safety is the first priority. The mist formed by the waterfall is very large. After taking pictures, continue to walk down. You can't stay for long. After taking pictures, you feel that you have to walk.

Walk to the end of the viewing platform on the north side of Panda Lake, and go down a steep staircase. You can see a waterfall on the right side rushing down to the bottom of the valley. In the middle of the waterfall, it is cut into several sections by the protruding rock walls and boulders under the cliff. As a result, several cascading waterfalls are formed in one go, which is extremely spectacular.

It was raining when we went there that day, and the water was very heavy. It was beautiful to take pictures from the bottom up, but unfortunately there was no suitable position to take portraits.

In fact, after getting off the bus at Panda Sea, there is a long plank road on the opposite side. If you go down from there, you can see the panoramic view of Panda Sea Waterfall from a low place. At that time, the weather was not good, so I did not continue to walk down and concentrated on looking at Panda Sea.

By Yafu |

The Panda Sea Waterfall cannot be called spectacular, it can only be described as small and delicate, like a gurgling stream. Among the aquatic bushes, the streams are gurgling and flowing continuously. It is like walking among the beautiful garden streams. It is very pleasant to walk through the middle!

A waterfall hurls down from Panda Lake into a deep valley, and is cut into several sections by the protruding rock walls and boulders under the cliff, forming several cascading waterfalls in one go.

Panda Lake Waterfall is the largest waterfall in Jiuzhaigou, boasting three cascading tiers that create a truly spectacular spectacle. As the waterfall cascades down the first cliff face, it's blocked by boulders on the second tier. As it converges, it cascades down again, its width shrinking dramatically. The snow-white water rushes down, creating a high splash right beside the plank road.

The scenery is nice, there are many trees, the pandas are very cute, and there are free-range red pandas walking around. It is especially good to take children there, but you have to go early so that there are fewer people. If you go late, it will be too hot and the pandas will go back.

It is the largest waterfall in Jiuzhaigou, with a width of 50 meters and a three-level drop of 65 meters. It is a spectacular sight, with a strong momentum like a rainbow. The mist from the waterfall is huge and there are many tourists. It is very spectacular. You will know it when you go there.

Panda Sea Waterfall Comments: The waterfalls in Jiuzhaigou are all unique and beautiful!

By Dadangdang |

I personally think the waterfalls in Jiuzhaigou are all pretty much the same, but I couldn't resist visiting every one of them. The sheer majesty of the waterfalls truly allows you to experience the beauty of nature. The first waterfall we visited was Jianzhuhai Waterfall, which was quite far away so I didn't really feel much. The second waterfall, Pandahai Waterfall, was completely different. It's quite large, and you can stand right in front of it and see it up close, feeling the cool water splashing down on you.

Standing on the plank stairs, looking down from the summit of Pandahai Waterfall, it feels like standing in the clouds. This cascade of water, plunging down the deep ravine, converges into a powerful torrent, which roars along the valley floor with a mighty roar, like a galloping horse. The first waterfall I saw was Panda Waterfall. It's said to be the highest in Jiuzhaigou, reaching a height of 80 meters and renowned for its sheer height and cascading water. Walk from the trestle bridge on the north side of Panda Lake to the end and descend the steep steps. You'll see a waterfall on the right, cascading down from the trestle bridge to the mouth of Panda Lake, plunging into the deep valley. This waterfall is further divided into several sections by the protruding rock faces and boulders below the cliff, creating a series of cascading waterfalls. Standing on the steps and looking down from the top of the waterfall, it feels like standing in the clouds. This cascade into a powerful torrent that roars down the valley floor, its forceful roar resembling a galloping horse. Walking along the quiet plank path, you can admire the majestic rapids, the contrast between the vibrant mountains and the tranquil waters. However, a word of caution: be careful on slippery ground and steep steps, so be careful. Also, there's a constant flow of people, and most people are being pushed.

Panda Lake is located just downhill from Jianzhu Lake. Giant pandas are considered auspicious creatures and are deeply loved by the Tibetans of Jiuzhaigou. It's said that Jiuzhaigou's giant pandas love to come here to wander, drink, and forage, hence the name Panda Lake.

By There is no end in sight |

A frozen waterfall at the bottom of Panda Lake. The plank path leading down has also been sealed by the scenic area management bureau. Due to winter fire prevention measures, many plank paths are closed to tourists.

The Panda Lake Waterfall is not as majestic as the Nuorilang Waterfall. In comparison, it appears more gentle and docile.
