Ruoergai Grassland

The author of this post, who has been to Hulunbuir twice, came to Ruoergai with the feeling that there was no grassland after returning from Inner Mongolia. Ruoergai responded with the vast grassland and the winding and beautiful wetland temperament with lush water and grass.



Because of the abundant water vapor, the grasslands here are more beautiful than those in Inner Mongolia. There are streams winding across the open grasslands, and the water surface reflects the sapphire blue of the sky.

 

A large group of yaks moved slowly, bringing life to this giant screen. The farther you look, the broader your mind will be. The children of the grassland will probably never be depressed.



Personally, I feel that the Rele Dam Grassland is an area with a relatively strong "commercial atmosphere".



For example, there are many self-made viewing platforms on the roadside, with large signs in size 1 that say "free parking". If you don't spend a hundred or two hundred dollars on horseback riding, you will be charged for parking when you leave. The owner pats you on the shoulder, takes you to the sign and says, "See, we have clearly marked prices."

The beauty of Hulunbuir grassland is well known, and it is the grassland in many people's dreams. However, except for hardcore hikers, many people don't know that there is another beautiful grassland on the northwest Sichuan plateau that challenges Hulunbuir. The beauty of heaven and earth is beyond words.

I first learned about the Ruoergai Grassland from the elementary school textbooks that described the hardships of the Red Army’s Long March. Crossing the snow-capped mountains and passing through the grasslands refers to this place.

Ruoergai is beautiful in autumn, with clear skies and endless golden fields. In fact, Ruoergai Grassland cannot be considered a tourist attraction. All grasslands along the way belong to Ruoergai Grassland.

In July and August, the Ruoergai grasslands are covered with swaying wild flowers under the azure and vast sky, and the reflection of the lake in the wetland is dotted with brilliant colors.

If you like lush greenery and blooming flowers, we recommend that you go there in summer; if you like the golden tones of autumn, the grassland scenery in autumn will not disappoint you.



There are countless small lakes dotted among the grasslands. The water is crystal blue. Small rivers connect the lakes of all sizes like vines. The water is so clear that you can see the bottom and you can even count the fish swimming around.

The Ruoergai Prairie (Ruoergai Wetland), also known as the Reer Prairie, is a very large prairie, the second largest prairie in China after the Hulunbuir Prairie. It does not refer to a piece of grassland in Ruoergai County, but includes Ruoergai County, Hongyuan County, Aba County, Songpan County, and parts of the neighboring Gansu Province and Qinghai Province.



Compared with the low-altitude areas in the central and eastern parts of my country, it is a plateau, while compared with the Minshan Mountains to the east, the Qionglai Mountains to the south, the Guoluo Mountains, the Animaqing Mountains, the Xiqing Mountains to the west, and the West Qinling Mountains to the north, it is surrounded by mountains and is a basin on the plateau. Its altitude is between 3,300 and 3,600 meters, and it is also called the Songpan Plateau.

The Ruoergai Grassland cannot be considered a tourist attraction. All the grasslands along the way belong to the Ruoergai Grassland.

In the north of Aba Prefecture is the largest grassland in Sichuan and the second largest grassland in China after Hulunbuir Grassland. There is a pure blue sky, green grassland, and the magnificent sight of cattle and sheep in the wind blowing the grass. This is Ruoergai.

The most beautiful part of Sichuan is western Sichuan, and the most beautiful part of western Sichuan is Aba. The beauty of Aba lies in the magnificent scenery of water and mountains, the brilliant ethnic customs, and the mysterious and sacred religious culture.

To go to Aba, you must first go to Ruoergai, because this is the snowy plateau closest to the mainland, where you can feel the true Tibetan customs, known as the paradise in the clouds, and has the flattest and most vast wetland grassland in China.

As long as the weather is clear, the prairie is particularly beautiful. Any photo you take is a great one. Huahu Lake is a scenic spot in Ruoergai Grassland. It is really super beautiful. My friends can't find words to describe it.

Driving on the prairie, the vast expanse of green and the boundless blue make people feel their own insignificance. Every stop and every glance is a choice made by chance. Whether it is a chance encounter with a beam of sunshine, a white cloud, a group of yaks, a bay of flowing water, or a reunion with tourists or an occasional encounter with herdsmen, it is all God's blessing.

When we were almost reaching Ruoergai County, we passed a grassy slope and saw a simple stone tablet standing tall, engraved with "The grassland where nine marshals walked". The grassland road we were driving on at this time may have overlapped with the footprints of the Red Army's three crossings of the grassland. The arduous trek back then has now become a grazing paradise and a tourist destination. This huge transformation should not be forgotten by future generations.

The county town of Ruoergai is in sight. Many cars passing by stop here, and many people gather under the stone tablet. The green grassland is full of cattle and sheep. Some people are picking flowers with cheerful steps, while others are quietly roasting whole lamb.

In the distance, prayer flags fluttered in the wind. Prayer flags are a common totem in Tibetan areas. Sutras are written on cloth or linen fabrics, and then inserted on mountain tops, intersections, riversides, etc. Their meaning is to use the power of nature to recite scriptures to ensure peace and good luck.

About Ruoergai Grassland,

Perhaps my favorite part of this trip to Gannan is the Ruoergai Grassland.

It was cloudy all the way from Ruoergai to Tangke. As we walked, we discovered what a magical view it was outside the car window! It was really beautiful.

When we arrived at Tangke Town, we could see dark clouds pouring down in front of us. We even joked that when it rains on the grassland, clouds also come with it. As soon as we checked in at the hotel, it started to rain on our side, with hail hitting the windows. We could see the grassland directly from behind the window of our room, and the view was quite good.

Ruoergai grassland, the road is very wide, with grasslands on both sides. The grasslands in Sichuan are different from the grasslands in the north. They are not the kind of endless, with mountains and grasslands together, which has a more layered feeling. Along the way, the grasslands are still yellow-green, and there are yaks everywhere. Herders are grazing on horses, and the sky is vast and the wilderness is boundless.

Ruoergai Grassland, known as the "Emerald of Northwest Sichuan", is worth a visit!

The tent I stayed in Ruoergai was really cold at night. I was woken up by the cold in the early morning, but I was really satisfied when I woke up at night and saw the sky full of stars.

The sky is extremely blue, the endless Ruoergai grassland is matched with the rolling clouds on the top of the mountain in the distance. You can only appreciate its magnificence when you see it with your own eyes.

There are marmot holes everywhere at the exit, but the grassland can actually be considered a sea of ​​flowers. After all, the Gesang flowers are this color. If you don't pay attention, you might think it's the color of grass...

The grassland is so big that it is beyond our imagination. It stretches as far as the eye can see. Now is the peak season of Ruoergai grassland. Many tourists are riding horses and many grassland owners have opened farmhouses, playing music to attract tourists. White clouds float freely in the sky and yaks walk freely on the ground, embellishing the green "carpet".

Passing by the Ruoergai grassland, such gorgeous grassland is rare. The grassland has been contracted by herdsmen. You can play and take pictures as much as you want by paying five yuan. The grassland feels like an oil painting.

It is the grassland where the nine marshals passed through, the most difficult time of the 25,000-mile Long March, and the grassland swamps swallowed up so many lives. Let us cherish the happy life in front of us.

Because the weather was gloomy, we didn't go to Huahu Lake. We just went to the herdsmen's homestay on the roadside and rode horses. The price could be negotiated. The deeper you go into the grassland beside the road, the more flowers there are. It's very beautiful. But because of grazing, there are horse manure and cow manure everywhere in the grassland. It feels dirty.

There are more than 10 kinds of rare plateau wetland animals in the world, such as black-necked cranes and plateau fish, in the Ruoergai Reer Grassland. It is the main breeding habitat of the black-necked crane, a national first-class protected wild animal. On the grassland, seagulls fly and cranes dance, and the water and grass are lush. The weather was really good during the few days in Gannan. Every day was blue sky and white clouds. So the scenery is more beautiful than Qinghai Lake.

The transportation is not well developed, the road conditions are good, and self-driving is a better choice! The scenery in the early morning and afternoon is particularly lamentable! Make a cup of tea and enjoy it slowly! The price of horseback riding here is cheaper than other places.

Reer Dam is the second largest grassland in my country after Hulunbuir Grassland, with an altitude of 3,468 meters. In Tibetan, "Re" refers to a sutra called "Re" and "Er" refers to troops. When the Tubo Kingdom conquered this place, it recited a sutra called "Re" before sending troops, so it was named "Reer". There are three adjacent lakes on Reer Dam, the smallest one is called Coergan, the largest one is called Coreha, and Huahu is the middle one.

The scenery of Huahu Lake is very beautiful in all four seasons, but the most beautiful season is undoubtedly summer when flowers are in full bloom.

This trip would pass through the Norgai grassland where the Red Army passed during the Long March, so I told my family that I was going to follow the Long March route. As a result, we actually went through a lot of hardships to cross the Norgai grassland.

There are two roads leading to Tangke from Zhagana, both of which pass through the Norgay grassland, so we chose the one recommended by the navigation. When we got in, we found that the road was very bad, so we asked a Tibetan driver who was driving the car in front of us, and he told us that the road ahead was under construction, and there were 20 kilometers of bad roads and there was actually only this road to Tangke. When we got in, we found that this road of about 100 kilometers was under construction the entire way! The road surface was dug up and full of large and small potholes. When we encountered deep ruts pressed by construction vehicles, we had to get off the car to reduce weight and show the driver the way. It was a pity for the new Toyota off-road. Although the road was bumpy, it did not affect our viewing of the scenery. We caught every detail in the car and made fun of ourselves, and everyone laughed so hard (the car was shaking). This is the charm of the journey. You never know what will happen next. Don't complain, just accept it, and then face it bravely and enjoy it...

It was already nine o'clock when we arrived at Tangke Town. The hotel owner told us that not long ago, seven people also asked Tibetans for directions, but were led to a bad road and knocked on his door at eleven o'clock at night! I was speechless! The Tibetans we met before were surprisingly simple and kind. Today...

A large grassland was full of various flowers. In the distance was the hills covered with green carpets. The beauty in fairy tales is just like this. Not only can you stand on the roadside to take pictures, there are herders nearby who charge for visits. This large pasture belongs to them. You can walk into the sea of ​​flowers for 5 yuan, but be careful of mudflats and puddles. You can ride horses on the grassland for 20 yuan. I think the herders' offer is still very generous. There are several other cars going to Tangke parked next to it. A man is urging his companions to move on, saying that there are better things ahead. In fact, I don't agree with it. Because we have done our homework in detail, we feel that it is very sufficient to watch the sunset on the Nine Bends of the Yellow River in Tangke, and some beautiful things may not have the opportunity to come back to experience them if they are missed, so we stayed here for more than 20 minutes. It is a little regrettable that I didn't let my wife ride a horse. Although I said it very well, I still thought that there would be a chance to ride a horse in Ruoergai tomorrow, but it turns out that some things, when you have the opportunity, it is better not to miss them. When the sunset turns red and falls towards the mountainside, the whole river valley is shrouded in a golden color, and the water and sky are the same color, and the floating light is golden. So, in order to live up to the beautiful scenery, bees must pay attention to the sunrise and sunset time. Of course, it is also good to choose to camp in summer. Many people will bring their own barbecue grills, kitchen utensils and other daily necessities to "settle down" temporarily. In the evening, if it does not rain, open the top of the tent and you can see the vast starry sky. I have to say that the starry sky in Hongyuan is really beautiful! Bees who are interested in cultural performances can choose to watch a Tibetan style performance. The interactive session is more interesting, and the enthusiasm of the children of the grassland will be contagious.

When the bus arrived, the view suddenly opened up. The scenery was so beautiful that I had never imagined!

I really want to ride a horse and gallop across the wilderness grassland, but docile horses and people always run slower.

Ruoergai is definitely worth a visit, especially in July every year, when the mountains are covered with small flowers; it’s just that I didn’t go there in the best season, September, a very awkward season, hahaha! It was a last-minute invitation from a friend, and it was hard to refuse!

The Ruoergai Reerba Grassland is located on National Highway 213 between Ruoergai, Sichuan and Langmusi, Gansu. Reerba is the second largest grassland in my country after Hulunbuir Grassland, with an altitude of 3,468 meters. The classic time for Huahu Lake is in May and June, when the lakeside is colorful, like clouds and mist, and the lake is full of gorgeous flowers like water monsters.

It costs 500 yuan to go from Huanglong Airport to Ruoergai Prairie for a tour and then send to the hotel near Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area. I think it is too expensive, but because it is a large business car and the three foreigners are very excited, I can't say anything, so I went to Ruoergai Prairie again temporarily. When we arrived at the herdsmen's area, it started to blow. I negotiated with the boss of the herdsmen's area for a total of 1,000 yuan for horse riding + roasted lamb legs + yak hot pot, which is free until you are full. First, we rode horses, which should not be called riding horses but walking horses. After riding a horse for a short walk, it started to rain, so we went home.

It was raining, and I was sitting in the yurt drinking milk tea and eating freshly roasted lamb legs and steaming beef hot pot. At that moment, I really forgot where I was... Maybe this is the meaning of travel.

I went there twice, and each time I felt different and my mind became more open.

Due to the vast natural scenery, parts of the national highway have very poor road conditions.

It is definitely worth a visit. It will make you forget all your worries and make you happy physically and mentally.

If you go to the grassland, the Ruoergai grassland is a must. The plateau has a changeable climate and you can see many different climates in one day. While enjoying the beautiful scenery, pay attention to sun protection and keep warm. In summer, flowers bloom, clouds cast mottled shadows on the grassland, and horses, cattle and sheep graze leisurely, which makes people relax.

The pearl of the plateau, the lakes and rivers of the grassland are really nice. Yaks are everywhere in the mountains, be careful of Tibetan mastiffs!
