Sparkling Lake

The lake is 2,187 meters above sea level, 205 meters long, 177.33 meters wide, 9.66 meters deep, and covers an area of 36,352.6 square meters. It was formed by a debris flow. During the wet season, when the sun rises or sets, the slanting sunlight on the lake surface creates a shimmering, sparkling effect, resembling countless burning sparks. During the dry season, the water level drops, revealing golden, round travertine mounds that emerge from the water, resembling an archipelago in the ocean. Some call it "Thousand Island Lake."

Huohua Lake, also known as the Sparkling Pool, stands at an altitude of 2,187 meters and is nine meters deep. They say that after visiting Jiuzhaigou, you won’t want to see water. The most amazing thing about Jiuzhaigou is its water. When I reached Laohuhai, I believed it. When there is no wind, the water in Jiuzhaigou is as still as a mirror and full of colors.

Two words: beautiful. Blue sky, white clouds, green water. The reflection effect is also beautiful.

You may never see this place again, but I'm glad I visited it 15 years ago. It's heartbreaking to see such a beautiful view destroyed. There once was a small, exquisite green lake between Shuanglong Lake and Wolong Lake. Every morning, as the mist lifted and the dawn broke, the sunlight refracted, creating a scene of sparks flaring and shimmering, hence the name Sparkling Lake. Today, the water has drained away through the earthquake's fissures, leaving only a shattered layer of mud.

The lake is surrounded by dense forests, and the lake is hidden in the deep green, like a crystal clear emerald.

The scenery is pleasant, with green trees reflecting off the trees and natural beauty!

It was already afternoon when we arrived, and we didn't see the beauty of the sea of sparks, but I particularly liked the plank road that passed through the middle. The lake passed through the woods, and we could see the crystal-clear water up close, and even touch the water with our hands. I was amazed by the transparency of the water, and this flowing crystal made me extremely grateful to nature. Unfortunately, in the subsequent earthquake, the beautiful sea of sparks was severely damaged.

From the Jinghai bus stop, take the scenic bus to Shuzheng Village, then go down through Shuzheng Mill and Shuzheng Group Lake. During this section of the journey, the Sparkling Lake is the most beautiful.

The earthquake caused a breach in Sparkling Lake, draining all the water and causing its disappearance. However, a new attraction, the Shuanglonghai Waterfall, was created. Repairing Sparkling Lake would have been easy, simply by plugging the breach. However, after consulting with experts, the scenic area concluded that Jiuzhaigou, a natural product, should be left in its natural state without excessive human intervention.

If you pass by the bus, you'll miss the beautiful scenery.

Although I also arrived at the Sea of Sparks early in the morning, I didn’t see the scene described in the text. The sparks produced by the sun, maybe it wasn’t early enough, embarrassing.

The beauty of Sparkling Sea is beyond your expectation, with rich layers of colors. From Tiger Sea to Reed Sea, you must not take a car, but go down along the way to see Shuzheng Waterfall, Sparkling Sea, and Wolong Sea in turn. It is definitely a visual feast.

We walked along the plank road inside. Unlike the road outside, there are signs telling you what kind of sea it is. In the end, I was so tired of it that I couldn't tell which sea it was. Anyway, it was almost the same. However, the original meaning of Sparkling Sea is that the sunlight shines on the lake, sparkling like sparks. This effect is not something you can see if you want to. Anyway, we didn't encounter it.

Although it's the smallest waterfall in Jiuzhaigou, its cascading beauty amidst the lush greenery creates a uniquely exquisite and poetic atmosphere.

It's so beautiful! Every vantage point offers breathtaking views. I spent two days in the ditch and still haven't seen it all. I'll definitely go back when I have time.

The Sparkling Sea Pool is not big, but the surrounding plants are very good and it is very beautiful in autumn.

The hike was sparsely populated, allowing us to enjoy the scenery in peace and leisure—a truly delightful experience! The sun shone brightly along the way, the sky azure and white, new leaves dripping green, delicate flowers blooming, and the waters captivating. For us, the most breathtaking scene of this stretch was the Sparkling Sea. Old trees by the lake sprouted new buds, young leaves budded green, dead trees lay dormant, and small fish swam freely. The sun shone on the lake, creating shimmering waves like a thousand silver dots dancing across the surface—a breathtaking spectacle! Even the deserted plank road was beautiful in the sunlight. In this renowned scenic spot, it was truly a blessing to be able to enjoy the beauty of the landscape with a few friends, undisturbed by others.

The clear lake water is hidden among the trees, and the afternoon sunlight shines through the branches and leaves. Only one word comes to my mind: dazzling!
