Tiger Sea is not the highlight of the scenic area, so those who are short on time can skip it.

Tiger Lake is a relatively large lake. It is named Tiger Lake because the leaves on the mountain change color in autumn, alternating between yellow and green, and look like tiger stripes.

They say that after visiting Jiuzhaigou, you won’t want to see water. The most amazing thing about Jiuzhaigou is its water. When I reached Laohuhai, I believed it. When there is no wind, the water in Jiuzhaigou is as still as a mirror and full of colors.

By No. 77 |

If you want to see Shuzheng Waterfall and Shuzheng Qunhai, you have to get off at Laohuhai Station. Although I didn’t go there specifically to see it, it’s still pretty good.

By Big Bad Wolf |

The area is not very large. It is located above Shuzheng Waterfall. It is deep and quiet. There is violence hidden in the silence and unruly hidden in the tranquility.

By Zi Lin 1925 |

The first lake that amazed me was the lake itself. The water was so clear, so clear that it was a little creepy, and I couldn’t look at it for too long.

The sea in the ditch is similar. It is probably named after the tigers that once roamed there. In fact, you don’t have to stick to the name. The scenery is pleasant.

By Zhang Xixi |

This photo was taken by my cousin. It looks so fake. How can I be so tall? Hahahaha

The first place you stop upon entering the scenic area is the roar of the waterfall, like the roar of a tiger. Located 2,298 meters above sea level, above Shuzheng Waterfall, it is a place of profound tranquility, a fierceness hidden in its silence, a rebelliousness hidden in its tranquility.

There are many layers of colors here at Laohuhai. If it is autumn, the colors will be even richer. Jiuhangou is the most beautiful in late October.

By Stone as Pure as Pristine Jade |

The lake in Shuzhenggou is located upstream of the Shuzheng Lakes and downstream of the Shuzheng Waterfall. It looks quite deep. There are many sunken logs underwater. The deep blue water is very clear.

By heartbeat |

The water in this lake is incredibly blue. I think it's even bluer than the others! But it's pure blue—no other colors! Walking along the promenade, quietly breathing in the fresh air and listening to the sound of the water is truly beautiful. You can also sit down and enjoy it.

By Mu Ziying |

The water is beautiful. It is also crowded in the morning. If you go back in the afternoon, it will be much easier.

By Western Travels |

It is really beautiful. I think it is a place that cannot be missed. This is the bottom of the Y-shaped ditch in Jiuzhaigou.

Laohuhai is in Shuzhenggou. It is said that in the golden autumn of October, the leaves on the mountain change color, and the overall view is very beautiful.

Tiger Lake is located in Shuzhenggou in Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area, the next stop of Rhino Lake. There are also sightseeing buses parked here. The lake is very beautiful, but not very big. It is a place with relatively few people, but because of this, it is more peaceful!

By Hua Hongtai |

Green fades, yellow takes its moment, and red says: "I, too, have shown my beauty." Then all the flowers gather around the lake to compete for beauty.

The sapphire-like lake surface looks so deep, and its tranquility hides a wildness. At the end of the lake, the sound of the waterfall is as loud as a tiger's roar. This is the Tiger Lake.

Located 2,298 meters above sea level, Tiger Lake (Laohu Hai) lies above Shuzheng Waterfall. Deep and tranquil, its silence harbors a fierceness, its serenity conceals a rebellious spirit. It's named after the tigers that love to drink from this lake. Don't worry about encountering a large tiger; the plank road is protected by wire mesh to prevent large animals from entering the scenic area and to prevent rock slides. Jiuzhaigou's numerous lakes are all captivating, each one distinct from the next: blue water here, green below, easily distinguishable at a glance.

Located at an altitude of 2,298 meters above sea level, Tiger Lake in Jiuzhaigou Valley is situated above Shuzheng Waterfall. There are various theories as to why it got its name. One is that the thunderous roar of the nearby Shuzheng Waterfall is like a tiger's roar, hence the name Tiger Lake; the other is that in late autumn, the vibrant colors of the trees on the lakeside hills are reflected in the clear water, creating a variegated effect that resembles the stripes on a tiger's body, hence the name Tiger Lake; and the third is that the mountain tigers love to drink from this lake, hence the name Tiger Lake.

By Vivian |

Oh, if you have time and good physical strength, you should visit each of the lakes in Jiuzhaigou. Each has its own characteristics and no two lakes are alike.

By an |

Tiger Lake is relatively less famous, but this does not affect its beauty at all. Its colors are pure and it is quietly waiting for people to appreciate it.

By Cappuccino |

Tiger Lake is 2,298 meters above sea level, 310 meters long, 171-194 meters wide, 25 meters deep, and has a reservoir capacity of 1.1 million cubic meters. There are three theories as to why it got its name: one is that the nearby Shuzheng Waterfall makes a thunderous sound, resembling a tiger's roar; the second is that in late autumn, the vibrant colors of the trees on the lakeside hills are reflected in the clear water, creating a variegated effect that resembles the stripes on a tiger's body; and the third is that the mountain tigers love to drink from this lake. While the sound of the waterfall and the tiger's roar are not entirely consistent, and tigers are unlikely to drink here today, the ripples on the water do resemble tiger stripes.

There are many red leaves, blue-green water, yellow-green trees and red leaves, which are rich in color. It is also a good place to take pictures of the Milky Way at night. It is very close to Shuzheng Village.

The water in Jiuzhaigou is all similar in color, and I feel a little aesthetically fatigued when I see it.

We then walked to the plank road leading to Tiger Lake and began to admire the waters of Jiuzhaigou up close. The lake in Shuzhenggou was inevitably overshadowed by the lakes in the other two valleys, but since this was my first experience, Tiger Lake still surprised me.

We walked along the plank road at the foot of the mountain. It was very quiet along the way, and the color of the lake was also very beautiful. There were many calcified branches in the water, with unique shapes, which made for a lot of unexpectedly good photos.

A relatively large lake located in Shuzhenggou.

Although the water is also blue, it is not as transparent as the water in Wuhua Lake and Jinghai Lake.

What you see with your eyes is the mist, the beautiful scenery of lakes and mountains; what you hear with your ears is the sound of waterfalls, like the roar of a tiger.

It has the feel of an unruly tiger. A small lake surrounded by mountains has a sense of mystery compared to other lakes.

The lake is calm yet majestic, and the water is mainly blue, which is very beautiful.

The water is deep and the lake is calm, and you can see the bottom. It is inferior to other lakes in Jiuzhaigou.

By WhistlerLll |

Tiger Lake is quite beautiful, the water is crystal blue~~

By There are so many monsters |

It is obvious that the water was cut down when the road was built, and some soil was pushed into the lake. It was obviously caused by the later repair of the scenic area. But the good thing is that these did not affect the overall scenery of Tiger Lake too much. Of course, compared with Rhino Lake, I think Tiger Lake is much inferior.

After a satisfying meal at Nuorilang Waterfall, we set off on a hike through Shuzhenggou. We took a sightseeing bus to Laohuhai Lake and began our approximately one-hour hike. Shuzhenggou is the best place to enjoy the water in Jiuzhaigou. It's lined with streams, waterfalls, and lakes, and there's a plank path along the water's edge. The path is downhill, making for a relaxing walk. Laohuhai Lake, at an altitude of 2,298 meters, lies above Shuzheng Waterfall and below Rhinoceros Lake. Its depths and tranquility create picturesque reflections.

By Brother Xiqi |

Tiger Lake is located at an altitude of 2,298 meters above sea level, above the Shuzheng Waterfall. The water from the Shuzheng Valley flows through Tiger Lake and becomes a waterfall, pouring down into the Shuzheng Lakes. Therefore, Tiger Lake got its name from the sound of the waterfall!

By On the river bank |

One of the lakes in Jiuzhaigou, there is a small waterfall in the distance.

Tiger Lake, Rhino Lake and Shuzheng Waterfalls are my three favorite attractions. Tiger Lake is more uneasy than Rhino Lake, and it will not be calm forever. It is a bit unpredictable.

Very quiet and beautiful. There are relatively few tourists near Tiger Sea, so it is relatively quiet.

By Little Doll Rain |

The water is very clear, reflecting the color of the sky after the rain. The entire water surface has turned blue, like a fairy tale world.

By Tannins |

After entering the scenic area, we passed by Tiger Lake on the bus. The tour guide introduced Tiger Lake. It looked very peaceful and there were no ripples. The tour guide said there were three theories about its name: one was that the sound of the nearby Shuzheng Waterfall was like thunder, like a tiger's roar; the second was that in late autumn, the mountains along the lake were covered with colorful trees, and the reflections of the trees in the clear lake water were mottled, like the colorful tiger stripes on a tiger's body; the third was that the tigers in the mountains loved to come to this lake to drink water. That's what I heard.

By Mikiya |

There was really no trace of tigers in Laohu Lake, but the lake water was indeed beautiful.

By Island Mountain No. 17 |

The water plants at the bottom of the shallow lake resemble tiger stripes in the sunlight, and the dead branches in the distance, along with various red flowers and yellow leaves, form a soft pink and white treescape.

By Thick K |

When it is quiet, it is quieter than the Mirror Sea. Although the reflection of mountains and waters is not as colorful as the Mirror Sea, it also has its own unique flavor.

Tiger Lake is 2,298 meters above sea level, located above Shuzheng Waterfall. It is deep and tranquil, with violence hidden in silence and unruly hidden in tranquility.

By She Dreamed 1991. |

Shuzheng Waterfall is located in Shuzheng Valley in Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area, Sichuan Province. Shuzheng Waterfall is located upstream of Shuzheng Lake, next to the Shuzheng Village Road, which is crowded with tourists. It is the first waterfall you see when entering the valley and the smallest of the four major waterfalls in Jiuzhaigou.

Tiger Sea

Although the smallest, Shuzheng Waterfall is still breathtaking for first-time visitors to Jiuzhaigou. Standing at 2,295 meters above sea level, it's 11 meters high and 62 meters wide at its summit. It's the result of unnamed seawater rushing along the lake's embankment, divided by the trees in the water into thousands of streams that converge at the top of Shuzheng Waterfall.

As the water reaches the breakpoint, it gushes forth, flowing along the raised skirt-like and lung-shaped travertine below, forming a multi-polar, perfectly rounded waterfall. The cascade cascades down the stream with an elegant and graceful flow, while the powerful, melodious sound of the cascade is resolute. Snow-capped peaks, silver waterfalls, and verdant trees create a backdrop reminiscent of an impressionist painting, creating a poetic and dreamlike image by the waterfall. The water from the upstream lake flows along the shallows, divided by the trees in the water into countless streams, and finally converges at the cliffside at the summit of Shuzheng Waterfall, where it flows down, scattering mist in all directions, forming a curtain of water that is both elegant and majestic.

To visit the Tiger Lake in Jiuzhaigou, you have to wait until autumn when the leaves turn yellow and are reflected in the lake like the stripes on a tiger's body. It is not very noticeable in other seasons.

By scale |

My favorite lake has more red leaves beside the plank road, and the lake has pure color.

By Biao Biao |

At 2,298 meters above sea level, Tiger Lake is a vast lake. Under the bright sunshine, it appears particularly deep and tranquil. In late autumn, the lakeside hills are covered with colorful trees, and the reflection of the colorful trees in the clear lake water is like the colorful tiger stripes on a tiger's body.

By <Lao Ma>classmate |

Tiger Lake is as quiet as a mirror, very big and beautiful.

By China-TravelNote users |

When entering Jiuzhaigou, you can visit Tiger Lake on the bus. After visiting the left and right valleys, you can see the beauty of the lake at Tiger Lake. The lakes here are small lakes, which are called Haizi locally.

By Walking leisurely |

One of the many lakes, the water is azure blue and crystal clear, like a giant sapphire. You can see the reflections of the ancient tree trunks at the bottom of the lake and the trees on the shore. It is very beautiful.

By Yangtze River Water |

Tiger Sea is not too big, you can circle around it, and it looks very nice. Especially when it is not clear, the water is crystal clear and very beautiful.

By Bunny |

The colors of Tiger Sea are very rich. It is recommended to walk here
