Yulei Mountain is located on the east side of Erwang Temple. It is an urban forest park and is included in the Dujiangyan Scenic Area.
The park is dotted with towering old trees and green shade. There is also a section of the ancient Great Wall from the Ming Dynasty, where locals often go for morning exercises.
After visiting Dujiangyan, you can climb to the top of Yulei Pavilion to overlook Dujiangyan and the panoramic view of the water conservancy project, which is particularly beautiful.

Yulei Mountain is right on the edge of the city and has always been a good place for local residents to escape the summer heat.
Dujiangyan is connected to Yulei Mountain. We planned to go down from Yulei Mountain. To get to Yulei Mountain, we had to take a long escalator with a poetic name, Buyunti. We had to buy a separate ticket here, which was not included in the ticket for Dujiangyan Scenic Area.
Part of the Dujiangyan Scenic Area. I personally guess that it was later merged with Lidui Park to form the Dujiangyan Scenic Area.
Climbing up from the foot of Yulei Mountain, the long steps may be a test of visitors' physical fitness. There is a fork in the middle of the steps, through which you can enter the Erwang Temple from the side. In addition, the stone railings on both sides of the steps are engraved with various stories of Dujiangyan, which are uninterrupted all the way up, which is amazing.
Located in the Dujiangyan Scenic Area, it is one of the best places to climb high and overlook the Dujiangyan Water Conservancy Project. Now a sightseeing escalator has been built on Yulei Mountain, which makes it very convenient to go up and down the mountain. However, only part of it has an escalator. In most cases, you still need to experience the fun of hiking, although Yulei Mountain is not high, hehe!
We climbed to the top of Yulei Mountain to get a bird's eye view of Dujiangyan City.
Here you can see the entire Dujiangyan Irrigation Project
A great place to overlook Dujiangyan!!! Worth a visit
2018.1.20 The whole family visited Dujiangyan Scenic Area. After visiting Erwang Temple, we walked along the mountain road of Yulei Mountain and enjoyed the scenery. Yulei Pavilion is on the top of Yulei Mountain.
The panoramic view of Dujiangyan can be seen from the top of the mountain. It is within the Dujiangyan scenic area.
Yulei Pass
Also known as "Qipanguan", it is a scenic spot with a history of more than 1,100 years and is known as the "key to western Sichuan". It was first built in the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty and rebuilt in the tenth year of Tang Dazhong (856) when Bai Minzhong was the commander of Shu. The pass is located on the Hutou Cliff facing the river on the ancient Jianshan Mountain, straddling the throat of the Songmao Ancient Road. The pass is built on the mountain with stone slabs and a tower built on it, which is magnificent. The poet Du Fu left behind the famous line "Flowers near high towers hurt the heart of the traveler, and there are many difficulties in the world. The spring scenery of Jinjiang River comes from heaven and earth, and the floating clouds of Yulei change from ancient to modern times."
In history, Li Bing controlled water by opening the "Baopingkou" to limit the amount of water entering the inner river for irrigation (excess water flowed into the outer river, namely the Minjiang River, through the Feishayan). He also opened mountains to divert water, and the small and low mountains separated were called "Li Dui" and the main mountain was called "Yulei Mountain".
It was formerly called Yulei Mountain Park. After the integration of Dujiangyan Scenic Area, it was merged with Lidui Park to form the current Dujiangyan Scenic Area. There are some relics of the Ancient Tea Horse Road on Yulei Mountain, as well as the Erwang Temple. Yulei Mountain is also a must-see classic in Dujiangyan Scenic Area. The mountain is not high, but you can have a bird's eye view of Dujiangyan, which is also a good experience and worth a visit.
The floating clouds of Yulei change from ancient times to the present, which refers to this mountain
On the way back, we walked to the other side of the river, preparing to climb the mountain to see Dujiangyan from afar. Although the weather... visibility is not very high...
The Dujiangyan Scenic Area faces the river on one side and is backed by mountains on the other.
The mountain it is leaning against is Yulei Mountain, also known as Yulei Mountain.
Yulei Mountain is located on the east side of Erwang Temple. It was originally a park and is currently included in the Dujiangyan Scenic Area.
The mountain is covered with towering ancient trees and green shades. There is also a section of the ancient Great Wall from the Ming Dynasty. Locals often go there for morning exercises. After visiting Dujiangyan, you can climb to the top of the Yulei Pavilion to overlook Dujiangyan. It is particularly beautiful and worth a visit.
There are two high places in Dujiangyan where you can see the whole scenic area, one is Qinyan Tower (more suitable for taking panoramic photos of Yuzui), and the other is Yulei Pavilion on Yulei Mountain (it feels higher and you can see more scenery). To get to Yulei Pavilion, you need to take the Buyun Escalator, which costs 40 yuan per person for a round trip, and you can reach the foot of Yulei Pavilion in a few minutes. Then climb up about 5 floors to the top floor to overlook the whole Dujiangyan scenic area. You can also see the whole city, which feels like taking a helicopter to see the city. For details, you can also refer to my travel notes "Panda Man New Year Sichuan Chengdu & Surrounding Six-Day Tour" http://www.mafengwo.cn/i/6825053.html
There are ancient buildings along the mountain, so you won't feel bored during the mountain tour. The climbing intensity is very low and suitable for people of all ages. The environment is also good, with no vegetation damage.
Yulei Mountain is not high, and you can overlook the entire Dujiangyan from the mountain.
When Li Bing was controlling floods, he opened up mountains to divert water. The small and low mountains he separated were called "Li Dui" and the main mountain was called "Yulei Mountain", from which one can overlook Dujiangyan.
Yulei Mountain is the back door of Dujiangyan. In front of it is Lidui. You can also enter the Dujiangyan scenic area from here. Yulei Mountain diverts the river water of Dujiangyan and plays a role in dredging. The greenery on the mountain is very good, there are many trees, and the air is relatively humid, so it doesn't feel very hot. There is a Yulei Pass on the mountain, where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Yulei Pass itself is a very beautiful building, with a thick city wall, showing the historical charm. The small stalls next to it also tell us that the old city wall era is over. It is no longer a pass, but just a scenic spot.
On the east bank of the Dujiangyan Irrigation Project, there are lush trees and beautiful scenery, and a panoramic view can be seen from the top of the peak.
In order to be able to publish, I tried my best to write fifteen words.
The city forest park has towering ancient trees on the hills, green shades, lush trees in the park, and palaces and pavilions that are either hidden or exposed.
Climbing up the tower and looking down, it is really magnificent and shocking! The water conservancy project more than 2,000 years ago irrigated the entire Chengdu Plain~~
Yulei Mountain is one of the more interesting scenic spots in Dujiangyan Scenic Area. It is quite strenuous to climb up, but once you go up, the whole view is much wider, and it feels like "seeing all the mountains at a glance". You can see the outline of the entire Dujiangyan. The Anlan Cable Bridge seems to be suspended on the river, which is very beautiful. It was summer when I went there. The greenery on the mountain was very good, there were many trees, and the air was relatively humid, so it didn't feel very hot. There is a Yulei Pass on the mountain, where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Yulei Pass itself is a very beautiful building. The heavy city wall shows the historical charm. The small stalls next to it also tell us that the old city wall era is over. It is no longer a pass, but just a scenic spot. What is more interesting is that this location is a particularly suitable place to watch the sunset, but it was a pity that I didn't come by chance and didn't enjoy it.
Yulei Pavilion, a landmark of a thousand-year-old ancient city.
There are happy couples taking selfies in front of the door, and happy children playing happily.
It is a very worthwhile place to visit in Dujiangyan Scenic Area, overlooking Dujiangyan + the sea of flowers, don't miss it!
After getting off the intercity railway and passing through the ancient city of Guanxian, I did not follow the route indicated by the navigation. Instead, I walked towards the opposite gate, the gate of Yulei Mountain. Looking at the tower on the top of the mountain, I thought that I could overlook Dujiangyan from the top, but at this time I didn't know how naive I was. For me who doesn't climb mountains often, this is considered an exercise. I didn't expect Yulei Mountain to be so high. I almost fainted when I saw this staircase. When I just entered the mountain gate, the ticket inspector told me to go up from the left. But I didn't think it was right after walking for a short time, because there was no one. Fortunately, a man came down at this time. I went up to ask how to get to Yulei Pavilion. Unexpectedly, he told me to go down and then go up the stairs on the right. My God, it's not very high. Then people told me that at this time, most of the locals are doing morning exercises here, and few tourists come up. I continued to climb the mountain according to the route indicated by the locals, but there was still no one after climbing for a long time. Finally, I saw an uncle coming down. He told me that young people should climb slowly, and there is still a long way to go. He also cheered me up. It was both frustrating and heartwarming. When we got to Yulei Pavilion, we went to the long corridor and sat down. It was so hot to climb the mountain. I love sweating, so I rested in the long corridor for half an hour. At this time, the staff of the scenic spot came to work. I came so early. I walked around the surrounding area. The weather was not good and I couldn’t see the panoramic view, but I thought it might get better after a while. But the weather was still the same after waiting for waves of tour groups. There was no choice but to go directly to Yuzui instead of seeing the panoramic view. But it was really comfortable to climb the mountain while listening to music and walking around the ancient city.
