Shuanglang Town is located on the northeastern shore of Erhai Lake, close to the rippling Erhai Lake. You can overlook the 19 peaks of Cangshan Mountain in the distance, gathering the essence of Cangshan and Erhai scenery in one place.
The main attractions in the town, Yuji Island and Nanzhao Fengqing Island, are good places to watch the sunset.
Buildings of different styles are also a big attraction, including dancer Yang Liping's Sun Palace and Moon Palace and painter Zhao Qing's Qinglu.
It is recommended to stay overnight when visiting Shuanglang. In the evening, boating on the lake and watching the shimmering lights and shadows is a unique experience.

Shuanglang can be said to be a holy place for taking photos. Many popular photos of Erhai Lake are taken here, such as "Mirror of the Sky" and "Glass Ball". Many people choose to take wedding photos here. It looks good, but it is very expensive.
These photo spots in Shuanglang are difficult to find, and you have to take a motorcycle taxi to get there. A motorcycle taxi costs 20 yuan, and you need to pay a 10 yuan ticket to the photo spot. However, some spots, such as the "Sky Mirror", do not allow photography, and you have to pay an extra 50 yuan. If you want to rent clothes and hire a photographer to take pictures, you have to pay an extra 100 yuan, which is quite a rip-off.
In fact, the same internet celebrity photo shooting spot is also in Lijiang Lashi Lake Wetland Park, and they only charge 10 yuan for shooting, so if friends who want to check in these internet celebrity photos are also going to Lijiang, remember to plan to take pictures when you arrive at Lashi Lake.
The bus drop-off point is on the south side of Shuanglang. The road to the village is a big downhill slope, which is completely different from the feeling of Dali Ancient Town. Dali Ancient Town is planned in a regular and square manner, with straight streets that intersect vertically, like a chessboard grid. The roads in Shuanglang are "free and casual, because of the genius and the location, so the city walls do not need to be in accordance with the rules, and the roads do not need to be in accordance with the standards." So it is not tiring to walk.
When I first arrived at the village next to the water, my goal was to go to the water's edge as soon as possible. I just picked a road and walked towards the water's edge without any prior plan, and then I saw some very moving scenery.
The road runs along the winding waterfront, and in this season the roadside is full of flowers, and both the sky and the water are a clear blue: it is a scene that can make one smile unconsciously.
Walking along the road by the water, there is a corridor at the end, which frames a nice view.
Leaving the lake and walking into the village, the umbrellas hanging above the path are particularly beautiful under the sunny blue sky.
We were lucky to catch up with the reopening of Shuanglang, and all the homestays and restaurants were open for business. Now Shuanglang Ancient Town no longer allows vehicles to pass through. Like Lijiang Ancient Town, you can only park your car outside the ancient town and pull your suitcase into Shuanglang. If you want to enter the car, you can only wait until after 8 pm. Shuanglang is located behind the mountain, and you can't see the sunrise in the morning. It feels that the sun rises later here than in Dali Ancient Town. I always heard people say that Wase is a better place than Shuanglang; at that time, I was considering whether to live in Wase. Facts have proved that the reopened Shuanglang has more beautiful scenery than Wase. As for the lake view room, Shuanglang is definitely closer to Erhai Lake, and the Erhai Lake on Shuanglang is also purer.
Shuanglang today is no longer the Shuanglang of the past. Cars are prohibited from entering the central area, but you can rent a small battery in the village for 30 yuan. There are some scenery at the entrance of the village for tourists to take pictures, 10 yuan per person.
It was already 2pm when we arrived in Shuanglang. The dazzling sunlight made it hard to raise our heads. The temperature of 18 degrees Celsius felt like 25 degrees Celsius. We were all wearing autumn and winter clothes. It was still cold when we set out in the morning, but we wanted to change into summer clothes so that we could pose for photos by the beautiful Erhai Lake. The strong sunlight and ultraviolet rays on the plateau made me a little uncomfortable. Some of the photos I took under the light were black. Since we only had a few hours in the afternoon by the Erhai Lake, and the Erhai Lake was crowded at this time, we hurried to the popular check-in spot to check in.
Should Shuanglang be considered a small town by the Erhai Lake? When I went there in 2017, the road was under construction, so the transportation was not very convenient, and it was not so commercialized. The cost-effectiveness of food and accommodation in the town is still very high. Many locals live here, and the fruit snacks are very friendly. The restaurants opened by the Bai people taste good and the prices are not expensive. There are many inns by the Erhai Lake. You don’t have to book online in advance. You can go to each one to see the room and then book it. It’s completely fine, and the price you book directly can be cheaper than the price on the Internet. The prices of silver jewelry in the silverware shop are also very down-to-earth, much cheaper than buying them in the scenic area.
When I went there, there was road construction going on on the side of the road, and excavators were digging frantically. The houses next to me were covered with thick dust, and I could feel the dust flying everywhere when I walked on the road. In the end, I didn't dare to eat the snacks on the side of the road and went directly to the edge of Erhai Lake. The weather was beautiful and the scenery was particularly beautiful. I got off the car and walked to the bottom of the ancient town to reach the cruise ticket office. I think if the road hadn't been built, it would have been a very happy thing to stay in Shuanglang for a night.
Shuanglang Town is located on the northeastern shore of Erhai Lake and northeast of Dali City. It is close to the rippling Erhai Lake and overlooks the 19 peaks of Cangshan Mountain. It is the essence of Cang'er scenery. On a sunny day, the sun shines through the clouds and refracts on the lake, accompanied by the continuous Cangshan Mountain as the background, which is the most desirable shot for photographers.
Shuanglang Town, which is known as "Dali's scenery is in Cang'er, and Cang'er's scenery is in Shuanglang", is located in the northeast of Dali City, on the northeast coast of Erhai Lake, adjacent to Binchuan in the east, Wase Town in the south, Erhai Lake in the west, and Shangguan Town in the north. Shuanglang has Luoshiqu in the north, Lianhuaqu in the south, and Jinsuo and Yuji Islands in front, which surround Shuangqu, hence the name Shuanglang.
Shuanglang Town is located on the northeastern shore of Erhai Lake, close to the rippling Erhai Lake. It has a distant view of the Nineteen Peaks of Cangshan Mountain and gathers the essence of Cangshan and Erhai scenery in one place.
This morning, we set out from Dali Ancient Town and planned to go to Shuanglang Town to see Erhai Lake along the Ring Road. Shuanglang is not far from Dali Ancient Town, about 50 kilometers, and we arrived at 8 o'clock. The main attractions in the town, Yuji Island and Nanzhao Fengqing Island, are good places to watch the sunset. It seems that we are not lucky enough to watch the sunset here.
Shuanglang is on the East Ring Road, so it is not recommended to go there on purpose. If you live in Shuanglang, you can take a look around. If you don't live in Shuanglang, there is no need to go there at all. Just go to Xizhou.

Shuttle Bus:
There is a bus from Xiaguan Dali Bus North Station to Shuanglang, which runs from 8:30 to 17:00, every 40 minutes, with a fare of about 17 yuan per person and a journey of about 1.5 hours; this bus will pass the east side of the ancient city, so you can also take it on the Dali Highway, with a fare of 15 yuan per person
taxi:
1. Take a taxi from Xiaguan to Shuanglang, the fare is about 180
2. Take a taxi from Dali Ancient Town to Shuanglang, the fare is about 160 yuan
Self-driving:
It is about 50 kilometers from the ancient city along Huanhai West Road to Shuanglang, and 65 kilometers from Xiaguan along Huanhai East Road to Shuanglang. The road conditions are very good and the scenery is also nice. If you take the Dali Expressway, the exit is in the north of the town. Vehicles cannot enter the village from 10:00 to 18:00. Cars are prohibited from entering the central area. You can rent a small battery in the village for 30 yuan.
🏎The most beautiful section of the self-driving route around the sea is from Shuanglang Ancient Town down to the "Luoquan Peninsula". To see Erhai Lake, you have to take the Eastern Coastal Highway.
The National Day is coming. Come out and see how beautiful the outside world is. Why stay at home alone and feel unhappy? Why not come out and see the outside world? Travel is to go to places where others are tired of living to relax. We go to places where we are tired of living to relax. This is tourism. I am waiting for you in Shuanglang Town, Dali, on the 70th anniversary of the National Day! I hope you will come and leave your impression on the National Day. Happy National Day, welcome!
Shuanglang Ancient Town is very big and has many famous attractions. I have been there many times but never thoroughly organized my experience. I just rode there in a hurry this time. I will spend another day to have a good time next time.

Shuanglang is a newly built area near the northern entrance, which is relatively deserted. Dajianpang Village is where the original homestays gathered. After renovation, it was reopened and the shops are more dense. Overall, it is worth staying for one night from Dali. To see the panoramic view of Shuanglang, you need to go to the high road.
In 2012, when I was a freshman, the school organized a sketching trip to Dali. By the way, I went to Shuanglang, which was not yet popular. At that time, it was just a small town by the Erhai Lake. Now it is crowded with people! There are few shops! The people are simple and honest!
Shuanglang Town is located in the northeast of Dali City, on the northeast shore of Erhai Lake. It is known as “The most beautiful scenery of Dali is in Cang'er, and the most beautiful scenery of Cang'er is in Shuanglang”.
I personally think Shuanglang Ancient Town is too commercialized. After a stroll and a meal, we went to Yuji Island. Yuji Island is pretty good. I saw Yang Liping's Sun Palace.
Arrive at Erhai Lake in the afternoon and go to Shuanglang first to watch the sunset.
The beautiful scenery of Cang'er is unfortunately basically blocked by the houses and inns, making it difficult to appreciate. What a pity for Shuanglang!

Shuanglang Ancient Town is located by the Erhai Lake and has beautiful scenery. Facing the sea, flowers are blooming in the spring.
Today's Shuanglang has been planned and transformed into an ancient town, which is clean and orderly.
Shuanglang Town is located at the northeast end of Dali City, Yunnan Province, and on the northeast shore of Erhai Lake. It is a provincial historical and cultural town in Yunnan Province and the "No. 1 Town for Cang'er Scenic Spots."
Hotels surrounded by the sea on three sides are very worthwhile even though they are expensive. Now due to environmental protection measures, such hotels will probably disappear slowly.
After a day of being baked by the sun, the water of Erhai Lake is not cold at all and it feels extremely comfortable to step on it.
Shuanglang is indeed a place worth visiting, with beautiful scenery, it is best to stay there at night
The scenery is beautiful. It can be said to be the most beautiful village next to Erhai Lake. Unfortunately, there are too many people.
Shuanglang Town is surrounded by mountains on three sides and faces the sea on one side. Due to limited time, we focused on visiting Nanzhao Fengqing Island.
The Bai people can be seen everywhere, simple and honest
Shuanglang has the most beautiful sea view room, don't miss it~
Shuanglang Ancient Town has planted a lot of flowers, which is very beautiful and my favorite. There are many beautiful inns and small electric car rentals along the way, so accommodation and car rental are not a problem. Shuanglang Ancient Town is all stone roads, so don't wear high heels, otherwise you will cry, of course, there are exceptions for people carrying them.
Beautiful town, beautiful sea view room, very kind people, good reviews
After arriving, we stayed overnight in Shuanglang. It was a small building, which was quite nice. The scenery was great and it was very convenient to travel.
The most delicious grilled fish I have ever eaten. I just randomly went into a restaurant on the street, but unfortunately I don’t remember the name. We were the only customers in the restaurant. When the fish was finished, there was a power outage. The boss brought us candles, and somehow I had the first candlelight dinner in my life.
When you arrive in Shuanglang, it is quite convenient to stay in the ancient town, and there are many inns near the water.
One of the sections of Erhai Lake in Dali, Yunnan has beautiful scenery
It was already evening when we went there. Shuanglang Town was under renovation. The entrance to the town was dusty and there were few tourists. It didn't seem to have much to offer.
I think it is the best place to see Erhai Lake and you can stroll around the ancient town slowly.
Shuanglang is the number one town for Cangshan and Erhai Lake scenery and a famous historical and cultural town. The town is simple and elegant with a strong Bai ethnic style. It is surrounded by green mountains and the sky and water are one color. The eighteen scenic spots of Erhai Lake, such as golden shuttle weaving brocade, jade red lotus, Maitreya laughing at the sky, stone girl herding geese, tiger's mouth watching the tide, green chicken about to jump, the sound of Zhengjue bell, red mountain holy relics, Luo Shi playing in the water, island leaning against ancient banyan, red lotus, giant python running into the sea, turtle and snake facing each other, are all within sight. It is simply a holy place for travel photography and has the reputation of "a must-visit town for daydreaming in this lifetime".
This is my second visit to Shuanglang. The road has finally been repaired. It feels like an ancient town with fewer people, but you can see Erhai Lake from every path. There are many popular photo-taking spots.
Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake, you will see the most beautiful Erhai Lake in Shuanglang. It is quieter than the Erhai Lake you see in Dali
I passed by here when I was riding around Erhai Lake. This is the village closest to Erhai Lake. The scenery is first-class. There are photography bases along the coast, many photography props, and you can reach the beach from any alley. Opposite is Cangshan Mountain, which is so beautiful. There is a stewed meat vendor on the street. The couple is very simple. A big bowl costs 10 yuan. I happened to be hungry when I rode here, so I bought several big bowls to fill my stomach. Compared with the price of 20 yuan for Xizhou Baba, it is much more conscientious. I will come again if I have the chance and stay in the inn by the sea to experience it. It should be good.
My wife and sister-in-law both said that this place is very nice. I also think it is very nice and better than the Dali Ancient Town.
Anyone who has been to Shuanglang should know what kind of scenery it is, with a calm and wide lake and rows of buildings, each providing a beautiful view. However, Shuanglang is now a dead city. We stood on the observation deck and looked at this dead silent place, with only the bougainvillea still blooming brilliantly...
Shuanglang is so beautiful, it deserves to be the number one town in Cang'er scenery.
Teacher Yang Liping's home, the best fishing village to view Erhai Lake.
The famous Shuanglang ~ You can't ride a bike in, the bikes are parked outside, the whole main street goes all the way down, there are a lot of people and a lot of shops, it's not very interesting.
There are small paths on both sides of the Shuanglang main road. On the left is a very charming alley, which is very suitable for taking pictures.
Walking along the stone road of Shuanglang Ancient City, taking photos of the various small shops along the way,
Eat the roasted milk fan at the stalls set up by the local Bai people.
Take a few more steps and have a cold drink. But I don't like the rancid taste of cheese and milk, so I don't like the local specialties.
I passed by and didn't have a deep impression. It is one of the popular attractions in Dali, famous because of Yang Liping!
Nanzhao Fengqing Island is still very beautiful...
Shuanglang, a thousand-year-old fishing village, has completely preserved the cultural customs of the Bai people. Walking through the streets, you can feel the daily life of the ancient fishermen, and also appreciate the artistic atmosphere of the renovated fishing village.
Shuanglang is not big. There are two choices after entering the scenic area, one is Nanzhao Fengqing Island and the other is Yuji Island.
In Dali, every household grows flowers, especially in Shuanglang Town. The balconies of the white buildings are all decorated with colorful flowers and plants.
Before I left, I read a lot of negative reviews about Shuanglang, saying it was dusty and merchants were overcharging customers...
But I still hold on to a beautiful belief and choose this place.
After a period of restoration and construction, Shuanglang was basically completed and opened after the National Day. It just passed the peak period of the National Day, so there were not many tourists.
If you hold a better attitude, you will encounter more beautiful scenery. I have to say that the description of Shuanglang as "the first town with the most beautiful scenery in the sea" is absolutely not an exaggeration.
There are several small towns by the Erhai Lake. I chose Xizhou because in addition to the natural scenery of Erhai Lake, it also has an old courtyard - Yan's Courtyard.
There is nothing here, and half of the shops are for sale. Not as good as Xizhou Ancient Town, a rip off
After much hesitation, I decided to come to Shuanglang, which is now an "empty city". I have seen the prosperous Shuanglang, so I was shocked by its loneliness when I came here again. The only thing I was thankful for was that the water quality of Erhai Lake was still clear.
The natural photo studios on the beach are still there, but they are no longer attached to the hotel. Several privately managed props (common ones include glass balls, white tables, swings, etc.) are still fiercely competitive, and you can go in and take photos for a long time for 20 or 30 yuan. Each area is divided into different areas, and some can also provide tripods and wedding dresses for rent, warmly inviting you to take photos, as this is the best view of Erhai Lake.
In my heart, the beauty of Shuanglang can probably only live in memory forever.
Since Shuanglang is under renovation, there are sheds everywhere, so there are not many tourists, and it is quieter than Dali Ancient Town. However, I don't regret coming here, because I saw the most beautiful Erhai Lake sunset here.
I went there in the off-season in December. It was boring. This is the most boring scenic spot I have ever been to. I just wanted to get out and take the bus back. Many shops were closed. There was nothing to see except Erhai Lake.
A very boring ancient town...
I walked north along Shuanglang Street for a long time but still couldn't reach the end. Apart from the sea view, there didn't seem to be any special attractions.
I personally think Shuanglang is quiet and beautiful. Don't go there during the peak season when there are many people. Winter is also a good time to visit the city.
Next time I go to Dali, I will definitely stay in Shuanglang to experience the "Spring is warm and flowers are blooming, facing Erhai Lake". Deep people like Xizhou, and literary people like Shuanglang. Shuanglang Ancient Town is a place that attracts me very much. It is less noisy than Dali and Lijiang, and more exquisite than Xizhou Ancient Town.
Shuanglang Ancient Town doesn't seem to have the ancient charm I imagined. I feel that there are few things that can be called ancient, except for this ancient banyan tree. The Sun Palace of the famous dancer Yang Liping is in this town. It is said that tickets were required to enter the Sun Palace in the past, but now they are collected from the street entrance to the Sun Palace. Shuanglang Ancient Town is still under construction, and the surrounding environment and traffic seem a bit chaotic. The town is better.
Shuanglang is much quieter than Dali Ancient Town, but it still has a commercial flavor. I think it's just right.
Keep walking along the main road, and every alley we pass by will give us a glimpse of Erhai Lake.
The stay on this trip was too short, I will stay longer next time.
An unforgettable journey to Tengchong's ginkgo trees, volcanoes, and Heshun Ancient Town.
Shuanglang is a must-visit place. Actually, Dali is under governance and Shuanglang has been closed for a while. When we went there, it had just been open for a few days. We heard that it would be closed again in a few days. The road around the sea near Shuanglang is also under construction, which makes cycling very inconvenient. In addition, there are many difficult roads around Erhai Lake, and many places are under construction. Fortunately, I didn’t miss the beautiful scenery after cycling. When visiting Erhai Lake, you can’t do without the Internet celebrity check-in places. After cycling, you will find that there are many such places. Find your favorite place and take pictures at will.
A very beautiful seaside town, worth visiting.
It's a place that everyone is familiar with. You can choose to live here, but that road has been under construction for a long time, and I feel that after Shuanglang became popular, it has become a big construction site, so everyone should be careful.
There is a small house on the roadside not far from Shuanglang, which is very suitable for taking pictures.
Shuanglang Town was undergoing renovation when I went there. There were renovations everywhere.
Shuanglang, which is under governance, has lost its usual vitality. I hope that next time I come to Shuanglang, everything will be brand new.
Shuanglang is a small place on the shore of Erhai Lake
Very petty, suitable for taking pictures in a daze, I like this leisurely and leisurely atmosphere
What is Shuanglang like? Some people say it is a good place to daydream, some say it is a place where one can be as quiet as water, and some say it is a place where one can forget worries, time stagnates, and become lazy. The environment can affect a person's mood. The busy and concrete metropolis brings us endless noise and irritability. The fast-paced life and high-pressure working environment make everyone look for space and time to release themselves.
It's very easy to find. You can take a walk in it. It's a mature town with convenient dining options. It's very pleasant to drink tea and bask in the sun in a teahouse along the lake.
I was extremely disappointed when I entered the center of Shuanglang town. It felt like I had entered a construction site. There were tractors everywhere and the ground was dusty. It happened to be a rainy day. Everything was terrible. It was completely different from the beautiful Shuanglang that I had imagined.
Because of the serious pollution and deterioration of water quality, Shuanglang seems to have started to rectify it since 2015, and many inns were closed. Now most inns have opened one after another, but it is still a depressed scene.
There are many unfinished inns with empty skeletons standing there, and many inns that have been demolished and closed, looking gray and desolate.
However, the overall artistic conception of a seaside town is still there.
You can watch the sunrise, the sea and the egrets at Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake.
I saw Yang Liping's Sun Palace... The scenery is beautiful, the sky of Yunnan, Yunnan and the beautiful Erhai Lake, everything is so beautiful
When I was riding an electric bike around Erhai Lake, I passed Shuanglang and the scenery was nice.
Shuanglang Town is located on the northeastern shore of Erhai Lake and northeast of Dali City. It is connected to the famous Buddhist mountain Jizu Mountain in the east, Erhai Lake in the west, Wase Town in the south, Shangguan Town in the city and Huangping Town in Heqing County in the north. With the Erhai Lake facing the gate and the 19 peaks of Cangshan Mountain in the distance, it gathers the essence of Cangshan and Erhai scenery, and is known as "Dali scenery is in Cangshan and Erhai, Cangshan scenery is in Shuanglang".
Erhai Lake has three islands, four continents, five lakes and nine bends. Shuanglang is located at the junction of Luoshi Bend and Lianhua Bend, on a sandbar. Nanzhao Fengqing Island and Yuji Island are on the left and right of the sandbar. The "double bends" surround the "double islands", so it is named Shuanglang. Shuanglang is rich in natural resources, famous mountains and rivers, and rich in cultural landscapes. There are Hongshan Jingdi Temple, Zhengjue Temple, National Culture Street,
Tianshengying, Feiyan Temple, Shuanglang Kuixing Pavilion, Yubo Pavilion, Bishe Ancient Battlefield, Shaniu Peninsula, Nanzhao Style Island, Daoyi Peninsula, Sheshan Peninsula, Dajianpang Kuixing Pavilion, Guishan, Jinbang Temple, Wenchang Palace, Lianhuaqu, Qingshan Cliff Carvings, Fenglangqing Karst Cave, etc.
These natural landscapes along the lake complement the sparkling waves of Erhai Lake. In the Dongju Mountain area, there are Dawang Temple, Yujin Temple, Hufa Temple, Xinyi Bridge, Tiansheng Bridge, Shiniuping, Sanduozhuang, Jinyu Bridge, etc. The scenery is crisscrossed and the legends are interesting. Each landscape has a moving allusion, fantasy and mystery. With its unique location advantages and geographical environment as well as rich and colorful ethnic folk customs, it is known as the "No. 1 Town of Cang'er Scenic Spots".
