I signed up for a one-day tour, which included a bottle of oxygen and a down jacket. I had to return the down jacket to the tour guide after I got off.

Under normal circumstances, one bottle is enough, as long as you don't get too excited

Important reminder: If you have an oxygen cylinder, you must start taking oxygen in advance. You can probably start on the bus or while waiting in line.

Otherwise, if you rise more than a thousand meters in ten minutes, it will be too late to breathe after you react.

If you feel dizzy or chest tightness, sit down and take a rest. It is best to bring some chocolate or something with you and eat it in advance.

Then prepare some in your bag to replenish your energy. These things can be prepared the day before. Buying anything in the scenic area is expensive.



You will need your ID card to pass the security check, so please remember to bring your ID card.

After the security check, you will queue up for the bus, then the bus will drive to the cable car, and then queue up for the cable car.



We went there because it had just snowed the day before (the day before was because of heavy snow and the Glacier Park was not open).

The platform can be seen to have just been cleared of snow, and the wooden plank road is closed.

The staff were shoveling snow and couldn't go up, so it was a pity



Then I was the type who was too excited to go up there, and nothing happened at first, but then I was exhausted.

I felt uncomfortable and my chest was stuffy. I sat in the lounge for a while, ate some bread and drank some water, and took some oxygen. I felt much better.

Of course, I don’t know if it’s due to low blood pressure, because I didn’t eat much breakfast.

Why I'm so drawn to this place? I simply wanted to experience what altitude sickness feels like. With that in mind, I had to step on the snow. It was an unforgettable experience, and of course, it was worth the 340 yuan. The tour was completely sold out during the Spring Festival, and I only managed to get individual tickets on the eighth day of the Lunar New Year. I'm so lucky! It was worth the four-day wait!

We set off for the snow-capped mountains before daybreak. We signed up for a day trip, which was very cost-effective and included transfers, a windbreaker, oxygen tanks, and an evening performance by Yunnan Xiangsheng. Blue Moon Valley is made up of five lakes, and while the water isn't as rich as Jiuzhaigou's, it's still quite enjoyable to explore slowly. The electric car costs 50 yuan per person, and the cable car goes up to over 4,500 meters. If you're not in great shape, this is fine. Don't go to 4,680 meters, as the descent is very shaky and can easily lead to motion sickness and altitude sickness! If you're in good shape, it's still worth the trip! A truly unique experience!

After going up, you will reach the starting point of plank road 4506. For many people, altitude sickness begins at this time.

For friends who have no experience in plateaus, it is recommended that you do not rush to climb up right away. Plateaus are different from plains. It does not mean that you can climb as much as you can in one breath before you react.

If the weather is fine, the temperature on the mountain is actually the same as at the foot of the mountain.

The Glacier Park Cableway only reaches an altitude of 4,506 meters. The rest of the way needs to be walked step by step, so you should do it according to your ability.

First, take the cable car to Glacier Park to experience the essence of the world's mid- and low-latitude mountain glaciers. After lunch, head directly to Blue Moon Valley at the foot of the mountain to admire the nearly frozen blue of the valley. Finally, head to Yunshanping to explore the vast lawn hidden within the pristine spruce forest.

The main attractions in the Yulong Snow Mountain Scenic Area include Blue Moon Valley, Glacier Park, Yunshanping, Yakping and other major attractions.

The Glacier Park has the highest altitude and is located just below the main peak, Fanzidou. To see the peaks and glaciers, you need to take a cable car up the mountain and then tour along the plank road.

The cable car took us up to the summit, where the sun shone directly and the wind was light, so we didn't feel the chill. The sky was clear and cloudless, offering a panoramic view of the mountains below. There were still a hundred-plus meters to the 4,680-meter platform, and wooden stairs were available along the way. Even climbing just a few steps, I was out of breath, needing to take a breather every few steps. It took me half an hour to reach the summit, stopping and starting frequently. The scenery was breathtaking at every turn. Looking up, I could see the majestic peaks, their angular shapes and angles; looking down, I could see the vast expanse, a feeling of grandeur and grandeur. On the way down, wisps of cloud began to form in the sky, and the strong wind shifted the sky rapidly.

When going to Yulong Snow Mountain Glacier Park, you must prepare two things, one is winter clothes and the other is oxygen. Our driver and tour guide said that it is best for one person to bring two cans of oxygen, just in case. I think so too. It is better to be prepared. In fact, you will only know it by experiencing it yourself. For people with good health, one bottle is enough.

There was light rain at the foot of Yulong Snow Mountain, heavy snow was falling on the mountain, and the Glacier Park was covered in white.

4680! No altitude sickness, actually a little disappointed

There are so many glaciers. I looked around from here and although they are all glaciers, they all seem different.

The sky is clear and the snow is thick. You need to plan your time carefully to see the beautiful scenery without having to rent a coat.

We took the cable car with the tour group. The so-called Glacier Park is actually a climb to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain at an altitude of 4,680 meters. The scenery along the way is magnificent. As a native of the Ice City, I was amazed when I visited here. I strongly recommend it to southerners who have never seen snow to go and see it.

The white snow-capped peaks are covered with clouds and snow, beautiful and tall. Against the backdrop of the blue sky, they look like a silver dragon lying on the top of the mountain, majestic and full of grandeur and beauty.

There's no ice in Glacier Park in September. Really. Not to mention the thin strip of ice on the ridge. Even without ice, Glacier Park is beautiful. The dark mountaintops have a uniquely chilling feel. At the top, the sky seems even closer: blue sky, white clouds, dark mountaintops, and a cool autumn breeze. The climb up to the mountaintop isn't too strenuous, thanks to the cable car. The rest of the climb up to the top is completely effortless without oxygen tanks. Trust in your resilience; you'll feel a sense of accomplishment after completing this challenge.

The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain cable car is right here. It seems that there has been much less snow in the past two years.

The experience of Yulong Snow Mountain is great. You can get close to the glacier after getting off the cable car.

The park was filled with people and snow, with a large plaza. Many people were taking photos, and my friends hadn't even started climbing. I felt nothing, so I left them behind and trudged up alone, huffing and puffing. I had no idea how high it was.

There are three cable cars at Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The Glacier Park is the main cable car, which is also the core and landmark of the scenic area. You can take the main cable car directly to 4506 meters, and then climb to 4576 meters and the highest peak at 4680 meters. It is a must to visit the Glacier Park when visiting Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. However, it is best to prepare 2 bottles of oxygen per person. They are sold in the ancient city for 20-30 yuan each.

Just take the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Cableway up, and it will be integrated with the Jade Dragon scenic spot. You won’t see such a beautiful view in the summer, only gray rocks.

The wind on the platform of Glacier Park was very strong, and I felt very cold after staying there for a while. There were not many tourists, and there seemed to be more people going up to 4680.

Glacier Park is the main attraction of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. A cable car takes you directly to the Glacier Park viewing platform, located over 4,500 meters above sea level. To reach the summit of the 4,680-meter monument, you'll need to climb a plank road over 100 meters in vertical distance. The path itself seems to be about 2 kilometers long, but these short 2 kilometers will give you a deep understanding of altitude sickness. Although we didn't feel any altitude sickness at the Glacier Park platform, our breathing became increasingly rapid as we climbed, forcing us to slow down and breathe oxygen from a bottle. The two-kilometer walk took us about half an hour, but we finally reached the summit. A light snow fell on the way back, and for a true southerner, standing on a snowy mountain and watching the falling snow is a truly magical experience.

Regarding the month and time to visit Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, because there are many small attractions and different scenery in different seasons, it is recommended to choose suitable attractions to visit according to the weather and season, otherwise you may not be able to finish the tour in one day or you may just rush through it. We went to the mountain in mid-April and saw the snow-capped mountains covered with thick silver, but the tour guide said that the snow will basically melt after June, and then we will only experience altitude sickness when visiting the Glacier Park.

The snow on the top of the mountain has strong refraction and strong ultraviolet rays, so please prepare sunglasses to protect yourself from the sun and look cool.

It is a park in the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Scenic Area!!! Buy your ticket at the Glacier Park Ticket Office, and then they will arrange for you to take a bus to the cable car station.

The mountains high up in Glacier Park are still covered in snow, a truly thrilling sight in the summer. Plants are almost nonexistent here, though small, unknown wildflowers and grasses occasionally appear in the cracks of the bare, rocky mountains. Their tenacity amazes us, yet also fills us with a deep sense of pity.

If you are in good health, you can consider it. However, you may not see snow in the summer if the weather is bad, but the scenery is still good.

Xiaoyulong really shocked me. I didn’t know that a mountain covered in snow could be incredibly beautiful. It was so pure and beautiful.

After descending the cable car, we reached the Glacier Park Observation Deck, which was 4,506 meters above sea level. Less than 200 meters away from the highest accessible point, 4,680 meters, it looked close, but the climb up to the 4,680-meter mark, with over a thousand steps and high altitude, was truly tiring. Seven of us, along with our group, supported each other as we climbed the plank path. The wind and rain raged on the mountain, and the temperature was below 10 degrees Celsius, leaving everyone shivering. However, the scenery was truly breathtaking, as if we were in a celestial realm, with limestone rubble up close and glaciers and seas of clouds in the distance. After about half an hour, we finally reached the 4,680-meter boundary marker, where everyone frantically took photos.

There was even a Zhengxin Chicken Steak stall up there... I have to admit, it was quite hard to catch my breath on the way up, and my energy drained quickly, but luckily we had Snickers. We didn't even finish our 1.5L bottle of oxygen, and when we reached 4560 meters, the wind was too strong and there was fog, so the 680-meter gate didn't open again. But we persevered and waited for over 10 minutes while taking photos, and finally it opened. I just felt incredibly lucky and in awe of nature. The driver said that the snow-capped mountains are most beautiful in winter, but the chances of not being able to climb are also very high, so you're very lucky.

There was very little snow in Glacier Park. It was reported that the park would be closed in October 2019 to protect the snowy mountain ecosystem. I was very glad to have come in 2018.

This is also a sub-attraction of Yulong Snow Mountain. From November to April of the following year, there is a lot of snow, which is very scenic.

Located on the northeast slope of Fanzidou, the main peak of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Glacier Park is a typical example of the modern glaciers of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. In summer, you can see glaciers formed over 40,000 years ago.

By the way, I think it is more suitable to join a small group for a one-day tour of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. For example, the original price of our group is 488 yuan per person, including 130 yuan for tickets, 180 yuan for cable car, 20 yuan for eco-friendly car, plus round-trip transfers from the city, down jackets, oxygen bottles and mineral water. The actual cost is not much different from buying tickets by yourself.

Once you exit the upper cable car station, you'll arrive at the Glacier Park. To avoid altitude sickness, walk slowly along the Glacier Plank Road, avoiding running and making loud noises.

My personal suggestion is that if you don’t have any uncomfortable symptoms, don’t use oxygen. For example, my friends and I who went to the snow mountain later didn’t use oxygen the whole time, and we felt everything was normal╮(╯▽╰)╭

The mountain was covered in clouds, and it was raining at an altitude of 4650 meters. It was miserable. [What was even worse was that my friend encountered hail on the plank road on July 21st.

After paying the mountain entrance fee, we set off for the Glacier Park. It was foggy and raining. The driver said that it had started snowing on the snow-capped mountains. Fortunately, we rented down jackets, otherwise we would have been shivering... There were a lot of people queuing for the cable car in the Glacier Park. It took about an hour to get on the cable car. It was actually a bit scary because sometimes it was slow and sometimes fast, and I could only hold my friend's arm tightly.

The Glacier Park can only be reached via the large cable car, and generally only the Glacier Park has snow. The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain mentioned here refers to the entire scenic area, and the Glacier Park is just a scenic spot on the northeast slope of the snow mountain. Generally, snow is only possible in winter when taking the small and medium cable cars.

Because of the high altitude, even low and mid-latitudes have snow. We saw unmelted snow here in July, which was truly beautiful. There were also quite a few people, all enjoying themselves, shouting and relaxing on the summit, or snapping photos on their phones. The scene was both refreshing and lively. Be sure to bring a jacket; it's incredibly cold up there. The view from the mountain below was shrouded in mist, a truly spectacular sight.

Standing on the top of the mountain, overlooking the whole Lijiang, it feels like "standing on the top of the mountain, overlooking all the mountains". The sun shines through the clouds, revealing its face, shining on the white snow on the top of the mountain, crystal clear.

The end point of the Glacier Park is 4,680 meters above sea level. Don't underestimate this 100-plus meters of elevation; the final climb feels incredibly arduous, relying entirely on willpower. On the way to the finish line, many tourists remarked, "What kind of snow-capped mountain is this? There's no snow at all!" A reminder: Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, while called a "snow mountain," isn't the snow-capped, snowy landscape you imagine. It's a glacier! A glacier! A glacier! I can't stress this enough!

The scenery at Yulong Snow Mountain Glacier Park is truly spectacular, with visitors reaching an altitude of 4,680 meters to experience the charm of nature. A reminder: be sure to wear plenty of clothes before hiking, and make sure to rest well the day before to maintain your strength.

There is a sightseeing wooden plank road in the glacier park. The oxygen is thin on the plateau and the feeling of hypoxia is obvious. You have to stop to rest after walking a dozen steps. It is still very challenging to reach the top of the mountain.

Starting from the end of May this year, the number of tourists to Yulong Snow Mountain Glacier Park is controlled at 10,000 people per day. If you are traveling independently during the peak tourist season, be sure to remember to make reservations in advance.

After getting off the bus, I geared up to keep warm in the cold up the mountain. For the first time in my life, I used a heat pack, even though I was already wearing a down jacket. At 3,356 meters, I didn't feel a noticeable drop in temperature. Despite the bustle of tourists, the sun and air were serene and still, with geese soaring overhead. The sunlight pouring down from the summit seemed still and mobile. The cable car quickly ascended to the mountainside, at 4,680 meters. There wasn't much snow up there, but the temperature was noticeably lower than at the foot. Gloves were a must! A gust of wind could sweep your words away and pierce right into your skin. Another gust of wind could instantly transform you into snowflakes! This transformation was unpredictable! From this point on, the snow-capped mountains lay beneath our feet, bare only snow. Although there was a tourist access road, climbing further wasn't easy, and our entire group had practically stopped moving. Looking down, we saw a sea of clouds and lush green mountains.

Yulong Snow Mountain Glacier Park, I think most people come here just for this attraction, where they can see glaciers, snow-capped mountains, and plateaus. It must be more attractive to friends living in the south, right?

It turned out to be the Glacier Park Cableway (Big Cableway), which is the highest point of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. When you reach the top, it is 4,680 meters.

The scenery is very good. You can take as many photos as you want here, and then you can hike to the highest peak of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (4,680 meters). You have to do it according to your ability. Oxygen is free for a one-day tour, and children have to buy oxygen separately. It is recommended not to rent winter clothes, and you don’t need to wear too many clothes. Our winter clothes were included in the one-day tour, and we gave them to the driver after we got off the snow mountain.

What's the point of having a plank road? It's boring now.

Now, perhaps for the purpose of protecting nature and glaciers, wooden plank roads have been built in areas of the glacier park open to tourists, and tourists can only walk on the plank roads.

We took the cable car up to the Glacier Park atop Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. It was said to be a massive cable car that ascended 1,000 meters in 30 minutes, which sounded quite exciting. The ride was quite high, but not as thrilling as the climb up Mount Huashan. At first, all we saw were pine trees and a few scattered white things, but then we suddenly passed through the clouds and saw nothing. A short while later, the snow-capped mountains appeared, a truly breathtaking experience. The soil on the mountain was black, and the snow was white. Having never seen a snow-capped mountain before, we were stunned by the sight. It was absolutely stunning. It was a truly worthwhile trip!

The top of the snow mountain leads to the Glacier Park. It seemed to be quite cloudy that day, and the clouds moved very quickly. I had just gotten off the cable car and hadn't experienced any altitude sickness yet, but the snow was so white it was almost blinding. It was truly beautiful and spectacular.

A 15-minute ride on the Glacier Cableway (from 3,356 meters to 4,506 meters) takes you to this spot, where you can experience the essence of the world's mid- and low-latitude mountain glaciers. In winter and spring, the scenic area is blanketed in a blanket of snow, while in summer and autumn, you can admire the 2.7-kilometer-long Baishui No. 1 Glacier, formed 40,000 years ago. Due to the high altitude and unpredictable weather, the scenic area announces the Glacier Cableway's operating hours each morning, so not every visitor will be lucky enough to ascend the 4,506-meter glacier. The cable car ascends approximately 1,200 meters in elevation, at a roughly 45-degree angle. The sight of the surrounding cliffs is breathtaking. Descending from the cable car leads to a spacious viewing platform. The temperature was near freezing, and even though I was wearing only a single layer of clothing, I was chilled to the bone (I brought a padded jacket and oxygen tank with me). However, my mind remained clear, and I could only manage a few seconds of photography in my single layer. From the platform, follow the plank road to the highest point at 4,680 meters, where you can experience the beauty of the snow-capped mountains and glaciers up close. We were unlucky and could not reach the top because of the repair of the plank road.

Yulong Snow Mountain is really beautiful, with snow all year round.

The mountain is pure and if you are lucky enough to see a rainbow, the blue sky will be even more beautiful.

You can climb to the top of the snow-capped mountain at an altitude of 4680 meters.

Take the cable car to the top of the mountain, and every remaining step requires oxygen and persistence, but after completing it, every step makes people feel that the trip is worthwhile, and walk all the way to the top of the mountain to witness that height.

Check the weather before you come, otherwise you may not be able to reach the top of the 4608-meter peak.

The glacier park on Yulong Snow Mountain is the most beautiful snow mountain in Yunnan

It was my first time climbing a snowy mountain, and I was quite excited. Of course, I climbed quite fast, so I felt a little short of oxygen. Afterwards, I communicated with someone who had been climbing for a long time, and he said that as long as I climbed slowly, I didn’t need an oxygen tank. But this snowy mountain is really awesome!

What is something that cannot be destroyed by fire or rotten by water?



One day, when the Buddha was preaching in the Jetavana Monastery, Lord Brahma descended from the sky, came to the Buddha's seat and asked him for advice.

　　

Brahma asked, "What is the sharpest sword? What is the most violent poison? What is the fiercest fire? What is the darkest night?"

　　

The Buddha replied: "Harsh words are the sharpest sword, greed is the most powerful poison, afflictions are the fiercest fire, and ignorance is the darkest night."

　　

Brahma asked, "Who benefits the most? Who loses the most? What armor is impenetrable? What is the best weapon?"

　　

The Buddha replied, "Those who give charity gain the most, while those who are greedy and do not return the favor suffer the greatest loss. Patience is an unbreakable armor, and wisdom is the best weapon."

　　

Brahma asked, "What is the most insidious thief? What is the most precious treasure? What is the most powerful attachment in heaven and on earth? What is the safest treasure?"

　　

The Buddha replied, "Evil thoughts are the most insidious thieves, morality is the most precious treasure, the mind's attachment to things is the strongest, and non-birth and non-death is the safest treasure."

　　

Brahma asked, "What is the most alluring? What is the most repulsive? What is the most horrible suffering? What is the greatest enjoyment?"

　

The Buddha replied, "Goodness is the most alluring, evil is the most disgusting, guilt is the most horrible suffering, and liberation is the greatest enjoyment."



Brahma asked again, "What is the cause of death in the world? What destroys friendship? What is a severe fever? Who is the best doctor?"

　　

The Buddha replied, "Ignorance is the root of death. Jealousy and selfishness destroy friendship. Hatred is the worst fever. The Buddha is the Supreme Physician."

　　

Brahma thought for a moment and then asked, "I still have a question that I don't understand. I pray to the Buddha, can you enlighten me? What is it that is indestructible by fire, indestructible by water, indestructible by wind, and can even recreate the universe?"

　　

The Buddha replied, "It is karma. The karma of good deeds cannot be destroyed by fire, rotted by water, or broken by wind. It can even recreate the universe."

　　

After listening to the Buddha's teachings, Brahma was filled with joy and bowed before leaving.
