Any place with water can become a mirror to the sky. The glass plank road, the tour bus into the canyon, and the cascading waterfalls made me feel like I was in a painting. At 3 p.m., I was ready to leave for Lijiang Old Town. While waiting for the bus, I strolled to the nearby village. Its whitewashed walls and blue bricks were very clean. In the square, an elderly man played chess, enjoying a leisurely afternoon.

This is definitely a beautiful, overlooked area. When we visited, there were very few tourists, and the area within sight was barely a few people. I highly recommend taking a boat! Many of the views are best seen from the middle of the lake. The trolley is also worth a try; it's thrilling, but safe. There are plenty of benches along the way for resting, but I didn't see any water for sale, so I recommend bringing your own. However, this was a few years ago, so I'm not sure what happened now.

Snacks and lunch options are available both inside and outside the scenic area, and the prices are reasonable. However, I personally felt the scenic area was just average, and the three-hour visit was about right. The scenery is nice, but unfortunately, it's dominated by a large artificial lake, boat tours, and a glass plank road, which detracts from the natural feel. A package ticket costs around 200 yuan per person, including the boat tour, glass plank road, dry slide, and transfers.

It's packed with locals, so I'd take my kids there on weekends. As a tourist, I don't think it's necessary. The entrance fee includes the glass plank road and slide, so it's worth a try if you haven't tried it. Guanyin Gorge is conveniently located on the way to Lijiang Old Town.

At that time, I negotiated with the inn and said that we would refund all the glass plank road tickets for my grandfather. As a result, after we came back, the three of us only got a total refund of 120 yuan. Although I was stupid, it can be regarded as buying experience. I hope that future tourists will see this and avoid these unpleasant experiences. It is best to be wary of the innkeeper's recommendation, especially this time our innkeeper's wife is also from Dalian. It's a good idea to meet old friends in a foreign land!

The scenery is not very good. If you have time, go to Tiger Leaping Gorge or Baishuitai.
