It takes about an hour to walk around the park. There are many locals in the park. It is said that locals do not charge. There is also an Elephant Mountain next to the park. It takes about an hour and a half to climb the mountain. The reflection of the snow-capped mountains and vegetation in the lake is so beautiful that you can't take your eyes off. Elephant Mountain is the perfect place to see the panoramic view of Lijiang Ancient City. The photos taken have been adjusted in color, so of course the original photos are not so outstanding... The weather was not very good, it was cloudy.

You will be given a receipt, but you can enter unlimited times within a month. Unfortunately, we only went to the last stop of our trip this time. I thought that we were already there, and the elderly didn’t want tickets, so of course we bought tickets and went in. You have to write your name on the receipt, otherwise it can be used by other tourists. After spending this 80 yuan, some attractions and restaurants in the ancient city, including the No. 88 snack bar we just ate, can get discounts, but unfortunately we can’t enjoy it.

This is a place with history and feng shui. It is a park that locals love to visit. There is also an Elephant Mountain in the park that you can climb, but tourists from the plains generally still have some altitude sickness. It is said that the feng shui of Heilongtan is very good, suitable for living and keeping fit, and also for gathering wealth. Many wealthy people buy houses nearby.

Black Dragon Pool Park is located at the foot of Xiangshan Mountain in the north of the ancient city. Here you can take photos of the most beautiful Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and see many national treasure-level ancient buildings in the park. If you have enough time, you can also climb Xiangshan Mountain to overlook the ancient city. You can see the spring column gushing out of the water by the spring pool, and the spring water is very clear. The buildings in the park are also a major attraction. Due to various historical reasons, many important cultural relics and buildings around Lijiang were moved here. It is recommended to go there as early as possible.

Black Dragon Pool Park does not require tickets, but it charges 50 yuan for the maintenance of the ancient city. Although I have visited more beautiful scenery, it is still pleasant to stroll in the park in the sun.

There is a mountain in the park called Elephant Mountain. It is not high, but you can overlook the whole Lijiang from the mountain. The view is very broad and the scenery is beautiful.

Some tourists online said that they encountered robbers in Xiangshan. No wonder the staff required more than four people to go up the mountain.

We arrived at Heilongtan before 8 o'clock, and there was no staff to ask for tickets at this time.

The reason why I recommend going to Heilongtan is that the best place to see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is in Heilongtan, where the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is reflected in the light blue autumn water. Two photography enthusiasts from Beijing had already occupied the best position for taking photos by the lake, but it was a pity that we went there a little late that day and missed the moment when the sun shone on the golden mountain.

Lijiang Museum is located in the Black Dragon Pool. The Black Dragon Pool is quite large, and many citizens do morning exercises in it.

We didn't plan to go to this old-fashioned Black Dragon Pool Park, but we decided to go there because it was inconvenient to take our little one for a long trip... But after we went there, we found out that it was a really good place. There are few people, it's quiet, there is no entrance fee, and there are no tour groups. It's a good place for pure leisure. It's less than 3 kilometers away from the main urban area of ​​Lijiang. There are many protected ancient buildings in the park... Isn't such a quiet scenery unique?

Black Dragon Pool Park, also known as Yuquan Park, was built in the second year of Emperor Qianlong's reign. It is the place with the most national-level protected cultural relics in Lijiang. The ancient buildings include Dragon God Temple, Deyue Tower, Suocui Bridge, Yuhuang Pavilion, Jietuo Forest Gate Tower, Wufeng Tower, Yiwen Pavilion, and Civilization Square.

Tickets are free, but visitors need to purchase the ancient city maintenance fee to enter, which is 50 yuan. Opening hours are 7:30-21:00.

The environment is good, you can see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and you can overlook the Lijiang Ancient Town when you climb to a high place. If you can get in for free, it is worth it. It is said that you can get in for free from the north gate, but I didn't try it. I guess it should be possible to pretend to be a local and rush in from the north gate before 7 am, haha

You can see the reflection of the iconic snow-capped mountains in Lijiang. The park is located in the northeast of the ancient city. The sunny weather in January and February is the best time to enjoy the scenery. Every corner of the park is fascinating.

If you are bored in the ancient city, I think Heilongtan Park is a good place to go. It takes more than ten minutes to walk from the waterwheel. When I went there, there was no entrance fee, and I don’t know if it is a free attraction. On the left side of the park are pavilions and towers, from which you can see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in the distance. On the right side are mostly Elephant Mountain, and there is a Dongba Ancient Books and Documents Museum at the foot of the mountain.

Going up the Yuhe River, you will see the Black Dragon Pond, Suocui Bridge, and Deyue Tower. In the near distance, the water in the pond is clear, with a few petals floating in the air; in the middle, weeping willows are swaying, with a few twisted branches interspersed; in the distance, snow-capped mountains stand tall, and a white cloud passes by, and the snow-capped mountains are sometimes vague and sometimes prominent. The mountains and waters complement each other, and the buildings and bridges are in between, and the humanities and nature complement each other.

It is not far from the ancient city and can be reached on foot from the ancient city. There are few people and the scenery is also good. It is a good place to view Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from a distance.

You can take photos of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in Heilongtan Park. If the weather is clear, the photos will turn out very well.

Now, Lijiang Ancient Town no longer charges the Ancient Town Maintenance Fee, but Heilongtan Park still insists on checking the Ancient Town Maintenance Fee ticket stub. If you don't have it, you need to collect it separately, which is equivalent to the ticket for Heilongtan Park costing 80 yuan. This is really a bit of a scam, and later I heard from the tour guide that it is actually just a people's park, and tourists need to pay 80 yuan, but locals don't seem to need it, which is really disgusting.

It’s not as stunning as it was ten years ago, but the scenery is still the same. Maybe my mindset has changed.

I went to Heilongtan Park in September.

No water, nothing to see.

We were excited all the way, but when we entered Heilongtan, we were stopped by the staff at the gate and asked to show the receipt for the maintenance fee of the ancient city. If we didn't have it, we had to buy another ticket for 40 yuan to enter. The ancient city has cancelled the maintenance fee, so how could we show it? It was clearly bullying tourists. And we found that not all people were checked, and it was a little inappropriate to rely on his naked eyes to distinguish which were tourists and which were locals! Then we had no choice but to give up. As we walked, a local aunt sold us 40 yuan for two to take us in. We didn't care. Finally, she asked for 10 yuan for two people. We resolutely ignored it. These things that make money without capital are despised. At the same time, I hope the scenic spot can also improve!

Entering from the entrance of Heilongtan, you will see a clear lake. The willow leaves by the lake are quietly swaying their charming figures. The road is slippery after the rain.

Like other parks, Heilongtan Park is considered by local people in Lijiang as a place for fetching water, taking a walk and doing morning exercises. Its practicality far outweighs its ornamental value. For photographers, Heilongtan Park is the best choice for taking pictures of the reflections of snow-capped mountains.

Tips: The most beautiful scenery is actually the section just after entering the park, so you don’t have to go very deep into the park.

Go north along the Yuhe Corridor to Heilongtan Park, which is free of admission. When we got to the gate, we were asked to show the ticket for the ancient city maintenance fee. We didn't sign up for a tour group, so how could we have that? The ticket seller said that if we didn't have it, we had to apply for a new one. Oh my god, there was no discount! We were going to give up, but we met a local aunt at the gate, who said she would take us in. We paid 10 yuan each and got in. The sun was about to set, and the large tour group had almost finished their visit. The Black Dragon Pool was not very big, and the water had dried up at this time. The scenery was a little discounted, but it was still very beautiful. Here, you can see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. You can clearly see the white snow on the top of the mountain, which looks even more pure and flawless against the blue sky.

The park is backed by a mountain and you can go up the mountain, but please note that it is forbidden to go up the mountain after 4 o'clock.

We went to Heilongtan Park in the afternoon. We heard that we could see the reflection of the snow-capped mountains, but we didn’t see it. Later we realized that it seemed like the time was wrong. It can only be seen in the early morning or evening, preferably in the early morning.

Get off at Yuyuanqiao Station and walk north along the river to the south gate of Heilongtan Park. Then something terrible happened. Although the ancient city maintenance fee has been cancelled this year, the security guard of the free Heilongtan Park still used a notice on the blackboard to make me buy a copy of the ancient city maintenance fee before letting me in (just think of it as the park ticket is 80 yuan, valid for multiple uses within a month).

After entering the park, head north towards the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. There are many good camera positions to take beautiful photos. The 80 yuan is quite worth it, haha! (Note that after going out of the north gate of the park and walking north for a while, there are still several good camera positions).

It took about 2 hours to walk from the South Gate to the North Gate and back to the South Gate.

The park in the city has a nice view and you can buy some small commodities, but don't go to the place where the Naxi master tells fortunes. There is a stone plate in front of the door, which rotates the 12 zodiac signs. It is a scam! After the master finishes the fortune telling, he takes out a book and says that you are suitable to donate this number (399, 599, etc.). The door said it was free!

For travelers, Black Dragon Pool is not on the same level as Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Lugu Lake. You can stop by when you have time.

Some of the scenery in Heilongtan is not worse than Jiuzhaigou, but of course, the trick is, here comes the point: the maintenance fee is 80 yuan, and there are old men and women of the Naxi ethnic group around who will tell you that it will cost 40 yuan or 30 yuan to take you to Heilongtan, but I want to say that there are wooden fences less than half a person's height on the roadside around Heilongtan, and many of them have been demolished by local people (you read that right, many wooden fences have been demolished)! Some are even a small path. You can enter without any fee! ! Putting aside the scenery, it is definitely bullying honest people! !
