Wanding Bridge is located on one side of the Wanding urban area. It is a boundary bridge on the border river between China and Myanmar. It is also an important channel for trade, economic, trade and cultural exchanges between the people of China and Myanmar. It is famous at home and abroad for its huge role in my country's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and diplomatic history.

It is not recommended for those who are not very interested in ports, expeditionary forces, etc.
If you're on your way, you can go there. A bridge worth knowing.
Ruili Wanding Bridge is the end point on the Chinese side of the famous anti-Japanese "blood line" - the China-Burma Highway.
I don't know if it's because the port gate is under construction or there are new regulations, but the police officer 👮 didn't let me cross the speed bump on the ground. The border gate is open to entry and exit. I remember that the Wanding Bridge on the right front was open to the outside. There's also an introduction to the expeditionary force passing through the gate to fight the war. A very good patriotic education, I give this point a five-star rating.
There is a bridge with a boundary marker on it. However, when we went there, the bridge deck was under construction and we didn't see anything.
There's not much scenery to see during repairs, so you need to check the situation before setting off.
It's worth a visit! There are still heroic female soldiers there!
When I went there, the bridge was under construction, and the scale was not large.
Wanding Bridge, located on the Wanding River on the southern edge of Wanding, Ruili, is the gateway to the southwest of the motherland, the terminus of National Highway 320, the link between the Burma Road and the Sino-Indian Highway (Stilwell Road), and the boundary bridge between China and Myanmar.
One of the border ports between China and Myanmar, and the starting point of the Stilwell Road.
The middle of the bridge is the border line, and Myanmar is on the other side. Seeing this bridge is actually a way to reminisce about history, and people who understand history will definitely come here.
When we arrived at Wanding Bridge, there were guards on duty and we were not allowed to stay because they were under construction, so we had to consider safety.
What kind of navigation is it? It leads us to the top of the mountain. It's totally wrong.
Whether you're walking on the Wanding Bridge or stopping to read the history written on the monument beside the bridge, you should definitely visit the Wanding Bridge when you come to Ruili.
Don’t forget history, work hard today, and look forward to the future.
The bridge is actually not very big, just a steel bridge, but the history it carries is very important. Opposite Wanding is Kutani City in Myanmar. Standing on the bridge, you can experience the unique style of Myanmar even without going abroad.
I was born and raised in Tengchong, and I'm quite familiar with the tourist routes, attractions, and folk customs of Tengchong, Mangshi, and Ruili. Tengchong is a health resort paradise with blue skies and white clouds every day, where volcanoes and hot springs coexist. Tengchong, the first city on the extreme border, Mangshi, is a prefecture-level city inhabited by the Jingpo and Dai ethnic groups. Going there is mainly to experience the ethnic customs and unique ethnic characteristics. Ruili is famous for its border characteristics. There is an old saying that describes Ruili like this: when you arrive in Ruili, it's like having one foot in China and one foot in Myanmar! If you want to visit Tengchong, Mangshi, and Ruili, please contact me! We mainly have sedans and commercial vehicles. Charter one of our cars to take you on a different tour of Yunnan! Important landmark buildings during World War II, telling the footsteps of history
Wanding Bridge is only 5 kilometers away from G320. A new bridge has long replaced the old bridge. The old bridge was a famous bridge during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. In August 1938, the "Burma Road" was fully opened, becoming the only channel for international aid materials to enter China at that time. Wanding Bridge became the transportation hub of the "Burma Road".
Wanding Bridge - the transnational bridge where hundreds of thousands of Chinese expeditionary forces went abroad to fight against Japanese fascism!
I braved the drizzle to get here, and then the rain got heavier. I looked from a distance in the car and saw soldiers standing guard, which looked very solemn!
It’s famous because it’s a bridge on the national border, so just walk across it!
I chose to come to Wanding Bridge because I learned about the 200,000 expeditionary forces that left from here and entered Burma. They fought against the Japanese, were defeated and crossed the Great Wall, and only a few thousand of them returned home.
A bridge connecting Myanmar and China. This is not an ordinary bridge. It was built by the expeditionary force.
On the way from Tengchong to Ruili, you'll pass by Wanding Town. While the scenery here isn't particularly touristy, the town is relatively poor and simple, but it holds historical significance. The Japanese 56th Division was annihilated here during the Yunnan-Wanxi Counteroffensive in the latter stages of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, a significant event. A worthwhile stop for those who enjoy reminiscing about history!
A dilapidated bridge, but one of great strategic and commercial significance
A very small and short iron bridge. It was here that the expeditionary force crossed the border.
We drove from Ruili along National Highway 320 to Wanding Bridge. Border control is currently very strict, and tourists are not allowed to approach. Wanding Bridge is the terminus of National Highway 320, which runs south from Lashio, Myanmar, to Yangon and northwest to India. It also serves as a link to the Sino-Indian (Stilwell) Road.
The China-Myanmar border bridge is the starting point of the Yunnan-Burma Highway.
A bridge on the China-Myanmar border, a bridge that bears witness to history.
There is no scenery to speak of at the Wanding Bridge Port, but the feeling here is still passionate about the heroic feat of the Chinese Expeditionary Force entering Burma from this bridge during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and fighting against the Japanese army.
History should not forget the heroes who once defended the motherland!
The China-Myanmar border is guarded by many soldiers and is worth a visit.
A bridge that bears witness to history, it was the bridge the expeditionary force used to set out on, and it was also the bridge Premier Zhou and Myanmar negotiated to rebuild. It is like a sentry silently watching the guests coming and going.
Wanding Bridge is located in Wanding County, about 20 kilometers from Ruili City. It's neither too far nor too close, but getting there is a bit of a hassle: the long-distance bus from Tengchong doesn't work, and there are no public buses. So I ruthlessly spent 200 yuan on a taxi to take me around Ruili. The farthest attraction, and the one I'd most longed to visit, was Wanding Bridge.
Parking wasn't allowed at Wanding Bridge, so the taxi driver quickly dropped me off and turned around to wait for me. I excitedly headed towards the bridge, my DSLR camera slung over my shoulder and my camera in my pocket. Seeing the five-star red flag flying high overhead was incredibly moving, so I used an ultra-wide-angle lens to snap a photo of it!
“No photos allowed!!”
I was startled by a loud shout from not far away.
Turning around, I saw a soldier, armed with a rifle, sternly waving his hand at me. It was then that I realized the entire Wanding Bridge area was completely deserted, with no tourists, residents, or passersby. It looked like a military-controlled area, as if a major war was imminent.
I'd spent a long time excitedly reaching the famous Wanding Bridge, but was not allowed to approach or take photos. What bad luck! Undeterred, I approached the soldier, flashing my ID and saying, "I'm a tourist, I came all the way here."
I know you are a tourist, go away!
well...
Fortunately, I have the photo above, otherwise it would have been a waste of time.
Back in the taxi, I asked the driver to drive slowly away and scanned the scene with the camera. The following is a screenshot of the video.
I wanted to visit Wanding Bridge because hundreds of thousands of expeditionary forces entered Burma from here and disappeared from then on; and the Japanese also invaded China from here and eventually retreated from this bridge.
When others come here, they can visit, pay tribute, and take photos as they please, but I can't do that. It's also because Myanmar is in turmoil, and it's said that large numbers of refugees are pouring into China every day.
The taxi driver said that people used to be allowed to take photos freely, but now it might be because of the war in Myanmar?!
I just like to see the border, the surrounding shops are cheaper than other
Haha, there are tourists taking photos on both sides...
There was a slight traffic jam near the tourist attraction, mostly tourist buses, demonstrating the Chinese people's enthusiasm for travel. Wanding Bridge was once the only border bridge between China and Myanmar capable of transporting supplies. On the other side of the river lies Myanmar, where children can be seen playing in local villages. A stark contrast between domestic and international life is created here. This side of the bridge is bustling with tourists, venturing into Myanmar to take photos; on the other side, there are almost no people. A few children are seen playing in the distance, as people go about their daily lives, unconcerned with the sight of a tourist attraction.
Going to Wanding Bridge is definitely to remember history. If you have any stories, you can search Baidu.
In 1942, 100,000 Chinese Expeditionary Force crossed the Wanding Bridge to go abroad to fight against the Japanese, composing a tragic song!
Wanding Bridge is a famous bridge from the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. In August 1938, the Burma Road was fully opened, becoming the sole route for international aid to enter China. Wanding Bridge became a transportation hub for the road. During World War II, the Japanese blockaded all of China's seaports, leaving the Burma Road as the only land route for the international anti-fascist camp to deliver strategic supplies to China. Wanding became the headquarters and distribution center for the Allied forces of China, the United States, and Britain. Hundreds of military vehicles transported supplies to the interior daily, and hundreds of thousands of Chinese Expeditionary Force members crossed the border through Wanding, marking the beginning of Wanding's development. Across the Wanding River lies the Burmese town of Jiugu, where the sounds of chickens and dogs could be heard from each other. Border residents traveled freely between the two countries, engaging in friendly trade. Many border residents had international marriages. For example, in Hunban Village, which has just over 50 households, over 20 of them were related to international marriages.
You can see the inscription on the Wanding Bridge at a glance, with three big characters.
We went there on January 29, 2016. At that time, many trucks carrying watermelons from Myanmar to China were going through customs on Wanding Bridge.
Wanding Bridge is the China-Myanmar border bridge on the Burma Road. It has ordinary scenery and serves only as a historical memorial.
Wanding Bridge is still in use. Every day, many trucks from Myanmar enter China through Wanding Bridge, transporting goods (fruits) to China for sale.
There is a customs office in Wanding Town, and from Wanding Bridge you can see Myanmar right in front of you;
It's worth a visit, it feels like a trip to the China-Myanmar border!
It's a bit solemn. The rest is ok, nothing special.
I have read a lot of literature about educated youth, and I remember this bridge. Walking across it is like fulfilling my wish.
Wanding is located south of Dehong, across the river from Myanmar. "Wanding" is a Dai transliteration meaning "sun at its zenith," hence its nickname. It is one of Yunnan's three border-open cities.
The China-Myanmar border is separated by a gate. It turns out that locals use facial recognition to enter and exit.
The scenery isn't impressive, but it's a must-see. The Stilwell Road, the Chinese exit from World War II, was also where the revolutionary martyrs of the expeditionary force passed through. If you're tired, there's Menggong Jade nearby, where you can pick up some pendants! In the afternoon, there's a huge selection of fresh crabs imported from Myanmar, all at a very low price of 30 yuan per kilogram!
Across the river, Myanmar is on the other side and China is on this side.
The war of resistance was not easy, we should cherish peace and remember the martyrs.
The profound memory left by the Chinese nation's struggle against foreign aggression for survival
It's a place worth visiting in Ruili, very memorable
This Wanding Bridge can only be said to be a dividing line between two countries. There is nothing special about it and it is only worth visiting.
Wanding Bridge is the gateway to China's southwest, the terminus of National Highway 320, the key to the Burma Road, and the link between the China-India Highway. It stretches north from Kunming to Shanghai, south from Lashio in Myanmar to Yangon, and northwest to India. It is renowned both domestically and internationally for its significant role in my country's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and diplomatic history.
Wanding Bridge, located on the urban side of Wanding, is the gateway to China's southwest, a key to the Yunnan-Mianyang Highway, and a link between the China-India Highway. It's the terminus of National Highway 320. It connects Kunming to Shanghai in the north, Lashio in Myanmar to Yangon in the south, and northwest to India. Truly a single bridge, it secures the border from all directions. Its strategic location, forged by nature and its historical significance, has earned it international acclaim and garnered worldwide attention.
Because there is the oldest Pao Lu Da, opened by a grandfather. It is on the left side of the scenic park! It is about 10 yuan per portion. The smallest portion of coconut cream is 15 yuan.
It is a boundary bridge on the river between China and Myanmar. In the evening, you can see Burmese children who go to school in China crossing the bridge back to Myanmar.
I mainly looked at the places where the Chinese Expeditionary Force passed and fought, and saw many pictures of Kuomintang generals.
It can be said that the bridge is a barrier that cannot be opened from any direction! Because of its dangers created by nature and its grandeur created by history, it is famous both at home and abroad and attracts worldwide attention!
Yunnan, Ruili, Wanding Port.
A bridge at Wanding Port on the China-Myanmar border.
It is not wide and very short, but it connects the two countries.
It's amazing that a bridge is the boundary between two countries.
The China-Myanmar border is always worth remembering.
There is a Wanding border trade market next to the bridge, selling many daily necessities from Myanmar.
The wooden planks on the Wanding Bridge are made of teak, which is strong and durable. Today, the bridge is no longer open to traffic, and a cement bridge has been built next to it as a daily passage.
This place used to be prosperous, but now it is deserted.
Wanding Bridge, located on the Wanding side of the city, is a bridge crossing the border river between China and Myanmar. Originally built in 1938 during the rush to repair the Burma Road, Wanding Bridge served as a crucial international transportation hub for my country's international connections. Across the river is the Burmese city of Jiugu. Border residents are allowed to cross, but mainland residents are not.
There is nothing special about the bridge itself, but its meaning is different. It is a cross-border bridge on the China-Myanmar border. There is a boundary marker in the middle of the bridge to remind people not to cross the border. Next to the bridge is the national gate, and transport vehicles are inspected at the gate.
The duty-free shop by the bridge is good and the prices are very favorable.
You can take a look when you pass by, after all, it is a landmark building on the border. But the Pao Lu Da there is very delicious.
This is where the expeditionary force set out, and it has historical significance. But it is just a bridge.
It is a bridge connecting China and Myanmar. This bridge is Myanmar. You can see Burmese people passing by.
I passed by Wanding Bridge on the way to Baoshan. I had only heard the story of this bridge but didn't have time to learn about its history.
Wanding, formerly the smallest city in China, with a population of 10,000, offers a glimpse into the Chinese Expeditionary Force's fight against Japanese imperialism at Wanding Bridge.
Tourists are not allowed to approach the bridge, and can only watch the passing vehicles. What is strange is that there are Chinese advertisements written on the building opposite Myanmar.
It’s a small port, but it’s packed with tourists who all want to take pictures at the border. It’s so chaotic, and I wonder what the Burmese people on the other side think.
Wanding Bridge was the main route for the expeditionary force into Myanmar. Here, you can see the daily lives of the Burmese people across the border. There's also a ChiaDutyFree store where you can buy duty-free goods. The bridge is quite old and has a fence, so you can try to get one arm across.
