When we went, the cable car was under maintenance. We could have taken it a day later, but maybe it wasn't fate, so we only went to Yunshanping. It was quite pleasant to walk around the mountain on a sunny day. Since we couldn't take the cable car, we just let it go and wandered around.

I met a sheep on the road~

We found the bark (and flowers) in the mountains. We recognized it immediately because we'd eaten it before, so we grabbed a bag of it. It's a real treat! I love the texture.

The main attractions in the Yulong Snow Mountain Scenic Area include Blue Moon Valley, Glacier Park, Yunshanping, Yakping and other major attractions.

Blue Moon Valley has the lowest altitude and is located in the valley at the foot of the mountain. It is mainly populated by water, which comes from the melting of snow-capped mountain glaciers and converges into rivers.

The Glacier Park has the highest altitude and is located just below the main peak, Fanzidou. To see the peaks and glaciers, you need to take a cable car up the mountain to visit.

Yunshanping is an alpine meadow located halfway up the mountain. It mainly features forests and grasslands, and you need to take a cable car up the mountain to visit it.

Yakping is another meadow pasture located halfway up the mountain. You need to take a cable car up the mountain to visit it.

Several scenic spots have independent cable cars, with shuttle buses connecting them. Yunshanping and Blue Moon Valley are very close, so after visiting Yunshanping, you can walk to Blue Moon Valley from the cable car stop. You'll need to take a shuttle bus to Glacier Park and Yakping. I felt like one day wasn't enough time to visit all four, so I planned to visit Glacier Park and Yakping first today, leaving Yunshanping and Blue Moon Valley for another day.

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain offers three types of tickets: the most expensive is the cable car summit ticket, 140 yuan; the second most expensive is the Yaoniuping cable car ticket, 65 yuan; and the third most expensive is the Yunshanping cable car ticket, 60 yuan. All three tickets include access to the "Blue Moon Valley" attraction at the foot of the mountain, but none include the 100 yuan mountain entrance fee. This strange rule is baffling. The entrance fee requires manual scanning of a QR code at a toll booth before entry. This has caused traffic congestion at this important scenic spot and increased the number of staff required for specialized services. Why can't the entrance fee be purchased online? I can only say that this may be a move by the local authorities to increase employment.

There were no staff to guide us along the way, and no clear signs. We wandered blindly until a kind guide finally pointed us to the transfer building. All visitors bound for Yakping, Yunshanping, and Blue Moon Valley had to queue separately at the transfer building to catch the scenic area buses. The sheer volume of people inside was truly astonishing. The line stretched endlessly, people practically shoulder to shoulder. I thought we'd reached the end, but downstairs, there was another endless line. Most of the people were groups, wearing colorful down jackets and each carrying an oxygen tank. Wasn't this the group heading to Yunshanping? Yunshanping is only 3,200 meters above sea level, far lower than Goddess Mountain at Lugu Lake. At that altitude, were down jackets necessary? Not to mention oxygen! We were the odd ones out, dressed in thin summer clothes. We hadn't expected Yunshanping to be so cold on a rainy day. The scenic area bus drove for a long time and stopped at the cable car entrance of Yunshanping. Blue Moon Valley is not far away. Recalling that there was no one at the queue entrance of Blue Moon Valley in the queue hall. If I knew that the Yunshanping cable car entrance was so close to Blue Moon Valley, could I get on the bus to Blue Moon Valley directly?

The cable car leading to Yunshanping has a cabin for 8 people. Yunshanping is a small plain on the mountainside. After passing through a small primitive forest, there is a grassland. The wooden plank road surrounds the lawn, where many cattle and sheep are grazed. A few brave sheep will cross the fence to ask for food from tourists. They will eat whatever the tourists give them. It was the first time I saw carnivorous sheep, and they were lamb skewers. I wondered what the sheep would think if they knew they were eating their own kind.

Yunshanping is also a natural place for wedding photos. On the lawn in the distance, dozens of newlyweds occupied every corner. It was worth it even if it was cold, for the beauty. This scenic spot was a bit disappointing. Coupled with the rainy weather, its beauty could not be seen.

Yunshanping is a forested grassland east of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, covering approximately 0.5 square kilometers and situated at an altitude of approximately 3,000 meters. Surrounded by lush greenery, Yunshanping is a scene of snow-capped mountains towering into the clouds like a jade screen.

Legend has it that Yunshanping is the place where the first Naxi couple committed suicide for love. Legend has it that Kaimei and Yulepai, the pioneers of the Naxi practice of love suicide, were separated by the feudal polygamous marriage system. Yearning for a freer life, they both traveled to Yunshanping to commit suicide. Therefore, during the Torch Festival in June, young men and women from villages near Yulong Mountain craft paper figurines depicting Kaimei and Yulepai and travel to Yunshanping to pay tribute to the first couple who committed suicide for love. Driving 25 kilometers north from Snow Mountain Park, you'll enter an expansive alpine meadow known as Ganhaizi. Ganhaizi is a natural meadow pasture with gently undulating terrain and dotted with low pine trees. Amidst the rolling grasslands, yaks appear and disappear amidst the trees and grass, creating a breathtaking scene of plateau pastureland.

It is considered the entrance to the "Third Kingdom of Jade Dragon" in Naxi mythology. Here, the majestic Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is within easy reach, and the thousand-year-old glaciers are clearly visible. In addition to admiring the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and appreciating the uniqueness and tranquility of the primeval forest, you can also enjoy the songs and dances of the Naxi and other ethnic minorities.

In ancient times, when mountains and valleys could fall in love, there lived a pair of lovers at the foot of Jade Dragon Mountain. The man was named Aruo, and the woman was named Aming. Aruo and Aming reached the age of rain in the wind and cloud producing region, and during the ripening season of Torch Pears, they quietly fell in love. The seeds of love sown during the Torch Festival were finally blossoming and bearing fruit. Unpredictable events could happen, and Aruo and Aming's free love wasn't about praying for a lifelong marriage. Instead, they longed to die for love in Jade Dragon Mountain's Land of Death, to live out the eternal life of lovers in the afterlife. As the Naxi people say, "To die for love once is better than to be emperor for three lifetimes." Aruo and Aming's free love didn't violate this ancient custom. They cut a lock of their hair, reverently burned incense, and exchanged a token of love, a "youwu" (a token of love). They agreed to die for love in Jade Dragon Mountain's Land of Death during the Torch Festival.

At 3,000 meters above sea level, it's perfectly possible to hike halfway up the mountain without an oxygen tank, but there's not much scenery. It was drizzling when we got there, so we walked around Yunshanping and then headed back down.

My Yunnan Travel Notes: I'm Waiting for the Wind to Come - Yunnan Lijiang/Lugu Lake/Shangri-La Travel Notes http://www.mafengwo.cn/i/17066239.html

The Yunshanping Cableway is also known as the small cableway, and the ride only takes about five or six minutes.

The cable car drops off passengers in a forest. It takes about 15 minutes to walk in the forest, and then suddenly you see a large lawn. This is Yunshanping.

There is a long plank road surrounding the central lawn. If you walk slowly along the entire path, it will take about 40 minutes.

Many tourists who joined the tour group, probably because they were short on time, did not walk on the plank road at all. They just took photos in front of the small square when they arrived at Yunshanping, resulting in a very dense crowd of tourists there.

But in fact, the angle from which you can see the snow-capped mountains behind is not the best. When you walk counterclockwise on the plank road for about 10 minutes, you will find the best angle to see the snow-capped mountains. There are also fewer tourists here.

The scenery along the way was beautiful. I originally felt a little regretful for not going to Yakping, but now I think Yunshanping is also very beautiful.

There are many places near Yunshanping where you can rent ethnic costumes. A set costs 20 yuan. I think the best-looking costume is the one I chose, the bright red Tibetan costume.

While visiting Yunshanping, we also saw some sheep and horses grazing leisurely.

By velahuang |

There is a large viewing platform at the arrival point of the Yunshanping cable car, from which you can overlook the vast valley at the foot of the snow-capped mountains. The momentum is very majestic and it is worth staying for a while to experience it.

The front section of Yunshanping is a long stretch of lush fir forest, which is usually only visited by individual tourists. Tour groups go directly to the scenic area to take the battery car.

Therefore, the whole journey is very quiet, the air is very fresh, and scattered cattle, horses and birds appear from time to time on both sides of the woods.

After about a twenty-minute hike, we arrived at a large meadow, with snow-capped peaks in the background. This must be Yunshanping. This is where the tour buses and the hiking trail meet, hence the bustle. The snow-capped mountains opposite us weren't covered in much snow; you'd have to go further in to see the main peak, where the snow-covered sides were even more beautiful. This stretch of land was also bustling with wedding photography crews: assistants toiling with lighting, drones hovering overhead, and a plump bride in a dazzling mango-gold wedding dress, a striking figure. Her aura was so strong that she could hold her own. The goats and horses we saw along the way were strangely skinny. I remembered I had a leftover steamed bun in my bag from the previous morning, and just as I pulled it out, a skinny goat gobbled it up in one gulp.

Yunshanping is closer to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and has a lower altitude.

This place is suitable for people who can't accept the big cable car. It is exquisite and beautiful. You can walk to it in 15 minutes after getting off the small cable car.

I originally wanted to go up to Yulong Snow Mountain, but the cable car was out of service due to the strong wind that day. Later I took the Yunshanping cable car. It turned out that this place is quite beautiful. I recommend it.

By Hey ha ha |

Although the taxi driver kept saying that Jade Dragon Snow Mountain was a scam and there was nothing fun to do on the way to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, we still thought it was beautiful when we arrived at Yunshanping.

Strolling along the Yunshanping boardwalk, you'll see trees, some towering, some withering, on either side, giving you a glimpse into the pristine beauty of nature. The lush greenery makes for beautiful photos. Next to the boardwalk is a more pristine path, which offers a more picturesque experience. Several couples taking wedding photos in Yunshanping also attest to its beauty.

While walking along the trail in Yunshanping, I happened to see a group of sheep that were grazing and resting in Yunshanping moving to a new location. I was startled by the bell of the leader sheep, but I found it very interesting to see them up close.

By Qingxue Tingting |

If you go to Yunshanping, I personally feel that there is no need to rent an oxygen tank. I don’t need it with my physical condition, and I think normal people don’t need it either.

Like Shangri-La, the meadows here cannot be stepped on, even in winter, and you can only walk on the plank road.

By Matcha Mama |

Tips: It is recommended to reserve two hours for the entire trip.

The wooden plank road is built between the dense and boundless fir forest. Walking slowly along the trail, it feels like entering the forest in the Wizard of Oz.

Here, even the dead trees look so beautiful, and the sad legend of the Valley of Love Suicide adds a touch of romance and beauty to this place.

Hidden deep in the jungle lies a vast lawn, offering a close-up view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The gently undulating lawn stretches for a thousand meters, its verdant grass stretching to the horizon. Free-range goats roam the lawn in herds, creating a truly picturesque scene.

By Woody grass |

Yunshanping features a small cable car, seating six per car, so waiting times are minimal and the ride is short. After disembarking, you'll find an observation deck offering panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains. For this route, it's often recommended to take the scenic area's eco-friendly bus, which provides access both up the mountain and to Blue Moon Valley below. You can choose to board the bus and then walk down the plank road. From mid-mountain, the glacier appears directly before your eyes, majestically framed by the alpine meadows, a verdant carpet. Yunshanping is actually a primeval forest, and walking along the plank road, you'll be flanked by saplings that appear 300 to 400 years old. In the Naxi language, Yunshanping is known as the Place of Suicide for Love, hence its nickname, the Valley of Suicide for Love.

By White White |

It is simply a natural oxygen bar, with a lot of plants, it is really beautiful, and there are sheep and horses. I don’t know if you have seen the movie Heidi and Grandpa, it really has the flavor of European mountains!

The rain couldn't stop us, it was so beautiful!

By Jian'an |

In the summer, Yunshanping is very beautiful. The air is fresh, wild horses roam freely, and sheep graze leisurely. The problem is that it looks like a high-definition TV.

By red ant |

A one-kilometer hike along the plank road leads to Yunshanping, nestled in the valley. Tall spruce trees line the trail, many old, fallen, their trunks gradually disappearing into the dense undergrowth. Yunshanping is said to be the site of Naxi men and women committing suicide for love. A vast grassland stretches at the foot of the snow-capped mountains, where herds of cattle and sheep graze in fenced areas. The afternoon sun slants across a corner of the grassland, creating a distinct, patchwork of shade.

By Ordinary life |

It's a very poetic place. Although the story is very sad, the scenery among the clouds and mist is very beautiful!

By 咴咴儿 |

Fortunately, the scenery is beautiful, so it's worth it.

Walking along the plank road, you'll see tall, lush spruce trees, each one bearing the rings of time. Walking through the forest, breathing in the high concentration of negative oxygen ions, you'll feel refreshed. A camera can't capture the sensations your eyes and body experience, but it's definitely worth the trip.

Fallen trees can be seen everywhere. One is very large. How many years must it have taken to grow?

After walking along the plank road for less than 20 minutes, you will suddenly see an open area in front of you, with the snow-capped Jade Dragon Snow Mountain behind it. There are also herds of cattle and sheep dotted on the lawn like stars. It is so beautiful.

Unfortunately, the weather wasn't clear enough, with no blue sky, and it was about to rain. Normally, the grass should be green in May, but then I thought that the altitude here is a bit higher than other places, and the weather is a bit colder, so it might be green later. It would be so beautiful if the grass was green everywhere in a while.

By Gege V |

It is an alpine meadow on the hillside of the main peak of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, also known as the "Valley of Love Suicide", with an altitude of 3,240 meters. From here you can see Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, as well as cattle, sheep and horses from afar. The weather on the mountain is completely different from that at the foot of the mountain. The snow-capped mountains are completely invisible due to the clouds and mist.

By Jiang Hong |

This vast, tranquil meadow, surrounded by towering ancient trees and densely covered with vines, is sparsely populated, resembling a paradise. At the foot of the mountain, herds of yaks graze, their tinkling bells tied around their necks, lending an ethereal feeling to the quiet meadow. Yunshanping is the site of a love suicide in Naxi mythology, the "Third Kingdom of Jade Dragon." Visitors can walk along the wooden plank path that circles the meadow, admiring the vibrant wildflowers, towering fir trees in the distance, fallen ancient trees, yaks grazing leisurely at the foot of the mountain, and the sea of clouds pressing down on the snow-capped peaks...

By Hani Donuts |

This route is really suitable for hiking and taking photos (there are many people taking wedding photos along the way).

By Shi Dayi |

After descending from the summit, we took the scenic area's eco-friendly shuttle bus to Yunshanping, a 0.5 square kilometer forested grassland east of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain at 3,240 meters above sea level. Known in the Naxi language as "Wulu Youcuige," meaning a place of suicide for love, it is considered the "Third Kingdom of Jade Dragon" in Naxi legend.

From Yunshanping, you can see the panoramic view of the highest peak of Yulong Snow Mountain from a distance. The viewing angle is very broad.

By Wine Heart |

I want to be honest about Yunshanping, it is super beautiful, and the experience is different from the big cable car but definitely not inferior.

By Watching the clouds roll and unfold |

Yunshanping (there is no Yakping), a huge lawn hidden in the original spruce forest, is 3,240 meters above sea level. It is called "Youwu Pavilion" in Naxi language, which means "the place of death of love". It is also known as Jinxiu Valley. It is located in the mountain stream at the eastern foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, to the lower right of the main peak of the snow mountain.

It was almost ten o'clock when we arrived here. Clouds and mist were swirling over the Qingfeng Mountain.

It's considered the entrance to the "Third Kingdom of the Jade Dragon" in Naxi mythology. Here, the majestic Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is within easy reach, yet its thousand-year-old glaciers were nowhere to be seen during our visit. The overcast weather seemed to indicate our fate with the snow-capped mountain, which refused to lift its mysterious veil to offer us a glimpse.

Yunshanping is said to be the place where the first Naxi couple committed suicide.

Of all the spruce trees around here, which one is the tree of death of love?!

Let's take a look at the green lawn. The lawn under our feet is not as smooth and undulating as we imagined. It is also a scene of green grass and romantic mountain flowers.

My roommate seemed to really enjoy the various sheep grazing leisurely, so I took quite a few photos of them.

Before leaving this place, I kept wondering if the snow mountain could lift its veil so that I could see it.

Perhaps my sincerity moved her. While waiting in line for the cable car, just before I left her, the clouds above the snow-capped mountains suddenly dispersed. Although there was no clear blue sky and only the tip of the iceberg was visible, her beauty had already shocked me deeply. She was particularly beautiful and dazzling against the backdrop of the gray main peak, especially a flash of white lightning, which I didn't know was the reflection of the sunlight. It's a pity that my roommate didn't take a picture, but this scene and feeling have been deeply engraved in my mind: Snow mountain, your slight appearance is so stunning.

By Sunei River |

The completely independent trip to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain cost a few hundred dollars less than the tour group and was also very relaxing.

I had previously learned about the three major scenic spots in Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and after comparing them, I chose Yunshanping. First, the scenery is beautiful and suitable for taking photos. Second, the price of the cable car is a bit lower. Third, it is very close to Blue Moon Valley.

At 11:00 am, bus No. 7 departs from Lijiang Red Sun Square to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Bus No. 7 is a small van that usually takes 5 people. It costs 20 yuan per person and takes about 40 minutes.

After entering the mountain, you will take a scenic area car to the cable car point, then take the cable car up the mountain. After getting off the cable car, walk for about half an hour to reach a viewing point where you can see the snow-capped mountains up close. Then walk around the viewing point upwards, and it will be almost over in three hours.

The scenery along the way is beautiful. Towering trees reach the sky, and the snow-capped mountains in the distance are barely visible. The sun is generous in its care for this land. Protected animals are also strolling with the tourists at the foot of the snow-capped mountains. The plank road between the trees is well-built. It is a very romantic moment to take pictures while walking.

By Fanfan |

If there is an afterlife, and we cannot be together, I will commit suicide for love in Yunshanping and bury everything here, like a dandelion, which will be scattered by the wind, floating in the air, and the love that can never stay.

By Xiaobu |

We had originally planned to climb the peak of the snow-capped mountains. Everyone packed oxygen tanks and down jackets, and spent the entire night worrying about altitude sickness before departure. But the tour guide simply said it wasn't fun and canceled the trip because it didn't snow. This further demonstrated our naiveté, assuming that seeing snow-capped mountains in the itinerary meant we'd have to climb them. In vain, we only made it as far as Yunshanping. Seeing the snow-capped mountains for the first time was still quite exciting for the Cantonese people, who were busy shouting and snapping pictures.

By Monchhichi |

There is a touching love story here, where Brother Yulong and his girlfriend committed suicide. The story is very sad and the scenery is beautiful.

By Farmer and Wild Man |

By Xiaomu |

We didn't climb to the top, but just looked at Yunshanping. We couldn't see the snow-capped mountains because it was raining, but it would have been more beautiful if it was sunny.

By winner09 |

Generally, people don’t go to Yunshanping on a one-day tour. We bought a basic one-day tour package. After playing in the Glacier Park for an hour, we got off and took the park’s eco-friendly bus (towards Blue Moon Valley) to come here. The first stop was Yunshanping.

Cable car ticket 55: After getting off the car, it takes about 20 minutes to walk to the top of the mountain. The spruce flat with the snow-capped mountains as the background is very nice, and there are sheep that actively ask tourists for food.

We booked tickets for Yulong Snow Mountain on China-TravelNote. We arrived at the north gate of Shuhe Ancient Town at 8:30 AM and boarded a tour bus up the mountain. We stopped at a rest area along the way for food and to rent oxygen suits. We arrived at the entrance of Yulong Snow Mountain around 9:20 AM. Yulong Snow Mountain was the most expensive of all the attractions we'd visited, with entrance fees, cable car fees, and a mountain entrance fee. On top of that, there was also an 80 RMB ancient city maintenance fee. Since we didn't take the cable car to the top of the mountain, only the Yunshanping cable car halfway up, our total cost was 380 RMB. Visiting Yunshanping in winter was a delight for someone in the south, where snow is rare. We went to Yulong Snow Mountain primarily because we were captivated by the waters of Blue Moon Valley. Although I couldn't capture its beauty in the end, it was truly stunning.

Yunshanping, located on Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, is accessible via a small cable car. Surrounded by spruce trees, this alpine meadow is truly beautiful. A poignant legend circulates about it.

By Hua's daughter |

Yunshanping, I insisted on going there because of the three words "Valley of Suicide". I was looking forward to seeing with my own eyes the entrance to the third kingdom of Jade Dragon in the hearts of the Naxi people. In fact, this is an alpine meadow, located halfway up the mountain on the back of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Putting aside the Valley of Suicide, walking in the primitive spruce forest that covers the mountains and blocks the sky, there is a solemn and mysterious feeling of leading to a holy place. When I walked out of the forest and saw a plank road extending into a grassland, I had an urge to cry. The snow-capped mountain stood on the other side of the grassland, and the top of the mountain was surrounded by a layer of clouds, like a girl with a veil, making people want to take a glimpse of her true face.

By gimoon |

It is a scenic spot in Yulong Snow Mountain. You can take a small cable car to go up. It feels a bit like the Unfeeling Valley in martial arts novels.

Yunshanping is an alpine meadow, about the size of 2-3 football fields. At this time of year, in early April, the grass is not yet fully green, so I strongly recommend everyone to come and take a look.

Yunshanping is an alpine meadow, more than 3,000 meters above sea level. If you don't bring thick clothes, don't worry. There are places to rent clothes in the scenic area. The natural scenery here is well preserved, and it is also a good place to see snow-capped mountains.

Yunshanping is located halfway up the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. It got its name because it is planted with tall spruces. The spruces surround a meadow where many cattle and sheep are kept. In the distance is the tall, misty Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, with blue sky, white clouds and green meadows. The scenery is nice and suitable for people who are not in good health and cannot climb up due to the high altitude, so they can relax.

By The donkey that has been unloaded |

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is divided into several scenic areas: the Glacier Park, Spruce Terrace, Yak Terrace, Blue Moon Valley, and Dongba Culture Valley. People usually take the cable car to the top of the mountain.

We gathered early in the morning in front of the water truck. We booked a car from an outdoor club for 90 yuan per person, with seven people sharing the car. Jade Dragon Snow Mountain was not far away. The entrance to the scenic area was on the main road, but it was quite far from there. The only way to get there was by car, which took half an hour. Everyone else in our car went to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Cableway, while we went to the Yunshanping Scenic Area.

Further ahead is the Visitor Center, where you can transfer to the scenic area's various attractions. We took the bus to the Yunshanping Cableway, which is short, with a drop of just over 300-400 meters. The station is right at the end of the scenic area. This area was once a dammed lake, which has since dried up and become a lawn. Because of its seclusion, many young Naxi men and women fleeing marriages once hid here, leading to its current nicknames: Lover's Valley or the Valley of Suicide. This is probably just a gimmick.

After passing through a spruce forest, the view suddenly opened up. A lawn, about a mile or two in radius, was surrounded by spruce trees, and beyond them rose snow-capped mountains. In winter, the grass was a golden yellow, the dark brown spruce forest, the ochre mountains dotted with snow, and large white clouds nestled against the mountaintops, against the backdrop of a blue sky. The overlapping layers of color created a magnificent and majestic beauty. It was truly breathtaking! Walking along the plank path that skirted the lawn, scattered cattle and sheep dotted the landscape, adding to the dynamic atmosphere.

There are not many tourists here and the place is not big. We often sit down by the roadside, thinking quietly, listening and gazing into the distance. In my opinion, this is the best place to appreciate Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.

Yunshanping is located within the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Scenic Area, so you need to enter the scenic area. The entrance fee is 130 yuan, with free admission for those over 60 years old. However, you also need to purchase a shuttle bus and cable car tickets. Yunshanping isn't very high, so the climb should take about an hour, and the fun should last about two hours. The scenic area offers simple meals, which are adequate. There are restaurants further down the mountain, in Blue Moon Valley.

If you have time, you can take the cable car to the top of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and then take the scenic shuttle bus to Yunshanping in the afternoon. Blue Moon Valley is at the foot of the mountain and is more convenient with the shuttle bus.

There are electric cars from Yunshanping to Blue Moon Valley, but the walk only takes 20 minutes.

When I walked through a forest, the sunrise was shining through the gaps, which was very beautiful.

A wooden plank road, built between towering, dense fir trees, led us deep into the jungle. The snow was falling ever heavier, coating the path with frost. Staff placed warning signs every few meters: "Beware of Slips." Beyond the path lay the dense, boundless jungle. A night of snow had blanketed the jungle with a thick layer of snow, and the lush needles and branches were covered in a dense dusting of snow. I was captivated by this blanket of white, and I couldn't resist the urge to step off the path and into the jungle. My footprints left their mark on the soft, fluffy snow, and I knew my old friend had arrived.

Hidden deep within the plateau jungle, this vast lawn reveals itself from afar, surrounded by deep, lush primeval forest, layer upon layer, stretching across the hillside. Behind the hillside, obscured by thick fog, lies the peak of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. While I was disappointed not to be able to photograph the summit at Yunshanping, as I had hoped, the gift of experiencing the abundant snow far outweighed that slight regret.

Yunshanping, which usually takes only an hour or two to explore, took us three or four. We walked, stopped, took photos, and played. We flung snowflakes into the air, shook snow off branches, chased goats, and built little snowmen under the trees.

Nestled in the mountains at the eastern foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, it's said to be the place where the first Naxi couple committed suicide for love. It truly feels like Jiuzhaigou.

Yunshanping is a relatively primitive forest, very beautiful and worth a visit.

Looking at the snow-capped mountains from afar, the sun is shining brightly. It’s hot! Very hot!

Blue sky, white clouds, mountains, woods, meadows... Really, if you want to include so many scenes in one photo at the same time, there are not many places that can do it~

In winter, there is little snow on top and little grass below, but global warming is the only solution.

This place is reached by a small forest cable car. It is said that this is the place where lovers committed suicide in the past. From Yunshanping, you can see a beautiful scenery like the Alps. Below is the forest grassland, and in the distance is the snow-capped mountain barrier. There are goats grazing on the lawn, which are unique to the area. You can get close to them, which is very nice. Unfortunately, due to weather conditions, the snow-capped mountains are hidden in the clouds. You can buy a lock and make a wish at the entrance of the scenic spot. It depends on your needs. The main purpose is to experience the feeling of the plateau forest and breathe fresh air.

On the avenue, there are a constant stream of cars and horses whizzing past with the sound of accelerators.

There are just a lot of spruce trees, the scenery is not that impressive, as long as you like the woods. There is a combined bus to Blue Moon Valley, and it is recommended that you buy the full ticket here if you are not strong enough.

The scenery is nice, there are a lot of sheep, they are not afraid of strangers at all, hahahaha, super cute.

After listening to the story of love suicide, I feel more attached to this place

Yunshanping is very beautiful. The clouds in the sky are so low that they bury the entire mountaintop in fog. It's like a fairyland.

When the weather is good, you can see the main peak of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain at Yunshanping, but I was not so lucky. All I saw was the alpine meadow shrouded in clouds, but it was still very beautiful.

Surrounding the green lawn is a circle of wooden plank roads, which are especially suitable for the elderly to walk on. Coming here, people feel quiet and breathe smoothly, and they really become one with nature.

Embracing the earth, every moment passed well. That place really looked like a paradise on earth.

It was June, and the grass was greener than in May. The scenery was probably the same as Pudacuo, with the green of nature, tranquility, and harmony between cattle and sheep.

Yunshanping, tall fir trees, green lawns...

Yunshanping and Blue Moon Valley are four consecutive lakes, all with rippling blue water, the lake and the sky are the same color. The first one is very enjoyable, the second one is a good place to take photos, and the third and fourth ones are aesthetically tiring.

The scenery here is pretty good, you can see the peak from a distance, but you can't see the snow up close enough.

One of the two flats on Yunlong Snow Mountain, the other is called Yak Flat. When visiting, be sure not to touch the railings, as there are leeches on the mountain.

Taking a small cable car, you can directly reach Yunshanping, where there are towering ancient trees, scattered among which are dead trees covered with green grass and pine cones. The woods are dotted with pink cuckoos, birds are singing, and insects are chirping. I said goodbye to the electric car in the scenic area and walked alone among the ancient trees and dense forests. When I looked up, I could see the sunlight shining through the gaps in the pine forest, and when I looked down, it seemed as if I was no longer in this life.

Yunshanping is said to lead to the third kingdom of Yulong, a mysterious land of abundance and happiness. It is very beautiful, and the cable car fee is relatively cheap, so you won't feel too bad.

Standing at the Yunshanping service point, it seems as if you can reach out and touch the white snow on the top of the mountain. When you arrive at Yunshanping, taking a sightseeing bus is just a quick tour, which is a blasphemy to the beauty of the snow in the south.

The entire meadow is covered with snow. Although it is not as colorful as the spring flowers, it is also a unique winter scenery.

The initial regrets were all swept away.

Before coming here, I'd seen numerous travelogues and photos online, and I knew of Blue Moon Valley's beauty. But seeing it in person never compares to the breathtaking spectacle of the scenery. The crystal clear water, like jade and glass, is nature's purest color, a sight you'll never forget. Blue Moon Valley is truly a place you'll never want to leave. A must-see!

This is the legendary Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. This is me, who arrived too early to see the snow-capped mountain. I am so upset. Without the sun, you can freeze to death on the mountain. I put on all my clothes, but it is still cold.

At the end of Yunshanping, there is a large plain for grazing sheep, with a large circular plank road. When going up the mountain, you have to walk clockwise. Counterclockwise is unlucky. Although we don’t know why, we still did it.

There is a section of the plank road that has no fence. The black goats bleat and come over to ask for food when they see you carrying a bag. However, some goats are very timid and will run away if you make the slightest movement.
