Baoshi Mountain is located on the north bank of Beili Lake and is a famous scenic spot in Beishan. The mountain is about 78 meters high. The mountain body belongs to rhyolite and tuff in igneous rocks. It contains iron oxide and is ochre red. Under the sunlight, it is as colorful as flowing clouds and sparkling like jade and agate, so it is named Baoshi Mountain. In the selection of the new ten scenic spots of West Lake, it was named "Baoshi Liuxia". Baoshi Mountain, formerly known as Jushi Mountain, has many strange peaks and rocks. There is an egg-shaped boulder in front of Laifeng Pavilion, which is placed on the top of the mountain, and is called Luoxing Stone, also known as Shouxing Stone. There is a huge stone standing upright in the north of the top of the mountain, called Kansongtai, with the words "Tunxia" engraved on it. West of the mountain is Chuanzheng Cave, which is formed by the stacking of huge rocks. There are stone beds for rest. There is a narrow path behind the cave, and there are giant footprints on the wall, which is called "Dengkailing" where Qian Shechao showed his power. From here, you can climb the Lion Peak. Baidi Jade Belt, a mirror, picturesque scenery, refreshing.

1. Sightseeing bus: If you walk around the West Lake, it will take at least half a day. If you are tired, it is recommended to take a sightseeing bus. A full circle costs 80 yuan per person and the ride time is more than half an hour. You can also take a bus to designated stops, which costs 20 yuan per stop.
2. For boat trips, there are rowing boats and motor boats to choose from. There are many docks for boat trips, and there are docks at almost all scenic spots around the lake. The rowing boat is rowed by the boatman. When we asked for the first time, it was 150 yuan/boat; then one day it rained, and when we took the rowing boat again, it was 225 yuan (three people in one boat). The motor boat is 50 yuan/person. The rowing boat is more artistic, after all, it is close to the lake, but the disadvantage is that it is too slow, and it basically takes one and a half hours to row up.
3. Clothing: I personally recommend wearing a cheongsam by the West Lake, which is more colorful and has a sense of ancient lotus style. It would be even better if you have an oil-paper umbrella. I don’t have an oil-paper umbrella, so I used a fan instead, which is not bad, and it is better than having nothing in my hand.
4. You should also prepare mosquito repellent and toilet water when you go to Baoshishan. Mosquitoes attack in groups. I still shudder when I think about it.
The beauty of West Lake Baoshi Mountain is indeed well-deserved, and there are not many people. Due to time constraints, I didn't wait until sunset, but I was already very impressed. There is also a place on the top where you can climb directly onto the stone to see the scenery of West Lake, which is very good. But this place is difficult to get up, so you need to be careful.
Baoshishan Mountain is very low. You can climb up the mountain from the intersection of Baochu Road and Beishan Road. It only takes ten minutes to reach the top of the mountain. There is Baochu Pagoda on the mountain, from which you can enjoy the entire West Lake view up close. It is also an excellent place to watch the sunset.
Climb up to see the night view of West Lake and Baochu Pagoda. There are very few people going there, so it is best to go with a companion. Girls will be a little scared if they go alone. It is best to climb up before 9:30. After 9:30, the lights in West Lake will be off. I went up after 9:30, and the lights were off. Only Leifeng Pagoda and another tower I don't know were still lit.
Ticket price: Free Opening hours: All day Climb up Baoshishan Mountain to overlook the West Lake Tips: Safety comes first when climbing high rocks!
My favorite Baochu Pagoda in West Lake~ After visiting Hangzhou many times, I finally came to see it up close for the first time~
The mountain is not really high, and it is still a burden for me who is seriously lacking in exercise. After being dragged to the top of the mountain, I overlooked the beautiful scenery of West Lake. It is so beautiful. It is said that it is more beautiful to watch the sunrise in the early morning and the sunset in the evening. If you have enough time, you should plan your time well and leave no regrets.
In the selection of the new ten scenic spots of West Lake, it was named "Gemstone Flowing Clouds"
Starting from Yue Temple, we climbed up the mountain from west to east, and finally reached Baochu Pagoda. At first, I thought it was a flat road up the mountain, but later I felt that I was overthinking it, and I couldn't see the West Lake at all in the first half! It was not until I passed Ziyun Cave and climbed up to Chuyangtai that the scenery suddenly opened up. Many elderly people were "gambling" on the mountain early in the morning.
It is located beside Beishan Road, with Baochu Pagoda on top. From its high point you can overlook the West Lake, and the environment and view are very good.
The entrance to Baoshi Mountain is easy to find. We walked along the side close to West Lake, and the path leading up the mountain is right after we entered. I don't know why this mountain is called Baoshi Mountain, but it is really very "small". It takes less than 10 minutes to climb up from the entrance we chose at a normal pace. If you take other entrances and see several small paths on the map, it may take a little longer.
I have been to the most scenic spots, and I have a connection with West Lake. I can always go there to see it, morning, noon, night, sunny, rainy, snowy, spring, summer, autumn and winter. I have been there and enjoyed all kinds of scenery of West Lake. It is indescribable charm and inexplicable feeling.
The view overlooking West Lake from Baoshishan Mountain is quite good.
Baoshishan Mountain is located beside the West Lake. You can climb up and have a great view. The mountain is not high and it is easy to climb up in ten minutes. But it is the only place where you can have a panoramic view of the West Lake. There is a huge rock on the mountain. If you stand on the top of the rock, you can have a panoramic view of the beautiful West Lake!
You need to go through a narrow path to reach the top of the boulder. Be sure to pay attention to safety. Although the scenery is beautiful, the wind on the boulder is also very strong, so pay attention to where you step.
In addition, after 10 pm, some lights in the West Lake Scenic Area will be turned off, so if you want to take the best night view, it is best to reach the top before 9:30 pm.
Baoshishan Mountain is highly recommended, as you can overlook the panoramic view of West Lake. If you go up the mountain, there are several entrances on the Beishan Street of Geling. If you can't find it, you can ask the residents nearby, and they will tell you very kindly. I heard that the night view is very beautiful. Friends who are interested can go climbing at night. The West Lake at night is really much more beautiful than during the day.
Although Baoshi Mountain is not high, it is still a bit breathless to climb up. The big rock on the top of the mountain, commonly known as the meteorite, has a good panoramic view, but that road was taken up by a kind uncle I met halfway. Thanks to that old man, otherwise I would have really lost my way on the mountain. You can walk to the Broken Bridge after coming down Baoshi Mountain.
Baoshi Mountain is located on the north bank of Beili Lake in West Lake, Hangzhou. It is a famous scenic spot in Beishan. The mountain is 78 meters high. Baidi Bridge is like a mirror, with picturesque scenery that makes people feel relaxed and happy. Take bus No. 16 and get off at Huanglongdong Station; take bus No. K7, You 2, 27, Y9, 16 and get off at Geling Station; take bus No. 507 and get off at Duanqiao Station.
There are few people, the scenery is good, you can overlook the West Lake, the hill is not high, the amount of exercise is not large, the air is humid after the rain, especially suitable for middle-aged and elderly people
The mountain is not too high, and on the mountain is Baoshu Tower. Although the tower is not very good or delicate, the view of Baoshu Tower from the West Lake is still very beautiful. From the mountain, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of West Lake.
Baoshishan overlooks the entire West Lake, so it is highly recommended if you have time.
One entrance is on Shuguang Road, and the other is near the Broken Bridge on Beishan Street.
Visit Baoshishan at night and enjoy the view of West Lake. Recommended
Baoshi Mountain, also known as Geling, is located in the north of West Lake. The most famous building on the mountain is Baochu Pagoda. You can go up the mountain from Qixialing or Beishan Street to the north of Yue Temple. Baoshi Liuxia, one of the ten new West Lake scenes, is located on this mountain.
Baoshi Mountain is located on the north bank of Huli Lake in West Lake. It is called Baoshi Mountain because there are many small stones rich in iron oxide in the mountain, which look like rubies under the sun, so the mountain is called Baoshi Mountain. "Baoshi Liuxia", one of the ten new scenic spots of West Lake, comes from this.
The environment of Baoshishan is very good. The weather is very good. You can breathe very fresh air in the bamboo forest halfway up the mountain. You can also see the tea garden on the way to the top of the mountain. For someone like me who has lived in the north for a long time, it is quite novel to see a real tea garden. After walking a few steps, you will reach the top of the mountain. You can overlook the scenery of the Broken Bridge of West Lake. It is extremely beautiful.
If there is a shortcoming of the Gem Mountain, it is that the steps near the top are a bit too simple and there are no handrails to hold on to. It is a bit dangerous for the elderly and children.
It's right next to the Baochu Pagoda, and there's a longevity stone on it. Since it's about longevity, of course you should go and see it!
You can overlook the panoramic view of West Lake. Don't miss it when the weather is clear and the visibility is high.
Baoshishan is easy to climb. Baidu says it is 78m high. We climbed from Huanglong Cave. Although it is not high, the scenery is pretty good.
When we walked past the Broken Bridge, we wanted to go somewhere where we could see the beautiful scenery of West Lake, so we went hiking. My mother said this is a place that Hangzhou people like to go.

The Baidi Bridge is like a jade belt, a mirror-like structure with picturesque scenery that makes people feel relaxed and happy.
I feel that the night view will be more beautiful, it is definitely worth a visit!
Baochu Pagoda on Baoshishan Mountain, many people read Baochu Pagoda as Baojiao Pagoda, haha, the mountain is suitable for viewing the panoramic view of West Lake, very beautiful, there are many big rocks here, you can climb, and there are many experts, just like Spiderman. Beishan Street at the foot of the mountain is also a very romantic road, corresponding to Nanshan Road.
Baoshi Mountain is 78 meters high. The rocks are rhyolite and tuff in igneous rocks, which contain iron oxide and are ochre red. Under the sunlight, they are as colorful as flowing clouds and sparkling like jade and agate, so it is named Baoshi Mountain. However, now the vegetation on Baoshi Mountain is lush and the rocks are mostly covered, which no longer lives up to the scenery of "Baoshi Flowing Clouds". Compared with the early years of the Republic of China, there was Jianpao Villa on the mountain and Xiaolianzhuang at the foot of the mountain, which was known as the most famous lake villa in Jiangnan. It is really a world of difference.
Baoshishan is part of the North Mountain of West Lake. There are many huge red rocks on the mountain, which sparkle in the sun. It is called Baoshishan. There is a tower on the mountain, and there are Baoshishan statues and large stone Buddha statues at the foot of the mountain.

This is the most scenic mountain road in Hangzhou. It is very suitable for a walk with it. Whether it is day or night, viewing the West Lake from the top of Baoshi Mountain will make you intoxicated and reluctant to leave.
It is right beside the West Lake. You can go up to see it while visiting the West Lake. There is a tower on the mountain called Baoshu Tower. I don’t know if it’s because it’s called Baoshi Mountain, but the mountain is quite slippery. Overall, it’s a small mountain suitable for hiking and relaxing.
There are many scenic spots on Baoshi Mountain. I went to Baochu Pagoda, which is a solid pagoda. Baochu Pagoda was built in the Ming Dynasty and is of great historical value. If you have time and happen to pass by there, don't miss it. When I was making a guide, I saw the Baoshi Liuxia, but I didn't have the chance to see it. It's a pity that friends who are interested can go and see this attraction.
The biggest gain of this trip to Hangzhou! It is definitely worth a visit. The experience of overlooking the West Lake from the top of the mountain is absolutely rare! If there is a good weather, the feeling of watching the sunset of the West Lake from the top of the mountain will definitely be more beautiful! And there are not many tourists in the whole Baoshishan Mountain, and it will definitely not be as noisy as Baidi. The way up the mountain is not difficult at all. There are some forks in the road. You should be able to meet local people climbing the mountain. Just ask for directions. Here are some simple routes for climbing the mountain.
There are many routes to climb Baoshishan Mountain. I went up from Huanglong Cave on Shuguang Road. There are many ways to go up the mountain, for example, you can also go up from the Innocence Age Bookstore on Beishan Road.
When I arrived at Huanglong Cave, there were many tour groups traveling with me. I was surprised. Why are there tour groups at such a small attraction? Actually, it is not. There is a Huanglong Cave at the foot of the mountain, which is also one of the new ten scenic spots of West Lake - Huanglong Tucui. Go in from here, and the route on the mountain is on the right.
There is no fork in the road after going up the mountain from here. It is a single route on the mountain. The vegetation on both sides of the mountain road is dense. Like the Yunqi Bamboo Path, there are also many bamboos, and the negative oxygen ions are overflowing. It is said that there will be streams on both sides here during the flood season, which makes the mountain climbing road more pleasant.
There are large bamboo forests and the mountain is not too high, which is suitable for leisurely climbing. Whether it is sunny or cloudy, there are many trees and walking through the mountains will not be too sunny. The breeze is very comfortable. You can also overlook the West Lake from the mountain, which is suitable for travel.
Standing on Baoshi Mountain, you can overlook the West Lake with a great view. You can also go rock climbing on Baoshi Mountain.
Enjoy the sunset at Baoshi Mountain. Baoshan in Baoshi Mountain is the starry sky shining on the rock wall when the sun sets.
Baoshi Mountain is located on the north side of West Lake. There are Baochu Pagoda, Baopu Zen Temple and Huanglong Cave on the mountain. It has a very advantageous geographical location, many scenic spots and profound cultural heritage. If you come to West Lake to play, climbing Baoshi Mountain and enjoying the panoramic view of West Lake on the mountain will be a different experience. By the way, Baoshi Mountain is an active volcano
There were too many people on the day I went there, but standing on the top of the mountain and looking at the West Lake, the beauty was in full view.
A free attraction on the edge of West Lake.
The mountain is not big, but it is still quite tiring to climb for people who haven't exercised for a long time. It is quite dangerous if you don't find the right way and walk on the dirt road.
It doesn't have any special features in itself, but you can see the whole picture of West Lake from the mountain, and it is a good place to watch the sunrise in the West Lake area. Plus it's free, so quite a lot of people go there.
The Baoshishan Mountain has a unique and quiet beauty after the snow.
During the day, you can climb the mountain and look far into the distance to exercise your body. At night, you can watch the mountains by the lake and enjoy the bright lights.
The mountain is not high and can be climbed from any entrance, so the routes up and down the mountain can be completely different. You can see the panoramic view of West Lake near the top of the mountain. The most important thing is that Baochu Pagoda is really beautiful under the sunset! You can watch the sunrise on the mountain, which is also a good place to see the panoramic view of West Lake.
There are red gems exposed throughout the Gem Mountain. I studied geography. The mountain is not high, but try not to go there on rainy days because the ladders on the Gem Mountain are carved and may be slippery on rainy days.
You can see the West Lake scenery here, a good perspective, I like it very much
The mountain is not high, suitable for leisure travel, and you can overlook the West Lake from the top of the mountain
Bao Shi Liu Xia is one of the ten scenic spots in Hangzhou, and it really lives up to its reputation.
It doesn't take too much time, it's quite relaxing, and you can overlook the West Lake, which has a nice view.
A mountain by the West Lake, less than 100 meters high, is the location of "Gem Flowing Clouds", one of the new ten scenic spots of the West Lake.
There are scenic spots such as Baochu Pagoda, Baopu Daoyuan, Chuyangtai on the mountain, as well as a very literary book bar facing the lake - Age of Innocence. Baoshi Mountain is easy to climb, and even people with average physical strength can easily climb it. When you reach the top of the mountain, you can see the West Lake and the entire city of Hangzhou. The scenery is amazing and it is definitely worth a visit!
There are entrances to Baoshan Mountain from Baochu Road, Beishan Road and Shuguang Road. Please note: You cannot go up the mountain from Baoshan Mountain Lane 2 on Baochu Road. You will reach Home Inn by walking. You need to go up from Baoshan Mountain Lane 1.
By the way, climbing Baoshishan Mountain at night is also a good choice. Many outdoor organizations in Hangzhou have listed it as a regular activity. The reference route is: Children's Palace - Beishan Road Geling Bus Station Entrance - Baochu Pagoda - Geling - Ziyun Cave - Yue Temple. The whole journey takes about 2 hours.
Mountaineering Tips
1. The night view of Baoshi Mountain is very beautiful. Although there are landscape lights and street lights on the mountain, it is best to bring a headlamp or other lighting equipment when climbing at night;
2. View Baoshishan Mountain from Baidi and Gushan Park at the foot of the mountain. The lights at night make the whole mountain look like gemstones, which is very beautiful.
3. After entering the mountain, there are relatively many forks and small roads. If you are not familiar with them, you should look at the road signs or ask people, and never take wild roads.
We entered Baoshishan from Qixialing Road. As soon as we entered, we felt quiet and relaxed. Without the hustle and bustle of tourists, we began to hear the sound of cicadas...
On the way, we passed a small cave formed by natural cracks in the rocks. It was a pleasant surprise. When we walked to the entrance of the cave, it was like standing in front of an open shopping mall. It was really better than air conditioning. Many locals put table signs and rocking beds in front of the cave, greedily enjoying the gift of nature in the high temperature.
The Broken Bridge viewed from the Baoshi Mountain, at noon in summer, the correct way to open the Broken Bridge should be like this
The mountain is not very high, and you can usually climb it, just walk up the stairs. It is worth a visit. Especially when the weather is good, you can see the sunset. The West Lake is particularly beautiful when the sun sets.
Baoshi Mountain is located in the north of West Lake in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. The rocks here are bright red, and there are many shiny red pebbles in the rock mass. When the morning sun or the setting sun shines on it, it is particularly dazzling, as if countless gems are shining. The mountain is 78 meters high. The mountain body is rhyolite and tuff among igneous rocks, containing iron oxide, and is ochre red. Under the sunlight, it is as colorful as flowing clouds, shining like jade and agate, so it is named Baoshi Mountain. In the selection of the new ten scenic spots of West Lake, it was named "Baoshi Liuxia".
In fact, living in Hangzhou, Baoshan feels like a rockery in the back garden; you can go for a walk whenever you have time, especially when you stand on the top of the mountain, feeling the breeze and overlooking the West Lake and Hangzhou's urban buildings, the lakeside and the high-rise buildings of Huanglong. It is also a rare opportunity to take a break in a bar on the mountainside, read a book and drink tea.
You can overlook the panoramic view of West Lake, with two different views during the day and at night. It takes about ten minutes to climb up. The lights are turned off around 9pm.
Baoshishan Mountain is not very high, so you can climb it in the evening to watch the sunset and the West Lake under the setting sun.
I originally just wanted to go up to Baochu Pagoda for a walk, but I unexpectedly found that this place is more beautiful than expected. After climbing up the mountain, there is a place next to the pagoda where people can climb up to see the West Lake (but in fact, the sign recommends not to climb). It is not too difficult for children to climb up, just be careful. After climbing up, I felt a sense of accomplishment and could overlook Baidi and West Lake. In addition, you can watch the sunrise at Chuyang Pavilion on the mountain (I didn’t actually see it this time). The tour time was extended because it was easy to sit down and enjoy the scenery after climbing up the mountain.
You can choose to go down the mountain from the Yuewang Temple exit, which will directly connect you to the West Lake.
In the drizzling weather, the West Lake was misty and the Baoshi Mountain in the distance was shrouded in mist. The boundary between the lake and the shore disappeared in the rain and mist. The water color of the day probably describes the current appearance of the West Lake. There are many rowing boats by the lake to attract customers. In such weather, it is also nice to sit in the boat while tasting West Lake Longjing and enjoying the misty lake and mountain scenery. However, we still continued to stroll around the West Lake.
It is best to bring a flashlight or a mobile phone flashlight. The mountain is not high, and you have to climb stairs. Climb to the bottom of the tower and walk to the left. Go through two large rocks and climb up along the small stone steps. Climb to a few large rocks (where the author is standing). Or find a friend to help you carry it up. Be careful.
The light was dim, and the mountain was after the rain. The road my husband opened had to pass through the cracks in the rocks, and rain dripped from them from time to time. I seemed to hear the calls of frogs or some other creatures. . . . I was terrified. Finally, I reached the top and found that there were no steps to climb. It was all shapeless rocks. I came here anyway, so I gritted my teeth and used my hands and feet to hurriedly take only one photo. I had to hurry down the mountain. . . . The weather was foggy. It would have been beautiful if it had been good weather during the day. . .
I often climb up Baoshishan Mountain for the West Lake and exercise. I go up the mountain from Huanglong, pass Niugao Tomb and other scenic spots, and go down the mountain to Yuewang Tomb. It is like this every time. There are not many people on the mountain. It is relatively quiet. I like this environment.
The nearest mountain to the West Lake, opposite the Broken Bridge, overlooks the West Lake from a high point and can also watch the sunrise. The glittering clouds are one of the beautiful views of the West Lake. It takes more than ten minutes to reach the top of the mountain from the path near the Children's Palace. The Baochu Pagoda is on the mountain, but it is closed and cannot be entered. There is a good place for rock climbing on the mountain, and people are often seen climbing.
The night view of West Lake in Hangzhou from Baoshishan Mountain is great. It is recommended to go up the mountain to find a good spot before dark and bring a flashlight with you for easy descent.
A small hilltop where you can directly see the whole view of West Lake, about 80 meters above sea level. It is not very tiring to go up, and it is worth it to see the panoramic view.
The hiking trail is a very wide and neat stone staircase, with deep bamboo forests on both sides. Not far away, you can see the three big words "Baoshishan" on the cliff.
Baoshi Mountain is 78 meters high. The mountain is composed of rhyolite and tuff, which are igneous rocks. It contains iron oxide and is ochre red in color. Under the sunlight, it looks like colorful flowing clouds and sparkling like jade and agate, so it is named Baoshi Mountain.
