Feilai Peak means flying stone. The peak has a unique shape and is graceful and moving.
The four sides are high in the sky, with a very broad view. You can see the majestic Seven Peaks in the west and the stone scenery of Yuping Peak in the east.
According to legend, this stone was originally in the fairyland of Penglai. One of the Eight Immortals, Li Tieguai, got drunk and kicked it, and it landed here.

Also known as Lingjiu Peak, Feilai Peak is 168 meters high and is made of limestone. Due to long-term groundwater erosion, Feilai Peak has formed many fantastic and varied caves and gullies, such as Longhong Cave, Yuru Cave, Shexu Cave, Huyuan Cave, etc. Each cave has its own origin and is full of legends. The hall rock of Feilai Peak is like a dragon, a running elephant, a crouching tiger, and a startled ape, as if it is a stone zoo. The old trees and vines on the mountain are intertwined; the rock bones are exposed and the peak edges are like sharp cuts. According to previous records, there were 72 caves on Feilai Peak in the past, but most of them have been lost due to the long time. The few remaining caves are mostly concentrated on the southeast side of Feilai Peak.
Feilaifeng Mountain is not very high. There are several paths that lead to the top of the mountain. It takes about half an hour to climb up the steps to the top of the mountain. People who do not exercise much still feel tired. However, the Buddha statues along the way are very beautiful, and most of them are from the Song Dynasty and Yuan Dynasty. It is still worth a walk. If you do not go to Lingyin Temple, you can choose to climb Beigaofeng from another intersection and you don’t need to buy tickets for Feilaifeng. There is a temple of the God of Wealth on Beigaofeng. The ticket is 8 yuan. Climbing the mountain is good for exercise.
Every year, I come here to visit the largest temple in Hangzhou. There is an endless stream of believers. The entire temple is very magnificent. It is said that it was built by Indian monks in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. It is almost 1,700 years old and is the earliest temple in Hangzhou.
This place is surrounded by mountains and rivers, and is truly a Feng Shui treasure land. The surrounding mountains and rivers are beautiful, and the temples stand majestically. It is like a beautiful Chinese landscape painting.
The temple houses many Buddhist cultural relics, such as ancient palm-leaf manuscripts, gilded Buddha statues from the Eastern Wei Dynasty, Dong Qichang's handwritten copy of the Diamond Sutra from the Ming Dynasty, the woodcut version of the Longzang from the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty, etc., all of which are rare treasures unparalleled in the world.
As soon as we entered the scenic area, we were shocked by the statues of Feilai Peak. We had never been to Dunhuang, Yungang or other grottoes. Suddenly, we saw Buddha statues of various shapes and colors embedded on the peaks not far away. The scene was really amazing. I asked everyone where Feilai Peak was. The seller looked at us like we were fools and replied: "Look up, look up, there are Feilai Peaks in front, behind, left and right!" Oh! After all this time, this mountain is called Feilai Peak. I thought it was the same as Huangshan, with a peak called Feilai Peak!
After buying the ticket and entering the scenic area, the first thing you see is Feilai Peak. My first impression of Feilai Peak is Wang Anshi's famous poem "Climbing Feilai Peak" "Don't be afraid of the floating clouds blocking your view, because you are on the highest level." Feilai Peak is on the hillside facing Lingyin Temple. The mountain is actually not very high. The most amazing thing about Feilai Peak is the Buddhist cave statues since the Five Dynasties. I don't know much about Buddhism, but walking along the way, strolling in the Buddhist country, I can truly feel the long-standing Buddhist culture hidden in the deep forests of Hangzhou, which is really shocking.
The road to Feilai Peak is very congested. Feilai Peak includes several scenic spots, Lingyin Temple is just one of them (buy a ticket separately), the stone carvings of Feilai Peak are still good
I came to Hangzhou this time because Lingyin Temple was quite popular some time ago, so I also wanted to come and see it. I remember that the last time I came to Lingyin Feilaifeng Scenic Area seemed to be during college. I only remember the stone carvings and some memories, and I can't remember the specific appearance of other attractions.
Originally I brought my parents here for a walk this time. In fact, the stone carvings are just opposite the temple, but I walked to the opposite side first. In the end, it was my dad who took me to see the Line of Sky and find the correct location of the stone carvings. Originally I wanted to bring them here for a trip, but in the end, it was my dad who took me to the correct route.
There were really a lot of tourists in the scenic area. We just walked around and looked at the grottoes in the scenic area. We didn't go into the temple, nor did we take the Beigaofeng cable car. We originally wanted to go to the Faxi Temple on one of the routes, but we didn't go in the end.
After entering the gate, heading southeast is the Feilai Peak statue group, including the Ligong Pagoda, the Monk Journey to the West, the Three Saints of Huayan, the One-Line Sky, the Qinglin Cave, the Guanyin Cave, the Tongtian Cave, the Maitreya Buddha, the Duobao Heavenly King...; the scenery is still the same, but it is much more relaxed and comfortable than the 2007 trip. You are no longer in a hurry and there are no crowds of people. You can appreciate it slowly and savor it carefully. Although I was unable to climb to the summit of Lingjiu Peak due to physical reasons, I did visit all the caves in the southeast of the mountain, which was quite fulfilling.
When you come to Hangzhou, you must visit Feilai Peak and Lingyin Temple❗️
Lingyin Temple and Feilai Peak are both within the Lingyin Scenic Area.
Feilai Peak, also known as Lingjiu Peak, is 168 meters high. The mountain is made of limestone and has many fantastic and varied caves, such as Longhong Cave and Yuru Cave. Each cave has its own origin and is full of legends.

1⃣On the hillside of Feilai Peak facing Lingyin Temple, there are more than 340 Buddhist cave statues dating back to the Five Dynasties. It is a rare ancient cave art treasure in Jiangnan, my country, comparable to the Dazu Rock Carvings in Chongqing.
2⃣️Lingyin Temple, Feilai Peak and Santianzhu form a distant and profound Buddhist atmosphere. Visit and fully appreciate the charm of Buddhist art, and you can truly feel the rich historical and cultural charm hidden in the mountains and waters of West Lake.
3⃣️On the east foot of Feilai Peak, there is Xiatianzhu Temple (Fajing Temple), an ancient temple of the Sui Dynasty. From here, going southwest along the stream, there is Zhongtianzhu Temple (Fajing Temple), which was built two years later than Xiatianzhu Temple, and Shangtianzhu Temple (Faxi Temple), which was built in Wuyue during the Five Dynasties. They are collectively known as the "Three Tianzhu". If you have enough energy, you can check in at the same time.
💡Practical tips
1⃣️Ticket purchase channel recommendation: I am not a shill. I only use China-TravelNote for almost all tickets that can be purchased online. Because I bought a China-TravelNote gold card, I can get a 4% discount on all my purchases. I can save a lot of money in a year.
2⃣️It takes about 20 minutes to climb to the top of Feilai Peak. It is not high and not tiring to climb, but the steps, especially those near the foot of the mountain, are slippery, so be careful when climbing. There will be many century-old tree roots lying on the steps during the climb, so be careful not to lose your focus🙃
3⃣️The view from the top is so-so, there is just a stone with the words "Fei Lai Peak" standing there in a low profile. Usually you just take a photo with the stone and then go down the mountain in a few minutes. If you want to go to Lingyin Temple and Santianzhu later, you can save your energy and give up climbing this mountain, because the key landscapes are in the stone carvings and caves at the foot of the mountain. I saw that there is also a Fei Lai Peak, but I didn't find it 🧐
4⃣️If you want to overlook the Lingyin Scenic Area, we recommend Beigao Peak, which is not far from Feilai Peak. You can take the cable car up and down (30 yuan for the outbound trip and 20 yuan for the return trip, 40 yuan for the round trip). When you reach the top of the mountain, you can see the West Lake and the Lingyin Scenic Area. It is worth checking in (´-ω-`)
My impression of Feilai Peak probably comes from the line in Wang Anshi's "Climbing Feilai Peak" that says "There is a thousand-foot tower on Feilai Mountain, and I heard that you can see the sun rising at the crowing of cocks." However, after climbing to the top of Feilai Peak in Lingyin, I did not find the tower mentioned in the poem, and Feilai Peak did not seem very high, so it may not be the same mountain mentioned in the poem.
We ate scallion stew and West Lake lotus root powder in the scenic area. The scallion stew was fragrant and delicious, and the West Lake lotus root powder had a delicate texture and sweet taste. Both were very good snacks.
Following the flow of people into the Lingyin City, we came to the "Lingyin Feilai Peak Ticket Office". Here I want to explain that if you want to go to Lingyin Temple, you must first buy the ticket for Feilai Peak here (45 yuan). After entering the scenic area, you can buy the ticket for Lingyin Temple at the "Lingyin Temple Ticket Office" (30 yuan). In addition, the ticket for Feilai Peak includes Yongfu Temple and Taoguang Temple, so these two temples are equivalent to free. After reading other bee friends' travel notes, I learned that there is only a big stone with the word Feilai Peak written on it on it.
It's interesting to walk around and see the cultural attractions.
The hill at the entrance of Lingyin Temple is covered with Buddha statues of various shapes and from different dynasties, with the largest number from the Song and Yuan dynasties.
It's just so-so. The Buddha in the scenic area is okay to see, but Feilai Peak is really nothing special.
I must strongly recommend it. It's my favorite place in Hangzhou. It's great.
A small hill inside Lingyin Temple...not bad!
Feilai Peak is right at the entrance of the scenic area. You can climb up or just look at it from below.
Scissor hands represent being here.
It's relatively low, and you can climb to the top quickly.
This is the only way to go to Lingyin Temple. If you want to go to Lingyin Temple, you must first purchase a ticket to Feilai Peak. The scenery of Feilai Peak is pretty good. If you have good physical strength, you can climb to the top of the mountain. Standing at the highest point, you can have a bird's eye view of the scenery below, provided that visibility is higher.
The Feilai Peak statues are one of the representative historical sites of Buddhist culture, separated from Lingyin Temple by Lengquan Creek. This series of Buddha statues are distributed on the cliffs along the Lengquan Creek, which is about 500 meters long, and in natural caves such as Qinglin, Yuru, and Longhong, with different shapes.
Lingyin Feilaifeng Scenic Area is a famous scenic spot in Hangzhou. You must visit it when you come to Hangzhou.
Fearless clouds blocking the view because I am at the highest peak
A statue of Maitreya Buddha makes you laugh at all the ridiculous things in the world.
Taking the cable car up to Feilai Peak, with a large tea plantation below, I suddenly felt like a hermit. Looking out from the top of the peak, the clouds and mist are lingering in the distance, which makes people think deeply. There are monks living on the top of the peak, which adds a touch of respect.
The whole time he was a porter, the little guy's eyes only lit up when he saw the Buddha, and the rest of the time he basically played with his fingers and toes.
There are a lot of people, even on rainy days, the mountains are full of stone Buddha statues, which is rare in the south.
The mountains in the Lingyin area are rugged and rocky, and the scenery is unique. However, there are not many wonderful sights when you climb to the top of the mountain, and many paths are closed for safety reasons.
The statues carved on the mountain are all miracles.
If you want to go to Lingyin Temple, you must first go to Feilai Peak. The famous Feilai Peak statues, with Buddha statues of various shapes carved on the mountain walls, are worth seeing.
The four sides are high in the sky, with a very wide view, looking at the majestic Seven Peaks in the west and the stone scenery of Yuping Peak in the east
On the top of Feilai Peak, there are just a few words "Feilai Peak" and a lot of messy stones. What interested us was the many vines on the road, some as thick as arms, some as thick as waists. It's amazing that they grew so thick, maybe they must have been hundreds or thousands of years old.
I haven't climbed a mountain for a long time. I feel a little tired after climbing this hill.
The hillside of Feilai Peak facing Lingyin Temple is dotted with Buddhist cave statues dating back to the Five Dynasties, with more than 340 statues. It is a rare ancient cave art treasure in Jiangnan, my country, and is comparable to the Dazu Rock Carvings in Chongqing. Su Dongpo once wrote the poem "Everywhere in the mountains and streams can be a home, but I love Feilai Peak in Lingyin the most."
Feilai Peak is a scenic spot near West Lake in Hangzhou, together with Lingyin Temple. It is not a place for climbing, but for viewing various stone carvings of Buddha statues. Many ancient stone carvings are well preserved.
In fact, the walk was not particularly far or tiring. There were not many people walking along the way. I also saw monks climbing up the stairs one step at a time, leaving footprints one step at a time, and walking up with their hands folded together again and again.
After reaching the top, you can look down to the West Lake Scenic Area in the distance and the Lingyin Temple below. The environment is very beautiful.
There were a few people at Feilai Peak of Lingyin Temple in the morning. I was impressed by the particularly good weather, a very cloudy day, and the autumn wind rustled the leaves. The pleasant concerto made the soul enjoy it. The Feilai Peak Scenic Area of Lingyin Temple is lush and green, and the dark green color scheme is quite harmonious. In addition to the steep mountain road, there are branches and vines, and there is nothing else to see. The worst thing is that there is no scenery on the top of the mountain, only a group of tourists who are resting in the cool. What happened to the "not afraid of floating clouds blocking the view, because I am at the highest level"? Fortunately, although the way down the mountain is monotonous, the cloudy day, cool breeze, stone path, and morning dew are my favorites. Feilai Peak gives me the biggest feeling that it is not suitable for tourists to visit. It is a good choice for the residents around to get up in the morning and climb a few laps as morning exercise.
The ticket office of Lingyin Temple, this is the most deceptive ticket in Hangzhou, it is called Lingyin Feilaifeng Scenic Area. You have to buy this big ticket to enter, and you have to buy a ticket to Lingyin Temple when you are inside. Moreover, the management of this Feilaifeng Scenic Area is chaotic and the roads are bad, which is definitely ranked first in Hangzhou. If it were not for Lingyin Temple, I guess this Feilaifeng Scenic Area would have to be closed.
The cliff carvings on Feilai Peak and various Song Dynasty Bodhisattvas sit quietly halfway up the mountain, watching the flow of people on the other side of the stream. They look at all living beings with a calm face.
As soon as you enter the gate, you will see Feilai Peak. Many people don't know where the peak is, just because they are in this mountain! Feilai Peak is made of limestone caves. After entering the gate of Lingyin Temple, people will follow the flow of people through the cave of Feilai Peak to see the Buddha statues carved in the cave wall. Looking up - just out of the cave, looking up, there is a Vajrasattva Bodhisattva located on the cliff outside the "One Line Sky", wearing a five-leaf crown. The statue's body is well-proportioned, symmetrical, and the plump facial features are clearly defined and passionate, showing strong Tibetan Buddhist sculpture characteristics. Today's statues are mostly on the hillside facing Lingyin Temple. The most popular one is the big-bellied Maitreya Buddha, which was made in the Southern Song Dynasty and is also the largest Buddha statue in the Feilai Peak stone sculpture. It was a short holiday that day, and there were crowds of people inside and outside the cave. We were all pushed by the flow of people. I wonder if Maitreya Buddha was annoyed by the countless people coming and going in front of him?
Feilai Peak is not very high. There are many Buddha statues on the mountain. We took pictures while slowly enjoying the scenery on the road. Soon we climbed to the top of the peak. The top of the peak is not very high either, and you can't see much scenery.

The only way to Lingyin Temple is to reach the top of the mountain. The scenery along the way is beautiful, there are a lot of vegetation, and the air is humid. After all, it is a mountain climb, so bring water~~
The Feilai Peak Scenic Area has very convenient public transportation. Except for the fact that there are some holes on the top of Feilai Peak, everything else is very good.
According to legend, one day, the monk Jigong of Lingyin Temple suddenly had an idea and calculated that a mountain was about to fly from a distance. At that time, there was a village in front of Lingyin Temple. Jigong was afraid that the flying mountain would crush people to death, so he ran into the village to persuade everyone to leave quickly. The villagers were used to seeing Jigong being crazy and playing tricks on people, so they thought that this time he was just trying to make everyone happy, so no one listened to him. Seeing that the mountain was about to fly, Jigong was anxious, so he rushed into a family who was marrying a bride, carried the bride who was worshiping in the hall and ran away. When the villagers saw the monk robbing the bride, they all shouted and chased him out. As people were chasing, they suddenly heard the sound of the wind, the sky was dark, and with a "boom", a mountain flew down in front of Lingyin Temple and crushed the entire village. At this time, people realized that Jigong robbed the bride to save everyone, so they called this mountain "Fei Lai Peak".
The hillside of Feilai Peak facing Lingyin Temple is dotted with Buddhist cave statues dating back to the Five Dynasties. Friends who are interested can take a look.
If you don’t really want to check in and take photos at the top of Feilai Peak, I don’t recommend climbing it. There are a lot of mosquitoes in the summer, and your legs will be hurt when you climb down. There is a stone engraved with the top of Feilai Peak~
Lingyin Temple is inside Feilai Peak. To enter, you must first buy a 45-yuan ticket to Feilai Peak, and then buy a 30-yuan incense and flower voucher based on whether you choose to go to Lingyin Temple. Feilai Peak is actually a small mountain that can be climbed quickly. There are some cave statues left over from various periods on the mountain walls. There are many streams and ponds under the statues. Fish and turtles enjoy themselves in the water, and there are many huge millipedes on the trees.
Seeing that people often complain about the second ticket purchase of Lingyin Temple online, I think that since there is such a rule, it is better to enjoy Feilai Peak and make the most of it. After all, it is a rare group of stone statues in the Jiangnan area. But it does make people who just want to come here to pray spend more money.
Maybe I imagined it too magically, it feels like a hill. There are some Buddha statues, but they are not large in scale. If you want to go to Lingyin Temple, you must first buy the 45 yuan ticket here.
It's really boring. You can't see anything when you climb to the top of Feilai Peak... The ticket is 45, which is speechless. I strongly recommend not to go. If you must go to Lingyin Temple, you must also buy the ticket for Feilai Peak🐶🐶🐶
There are hundreds of Buddha statues carved on the rock wall of Feilai Peak. The Buddha statues are inlaid in the rocks in various shapes. A small path leads to the cave. It is pitch dark in the cave. I have to turn on the flashlight. I didn’t know until I saw it. I was shocked to see a big Buddha with angry eyes in the deep of the cave. I couldn’t help but take two steps back and then wanted to leave the cave.
Every time I go to the narrow passage, I have to pretend to search for a long time like everyone else, but in the end I find nothing.
Really! I don't recommend climbing the so-called Feilai Peak!!! Feilai Peak is called "Feilai Peak" because the Indian monk Huili said: "This is a small ridge of Lingjiu Mountain in Central India. I don't know how it flew here?" It is also said that when Feilai Peak "flew" to Lingyin Temple, Jigong bravely rescued the villagers at the foot of the mountain and became a legend. We were just naive and thought that since it was so famous, the top must have beautiful scenery. I climbed to the top of the mountain panting and panting, and there was just a stone tablet silently telling me that I had reached the top of the mountain.
Then there was an auntie who was buying mineral water. There were all kinds of branches and forks around and mountains that were much higher than Feilai Peak. I couldn't see anything~~~
Feilaifeng Scenic Area includes several temples at the foot of the mountain, which are discussed separately. Feilaifeng is not a mountain that you have to travel through mountains and rivers to find sculptures as you might imagine. It is actually a rather steep but not high mountain (158 meters). After entering the park, there is a stream in the middle with many turtles in it. On one side is the temple and on the other side is Feilaifeng. Sculptures are scattered at the foot of the mountain along the stream, so you actually start to visit the sculptures as soon as you enter the park. There are many paths at the foot of the mountain that can lead you up the mountain very quickly. If you have good leg strength, it doesn't take even ten minutes.
Although it is small, Feilai Peak is indeed a very suitable place to cool off in summer. It is green and shady everywhere, and there is a very comfortable breeze. The top of the mountain is also the kind of mountain top that I particularly like, although there is no view, but at least it is not exposed to the sun.
In addition, compared with the sculptures in Mogao Grottoes, this place is completely the other side of the mirror. Unlike the pale yellow scenery of Mogao Grottoes, the sculptures here are all hidden in the greenery. You can always hear the stream and feel the breeze, which is a unique charm. I think the scenery is worth the ticket price among these scenic spots in China. Not to mention that it has historical significance.
Feilai Peak was originally just a place in the story of Jigong, but no one would have thought that it was a Buddhist stone carving, which constantly spreads positive energy of goodness when people believe in it.
Tongtian Cave at the foot of the mountain is very worth seeing. The inscriptions from various dynasties and various Buddhist sculptures are very well preserved. Who says it's not high! I was so tired! I thought the 110m on the road sign was the altitude. The one-legged beggar at the foot of the mountain said it was only a five-minute walk, but it took me half an hour to climb. Yes, it was a climb. I really want to have a good chat with Wang Anshi.
The rocks on Feilai Peak are quite distinctive, like a stone zoo.
The ticket to Feilai Peak is 45 yuan, and the incense and flower voucher to Lingyin Temple is 30 yuan. Lingyin Temple is inside the Feilai Peak Scenic Area, so you must first buy the ticket to Feilai Peak Scenic Area to enter Lingyin Temple. (The ticket to Feilai Peak is purchased at the entrance, and the incense and flower voucher to Lingyin Temple is purchased at the entrance of Lingyin Temple after entering the Feilai Peak Scenic Area).
Follow the crowd for a while and you will reach the Lingyin Feilai Peak statues. Feilai Peak is a rare ancient cave art treasure in Jiangnan, comparable to the Dazu Rock Carvings in Sichuan.
Feilaifeng Statue is a scenic spot with a story. You may not be able to appreciate its mystery just by looking at it. There are many tour guides along the way. If you are interested, you can listen to their introduction.
After visiting the Feilai Peak statues, we followed the instructions to climb to the top of Feilai Peak. There was only a pile of stones with four red characters "Feilai Peak Top". We took a photo and returned the same way. Unless you have an obsessive-compulsive disorder to visit this place, it is not recommended to climb up.
The Feilai Peak ticket includes Yongfu Temple and Taoguang Temple.
As the name suggests, Feilai Peak requires climbing, which is really tiring.
We passed three temples on the way. Because we were so focused on climbing the mountain, we didn't notice what temples they were. When we got to the third temple, I was exhausted. I felt like I had to climb down. But then we found a small door with words like "leading to the top of the mountain". There was an old man at the door who told us that we had to climb 1,400 steps to the top and then take the cable car down the mountain... It was a mixture of joy and sorrow...
I didn't know until I reached the top that the cable car can go up or down the mountain... I was so sad. There are two long lines for the cable car. The first line is for buying tickets, and the second line is for riding the cable car.
Feilai Peak, also known as Lingjiu Peak, is considered the best peak on the lake. There are 345 relatively complete Buddhist statues on the mountain, which is the largest group of cave statues on the southeast coast of my country.
Feilai Peak is famous for Lingyin Temple and Grottoes. Lingyin Temple is famous for Jigong, and Grottoes are famous for the Yuan Dynasty Grottoes, which are said to be one of the few Yuan Dynasty Grottoes. The scenic area is not big and can be visited in 2-3 hours. You can visit it while going to West Lake. The ticket to the scenic area is 45 yuan. If you want to go to Lingyin Temple, you have to spend an additional 30 yuan, but you must buy the ticket to Feilai Peak Scenic Area first.
There are national treasures, stone statues of Buddha on the stone walls of the mountain, including Sakyamuni Buddha, Maitreya Buddha, and the four masters and disciples of Tang Monk from Journey to the West.

Take a bus from Wuzhen to Hangzhou, drop off your luggage and head straight to the Feilai Peak scenic area in Lingyin. To enter Lingyin, you must first buy a Feilai Peak package ticket, which costs 45 yuan in total. There is a yellow wall from the ticket office to the mountain gate, with the words "Western Heaven is within reach" written on it, meaning that this is the closest place to the Western Heaven. Also, because the mountain flew from the Western Heaven to Hangzhou and landed here, people who are devoted to Buddhism can come here to worship and their hearts can reach the heaven.
When I was a child, I came here with my mother and found that the layout of Feilai Peak has not changed much, but there are two more temples on the mountain. Feilai Peak, also known as Lingjiu Peak, has been eroded by groundwater for a long time, forming many fantastic and varied caves, such as Longhong Cave, Yuru Cave, Shexu Cave, Huyuan Cave, etc. Each cave has its own history and is full of legends. There are old trees and vines on the mountain, with intertwined roots; the rock bones are exposed, and the peaks are sharp. The most eye-catching is the smiling Maitreya Buddha with his chest and belly exposed. This is the largest statue in the Feilai Peak Grottoes and a representative work of the Song Dynasty statue art.
On the left hand side of the entrance to the park is Qinglin Cave and Ligong Pagoda. It is located at the entrance of Longhong Cave on Feilai Peak. It is also called Lingjiu Pagoda. It is the only Ming pagoda in Hangzhou. It is built of stone and has six sides and six floors. It is very rare. The whole pagoda is gradually divided from bottom to top. The structure is simple and unique. In the caves of Feilai Peak and on the cliffs along the stream, there are more than 470 stone statues from the Five Dynasties to the Song and Yuan Dynasties. The three Buddha statues of Amitābha, Guanyin, and Mahasthamaprapta on the rock to the right of the entrance of Qinglin Cave, which are the oldest, were built in 951 AD. The relief statue of Vairocana Buddha Association is the most exquisite work of Song Dynasty statues. The Southern Song Dynasty Big Belly Maitreya Statue is the largest one among the {Feilai Peak Statue} and the earliest Big Belly Maitreya in my country. These exquisite {Cliff Carvings} are precious historical heritage of statue art. Go up the stone steps of the mountain road next to the statue and slowly climb up Feilai Peak. It takes about half an hour to reach the top.
If you have time and energy to visit Lingyin Temple, it is recommended to climb Feilai Peak
The only way to Lingyin Temple. There are some Buddhist stone sculptures from the Yuan and Song dynasties. I rented an automatic guide. It was good and I heard some stories.
Feilai Peak is located in the Lingyin Temple scenic area. You can see various stone statues carved on the cliffs after the ticket gate today. It is better to get information about this attraction in advance or have a tour guide explain it, because there are many allusions in it, and it is best to combine it with the tour to achieve the best effect. For me who likes ancient monuments, it is very attractive~
The ticket is 40 yuan, and there are many temples inside, each with its own characteristics. You need to buy an additional ticket to enter Lingyin Temple.
Also known as Lingjiu Peak, Feilai Peak is 168 meters high and is made of limestone. Due to long-term groundwater erosion, Feilai Peak has formed many fantastic and varied caves, such as Longhong Cave, Yuru Cave, Shexu Cave, Huyuan Cave, etc. Each cave has its own origin and is full of legends.
The strange rocks of Feilai Peak look like dragons, running elephants, crouching tigers and startled monkeys, just like a stone zoo. Old trees and vines are intertwined on the mountain, and the rock bones are exposed, and the peaks are sharp. Yuan Dao, a Ming Dynasty scholar, once said: "Among all the peaks on the lake, Feilai is the best." According to previous records, there were 72 caves on Feilai Peak in the past, but most of them have been lost due to the long time. The few remaining caves are mostly concentrated on the southeast side of Feilai Peak.
A very beautiful scenic spot. I like this kind of beautiful place. There are strange rocks, lush trees, and gurgling water. The air is very good. There is Lingyin Temple inside, which has its own Zen feeling. It is definitely worth a visit.
I went there during the National Day holiday. The mountains and plains were full of people, so the experience was not good. It would probably be a good place when it is quiet on weekdays.
The mountain is full of strange rocks and has a unique scenery. The Indian monk Huili said: "This is a small ridge of Lingjiu Mountain in Central India. I wonder how it came here?" Therefore, it is called "Feilai Peak". Feilai Peak is a rare ancient grotto art treasure in Jiangnan. It has the beauty of the Lingshi cliffs of Taimu Mountain and the stone peaks of Tu'erling, which can be compared with the Dazu Rock Carvings in Sichuan. Su Dongpo once wrote a poem: "There are creeks and mountains everywhere, but I love Feilai Peak in Lingyin the most."
The so-called Feilai Peak is actually just a few rocks standing in a place where they shouldn't be. It's not big, it's right on the ground, no need to climb...
It's not a pitfall to buy a ticket to Feilai Peak before entering Lingyin Temple, because there is only one route to enter the two scenic spots, and it is impossible to develop another one. But Feilai Peak is really not worth seeing.
Always smile and laugh at all the ridiculous people in the world.
Be broad-minded and be able to tolerate things that are difficult to tolerate in the world.
Also known as Lingjiu Peak, Feilai Peak is 168 meters high and is made of limestone. Due to long-term groundwater erosion, Feilai Peak has formed many fantastic and changeable caves and gullies, such as Longhong Cave, Yuru Cave, Shexu Cave, Huyuan Cave, etc. Each cave has its own origin and is full of legends. The hall rock of Feilai Peak is like a dragon, a running elephant, a crouching tiger, and a startled ape, as if it is a stone zoo. The old trees and vines on the mountain are intertwined; the rock bones are exposed and the peaks are sharp. Yuan Dao, a Ming Dynasty scholar, once said: "Among the peaks on the lake, Feilai should be the first." According to previous records, there were 72 caves on Feilai Peak in the past, but most of them have been lost due to the long history. The few remaining caves are mostly concentrated on the southeast side of Feilai Peak.
There are still quite a lot of people in Feilaifeng Scenic Area on weekends. There are people everywhere since you get off the bus. The bus is quite convenient and can go directly to the entrance and exit of the scenic area. The tickets for the scenic area are bought online in advance. You can enter by swiping your ID card, which is very convenient. Although it rained, there are still many people climbing the mountain. There is no place to rest on the road, and the pavilion on the top is full of people.
