I originally had the impression that Hengdian was a scenic spot that imitated the Forbidden City for filming costume dramas. I didn't expect that the first scenic spot where they made their fortune was Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street, because of the filming of "The Opium War". The Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street scenic spot was built to cooperate with director Xie Jin in filming the historical blockbuster "The Opium War". It is the birthplace of Hengdian Film and Television City. The scenic spot was later expanded to Hong Kong Street. The ancient roads crisscrossed, the Pearl River passed through the city, and the two streets were bordered in Hengdian.



I went to Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street twice in a row, one in the day and one at night. I think Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street are more beautiful at night.



At night, part of Guangzhou Street is not open (for performances), but Hong Kong Street is completely open to the public. Moreover, the neon lights on Hong Kong Street are fully dynamic, and there are many businesses selling snacks and drinks. It is very lively. Hong Kong Street at night really gives you a sense of traveling back to 19th century Hong Kong. It is very vivid, vivid and immersive.



Guangzhou Street was built in August 1996 for the filming of the historical blockbuster "The Opium War"; the Hong Kong Street Scenery Area was completed in September 1998. They artistically reproduced the old appearance of Guangzhou and the charm of Hong Kong around 1840 with realistic real-life buildings.



Hong Kong Street features more than 30 European-style buildings that symbolize past colonial rule, including Pedder Street, Chater Street, Connaught Road, Queen's Road, Statue Square, Governor's House, St. John's Church, Dent & Co. and Victoria Barracks, which truly reproduce the bustling street scene of Victoria City in Central, Hong Kong in the 19th century.

It was evening, and we came to the third scenic spot of the day - Guangzhou Street Hong Kong Street, which is also the only scenic spot in Hengdian that is open at night. There is still construction near the entrance of the scenic spot, which is a bit messy, but the further you go, the more you can feel the atmosphere of Cantonese streets and gardens. We came just in time for the performance of "The Legend of the Condor Heroes". At the beginning, the main performance was humorous and exaggerated, and in the second half, there was a gunfight film, with heroes flying over the eaves and walls, which was very lively. The whole performance made full use of the scenery and props on the scene, which was still very attractive. Because only this scenic spot is open at night, there are many tourists, and they are shoulder to shoulder. The small shops on both sides of the street sell various souvenirs, which attracts the attention of many tourists. There are also many restaurants and hotels here. Tourists can choose to live directly in the scenic spot, which is really fully integrated into the world of traditional old streets. We originally wanted to stay here, but when we booked a room, we found that there was no room. It seems that holidays really need to be planned in advance.

Because it was evening when I went there, night fell, and with some lights, it felt like a dream. There was a singing and dancing performance on the stage at the door. After entering the door, there was a shop inside where you could change clothes for free. There were many styles of clothes, including cheongsam, student clothes, military uniforms, Zhongshan suits, etc. It was brightly lit at night and very lively. It's worth checking in!

There are many interactions and strong participation. It is very interesting and highly recommended.

The building is very tasteful. I just didn't eat anything good. It looks like a Cantonese tea restaurant, but it's not Hong Kong style food. Lanji's mango sago is really fake, it doesn't taste like mango, but tastes like orange juice.

The performance of "A Chinese Odyssey" is not bad

Although it is slightly smaller than other scenic spots in Hengdian, the buildings and scenery inside are very suitable for taking photos. There are also free costumes, which can let you get into the role immediately. In short, it is still very fun to play.

I think I have to give this place a fair name. I read the reviews before I went there and all of them were bad. I just went there a few days ago and bought a night show ticket. Although the night show was only open on Hong Kong Street, I still think it is worth it! It is super beautiful when the lights are turned on at night. Also, basically 80% of the shops are open. Even if there is no one inside, there are all kinds of scenery. Any photo you take is a drama. How come everyone says such a good place is boring? And the free clothing rental in Jingyuan is super awesome. Student uniforms are the most popular among ladies, but I prefer cheongsams. I rented a pink cheongsam and the photos turned out great.

This is a tourist attraction, not two attractions, nor two streets. Hengdian Film and Television City also started from here.

The northeast of the scenic area is the only entrance and exit for night tours. If you want to visit at night, it is recommended to visit the part on the left side of the main road first, which is a part of low-rise buildings with white walls and black tiles. After nightfall, the lights of Chater Street, Pedder Street and Connaught Road will be turned on. Other places will no longer be lit and will be closed.

After the lights are on, the scenic area is really a different world from the daytime. Since the scenic area has developed a night tour project, it must have a different feeling from the daytime. Many children who are taking wedding photos are here to take pictures. The scenic area is not big, but it is quite interesting to walk around.

When I was doing research before the trip, I knew there were performances in the scenic area, but it was only after experiencing them in person that I realized that the performances were truly authentic and that the most worthwhile value for the ticket was the various performances in the scenic area.

When we arrived at the Elizabethan Theatre at around 6pm, there was already a long queue, and people started to enter at around 6:15pm. After entering the theatre, about half of the area surrounding the performance venue was occupied by seats. The seats facing the venue were already full, but in general, sitting off to the side did not affect the viewing experience. "Magic Style" is a magic show. I searched online for a long time but could not find any relevant introduction. The performance lasted about 25 minutes. In general, the performance was wonderful, the program arrangement was very compact, and it was the first performance of the entire trip, which was amazing.

There was a "Gunfight" performance at Pedder Street at 7:20, but while waiting, the scenic area broadcast announced that it was raining, so the show was cancelled, which was a bit regrettable.

Fortunately, the 8:30 "Hong Kong Night Show" was not cancelled. This show was also very good. There are four seating areas in total, and the number of open seating areas can be adjusted according to the number of audience members. Some skits are performed according to the seating areas, and there are four groups of the same performances performing the same content in each seating area at the same time. The main show is performed in the water in front of you, and everyone can see it. This "water flying man" is the first time I have seen it.

The night tour is open from 5pm to 11pm.

1. Ticket price: 120 yuan (80 yuan for night tour ticket). It is very cost-effective to buy a combined ticket or an annual night tour pass. There are great discounts for night tours during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day.

2. You can visit during the day (8:00-17:00) or at night. Night tour is recommended (17:00-23:30 in summer time and 16:30-23:00 in winter time).

After visiting three popular attractions, I went to Guangzhou Hong Kong Street. I had read many reviews before and didn't have high expectations. The scenic spot is not big, and most of the area is the lake and the small hill. The other part is divided by the location of the clock tower. The left side is Hong Kong Street, and the right side is Guangzhou Street. The Hong Kong Governor's Mansion is on the hill, imitating the Victoria Peak. When I went there this time, the whole Hong Kong Street was in a shabby state and was being renovated. There were various obstacles on the ground that made it impossible to pass. The only old houses on Guangzhou Street in the whole scenic area still have some artistic conception, and the scale cannot be compared with other scenic spots.

Special reminder: among the several scenic spots, this is the only one where you don't need to ride a bicycle. Bicycles are simply a burden (and the bicycles here are the worst among all the scenic spots. They should have passed the scrapping period, especially the locks...). Don't believe those uncles and aunts who say that you can ride a bicycle anywhere on the streets of Guangzhou without having to climb stairs. Because firstly, this place is really not big, and secondly, there are ups and downs everywhere, and the road surface is all rough and uneven stone slabs. Riding a bicycle requires more strength than walking. That's why renting a bicycle here is the cheapest. (10 yuan per person)

All in all, I don't recommend it. I don't understand why Hengdian Group would let this place fall into decline.

I went there on New Year's Eve. There were very few people and the performances were stopped, but the scenery was still worth a visit. It's just that the local transportation is not very convenient.

There weren't many people when I went there today! I could take pictures of the empty streets! It felt good.

Compared with the three major scenic spots of Qin, Song and Ming, the Guangxiang Street with the characteristics of the Republic of China is less attractive to me. I came late and didn't see any of the three performances, which was a pity.

Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street are smaller than other scenic spots, but it takes more than 4 hours to walk the whole way. The performances in the scenic spot are inferior to those in other scenic spots. When watching "The Wrath of the Sea", you should sit on the stand on the left side of the entrance near the cannon, so that you can see the whole scene clearly without obstruction.

I went at the wrong time. Many places were under construction, so I basically didn't see the scenes in the TV series. It is not recommended to watch the performance if you have children. Many children were scared and cried because of the sound of gunfire.

This should be the smallest of the several scenic spots in Hengdian. It seems to be only a fraction of the Ming and Qing Dynasty palaces. The old-style buildings on Guangzhou Street are very romantic. There are a lot of film crews shooting. Many places are cordoned off and cannot be entered, but you can peek from afar~ There are also many couples taking wedding photos on Hong Kong Street. This kind of European-style building is quite attractive~ But what I don’t understand the most is that I can always see the bell tower in the scenic area from a distance but I can’t get around it. I feel like I’m trapped in a wall.

The performances and scenery are first-class, a park that is absolutely recommended

Guangzhou Street covers an area of ​​more than 300 mu, and Hong Kong Street covers an area of ​​120 mu. The "Flower City" is dotted with quaint streets and alleys, with old-fashioned locomotives lying on the weathered rails, and the crisscrossing rivers flowing into the "Pearl River". The "Thirteen Barbarians Pavilion" is like an international architectural exposition, and the world's first teahouse "Tianlan Pavilion" is a collection of pavilions and terraces, showing the elegance of Chinese architecture.

Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street don't seem to be as big as the Qin Palace and Qingming Shanghe Tu, and the performances are not as good as the first two. When we went there, the crew was filming, and the cordon blocked a large street. However, we didn't see any stars, just extras... The scenery of Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street has some Republican-style, which was blocked by the crew... and some are more Western-style, which looks very modern. There are no surprises.

Guangzhou Street/Hong Kong Street (actually they look the same, there are free performances inside; the buildings are both very nice. But the houses are empty inside, they are only used as sets when filming.

It is worth taking a one-day tour with a group. Many classics are familiar and have been seen on TV.

Everything was average, except that I ran into a crew filming an anti-Japanese TV series, which was okay, and there was no prohibition on entry. I watched how the movie was filmed. I watched a few performances and left. Very boring

As for the scenery, it was just so-so, mainly for the scenes built for filming. There were two performances, "A Chinese Odyssey" was quite funny, and "The Wind and the Sea" had a good sense of scene. I personally felt that the main purpose of coming to Hengdian was to watch the performances.

The place is not big and the houses are a bit run-down, but the shows inside are worth watching.

There are always performances and the tickets are not cheap. It's OK to shoot a movie, but there are no citrus fruits from old Guangzhou and Hong Kong.

It is said to be the filming location of The Disguiser ~ A Chinese Odyssey is pretty good and funny, but the first few rows of the auditorium will be wet because of the stage effects... The filming here is quite open, I saw a lot of filming scenes, and once I had to stand next to the assistant director on the scene because I couldn't avoid it... The assistant was also very polite and thanked me for my cooperation~ I was in a pretty good mood!

Guangzhou Street is relatively small compared to other attractions, and you can basically visit it in 1.5 hours.

Because of the road construction, the bus took a detour and finally arrived at Guanggang Street in the afternoon. I was so drunk that I ran all the way to watch Master and Commander at 3 o'clock.
