I've heard that Hengdian World Studios is fun.

It was worth the trip.

There are many people in Guangzhou who bought nightclubs

Neon lights illuminate various classic film sets

The restoration is very high and the sense of immersion is very strong

There are also immersive performances available for experience

I accidentally became a passerby extra

Various spy films such as Hidden

Victoria Harbour is at its climax at 7:30

Including water pole dancing and jet skiing

There are also close-up interactions with glow sticks.

Overall, five stars worth the 80 yuan ticket price

I originally had the impression that Hengdian was a scenic spot that imitated the Forbidden City for filming costume dramas. I didn't expect that the first scenic spot where they made their fortune was Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street, because of the filming of "The Opium War". The Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street scenic spot was built to cooperate with director Xie Jin in filming the historical blockbuster "The Opium War". It is the birthplace of Hengdian Film and Television City. The scenic spot was later expanded to Hong Kong Street. The ancient roads crisscrossed, the Pearl River passed through the city, and the two streets were bordered in Hengdian.

I went to Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street twice in a row, one in the day and one at night. I think Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street are more beautiful at night.

At night, part of Guangzhou Street is not open (for performances), but Hong Kong Street is completely open to the public. Moreover, the neon lights on Hong Kong Street are fully dynamic, and there are many businesses selling snacks and drinks. It is very lively. Hong Kong Street at night really gives you a sense of traveling back to 19th century Hong Kong. It is very vivid, vivid and immersive.

Guangzhou Street was built in August 1996 for the filming of the historical blockbuster "The Opium War"; the Hong Kong Street Scenery Area was completed in September 1998. They artistically reproduced the old appearance of Guangzhou and the charm of Hong Kong around 1840 with realistic real-life buildings.

Hong Kong Street features more than 30 European-style buildings that symbolize past colonial rule, including Pedder Street, Chater Street, Connaught Road, Queen's Road, Statue Square, Governor's House, St. John's Church, Dent & Co. and Victoria Barracks, which truly reproduce the bustling street scene of Victoria City in Central, Hong Kong in the 19th century.

It was evening, and we came to the third scenic spot of the day - Guangzhou Street Hong Kong Street, which is also the only scenic spot in Hengdian that is open at night. There is still construction near the entrance of the scenic spot, which is a bit messy, but the further you go, the more you can feel the atmosphere of Cantonese streets and gardens. We came just in time for the performance of "The Legend of the Condor Heroes". At the beginning, the main performance was humorous and exaggerated, and in the second half, there was a gunfight film, with heroes flying over the eaves and walls, which was very lively. The whole performance made full use of the scenery and props on the scene, which was still very attractive. Because only this scenic spot is open at night, there are many tourists, and they are shoulder to shoulder. The small shops on both sides of the street sell various souvenirs, which attracts the attention of many tourists. There are also many restaurants and hotels here. Tourists can choose to live directly in the scenic spot, which is really fully integrated into the world of traditional old streets. We originally wanted to stay here, but when we booked a room, we found that there was no room. It seems that holidays really need to be planned in advance.

Because it was evening when I went there, night fell, and with some lights, it felt like a dream. There was a singing and dancing performance on the stage at the door. After entering the door, there was a shop inside where you could change clothes for free. There were many styles of clothes, including cheongsam, student clothes, military uniforms, Zhongshan suits, etc. It was brightly lit at night and very lively. It's worth checking in!

There are many interactions and strong participation. It is very interesting and highly recommended.

By Shanshan |

The building is very tasteful. I just didn't eat anything good. It looks like a Cantonese tea restaurant, but it's not Hong Kong style food. Lanji's mango sago is really fake, it doesn't taste like mango, but tastes like orange juice.

The performance of "A Chinese Odyssey" is not bad

By Maggie |

Although it is slightly smaller than other scenic spots in Hengdian, the buildings and scenery inside are very suitable for taking photos. There are also free costumes, which can let you get into the role immediately. In short, it is still very fun to play.

I think I have to give this place a fair name. I read the reviews before I went there and all of them were bad. I just went there a few days ago and bought a night show ticket. Although the night show was only open on Hong Kong Street, I still think it is worth it! It is super beautiful when the lights are turned on at night. Also, basically 80% of the shops are open. Even if there is no one inside, there are all kinds of scenery. Any photo you take is a drama. How come everyone says such a good place is boring? And the free clothing rental in Jingyuan is super awesome. Student uniforms are the most popular among ladies, but I prefer cheongsams. I rented a pink cheongsam and the photos turned out great.

This is a tourist attraction, not two attractions, nor two streets. Hengdian Film and Television City also started from here.

The northeast of the scenic area is the only entrance and exit for night tours. If you want to visit at night, it is recommended to visit the part on the left side of the main road first, which is a part of low-rise buildings with white walls and black tiles. After nightfall, the lights of Chater Street, Pedder Street and Connaught Road will be turned on. Other places will no longer be lit and will be closed.

After the lights are on, the scenic area is really a different world from the daytime. Since the scenic area has developed a night tour project, it must have a different feeling from the daytime. Many children who are taking wedding photos are here to take pictures. The scenic area is not big, but it is quite interesting to walk around.

When I was doing research before the trip, I knew there were performances in the scenic area, but it was only after experiencing them in person that I realized that the performances were truly authentic and that the most worthwhile value for the ticket was the various performances in the scenic area.

When we arrived at the Elizabethan Theatre at around 6pm, there was already a long queue, and people started to enter at around 6:15pm. After entering the theatre, about half of the area surrounding the performance venue was occupied by seats. The seats facing the venue were already full, but in general, sitting off to the side did not affect the viewing experience. "Magic Style" is a magic show. I searched online for a long time but could not find any relevant introduction. The performance lasted about 25 minutes. In general, the performance was wonderful, the program arrangement was very compact, and it was the first performance of the entire trip, which was amazing.

There was a "Gunfight" performance at Pedder Street at 7:20, but while waiting, the scenic area broadcast announced that it was raining, so the show was cancelled, which was a bit regrettable.

Fortunately, the 8:30 "Hong Kong Night Show" was not cancelled. This show was also very good. There are four seating areas in total, and the number of open seating areas can be adjusted according to the number of audience members. Some skits are performed according to the seating areas, and there are four groups of the same performances performing the same content in each seating area at the same time. The main show is performed in the water in front of you, and everyone can see it. This "water flying man" is the first time I have seen it.

The night tour is open from 5pm to 11pm.

When you come to the Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street scenic area of Hengdian World Studios, you will find that it is not only the yellowed photos or film and television works that can bring us the flavorful urban memories of old Hong Kong and old Guangzhou. With your girlfriends, you can be in the old Hong Kong style buildings with numerous signs and flashing neon lights, and then put on the Republic of China student uniforms, as if you have traveled through time and transformed into a beautiful girl of the Republic of China.

In the Guangzhou Street•Hong Kong Street Scenic Area, strolling through the 19th century old Hong Kong style buildings on Des Voeux Road, Pedder Street, Queen's Road, Connaught Road, and Chater Street Loop, listening to the retro music floating by your ears, you can't help but feel nostalgic! The scenic area provides free dressing experience services, including student uniforms of the Republic of China, cheongsams, Zhongshan suits, military uniforms... In order to make myself more immersed in the drama, I also chose the dressing service, and instantly transformed myself into the feeling of a heroine in a film or TV series. It is so happy to change clothes and take photos with my girlfriends, and receive envious eyes from all directions anytime and anywhere.

Guangzhou Street•Hong Kong Street Scenic Area TIPS:

1. Ticket price: 120 yuan (80 yuan for night tour ticket). It is very cost-effective to buy a combined ticket or an annual night tour pass. There are great discounts for night tours during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day.

2. You can visit during the day (8:00-17:00) or at night. Night tour is recommended (17:00-23:30 in summer time and 16:30-23:00 in winter time).

3. The scenic spot provides a free dressing experience, and you only need to pay a deposit.

4. It is recommended to dine at the Pu Ji Restaurant in the scenic area, which is very cost-effective. Spicy chicken wings, spicy crab, swan crisps, and exploding durian are recommended.

5. The shows performed here every day include: The Legend of the Condor Heroes, The Storm Rising, and The Beauty of Hong Kong.

The ticket price of NT$120 is so expensive! The place is not worth the price, the performance is also average, but it is good to take photos, the scenery is very good, it has the flavor of old Hong Kong!

It feels like taking a Hong Kong style photo. You can also borrow clothes for free. In short, it is very suitable for street photography.

After visiting three popular attractions, I went to Guangzhou Hong Kong Street. I had read many reviews before and didn't have high expectations. Fortunately, I didn't have high expectations because it was really not that good. I went there because I bought a five-ticket package like a local tycoon.

The scenic spot is not big, and most of the area is the lake and the small hill. The other part is divided by the location of the clock tower. The left side is Hong Kong Street, and the right side is Guangzhou Street. The Hong Kong Governor's Mansion is on the hill, imitating the Victoria Peak. When I went there this time, the whole Hong Kong Street was in a shabby state and was being renovated. There were various obstacles on the ground that made it impossible to pass. The only old houses on Guangzhou Street in the whole scenic area still have some artistic conception, and the scale cannot be compared with other scenic spots.

Special reminder: among the several scenic spots, this is the only one where you don't need to ride a bicycle. Bicycles are simply a burden (and the bicycles here are the worst among all the scenic spots. They should have passed the scrapping period, especially the locks...). Don't believe those uncles and aunts who say that you can ride a bicycle anywhere on the streets of Guangzhou without having to climb stairs. Because firstly, this place is really not big, and secondly, there are ups and downs everywhere, and the road surface is all rough and uneven stone slabs. Riding a bicycle requires more strength than walking. That's why renting a bicycle here is the cheapest. (10 yuan per person)

All in all, I don't recommend it. I don't understand why Hengdian Group would let this place fall into decline.

By Little puppy |

It is recommended to take a look, many buildings are very distinctive

By The lazy girl who loves traveling |

Although the place is not big, it is quite unique. There are European buildings and a small sea of flowers inside, which is great for taking pictures! I also watched a live performance inside, which was thrilling and funny, great!!!'

By ︶☆Big volume ╮Sad volume▽ |

It feels wrong. It's all under construction. It's better to close the park. The few scenes are just average. I'm disappointed. The ticket price is too high. It's not worth 120 yuan. It's only 20 yuan. It's over in 20 minutes *罒▽罒* I'm disappointed. There are so many film and television bases in the world. It's impossible to meet celebrities. They are all fake unless you have an insider to know where the celebrities are filming (⊙o⊙)! It's good to meet them! If you blindly follow them, they are all fake. The reality is different from the TV series. That's why there is a saying that reality is cruel. Save money to visit the scenery. You can spend your spare money.

By Bugs |

I went there on New Year's Eve. There were very few people and the performances were stopped, but the scenery was still worth a visit. It's just that the local transportation is not very convenient.

By mushroom |

There weren't many people when I went there today! I could take pictures of the empty streets! It felt good.

By The azure sky is bottomless |

Compared with the three major scenic spots of Qin, Song and Ming, the Guangxiang Street with the characteristics of the Republic of China is less attractive to me. I came late and didn't see any of the three performances, which was a pity.

By Agate Hometown |

Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street are smaller than other scenic spots, but it takes more than 4 hours to walk the whole way. The performances in the scenic spot are inferior to those in other scenic spots. When watching "The Wrath of the Sea", you should sit on the stand on the left side of the entrance near the cannon, so that you can see the whole scene clearly without obstruction.

By Xia Ling-JOYCE |

I went at the wrong time. Many places were under construction, so I basically didn't see the scenes in the TV series. It is not recommended to watch the performance if you have children. Many children were scared and cried because of the sound of gunfire.

By You invite me |

The main reason was that I went there with my loved ones, the weather was good, it was sunny, so I was in a very good mood, nothing else mattered

By Dudu Mom |

I mainly watched performances in Guangzhou Street. As soon as I entered the door, I heard gunshots. It turned out that there was a show. A huge crowd gathered together. Later, I watched a show by Huang Feihong, which was also good. Many people around were taking wedding photos.

By Rain and wind |

This should be the smallest of the several scenic spots in Hengdian. It seems to be only a fraction of the Ming and Qing Dynasty palaces. The old-style buildings on Guangzhou Street are very romantic. There are a lot of film crews shooting. Many places are cordoned off and cannot be entered, but you can peek from afar~ There are also many couples taking wedding photos on Hong Kong Street. This kind of European-style building is quite attractive~ But what I don’t understand the most is that I can always see the bell tower in the scenic area from a distance but I can’t get around it. I feel like I’m trapped in a wall.

By Warm autumn |

The performances and scenery are first-class, a park that is absolutely recommended

By Han Yu 79 |

Guangzhou Street covers an area of more than 300 mu, and Hong Kong Street covers an area of 120 mu. The "Flower City" is dotted with quaint streets and alleys, with old-fashioned locomotives lying on the weathered rails, and the crisscrossing rivers flowing into the "Pearl River". The "Thirteen Barbarians Pavilion" is like an international architectural exposition, and the world's first teahouse "Tianlan Pavilion" is a collection of pavilions and terraces, showing the elegance of Chinese architecture.

By LIU is not smart |

Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street don't seem to be as big as the Qin Palace and Qingming Shanghe Tu, and the performances are not as good as the first two. When we went there, the crew was filming, and the cordon blocked a large street. However, we didn't see any stars, just extras... The scenery of Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street has some Republican-style, which was blocked by the crew... and some are more Western-style, which looks very modern. There are no surprises.

By Kathy Lee |

Guangzhou Street/Hong Kong Street (actually they look the same, there are free performances inside; the buildings are both very nice. But the houses are empty inside, they are only used as sets when filming.

It is worth taking a one-day tour with a group. Many classics are familiar and have been seen on TV.

By Judy |

Everything was average, except that I ran into a crew filming an anti-Japanese TV series, which was okay, and there was no prohibition on entry. I watched how the movie was filmed. I watched a few performances and left. Very boring

By dai_er |

As for the scenery, it was just so-so, mainly for the scenes built for filming. There were two performances, "A Chinese Odyssey" was quite funny, and "The Wind and the Sea" had a good sense of scene. I personally felt that the main purpose of coming to Hengdian was to watch the performances.

By Sisi CHEN |

The place is not big and the houses are a bit run-down, but the shows inside are worth watching.

By Back |

There are always performances and the tickets are not cheap. It's OK to shoot a movie, but there are no citrus fruits from old Guangzhou and Hong Kong.

By Quiet Wind Feather |

Maybe I really don't feel anything, the Qin Palace is still the best

By Clouds in the sky |

This place is very ordinary and not worth visiting. Not only is the scenery not good, but there is no crew shooting. I was deceived by the advertisement and I didn’t even feel like taking pictures.

By RB-Traveling Around the World |

It seems to be a holy place for filming anti-Japanese war dramas. The Hong Kong part is still too rough, but the Guangzhou part is okay.

By 🍥Xiao sweet girl🍥 |

It was interesting to see the locations from TV shows and movies, and also see the crew filming.

By Little Happiness |

Compared to the ancient feeling of the Qin Palace, Guangzhou Street is more like the houses of the Republic of China. The place is not big. There are many European-style buildings. I saw people taking wedding photos. There are hot air balloons and other entertainment things. You can also go boating on the small lake.

By New Heart |

Good, I like this kind of place, I feel like I am on TV

By Daily |

It is said to be the filming location of The Disguiser ~ A Chinese Odyssey is pretty good and funny, but the first few rows of the auditorium will be wet because of the stage effects... The filming here is quite open, I saw a lot of filming scenes, and once I had to stand next to the assistant director on the scene because I couldn't avoid it... The assistant was also very polite and thanked me for my cooperation~ I was in a pretty good mood!

By ~Sweetheart sauce~ |

Guangzhou Street is relatively small compared to other attractions, and you can basically visit it in 1.5 hours.

There are many places to shoot~

By Banana |

The show here should have been good, but we missed it.

Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street are not very big, but we walked around for 2 hours and 20 minutes. We ran into a crew of Wong Fei Hung. A male stuntman was riding a horse, and a female actor who played the role of Aunt Thirteen was riding a box. They went back and forth many times, which was quite tiring.

It was almost six in the evening when we went out. Apart from those who were filming, we were the only ones in the scenic area, and we had the whole place to ourselves.

Guangzhou Street•Hong Kong Street is right next to Ming and Qing Palace. It is only about 200 meters away from the main entrance parking lot of Ming and Qing Palace. Here, the main street scene of the central urban area of Hong Kong in the 19th century and the European-style buildings that symbolize British colonial rule are reproduced, and the quaint streets and alleys of the Flower City of the Republic of China are restored. Banks, pawnshops, rickshaws, streets, street lights, cars, every scene and object here is full of Nanyang flavor. This is also one of the local wedding photography location bases. There are many newlyweds taking wedding photos along the way. So when you come here, please walk around, take more photos, and experience the charm and style of that era.

By Iris |

Every street corner here can satisfy your photography needs. There are crowds of wedding photographers here. It is a place full of joy. You can also learn a lot of photographers' techniques by walking around here, haha.

By & Iichi 👑 |

This attraction is relatively small, with a city street view with the charm of Guangzhou and Hong Kong in the 19th century! The houses on both sides are designed very distinctively, but this place is only for filming, and many shops cannot be visited! Of course, there are a few small shops that are actually open inside, and some people are singing with guitars! There are free performances in the scenic area! When we went there, we caught up with "The Rage of the Sea", which was a sea battle between an island and the police, a struggle between justice and evil. The scene performance was very realistic. During the viewing process, there was an occasional thunderous roar, and the sea was filled with smoke. The auditory and visual effects were quite exciting! After watching the performance, I saw a small crew filming, but we could only watch from a distance!

By pp |

It's still a good place to watch performances and film TV series.

By ~ Xiaoyao_Xian Xiaomu |

It's a small scenic spot. I heard from my friends that Zhong Hanliang and Li Xiaoran's "Too Late to Say I Love You" was also filmed here? As a TVB fan, I only know that the recently aired TVB Zhang Baozai was filmed here~~ It restores the style of Hong Kong and Guangzhou in the last century. The Victorian architecture is still very beautiful. After a tour, I saw many newlyweds taking wedding photos. I think the effect should be very good.

By xyxdz |

We went to Guangzhou Street in the afternoon and went to Qin Palace in the morning. It takes 10 minutes to drive from Qin Palace to Guangzhou Street, which is still a bit far, mainly because this place is out of the city and the road is a bit roundabout, so most of the tourists come here with tour groups. This is where Hengdian Film and Television City started. It has been nearly 20 years, so most of the facilities and attractions are a bit old. In fact, we came here mainly to watch the water show and take a stroll.

By You are a goddess 😄 |

It happened to be the National Day when I went there, so there were a lot of people, but there was a great show inside, and the scenery was nice, but the toilet was hard to find, and you know what it is, it's usually expensive in tourist attractions 😂, I don't know when I'll be there next time 😭

How should I put it? It's quite simple, right? You can just enjoy it briefly.

Guangzhou Street Hong Kong Street

Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street Scenic Area are one of the six classic scenic areas in China's Hollywood - Hengdian World Studios. Guangzhou Street was built in August 1996 for the filming of the historical blockbuster "The Opium War"; Hong Kong Street Scenic Area was completed in September 1998. They artistically reproduced the old appearance of Guangzhou and the charm of Hong Kong around 1840 with realistic real-life buildings.

By clean |

We mainly went to see the buildings. The Guangzhou Street Scenic Area shows the street scenes of Guangzhou in southern Guangdong in the 19th century, the artificial lake representing the Pearl River and its "small river in Guangzhou City" at that time, the "Thirteen Barbarians Pavilion" and "Tianzi Wharf" that reproduce the scenery of the Pearl River at that time, and vividly reproduce the city style of Guangzhou before and after the Opium War. It is a complete social "customs painting" for modern tourists to watch the street scenes of Guangzhou in the Qing Dynasty. The entire layout of the Hong Kong Street Scenic Area is designed by taking advantage of the wilderness slope. The Romanesque, Gothic and Georgian buildings here are full of exotic styles.

By Dai Tianping |

The building is different from the outside, and it is still very distinctive. The destruction of opium in Humen was filmed here.

By Echo⛷️ |

Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street are more down-to-earth than Hengdian Qin Palace, Along the River During the Qingming Festival, and Ming and Qing Palaces in terms of both scenery and live performances. This is only my personal opinion. The live performances such as Magic Style, Once Upon a Time in China, and Master and Commander are all worth seeing. You need to manage your time well. If you want to see all of them and stroll around, it will take at least three hours.

Entering from the south gate of Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street, you will see a simulated Pearl River. You must turn left and walk along the path. There are many decorations on both sides of the road.

By Drum Tower Runtu |

Compared with other attractions in Hengdian, this attraction is not very conspicuous and much smaller. The stickers of the old city are worth seeing~~~ There are many anti-Japanese dramas in it.

By Smile |

Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street are located in Ming and Qing Park, where scenes such as Shanghai Beach and underground work meeting places were filmed.

By ﹉Romance Taboo﹎ |

The building is very simple and quaint, and people often film there. The final performance was quite shocking. We went there before 5.1 and happened to see Hu Jun filming there. The final performance of "The Wind and the Sea" was quite good. I recommend watching it, but you have to arrange your time first, as there are still quite a lot of people watching it.

By ... |

Not very fun. After the crew finished filming, the place looked like a ruin. It was nice to just take some photos inside. There were three shows inside and nothing interesting!

By JitingGao |

By Xiaoyi-11 |

Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street have the most crews, so you can go there to see the filming process. But it's actually not very big. In addition, the performances inside are pretty good and worth watching.

Guangxiang Street, which had just rained, had a hazy beauty. I spent a very short time on Guangxiang Street and just watched two performances. Both performances were humorous. If I hadn't watched them, I would have felt like I had come here in vain. But after watching them, I felt that they were not very interesting.

The main performance of the drama is that a girl from a fishing family is getting married and is raped by armed pirates. Huang Feihong climbs over eaves and walls and detonates numerous traps. The bride turns into Aunt Thirteen, and the bucktoothed Su uses a rocket launcher to knock himself down...

The performance of "Raging Sea" is a fierce battle between police and pirates at sea, a battle between justice and evil. The realistic and spectacular large-scale scenes and the gorgeous performances of film and television special effects make you feel as if you are personally on the sea filled with gunpowder and experience the thrilling battle.

Compared with the previous two attractions, Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street have fewer people, and the magic show is pretty good.

Because of the road construction, the bus took a detour and finally arrived at Guanggang Street in the afternoon. I was so drunk that I ran all the way to watch Master and Commander at 3 o'clock. Be sure to grasp the performance time and add the official WeChat to check the schedule. Don't miss the stunt show!

It is not Er Tiao Street, but the name of a scenic spot, right next to the Ming and Qing Palaces. It is mainly modern buildings, like Shanghai in the 1940s.

Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street are very suitable for taking photos. I recommend that you come here either in the morning or late in the afternoon. The sunlight at these two times is particularly beautiful for taking photos.

Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street, to use a Hengdian promotional phrase - old Guangzhou and old Hong Kong, old houses and old sentiment. I would like to say they are old, but not old. Old is a kind of charm. They belong to the mid-to-late 19th century to the early 20th century. The European-style buildings distributed on Hong Kong Street, such as Queen's Statue Square, Hong Kong Governor's House, and St. John's Church, have a sense of vicissitudes of life, and at the same time reflect the unique elegance and petty bourgeoisie of Western European countries; Guangzhou Street reproduces the southern Chinese residences and small town landscapes. It rained lightly on the day of the visit, and the paving stones on the street were particularly smooth under the washing of the light rain. Unfortunately, since the Pearl River Wharf is located next to the Yuehai Theater, the theater was closed and locked after the performance, and we were unable to appreciate it carefully.
