Hangzhou Botanical Garden is located in the northwest of West Lake. It has nine exhibition areas and four experimental areas, including economic plants, ornamental plants, trees, landscape gardens, etc.
There are beautiful views in the botanical garden in all seasons. The most worth seeing is the Lingfeng Plum Blossom Show. A large flower show is held here in early spring every year.
More than one thousand medicinal plants, including the "Eight Flavors of Zhejiang", are planted in the Baicao Garden, which is highly scientific.
The Yuquan spring pool is full of plump black carps and red and yellow carps. It is a great place for a nap and is very popular with children.

Best season to visit: March to May Opening hours: 07:00~17:30 Ticket price: 10.00 yuan
Hangzhou Botanical Garden is a local botanical garden with a park appearance and scientific connotation. It focuses on scientific research and is open to the public to popularize knowledge of plant science and environmental science.
The botanical garden is very large and it takes about three hours to walk around. The scenery is pleasant and the air is fresh.
1. Opening hours: 7:00-17:30, free admission after 17:30
2. Ordinary ticket: 10 yuan/person
3. Address: No. 1 Taoyuanling, Xihu District, Hangzhou (near Osmanthus and Crape Myrtle Garden)
4. Bus route: You can take bus No. 27, Y6, 87, 7, or 807 to Botanical Garden (Yuquan) Station.
5. There are more mosquitoes in summer and autumn, so bring mosquito repellent and wear long skirts and pants.
6. Clothing matching: The botanical garden is mainly green, so I chose a white gauze skirt + white veil, which has the feeling of a light wedding dress; Zhenzhen wore a smoky purple gauze skirt, which was also very eye-catching.
The price/performance ratio is very high. I saw beautiful plum blossoms for 10 yuan. The scenic area is also very large.
I have been here many times. I come here whenever I have nothing to do for the West Lake scenery and plants.
There are other beautiful scenery besides West Lake, and the fragrance is present in all four seasons.
In fact, there used to be a free way to enter the botanical garden, such as going to the Shanwaishan inside to eat, but I don’t know if it can still be used now. When we went there, the botanical garden was holding a Lycoris Festival, and there were large areas of Lycoris under the trees. Fortunately, most of them were yellow flowers, not Lycoris radiata (red flowered Lycoris).
It's super big. My feet hurt from walking, but the green is very pleasing to the eyes. I came here to check in at Yuquan Yuyue. This place is very suitable for families with children to come for a walk. You can learn a lot of knowledge, such as the hybrid breeding of koi, a corner of garden design, etc.
Located in Taoyuanling, Xihu District, Hangzhou, it has Yuquan, the third most famous spring in Hangzhou. It is located in Qinglian Temple at the entrance of Qingzhiwu, Xiangu Mountain, West Lake. This is a good place to watch fish in West Lake. "Yuquan Fish Leaping" was once one of the "Eighteen Scenic Spots of West Lake" in the Qing Dynasty. Qinglian Temple is commonly known as Yuquan Temple. During the Jianyuan period of the Southern Qi Dynasty, Monk Tanchao built a temple here. Later, it was rebuilt as Jingkong Temple in the Jin Dynasty. Lizong of the Southern Song Dynasty inscribed "Yuquan Jingkong Temple". Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty named it Qinglian, and then renamed it Qinglian Temple, and inscribed a poem "Yuquan has five-colored fish and named it Qinglian Temple".
The rainy season is here. There is a strong camphor scent under the scorching sun after the heavy rain, mixed with soil and various grass scents, which cleanses the lungs and eyes.
The botanical garden is really beautiful. I feel happy to be so close to it. I would go there whenever I have time to see the changes of the plants and trees, sit in the antique pavilion beside the pond and listen to the rain, or run through the trails in the garden to the vicinity of Zhejiang University's Yuquan Campus. All of these make me yearn for it. The most important thing is that the scenery is different in each season, and the fun is endless.
Peaceful, perfect for kids who love nature...
If you want to see peach blossoms and cherry blossoms in March, this is a good choice. There are few tourists and there are lawns to sit on.
It seems that few people have mentioned the botanical garden. The vegetation here is rich and there are many species. The only thing I feel is that there are few signs and signboards. I was a little confused when I walked and didn’t finish the tour. It is suitable for the elderly and children to stroll around~ The most impressive thing is the azalea. The azaleas make people feel good all the way~
There are many kinds of plants, and there are flowers to be admired in every season, as well as a Yuquan flying fish viewing area.
I usually go to the botanical garden at least once a year, and whether intentionally or by coincidence, I often go there when the plum blossoms are in bloom, to visit Lingfeng to see the plum blossoms.
For friends who like taking photos, the botanical garden is really a very good choice. The place is large and you don’t have to worry about the large number of tourists. If you are patient, you can always find a place with fewer people. There are different plants that can serve as the background in each season. The most important thing is that the ticket is only 10 yuan, which is very cheap.
I went there many times.
Enter the park from the west gate on the third day of the Chinese New Year. Visit the bonsai garden, aquatic plant area, Lingfeng plum blossom viewing, Han Meilin Art Museum, Yuquan fish viewing, maple and azalea garden, and bamboo plant area. Personally, I feel that the west area of the park lacks scientific popularization and the guidance is unclear, and the overall needs to be strengthened.
An unplanned journey, haha, actually I just took the wrong road, and accidentally found a bamboo forest on the side of the road, so I "broke in" and encountered a large scenery~
Located in Hangzhou Botanical Garden to the west of Yue Temple. Yuquan is about 12 meters long and 9 meters wide. It has no spring hole. The spring water seeps out from the bottom of the pool. There are more than 100 fish, which are several feet long and weigh dozens of kilograms. There is a corridor beside the pool, and swallows build nests under the corridor eaves. In spring, fish jump into the spring, swallows slant in the breeze, and the scenery is quiet. As one of the "Four Famous Springs" in Hangzhou, Yuquan has always been a famous place for tea tasting and scenery appreciation. In 1964, Yuquan was rebuilt on the original site using the artistic techniques of classical gardens. After the new Yuquan, there is a large window frame at the entrance. There is a lake stone and several bamboo poles in the patio behind, forming a natural bamboo and stone freehand painting. There are several courtyards inside, and the courtyards are separated by corridors and white walls. There are lattice windows on the wall to draw in the scenery, so that the courtyards are separated but not disconnected, giving people a deep feeling of the courtyard. After entering the door, you will first arrive at Yuquan Pond, which has been newly decorated and named "Fish Joy Country". There are small patios in the north and south, equipped with pine, bamboo and plum scenes.
At Taidao-chan's suggestion, we went to see plum blossoms after breakfast. Although I have memorized "A few plum blossoms bloom alone in the corner of the wall in the cold winter" since I was a child, this is the first time I have participated in such a highbrow plum blossom viewing activity. You can take a taxi directly to the intersection of Qingzhiwu Road, and walk along the busy Qingzhiwu Road to the northwest gate of Hangzhou Botanical Garden. The ticket is 10 yuan.
Ancient people often sang about plum blossoms, appreciating their proud spirit in the cold wind. Compared with pink plum blossoms, I prefer white and yellow wintersweets. Since they are not in full bloom yet, there are still many buds on the branches. But I can already smell the faint fragrance of plum blossoms.
I actually found a fairyland comparable to the one in “Eternal Love” in Hangzhou!
Compared with Shanghai Botanical Garden, Hangzhou Botanical Garden has much fewer flowers to see. However, the bonsai garden is surprisingly large, with mostly conifers and cypresses.
I went there during the chrysanthemum exhibition. The ticket seemed to be 10 yuan (maybe I used my student ID). There were so many chrysanthemums at that time that it could accommodate any number of tourists. I had a good impression.
Lingfeng Plum Blossom Viewing Tickets: 10 yuan. It is recommended to enter from the Qingzhiwu Gate. You can also get off at Fengqi Road Subway Station and cross Beishan Street.
It's really beautiful, a great place full of oxygen! It feels so fairy, and it's really beautiful in the morning when it's covered with a layer of mist.
There are many varieties of plants in the botanical garden, and all kinds of flowers compete for beauty.
This is not a scenic spot on the itinerary. To get to Qingzhiwu, you must pass through the botanical garden. In October, the sweet-scented osmanthus is in full bloom, and the fragrance of sweet-scented osmanthus fills the garden, making you feel like you are in a paradise.
Hangzhou Botanical Garden is not very big, and it can be described in one word - green! There is a large bamboo forest at the entrance of the botanical garden, which is really beautiful.
The Botanical Garden is worth recommending. There aren't many people there, and the area of the garden should be relatively large. The scenery is pretty good. Walking inside gives you a very quiet feeling. I don't really like going to places with a lot of people, so this place is particularly suitable. However, it takes a long time to walk there. Remember to bring food when you go there, as there doesn't seem to be a place to sell food inside.
This is the most beautiful park in Hangzhou in spring. In spring, magnolias fill the sky with flowers. There are hillsides, meadows, ponds and paths leading to nowhere. Young boys and girls sit on benches and chat, quietly hooking their little fingers, with shy spring-like smiles on their faces.
There is no one inside... No one... It's very lively outside, with many hotels, restaurants, inns, etc. I especially like this atmosphere. But it's not fun inside at all. The scenery outside attracts me more (the pictures behind the Nongfu Spring water bottle are the pictures inside)
Because of the rain, I feel a little disappointed about this~~
In spring, when you enter the plum garden in the botanical garden, the plum fragrance is overwhelming. After entering the plum garden, you will see a forest of plum blossoms. You will be reluctant to leave after walking through it.
Free admission before 7am and after 5pm. The air is fresh and suitable for running and walking. But on rainy days, there may be insects like leeches.
The scenery is beautiful, but actually it is just a passing by because Qingzhiwu is right in the depths of it.
I went there in autumn when the maple leaves were red, which was very beautiful. I took photos with my friends. The botanical garden is quite large and you can walk around for a long time. The ticket price is 5 yuan after using the student ID, which is very cheap. It is still a good place to make an appointment with friends to play together.
If the Nine Creeks and Eighteen Streams are pristine, then the Botanical Garden is a combination of natural scenery and artificial sculpture. In the rain, the green beauty of Jiangnan reaches a new level. The Botanical Garden is very large and you can spend half a day or a whole day there.
Hangzhou Botanical Garden is located in Taoyuanling, Xihu District, Hangzhou City, with its core location at 30°15′N, 120°07′E. With a total area of 284.64 hectares, the botanical garden was established in 1956 and is one of the scientific research institutions for plant introduction and domestication in China.
The open and complete exhibition area of Hangzhou Botanical Garden covers an area of 115.6 hectares, which can be divided into: ornamental plant area (special garden), plant classification area, economic plant area, and forest park according to different functions. The ornamental plant area consists of 8 special gardens, including Magnolia Mountain Camellia Garden, Azalea Maple Garden, Osmanthus Crape Myrtle Garden, Peach Garden, Lingfeng Plum Garden, Herb Garden, Landscape Garden, and Bamboo Plant Area.
Hangzhou Botanical Garden is very close to Longjing Village in Hangzhou.
Even in winter, it is still beautiful
How bright would it be if the flowers were in full bloom?
recommend!
I just went there recently. The botanical garden was in early March. The magnolias on both sides of the road were so beautiful. The magnolias on Yugu Road outside the north gate of the botanical garden are also spectacular. The ticket is 10 yuan. The botanical garden is very large. There are several small hills inside when you enter from the main gate. You will get lost. You can reach Lingfeng and Qingzhiwu by going over a small hill from the north gate. You can also enter from Qingzhiwu. There are different flowers in each season. It is nice to have a picnic here when the weather is good.
I went there before the plum blossoms bloomed, just to take some photos of people, the effect was pretty good

Hangzhou Botanical Garden is about 1.5 kilometers away from West Lake, and the chrysanthemum exhibition every autumn is worth seeing.
It is also on the edge of West Lake, and various exhibitions are held when the plants are flourishing. Although I haven't visited it carefully, it is very quiet inside, with tall trees and shady greenery.
It's very close to Zhejiang University. The bamboo forest is very beautiful. It was raining and there was a typhoon on the day we went there, but it was still very beautiful.
The scenery is very good. We went there late, so no entrance fee was charged.
The scenery is very good. We went there late, so no entrance fee was charged.
There are a lot of plants in Hangzhou Botanical Garden, but I don't know if I didn't find the right place or if there is none. I thought it would be similar to Beijing Botanical Garden, with greenhouses containing all kinds of rare plants and flowers, but I didn't find any. It would be even better if there is.
Hangzhou Botanical Garden is not big and it takes about an hour to walk around it, which is perfect for a walk after dinner.
We went to the Botanical Garden by accident! Because it was raining, we felt the air was especially fresh. We entered a bamboo forest, took a deep breath, and the whole world became beautiful!
植物園很大,玉泉就在植物園內。魚很大,荷花的品種很多,是賞魚觀荷的好去處。
The environment in the botanical garden is very good, with gurgling water. I really want to walk around here for a while and breathe some oxygen~~
We walked from Qingzhiwu to Lingyin Temple in Feilaifeng Scenic Area. The lush greenery felt great. . . We took a lot of photos there.
Take the subway to Longxiang Bridge, walk 200 meters to the intersection of Dongpo Road and Pinghai Road, take bus No. 7 and get off at Hangzhou Botanical Garden, which is the main gate. There is no entrance fee at the entrance, and many newlyweds usually take wedding photos here. You need to walk about 800 meters to the entrance of the Botanical Garden scenic area. You need to buy a ticket to enter, 10 yuan per ticket. If you have a Hangzhou Park Card, you can enter for free. We went there in winter, and a few plum blossoms had just bloomed. There were not many people in the scenic area, and many leaves had fallen. There were not many people walking in the whole park. It was very quiet. It was also very interesting to sit on the lawn and take pictures in the sun. There is a map of the main flowers in the botanical garden at the entrance of the scenic area. The flowers here are mainly concentrated in spring and summer, and there will be relatively fewer in autumn and winter. For friends who are mainly for flower viewing, you can go in spring and summer. Spring is the best, with tulip exhibitions and chrysanthemum exhibitions. Of course, there will be many tourists at that time. The area in the botanical garden is relatively large, and the adjacent places are all scenic spots. It is very close to Yue Temple, Quyuan Fenghe, and Qingzhiwu. There is also a provincial PLA 117 Hospital next to it. After the tour, you can walk back to visit Quyuan Fenghe or Yue Temple. If you walk back along Beishan Road, you will see Su Xiaoxiao's Tomb, Broken Bridge, and Baoshu Tower. There are many scenic spots along this road, so you can spend a whole day there. There are also some blind date programs in the botanical garden. Many people choose to go to the botanical garden for blind dates, probably because the scenery here is good and it is not too noisy.
The main purpose of going to the Botanical Garden is to see the "Lingfeng Plum Blossoms". Take bus No. 7 and get off at Hongchunqiao Station. The ticket is only 10 yuan. I was quite disappointed when I first entered because I didn't see any plants that impressed me. But the further I walked, the more I felt that the 10 yuan was really worth it. Although the Botanical Garden is not as big as Chaoshan, it took me more than two hours to walk the whole way. There are the largest plum trees I have seen in Hangzhou; the tallest wintersweets; and the most green plum trees. There are also grafted plum blossoms that bloom the best, with two colors of plum blossoms on one plum tree. Moreover, if you go to Hangzhou in February, you can only see plum blossoms in other places, but you can see all kinds of flowers in the Botanical Garden. There is a place that uses plants and flowers to make many beautiful handicrafts. The fish in the famous Yuquan Pool are so big that they can be spirits. The last one in the Botanical Garden is the "Lingfeng Plum Blossoms". The best place to enjoy the plum blossoms in Lingfeng is Yaotai halfway up the mountain. Although it is not as diverse and numerous as Chaoshan, Lingfeng is close to the city and has many green plum blossoms.
The trees are of a certain age, unlike the roads in some places where good trees are dug up and planted, and then dug up and planted again.
We took the bus back to the inn. The lady boss told us that there is a bamboo forest in the botanical garden, which is also very nice. It is true. So friends who want to see the bamboo forest don’t have to travel thousands of miles to Yunqi Bamboo Trail, the botanical garden can satisfy you!
The park is full of lush vegetation, birds singing, flowers blooming, and many squirrels walking around.
Everything starts with public transportation! The Botanical Garden is near Yugu Road, and there is bus No. 28, which is quite convenient. But the location is a little off.
I remember the ticket price for the botanical garden was 10 yuan, and there were not many people. The most worthwhile attraction was not the plants, but the fish! The fish were very big. And they were koi, so big that they were scary.
It seems that this is due to the White Snake Zone. Ha!
Opposite the Botanical Garden is a bamboo forest with newly grown bamboo shoots and tall bamboos, which is quite spectacular. There is also a stream flowing. It is very leisurely.
It is recommended to go in the afternoon, if it is drizzling, it will be more comfortable.
If you are tired and hungry after shopping, there are several unique restaurants on the street.
I ate at a Firefox restaurant, which was pretty good, with Sichuan style.
The only bad thing is that they charge for napkins. Shocked!
Tip: There is a Zhejiang University to the north of Qingzhiwu, but it is not a famous tourist attraction campus. Don't be confused. This is also a lesson I learned~
It is also a good idea to stay nearby for one night, because the Qingzhiwu Slow Life Community is just opposite.
A very unique homestay. Leisurely and quiet.
It is recommended to get up before 8 am the next morning and go out for a walk
There is a bakery 500 meters to the north - Xiao Fulin, which is pretty good.
There are also a lot of cars there, not far from the Huanglong Gymnasium.
You can choose to go to the east, or take a sightseeing bus to visit the Longjing tea farm area.
Many people think that there is nothing interesting here, but I think it is suitable for people who want to relax and relax.
Overall: Tourists rarely visit this kind of place. After all, it is too far away. But the scenery is beautiful. It is the favorite of the locals.
Views: The scenery is really amazing. You have to look at the flow of people. It is basically seasonal. So it is important to choose the right time to go~
local: Most of the locals go there. Tour groups usually don't go to Hangzhou Botanical Garden. Occasionally there are individual tourists.
Services: There are many direct buses. But it is recommended to walk there. When you reach the terminal, there is a Botanical Garden station. The bus station information should be available. You can find it by searching online. Get your camera ready. Then you can set off~
The botanical garden in the early morning is fresh, moist, comfortable and intoxicating.
To be honest, I still regret it a bit. Although the plum blossoms were beautiful and many people came to appreciate them, it was really too big. I was exhausted and didn't even get out. I looked at the map and there was still half of the way to go. It was raining again, and I still got wet even with an umbrella. Finally, I found an exit and went out without thinking. It took me two hours to spend five yuan.
I didn't expect there is an art gallery in the botanical garden---Han Meilin Art Gallery. It's a very quiet place with almost no people. There are many works of art, and I enjoyed them very much.
I haven't been to a botanical garden yet.
My friend took me there, and it was actually super big! I felt like I couldn't play it all in one day! It's a great place for future filming locations!
It seems that the citizen card can be free
In fact, there are still many sections that I haven’t photographed one by one, and I even saw a peacock!
I still recommend going to the botanical garden!
The trees are bare in winter, but it is beautiful to look up at them like this.
The owner of the hostel told me that there was a chrysanthemum art exhibition at the Hangzhou Botanical Garden this weekend. On the morning of our return trip, we went to the botanical garden and found that chrysanthemums could be designed like this...which was a bit surprising.
There is no admission fee after 4:30 pm and before 7 am. It is a good place for a walk after dinner, but there are a lot of mosquitoes.
The scenery is great. It's rare to find a quiet place in a bustling city! The bamboo forest is beautiful, with all kinds of plants. It's very beautiful. I heard it will be more beautiful in autumn!
The air is fresh and quiet. There are bamboo forests with many bamboo shoots sprouting out. There are reminders on the side that you can't pick them. The camellia and cherry blossoms in the botanical garden are blooming luxuriantly. I picked up two camellias that fell on the roadside and put them on the trash can. I took out my camera and started taking pictures. Hahahaha~ The air in Hangzhou Botanical Garden is very good. There are sycamore trees on both sides of the road. It's not lush, but the new green leaves make people feel full of vitality.
We went to the botanical garden, but unfortunately, the botanical garden was not fully open yet, and we could only see the flower buds. The weather was good, so there were many people camping.
I have been to the botanical garden many times to see the flowers and the scenery, and more often to see the plum blossoms. I also remember there was a restaurant called "Shan Wai Shan" there. Although the price was a bit expensive, the food was delicious!
Hangzhou Botanical Garden in spring. Peach and plum blossoms in full bloom, green grass and lush green plants, deep and peaceful...
The Jade Spring, Moon Gate and Flower Window in the Botanical Garden are all small scenes with unique charm...
Hangzhou is the most famous place for flower viewing. The best seasons to visit are spring and autumn.
If you like nature and the texture of old film, you must come to the botanical garden. I fell in love with the botanical garden because I saw a group of photos on Douban, all of which were tree trunks, branches and leaves in the botanical garden, which felt very forest-like. For a northern girl like me, I only know the "tree pit + tree" model of the botanical garden. Such a natural plant garden is definitely a beautiful curse.
Went around outside
Cherry Blossom Forest
No cherry trees
Administrator said
The cherry trees are all in Prince Bay
Hangzhou Botanical Garden is hidden to the west of West Lake, but not far from the downtown. It is a place that only locals go to, and it is highly recommended. Like Taiziwan Park, it is listed as a must-see attraction. I went there in late autumn before and had a good impression. I always wanted to see what spring looks like. I specially arranged it as the first stop of the day. March is the best time to visit Hangzhou Botanical Garden.
The park is very large and is divided into two areas by Yugu Road. After entering from the east gate, I had to rely on the real-time navigation of Amap to avoid going the wrong way. I would not miss the recommended spots in the guide, and even the nearby toilets were displayed, which made me feel safer when traveling alone and less worried.
It was the end of the magnolia season. Walking along the avenue in the park was like walking under the shade of summer, except that the green leaves were replaced by white flowers, a rare style in the city. Driving through the shade of flowers, a breeze blew, bringing petals from the low branches, fluttering behind the cyclists, like a string of lingering echoes, and a scent filled the garden. In the spring when all flowers are in full bloom, the cherry blossoms in the park are in full bloom. To be precise, the entire city of Hangzhou is in the beautiful moment of cherry blossoms in full bloom.
In the landscape garden of the botanical garden, several cherry trees have become the focus of all tourists to enjoy the spring. These trees look very old, with tall and majestic crowns. Whether viewed from afar or up close, these cherry trees have begun to sway and bloom in the wind, like the dancing posture of a beautiful woman, which is heart-stirring and soul-stirring.
But even if it is not in bloom, the pavilions and towers in the style of Jiangnan in Hangzhou Botanical Garden are still textbook examples of garden design. Walking down the slope, I walked into the long-missed Yuquan Yuyue. The fish park is fine. What I saw and felt in this city is accompanied by bits of past memories, sometimes puzzled, sometimes nostalgic. Now I see the huge mackerel in the pond is still safe and happy, as if it has grown a lot compared to the last time I saw it.
Yugu Road is the dividing line, which is divided into two areas, the west and the east. The main attractions are in the west area, so there are fewer people in the east area, and some photography studios will go there to shoot.
