There were a lot of people at West Lake during the Qingming Festival. Fortunately, I stayed in Hangzhou for a long time, and then I went there again. Hahaha, my legs were almost exhausted, but it was worth it. I think young people should not take the sightseeing bus. After all, there will be plenty of opportunities in the future. It is still possible to take a boat to see the Three Springs Reflecting the Moon. I overlooked the West Lake from Leifeng Pagoda. The atmosphere was gentle and the lake and sky were leaning against each other. I felt the broken walls and ruins protected by glass. When I saw the scenic area (the display board recording the collapse of Leifeng Pagoda in 1924), it was a pity, otherwise the beautiful story and Buddhist cultural architecture would be more profound. Walking on Baidi and Sudi, the road was lush and green, and the sparkling waves were peaceful and pleasant, but there were catkins floating all the time, which was uncomfortable if you were allergic to it... I won't go into details about the others. By the way, it's better to go under the Longxiang Bridge of the subway. There is a navigation that is not quite right.

If I were to compare the West Lake to Xi Shi, she would look beautiful with either light or heavy makeup.

I always feel that Hangzhou is a very beautiful city. West Lake is a business card of Hangzhou and even more so the soul of Hangzhou. Each season has its own merits. In spring, "Su Causeway is full of flowers and willows are full of smoke", in summer, there are "red clothes and green fans reflecting the clear waves", in autumn, there is "the lake is full of autumn light", and in winter, there is "a trace of blue and white ink on the Bai Causeway".

In early March, go for an outing along the West Lake, strolling from Baidi to Sudi, as if walking in poetry and painting. Whether it is the shimmering water on a sunny day, the misty mountains on a rainy day, or the moonlit pear blossoms in the courtyard, or the gentle breeze in the willow catkins pond, you will feel something in your heart. Whether walking or sitting, the years are peaceful, and the ten major scenic spots of West Lake come one after another. This season is the best time to appreciate what "Sudi Spring Dawn" and "Wings Singing in the Willow Waves" are. There is poetry in the name and painting in the name.

"Su Causeway in Dawn in Spring". Dawn in spring is the best time to appreciate the Su Causeway, when the mist is shrouded, willows are green, and peach blossoms are in full bloom, showing the charming and gentle temperament of West Lake.

"Willow waves and orioles." There are many willow trees on the banks of West Lake. The wind sways them into waves and the orioles sing melodiously. Now, when you stroll along the willows, you can hear the willow branches brushing your face and the orioles singing, creating a lively scene.

Guide to a one-day trip to West Lake in Hangzhou!

Traveling to Suzhou, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Wuzhen, let’s organize the travel guide to West Lake today!

📢Tour sequence: Broken Bridge with Remaining Snow > Bai Causeway > Su Causeway > Fish Viewing at Flower Harbor > Three Pools Mirroring the Moon (by boat) > Leifeng Pagoda > Music Fountain

☞ Originally, referring to other people's guides, I reversed the order above, but I found that this way I could see the panoramic view of West Lake during the day and at night from Leifeng Pagoda (of course it is a bit dark at night), but the Leifeng Pagoda is indeed more beautiful after the lights are on than during the day

☞1 Broken Bridge and Remaining Snow

My personal feeling is that it is so ordinary that I thought I had never been there before and wondered if I had come to the wrong place. It really proved that the pictures are deceiving.

☞2Bai Causeway

We walked completely. If you have enough time and are not afraid of being tired, you can walk. The scenery is OK, but it is far inferior to Su Causeway. So it is recommended that you take the tram in the scenic area at Bai Causeway.

>After passing Baidi Bridge, you will see (Pinghu Qiuyue). To be honest, this scenic spot doesn’t live up to its name, but I can only imagine how beautiful this place was in ancient times, so it was named like this [shy R] [shy R] [shy R]

☞3Su Causeway

Su Causeway is really nice, with a total length of more than 270 meters. It is recommended to walk slowly and feel the beautiful scenery on both sides. Occasionally, you can choose a place to sit down and gaze into the distance. It really gives people a very comfortable feeling. Therefore, you must walk the entire Su Causeway by yourself [slanting eyes R] [slanting eyes R] [slanting eyes R] [slanting eyes R]

☞4 Watching Fish at Huagang

Located at the end of Su Causeway, there is a thousand-year-old fish pond. To be honest, it is just average. I can only sigh that it has a long history. Apart from a square pond with fish in it, I can't understand anything. You can get along with the tour guides and listen to their explanations, otherwise you won't know what you are seeing?_? Further in, there is a (Jiangzhuang), which I like. I really envy the people who could live there at that time. They live by the lake and have steps leading to the lake. I envy them so much. I feel that being by the lake is more comfortable than being by the sea. Then there are a few more attractions inside, but they said it was boring, so I left

☞5Three Pools Mirroring the Moon

You must see this, but I don't recommend taking the 55-yuan boat. You can go to Huagang to watch fish. The 55 yuan includes the boat ticket and the Santan ticket. To be honest, it's super boring to go to that island! Later, I saw in the guide that you can take a rocking boat, which costs 180 yuan per boat and can seat 6 people. You can share a boat with others. You can get close to the three stone towers. If you go to the island to take pictures, you can't take them clearly. Of course, if you have a camera, it's another story [snickering R] [snickering R] [snickering R] [snickering R]

☞6Leifeng Pagoda (¥40)

On the way back, we landed at Huagang Wharf, and then walked to the left to reach Leifeng Pagoda. It is recommended to visit the original site of Leifeng Pagoda. It is a pity that the original site collapsed. However, if there was no new one, perhaps we would not be able to climb up and overlook the entire West Lake [sneak sneer R] [sneak sneer R] [sneak sneer R]

☞7Musical Fountain

I went there last. There were two performances at 7pm and 8pm. They were pretty good, but there were too many people. If you go early, you can get a seat in the front and watch the 7pm show. If you go late, you can wait for the 7pm show to end and then sit in the front when the crowd disperses to watch the 8pm show.

If I were to compare the West Lake to Xi Shi, she would look beautiful with either light or heavy makeup.

Mr. Dongpo's praise for West Lake is deeply rooted in people's hearts and exists in the depths of memory. I have been to West Lake three times and I always have different feelings every time I go there because I can't see everything in one go. The most impressive thing should be that I happened to catch up with the G20 summit and arrived two days before the scenic area was about to be closed. I thought I couldn't enter Hangzhou, but fortunately, I just checked more. The advantage is that there were not many people even though it was the peak tourist season. I finally caught a good opportunity. West Lake is so big that you can measure it with your feet. After half a day, I was very tired. West Lake is not just about the lake. There are many small attractions in it. Quyuan Wind, Lotus Willow Waves, Singing Orioles, Flower Harbor, Watching Fish, Su Causeway, Baidi, Broken Bridge, Three Pools Mirroring the Moon, and Leifeng Pagoda are all in the entire West Lake Scenic Area, but I haven't been to Leifeng Pagoda so far, so I can only wait until later. I say that every attraction is worth a visit because each is different and has a unique existence. The night view of West Lake is said to be very beautiful. Many scenes need to be seen and felt with your own eyes. West Lake is best visited in April and May, which is the transition period between spring and summer. The weather is just right, not too cold or too hot. It starts to get hot in June, and the physical sensation is not too good. Once the weather is hot, it is easy to get tired. West Lake requires walking slowly and carefully, so it is not suitable for midsummer.

I’m new to Hangzhou and would like to leave a comment.

A few years ago, before I came to Hangzhou, I visited West Lake twice. Like most tourists, I came for the ten scenic spots of the old West Lake. I walked around the outer West Lake (lakeside-Beishan Street-Su Causeway-Nanshan Road) in one day. At that time, I liked Su Causeway the most. There were not as many people as the lakeside, and the pink peach blossoms and green willows were very beautiful.

Later, I settled in Hangzhou. In the past year or so, I have visited almost every part of West Lake. Because I can't stand the crowds, I basically start from Yanggong Dike every time I go to West Lake. I think Yanggong Dike and the mountains of West Lake to the west of Yanggong Dike are the most beautiful parts of West Lake, and these places are rarely visited by foreign tourists. If you really want to play West Lake thoroughly, you may need a week and enough physical strength. Among the ten scenic spots of West Lake, the new ten scenic spots of West Lake and the three-evaluated ten scenic spots of West Lake, let me talk about the ones I personally visit most often:

1. Orioles Singing in the Willow Waves (next to Qingbo Gate, there are always a lot of people on holidays, but there is no way to avoid it because the willow trees here are really beautiful)

2. Quyuan Fenghe (west of Su Causeway and east of Yanggong Causeway, connected to Su Causeway by Yudai Bridge. It is very good to see Yudai Bridge at Impression of West Lake opposite Yue Temple. This scenic spot is less crowded than the other old ten scenic spots. Every time I finish walking on Yanggong Causeway, I pass Quyuan Fenghe and return to Beishan Street)

3. Jiuxi Yanshu (Stop talking nonsense, I strongly recommend it. It is really beautiful here, a paradise on earth. You can hike here from Longjing Village or Qiantang River. The hiking routes are also very beautiful ancient roads.)

4. Yunqi Bamboo Trail (The entrance is on Meiling South Road. You can go from Wuyun Mountain in the scenic area to Longjing Village. Although it is very tiring, it is worth it to see the whole expanse of tea mountains on the way! I strongly recommend this route to friends who like hiking.)

5. Longjing Tea (Longjing Village in the valley where almost every household runs a teahouse is also a paradise. The first time I went to Jiuxi, I started my hike from here.)

6. Baoshi Liuxia (Baoshi Mountain is the best place to overlook Baidi Bridge. You can climb it during the day or at night. It is very comfortable to enjoy the breeze on the top of the mountain and wait for the night view of West Lake.)

7. Yangdi Jingxing (Can you recommend all the scenic spots along Yanggong Dike? Thank you, Yuhu Bay, Wuguitan, Maojiabu, Guozhuang. There are few people and it is quiet. You can sit here for a whole day and do nothing)

8. Meiwu Chunzao (Meijiawu, Meiling South Road, is a place rich in tea. It is a great place to eat, drink tea, chat and walk. It can make you forget the dust of the city.).

9. Jiuyao Mountain (go up the mountain from Nanping Mountain, pass the Lotus Seed Peak, and reach the top of Jiuyao Mountain behind Taiziwan Park, or climb directly from Taiziwan. Here you can overlook the West Lake, and you can see the West Lake inside and outside Yanggong Causeway and Su Causeway)

10. Manjuelong (I heard that the most beautiful time in Manjuelong is when the sweet osmanthus flowers bloom in autumn, which is known as Manjuelong Osmanthus Rain. I haven't been there in autumn, but I still recommend it. From Manjuelong to the Guiren Pavilion on the back mountain of Hupao, I like this hiking route very much. When you reach the top of the mountain, you can overlook the West Lake and the zigzag bend of Qiantang River. There is a road down the mountain leading to the back gate of Hupao, and you can enter for free from here. I don't tell ordinary people)

I want to take back my comment that I thought West Lake was so so. It was also because the news reports suddenly covered all kinds of Jiangnan snow scenes that I was fascinated. I booked a flight on Thursday afternoon and flew to Hangzhou and Jiaxing for two days on the weekend. I went to West Lake in July and August a long time ago, and the impression was not too deep. There were cruise ships at that time. Maybe it was because of the arrogant explanation that I didn’t have a good impression. Later, I came to Hangzhou several times, but my first impression was generally not as beautiful as it was hyped.

I came alone this time. It started to rain when I arrived at the West Lake. I remember someone said that you must visit the West Lake in the rain. This time, I not only saw the West Lake in the snow, but also experienced walking in the rain. It was just that I didn't have the aesthetic feeling of walking with an oil-paper umbrella as I imagined. It was a bit desolate. It is more appropriate to wear a raincoat in this kind of weather. The West Lake is very large, and it is basically difficult to go back. If you want to have a good walk, it is better to prepare a whole day. It is best to prepare some dry food. It is a bit troublesome to eat. There are some places to buy food, but Chinese attractions are expensive and rip people off. There is a bus line 7 along the coast, which comes from Lingyin Temple. Lingyin Temple requires tickets, but West Lake does not require tickets. I envy the people of Hangzhou.

The Broken Bridge with Snow is a famous scenery on the West Lake. It is one of the ten scenic spots of the West Lake, and is known for the bridge deck looming on the lake surface from a distance during the winter snow. Although it was full of people at the Duan Bridge, it was still very charming. At that time, I was wondering why these people had been crowded on the Broken Bridge and didn't leave. It was not until I got on the bridge that I was shocked by the scenery on the other side. It's not an exaggeration, the picture is so unreal, like a splash-ink painting on clothes. Because I didn't bring a telephoto lens, the distant view was still not enough and was relatively blurry. It would be clearer with the naked eye, and the fog brought by the occasional rain made it look like a fairyland. The snow scene combined with the Jiangnan architecture made me feel like I had traveled through a thousand years.

When I was about to return, I found out that Jiangnan hadn’t had this much snow in the past ten years. This spontaneous trip was really worth it! Tips for taking photos of snowy scenes: Wearing a red shirt or skirt will make it look more suitable.

Tips: If you get off at Xiaoshan Airport, you can buy a ticket for "Pinghai Road" and go to Gate 8 to wait for the bus. Get off at Pinghai Road and follow the navigation or ask for directions and walk to West Lake. It is very close.

If you get off at Hangzhou East Station, you can take the subway to Longxiang Bridge Station and walk to West Lake.

If you need to rent a house, it is best to be realistic and compare prices on the Internet before deciding. Have fun

(If the actual route is different from the above guide, and the actual route has changed, please tell me for verification and modification)

After leaving the Lei Feng Pagoda, we continued walking around the lake along the route of the previous day. I have to say that although it was still a little cold in early spring, walking by the lake was quite a pleasant experience: the air was moist, the birds were singing and the flowers were fragrant. Although it was not a sunny day, the West Lake was like a Chinese ink painting. As we walked, this ink scroll slowly unfolded, and no matter how the angle changed, it had a unique beauty.

In August 2015, I left my hometown to go to Hangzhou, a beautiful paradise, with my yearning for the southern Jiangnan water town. I have been working and living here for the fourth year. On weekends and holidays, when I am free and interested, I will go to famous and relatively less famous places in Hangzhou with my colleagues or by myself. On February 4, 2018, a bright winter day, I went to the West Lake with Mingyue. I have actually been to the West Lake more than 3 or 5 times, but the West Lake and its surroundings are actually very large, and I have not yet walked through them all. This time I went to the Su Dongpo Memorial Hall-Su Causeway-Quyuan Fenghe line. Because it was winter, there were only withered lotus and sunset, which was also a unique view.

By Press the Home button to go home |

I am used to the desert, the loess and the sand, but I also miss the flowing water and people in the south of the Yangtze River.

It is a blessing to be able to stroll in Hangzhou and enjoy the picturesque bridges in the "most beautiful April" season.

The Lingyin Temple, which I have never forgotten, is even more magical because of the story of Jigong. The grand and solemn hall filled with incense is finally visible.

"I love the white sand embankment under the shade of green willows on the east side of the lake the most." I have imagined the scenery countless times. Strolling along the Baidi Causeway, I can appreciate Bai Juyi's infatuation with West Lake during his three years in Hangzhou.

On a sunny day in spring, boating on the lake can only make you feel "the spring water is bluer than the sky", but you can't "sleep on a painted boat listening to the rain".

"I couldn't leave Hangzhou, half of the reason I stayed was this lake"

This is how to visit West Lake. Take the subway from Hangzhou City Station (train station) to Longxiang Station, head north to the West Lake to visit the six parks, along the lake to the Broken Bridge, walk along the Bai Causeway to Pinghu Qiuyue, and visit Zhongshan Park. Basically walk the entire route. Then follow the Bai Causeway to visit Yue Fei Temple, cross the road to visit Quyuan Fenghe, then go to Su Causeway, walk about 2 kilometers to Huagang Park, come back and take a boat to the small island of Three Pools Mirroring the Moon, then take a boat to the lakeside, and return to Longxiang subway station. This way you can play for a full day, basically a panoramic circle of West Lake. The subway station is 1 kilometer from the Broken Bridge, the Bai Causeway is 2 kilometers long, and the Su Causeway is 2.5 kilometers long. The lakeside is about 600 meters from the subway station. The traffic of Lei Feng Tower is inconvenient and it is a waste of time to delay for a long time. You can give up the one-day tour. Look at the Broken Bridge in the picture below. There are mostly crowds. Just bring your own water when you go out. The scenic area does not supply boiled water during the Bai Causeway and Su Causeway tours.

West Lake, located in the west of Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, is China's main ornamental freshwater lake and one of the first batch of national key scenic spots in China. West Lake is surrounded by mountains on three sides, with an area of about 6.39 square kilometers, about 2.8 kilometers wide from east to west, about 3.2 kilometers long from north to south, and nearly 15 kilometers around the lake. The lake is divided by Gushan, Baidi, Sudi, and Yanggongdi. According to the size of the area, there are five water surfaces: Outer West Lake, Xili Lake, Beili Lake, Xiaonan Lake, and Yue Lake. Sudi and Baidi cross the lake surface, and Xiaoyingzhou, Huxin Pavilion, and Ruangongdun, three artificial islands, stand in the center of the Outer West Lake. Leifeng Pagoda on Xizhao Mountain and Baochu Pagoda on Baoshi Mountain are reflected across the lake, thus forming the basic pattern of "one mountain, two towers, three islands, three embankments, and five lakes". On June 24, 2011, Hangzhou West Lake was listed as a World Heritage Site.

Praise Hangzhou beauty

Sweet and soft words,

Cherry lips and rosy face.

A phoenix-colored silk dress,

The broken bridge and broken willows filled the sky.

Suzhou and Hangzhou are famous for their outstanding people and beautiful scenery.

I only envy Su Shi for not pursuing immortality.

Xizi's hometown is full of beauties.

We make an appointment at dusk next year.

~This is my fourth visit to Hangzhou. What impressed me most is the unabated enthusiasm of Hangzhou people. When I asked for directions from an older woman in Hangzhou, she actually walked us to the station herself. At Lingyin Temple, a young girl walked up the stairs with her husband. On Saturday, I met a female college student on the tour. She took the initiative to tell us about the attractions and customs of Hangzhou, which moved me a lot.

Times have changed, but I feel that the people of Hangzhou have become more enthusiastic. It was a warm trip!

Today, the soft branches are full of poems

Hangzhou West Lake is one of the top ten most popular cherry blossom viewing spots in China. The most beautiful ones are the scarlet mountain cherry blossoms in Taiziwan Park, the purple-red Fujian mountain cherry blossoms in Hangzhou Botanical Garden, and the light pink Kawazu cherry blossoms. In addition, there are cherry blossoms in Baita Park, rape flowers in the ornamental grass area, magnolias in the aquatic plant area, red-leaf plums in Huagang Park, and jasmine flowers in Changqiao Park.

If you want to compare West Lake to Xi Shi, light makeup or heavy makeup is always suitable. It is a very large lake. When I went there in mid-May, it was already quite hot and humid, but it was nice to stroll around the lake at night and eat and drink. The various cultural relics and natural scenery are much better than other city lakes - Wuhan East Lake and Jinan Daming Lake. West Lake is suitable for slow tasting, drinking tea and listening to music at the teahouse; in a secluded place, you can watch the wild ducks in the water.

Many people go to West Lake just to cruise around the lake. To be honest, I think the lake is just average. But I live in Qingzhiwu, which is on the mountain west of West Lake. In the morning, I rode my bike all the way to West Lake. The scenery is really beautiful. On the contrary, this beauty is lost a lot when you are on the lake. I strongly recommend that you spend a day to take a good look at the back mountain, which is the Yanggongti side of the Botanical Garden Lingyin Temple.

The West Lake is included in the World Cultural Heritage List. It has been a famous scenic spot since ancient times. It is free now, but of course you need to pay to take a boat tour of the West Lake. There is Leifeng Pagoda in the scenic area. Although it has been restored now, the love story of White Snake and Xu Xian is still very attractive to visit. The Three Pools Mirroring the Moon indoors is more famous at night. You must take a boat when going to the West Lake.

Last time I came to West Lake, it was raining. This time I came to West Lake, it was snowing. Although I didn't see the Broken Bridge with snow, the scenery of the lake frozen and the snow covering the branches was amazing. I didn't go to the lake island last time. This time I had a sudden whim to get close to the Three Pools Mirroring the Moon and went to the lake island. I avoided a large number of tourists and saw a large area of frozen lake. It was worth it. There are ten scenic spots in West Lake. If you want to play all of them, it will take about a day. If the weather is not too cold, it is recommended to rent a bicycle and ride while playing. There are some unknown corners hidden by the West Lake. Unfortunately, this time I encountered snowmelt, and even the courage to ride a bicycle was blown away by the cold wind. I had to walk the whole way, but I missed some attractions. But because I played all of them, I didn't regret it. If possible, it is recommended to live near the West Lake Scenic Area near Qingzhiwu. It is really convenient to get to West Lake and the environment is also very good.

The Qing Dynasty's Lenglu Miscellaneous Notes said: "There are thirty-six West Lakes in the world, and the best one is Hangzhou."

There are thirty-six West Lakes in the world, and the most beautiful and best of them is the West Lake in Hangzhou. There are thirty new and old scenes around the West Lake. Even if you play for three days and three nights, you still feel that you haven't had enough. Moreover, the scenery of the West Lake in four parts of the year is also different. As a local, except for the crowded holidays, I often go to the lake for a walk, ride a bicycle, etc. Every time I go there, I feel that I will never get tired of the scenery here. The West Lake has its own beauty in four seasons, and its beauty in the morning and evening. When it is cool at night, taking a walk and chatting with friends here is very poetic and makes you feel very comfortable.

It was bad weather when I went to West Lake. It was drizzling and foggy. The lake was no longer as clear as it used to be. The lake water and the sky were the same color. The boats floating in the lake were the only dark color to embellish it. The reeds in the lake, the distant mountains in the sky, and a little light were all that the West Lake had that day. But even with these unqualified conditions, I still think it is beautiful.

In fact, it is not that there is no green, as long as you have a suitable filter.

By Shallow |

The lotus leaves are endless and green, but most of the lotus flowers are buds, with only one or two blooming in the green carpet. The West Lake is really light, and the mountains are hidden in the horizon. There are still many people on the Broken Bridge, looking forward to their own fate. In Shenzhen, there is a lot of traffic, as if you slow down, you will be overtaken and left behind. But by the West Lake, you feel that slowing down and enjoying the present is life.

The lake is very clear. It contrasts beautifully with the blue sky and white clouds. During the day, every area of West Lake is crowded with people. Occasionally, there are tour groups coming, which makes it very lively.

The white clouds here are very thick, thicker than the ones I saw in Xitang and Wuzhen. Occasionally, a boat would pass by on the lake. Originally, I was very afraid of taking a boat, but I loved West Lake so much that I mustered up the courage and took a boat trip with Congcong.

The West Lake is so big. There are ten scenic spots on the old and new west roads. We didn’t have too many plans, so we just rushed around. The West Lake is beautiful, but not stunning. The beauty of the West Lake is not just about natural scenery, but more about culture and charm. Every story and every legend makes the West Lake full of mystery. Appreciating the West Lake is not only about the eyes, but also about the heart.

If I were to compare the West Lake to Xi Shi, she looks beautiful with both heavy and light makeup. Although it was cloudy, it did not affect the beauty of the West Lake. This time, I first visited the Broken Bridge and Residual Snow, then the Autumn Moon over the Calm Lake, then the Xiling Seal Society, and finally the Winding Courtyard with Lotus Flowers. I have been in the West Lake for two days and have visited almost all ten scenic spots. My favorites are the Xiling Seal Society and the Winding Courtyard with Lotus Flowers.

We walked along Huansha Road and Pinghai Road to West Lake. West Lake is located to the west of Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is one of the first batch of national key scenic spots in mainland China and one of the top ten scenic spots in China. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides, with an area of about 6.39 kilometers, a width of about 2.8 kilometers from east to west, a length of about 3.2 kilometers from north to south, and a circumference of nearly 15 kilometers. Gushan, Baidi, Sudi, and Yanggongdi divide the lake into five parts: Lihu, Waihu, Yuehu, Xilihu, and Xiaonanhu. Sudi and Baidi cross the lake, and the three small islands of Xiaoyingzhou, Huxinting, and Ruangongdun stand in the center of the outer West Lake. The Leifeng Pagoda on Xizhao Mountain and the Baochu Pagoda on Baoshi Mountain are reflected across the lake, thus forming the beautiful scenery of "one mountain, two towers, three islands, three embankments, and five lakes", which is intoxicating.

The water of West Lake is my tears. I would rather turn into a flame with you. West Lake is a scenic spot that every Chinese has heard of and seen. West Lake is China's main ornamental freshwater lake and one of the first national key scenic spots in China. Sudi and Baidi cross the lake surface. Xiaoyingzhou, Huxin Pavilion, and Ruan Gongdun, three artificial islands, stand in the center of Outer West Lake.

Approaching the glass-like lake

My heart is beating

It's a crowd of people

It's a striking summer dress

It's a dazzling light and shadow

Light up the night of West Lake

I wandered along the bank of West Lake

Looking at the smiles of tourists

Listening to praise in different dialects

The night at West Lake is no worse than the day

Love West Lake

Day or night

Whether it is spring, autumn, winter or summer

Her beauty

Always there

The West Lake is really beautiful. The colors in late autumn are rich and varied, including yellow, green, red, blue, and the blingbling lake surface. Although I didn't take a cruise, I enjoyed it very much just by the shore.

"Of the thirty-six West Lakes in the world, the most beautiful is Hangzhou." The natural beauty and cultural heritage of Hangzhou West Lake have long been known to everyone. For thousands of years, many literati and scholars have either chanted poems or composed fu, giving countless praises to West Lake. For tourists, West Lake is the symbol of Hangzhou's beauty.

This project is not included in the itinerary, but was recommended by the tour guide. Each person only needs to pay 50 yuan. The bus will take us to the West Lake, and then we will take a pleasure boat to tour the West Lake in Hangzhou. The tour guide will explain the ten scenic spots of the West Lake throughout the whole process, with vivid images and full of pictures. The ten scenic spots of the West Lake were formed in the Southern Song Dynasty, and are basically distributed around the West Lake, and some are located on the lake. Su Causeway Spring Dawn, Winding Garden Lotus, Calm Lake Autumn Moon, Broken Bridge Residual Snow, Willow Waves Singing Orioles, Flower Harbor Watching Fish, Leifeng Sunset, Twin Peaks Piercing the Clouds, Nanping Evening Bell, Three Pools Mirroring the Moon. The ten scenic spots of the West Lake are each good at their own merits, and when combined together, they can represent the essence of the ancient West Lake scenic spots, so both Hangzhou locals and foreign landscape tourists are very fond of talking about them, and it is better to visit them first.

I often stroll along the West Causeway of the Summer Palace in Beijing. We have a different feeling towards its original architectural template: the Su Causeway of West Lake, which is different from other scenic spots. Walking on the Su Causeway, I feel both strange and familiar. The strange feeling comes from the visual information of the real world, and the familiar feeling comes from the emotional restoration of the imaginary space. These subtle thoughts can only be felt by ourselves.

Before we went, I read other people’s travel guides and they all recommended to travel counterclockwise, so we first went to Broken Bridge with Snow, and then walked all the way to Leifeng Pagoda!

Later, we found out that we should go clockwise! There are electric cars in West Lake, 40 yuan per person, you can get off at every stop, and the electric cars only run clockwise! If you want to take a car, you have to go clockwise! We were so stupid that we didn’t realize this problem until we walked to Su Causeway Chunxiao, so we gritted our teeth and continued to walk the rest of the way!

Only the Three Pools Mirroring the Moon requires a boat ride to get there, the rest can be reached by electric cars!

By A light boat |

1. Sightseeing bus: If you walk around the West Lake, it will take at least half a day. If you are tired, it is recommended to take a sightseeing bus. A full circle costs 80 yuan per person and the ride time is more than half an hour. You can also take a bus to designated stops, which costs 20 yuan per stop.

2. For boat trips, there are rowing boats and motor boats to choose from. There are many docks for boat trips, and there are docks at almost all scenic spots around the lake. The rowing boat is rowed by the boatman. When we asked for the first time, it was 150 yuan/boat; then one day it rained, and when we took the rowing boat again, it was 225 yuan (three people in one boat). The motor boat is 50 yuan/person. The rowing boat is more artistic, after all, it is close to the lake, but the disadvantage is that it is too slow, and it basically takes one and a half hours to row up.

3. Clothing: I personally recommend wearing a cheongsam by the West Lake, which is more colorful and has a sense of ancient lotus style. It would be even better if you have an oil-paper umbrella. I don’t have an oil-paper umbrella, so I used a fan instead, which is not bad, and it is better than having nothing in my hand.

4. You should also prepare mosquito repellent and toilet water when you go to Baoshishan. Mosquitoes attack in groups. I still shudder when I think about it.

West Lake is the soul of Hangzhou, so it needs no introduction. Su Causeway in Spring Dawn, Three Pools Mirroring the Moon, Winding Garden with Lotus, Calm Lake in Autumn Moon, Broken Bridge in Snow, Leifeng Pagoda in Sunset, Nanping Evening Bell, etc. are all well-known scenic spots.

On the east side of Baidi Bridge is the scenic spot Broken Bridge with Remaining Snow. As the saying goes, the Broken Bridge is not broken, but in fact, the Broken Bridge only appears to be broken when the sky clears up after the snow.

Pinghu Autumn Moon is the end of Baidi Bridge and the best place to enjoy the panoramic view of West Lake from the north bank. When the weather is clear and cool in autumn, the lake is as calm as a mirror, and the moonlight and the lake complement each other, so it is named "Pinghu Autumn Moon".

Su Causeway runs through the north and south of West Lake, with a total length of about 3 kilometers. It was built by Su Shi (1089) when he came to Hangzhou for the second time to serve as the prefect to dredge the West Lake, using the silt he had dredged.

Walking on the Su Causeway after the rain, in the distance, a rainbow appeared just in time on the swaying lake surface. Against the backdrop of the blue sky and white clouds, it looked particularly beautiful.

Across the road from Jingci Temple is Leifeng Pagoda, formerly known as Huangfei Pagoda. Later, it was named Leifeng Pagoda because it was built on Leifeng Mountain. Construction began in 997, more than 1,000 years ago.

Climbing up the Leifeng Pagoda, the sky cleared up, the sunset arrived as expected, and looking out, the entire West Lake was in sight.

"If I were to compare West Lake to Xi Shi, light or heavy makeup would always be suitable."

The West Lake is an invincible mixture of humanities and beautiful scenery. It is both stunning and intoxicating, and it is hard to say goodbye to. When you come to Hangzhou, you can't resist the profound feeling that the West Lake gives you.

In the real picture of my life, the poetic Jiangnan is like the West Lake in Hangzhou. The lake smoke, tower shadows, small bridges, corridors, pavilions and towers, every corner around the West Lake makes tourists feel beautiful, whether it is sunny, rainy, or in the evening.

I became a passer-by again, coming and going in a hurry. By the West Lake, the boundless beauty of the clear water is like a fresh and elegant ink painting, without worries but full of thoughts. A lake, a city with soul.

Too much praise is not as good as your appreciation once.

By Metasequoia |

The water is bright and beautiful when the weather is sunny, and the mountains are misty and strange when it rains.

If I were to compare the West Lake to Xi Shi, she would look beautiful with either light or heavy makeup.

Most people, like me, first learned about West Lake from elementary school Chinese textbooks and then Hangzhou; and first learned about Leifeng Pagoda from TV dramas and then Hangzhou. As a label of Hangzhou, West Lake is the most famous of all the local scenic spots.

In the early morning, the mist on the lake has not yet dissipated, and the outline of the hills in the distance is vaguely visible, and the lines seem to be outlined with an ink pen; nearby, a single-arch bridge lies on the water, and weeping willows hang down their ribbons to cover the bridge hole, like a waterfall blocking the entrance of the Water Curtain Cave.

The boatman rowed with his back to us, his orange life jacket very conspicuous, and the boat slowly approached, as if there was a fire on the boat. We should have taken this kind of tool to visit West Lake, but the lake wind was howling, so we had to take a tightly wrapped modern powered cruise ship instead.

The boat left the shore and headed for the center of the lake, and I slowly recited Bai Juyi's "Spring Tour of Qiantang Lake": North of Gushan Temple and west of Jiating, the water surface is just flat and the clouds are low. Several early orioles compete for warm trees, and new swallows peck at spring mud. The flowers are gradually dazzling, and only shallow grass can hide horse hooves. I love the white sand embankment in the shade of green willows on the east side of the lake.

Compared with 1,200 years ago, the scene seems to have not changed much, with lush green banks and a mirror-like lake surface. However, there are no early orioles or new swallows in winter, and the blackbirds on the treetops are scrambling for the position where the sun shines to keep warm. It is so lively. The flowers are out of season, but the colorful leaves fill the color gap.

"The water is bright and beautiful when the weather is fine; the mountains are misty and strange when it rains. If I were to compare the West Lake to Xi Shi, she looks beautiful with either light or heavy makeup." During my trip to Hangzhou, I increasingly felt that this poem by Su Shi perfectly interpreted the beauty of the West Lake.

Actually, I have been to Hangzhou when I was a child and have seen West Lake, but because it has been so long, I have no impression of it. When I came to West Lake again, I was amazed by its beauty at first sight. I thought that if West Lake really turned into a woman, it should be a Jiangnan beauty like Xi Shi. During the few days of Hangzhou West Lake trip, I caught up with both sunny and rainy days; I saw the city landscape and enjoyed the lake and mountains; I visited Yuewang Temple and Leifeng Pagoda, and also visited Three Pools Mirroring the Moon and Quyuan Fenghe. The beauty of West Lake is no different from what Su Dongpo said in his poem a thousand years ago.

The scenic area services provided by West Lake are also very good. Public toilets can be easily found in basically any area, and the planning is very reasonable.

3. Hangzhou is a leisure city, with a high recommendation index of ❤❤❤.

① There are too many people. I don’t like crowded and noisy places. The whole street is full of people and the whole West Lake is crowded. But its public greening is well done. There are greenery everywhere, especially near the West Lake, which is suitable for walking.

②The commercial economy is also developing very well, with high-rise buildings everywhere, comparable to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.

③The food is just so-so. The food in this area is sweet and sour in flavor, which I am not used to. Moreover, the prices of restaurants are on the high side, which is a common problem in tourist cities. There are too many people, the prices are high and the food is not tasty.

④ And one more thing, I don’t know if it was because of the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, there were too many people, which made the waiters annoyed, and they were unfriendly and impatient (an isolated phenomenon). But the bus driver was very good, and took the initiative to let pedestrians go first at the zebra crossing, which was very good.

By Xiaoxiao Egg Pit |

The West Lake was a little disappointing due to its great reputation and bad weather. Or maybe it was not suitable for visiting the park alone. The long embankment collapsed after walking for a long distance. The branch of the Provincial Museum was not big and I did not make a good plan.

By Hedwig Sugar |

The hotel is not far from the West Lake. Go out and walk around the hotel building, and then cross the road to the West Lake Scenic Area. Suddenly, the view in front of me opened up, and we arrived at the West Lake. The sparkling lake surface was spread out against the backdrop of the mountains. The mountains were a little hazy, wrapped in a thin mist, as if surrounded by fairy air; there were twos and threes of small boats floating leisurely on the lake, just in line with Ouyang Xiu's "people in the boat are fairies"; the willows by the lake were swaying gently in the wind, looking very charming. It is said that the sky and water of the West Lake are beautiful, and the clouds and things are fresh. The gulls and herons are sleeping leisurely, and they should be used to listening to the orchestra.

The so-called "Snow on the Broken Bridge" should be a unique scene in winter, but in midsummer, looking at the Broken Bridge from afar and the vast lake is actually very refreshing.

It was very hot near the West Lake, so I took my child on a retro version of the battery car and started a 70-minute tour around the lake. The retro battery car around the lake costs 80 yuan per person. The body of the car has wooden carvings, antique style, and there are cool mats on the seats. The viewing and comfort are much better than the other 40 yuan per round. However, you can't get off the car halfway, and the ticket will be invalid if you get off the car. If you only take the section, it is 20 yuan per stop, and the direction is one-way clockwise around the lake. The speed of the tour bus is moderate and the field of vision is wide. Feeling the summer breeze, watching the beautiful scenery outside the car passing by, eating the small tomatoes brought by myself, the child smiled sweetly again.

Taking your kids on a car trip in the hot summer is a worry-free and labor-saving option. The only drawback is that you can’t take good photos and can only capture them whenever you have the chance.

If you are not in a hurry, you can also take the bus to the Leifeng Pagoda Station, visit Prince Bay Park, and then take the tour bus back or walk along the lake. Many people got off at the Leifeng Pagoda Station, so there was only three of us on the bus for a while. It felt quite comfortable to charter a bus. When we got close to the Broken Bridge, there were more people, but the baby was almost asleep, so I held him for a nap and then returned to the starting point, ending my trip to West Lake.

If you want to compare West Lake to Xi Shi, heavy makeup or light makeup is always suitable. There is heaven above and Suzhou and Hangzhou below. If it is not hot, it is really very suitable for a slow tour, a step by step, a scene, each with its own characteristics, and traffic flow back and forth.

By I am a cloud |

The tour starts from the Broken Bridge. First, the "Broken Bridge Residual Snow" passes through the Bai Causeway to the island of Gushan, and then passes the "Pinghu Qiuyue". Along the way, there are Zhejiang Provincial Museum, Xiling Seal Society, etc. Then go forward, don't go to Su Causeway first, along the edge of Yue Lake, from the performance place of Impression West Lake to "Quyuan Fenghe", and then return to Su Causeway from Yudai Bridge to enjoy "Su Causeway Chunxiao". Su Causeway is about 3 kilometers long, and it doesn't feel very long when you walk down. It's very pleasant to walk slowly! At the end of Su Causeway is "Huagang Watching Fish". This scenic spot is still quite lively, and many tour groups will slow down here to explain in detail. The scenery that you must see when you come to West Lake is "Three Pools Mirroring the Moon". This scenery that appears behind the 1 yuan RMB needs to be viewed up close by boat. Xiaoyingzhou, located in the center of West Lake, also needs to be boarded by boat. There are two types of West Lake cruises, one is to go directly to the island to visit Xiaoyingzhou, and the other is a hand-cranked boat that can watch the Three Pools Mirroring the Moon up close without going to the island. Everyone can choose according to their own situation, or they can take both! On the return trip from Xiaoyingzhou, you can stop at any stop around West Lake, and you can arrange your own route! I still returned to Huagang to watch fish.

There is heaven above and Suzhou and Hangzhou below. The waters of the south of the Yangtze River make people linger. Every time I sit by the water and watch the sparkling water, my heart is very peaceful, as if I have merged into the mountains and rivers. The West Lake in March is as beautiful as a painting; the West Lake in the mist and rain has a unique charm.

By China-TravelNote users |

The weather was not very good on the day we went there, it was cloudy, but the scenery was still beautiful and not too hot. I spent most of the day walking by the West Lake alone, thinking of visiting all the ten scenic spots of the West Lake, but I found that the scenery along the way was a bit similar, and I felt a bit tired at the end. So I suggest that if you don’t have enough time, you don’t need to visit all the ten scenic spots, just pick a few and walk around, and then arrange the extra time to go somewhere else...

I finally made the trip to Hangzhou that I had longed for for many years. I set aside half a day to stroll around the West Lake. The drizzle and breeze, the green in front of my eyes, each with an umbrella, the quietness and few people. I walked past Su Causeway, Solitary Hill, Bai Causeway, and Broken Bridge. In front of me were distant mountains, lakes, weeping willows, and new lotus. I didn't see the water light, but only the misty mountains. The beautiful scenery and fresh air made me, an old smoker, forget the pleasure of smoking during the few hours I walked by the lake. The rainy lake in early summer is refreshing.

By Annie without a point |

West Lake is really a tourist hotspot all year round. It seems that there are always crowds of people no matter when you go there. However, if it rains, there will be fewer people by the lake. The West Lake in the rain also has a different charm.

If I were to compare the West Lake to Xi Shi, she would look beautiful with either light or heavy makeup.

The West Lake in the clear sky is not as good as the West Lake in the rain, and the West Lake in the rain is not as good as the West Lake in the snow.

I experienced the scenery of West Lake in the rain, and I hope to see the scenery of West Lake in the snow next time~

The water bar of West Lake is not so clean. I went there in winter in 2012, and there were no student tickets for Leifeng Pagoda. I went there once in the spring of 2013, and the Su Causeway and Bai Causeway were very beautiful in the spring. I went there in the early summer of 2019 and took a boat. There were many tourists (if you don't mind the 55.60 yuan boat ticket, you can take a boat). It was all green and ugly. There were flowers and other colors, which were very beautiful.

By XL-Queen |

The West Lake is really huge. After eating at Louwailou, we started to tour the West Lake on bus 11. We walked from Zhongshan Park to Suti and then to Leifeng Pagoda. This was the itinerary for the first day at the West Lake. It was a complete rampage and very tiring!

Although the weather was very hot, it was still cool walking by the lake. The weather was very bad on the second day, so we ate at Zhiweiguan and chose to take a boat from Huagangguanyu to Xiaoyingzhou, and then walked to Baidi and Broken Bridge. There are several piers that can be reached quickly, so you can choose by yourself.

There are so many scenic spots in West Lake that it would take some time to visit each one, but most of them do not require any time.

It was raining on the day I went to Hangzhou. It was a special experience to visit West Lake on a rainy day. The poem "Drinking on the Lake, First Sunny, Then Rainy" came to my mind. Spring Dawn on Su Ti, Snow on Broken Bridge, and Moon Mirroring in Three Pools all have their own stories. I also saw several squirrels on Su Ti. Hangzhou is my favorite city in China.

By Jiangdou |

Warm reminder to everyone, don't go in from the door next to the Broken Bridge. If you walk the other way, you can't get a sightseeing bus. You'll want to cry if you walk so much! It is recommended that if you don't want to walk, you can take a sightseeing bus. The West Lake is very big, and the Su Causeway is several kilometers long. It's too much to walk all the way. You can also take a boat to see the Three Pools Mirroring the Moon. The 55 yuan per person includes the ticket for the Three Pools Mirroring the Moon. You can also take a car to Leifeng Pagoda. I cried because I walked all the way there (´•̥ ̯ •̥`) The ticket for Leifeng Pagoda is 40 yuan. Since you are here, just go and have a look. There is an elevator in the tower that can go directly to the fourth floor, but there are more people queuing. You can see the panoramic view of West Lake when you climb the tower. Opposite Leifeng Pagoda is Jingci Temple. Jingci Temple, which I learned in elementary school as "Xiao Chu Jingci Temple to send Lin Zifang", is closed at five o'clock. I didn't catch it and just sat at the door for a while. I was lucky to meet a squirrel 🐿🐿. The West Lake is very green. Pay attention to observe that there are many squirrels 🐿 on the trees! Walking around West Lake is so tiring. I have no energy left now. Hahaha

There are a lot of people on May Day, but if you get up early, it's not too crowded. If there are a lot of people, you can climb Baoshishan to watch the sunset and the panoramic night view of West Lake. It's very beautiful. You can go to the West Lake at night.

By Drunken Fox |

You can reach West Lake by strolling from Zhusu Garden. Anyway, I am not familiar with the route, so it’s fine as long as the general direction is correct. The main thing is to enjoy the scenery.

Walk through the stone corridor on the lake, and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the lake and mountains along the way, from far and near, wishing to take in all the beautiful scenery that can be captured.

As we walked, we arrived at "Quyuan Fenghe". There were more people here, all of them were tour groups led by tour guides. After all, it is one of the ten scenic spots of West Lake, and it is a check-in spot for tour groups.

There are many tombs along the way, including Yue's tomb, Wu Song's tomb, Su Xiaoxiao's tomb...

It’s definitely a good idea to walk along the edge of West Lake. You won’t get lost and you can also enjoy the scenery.

The water ripples, the boats row, the green willows and red peaches each show their charm.

The drizzle stopped sensibly, and I was able to put away my umbrella, making it easier to capture the beautiful scenes.
