Hefang Street is said to be the commercial district of the Southern Song Dynasty in history. In fact, after you go there, you will find that it has nothing to do with the Southern Song Dynasty, but it has a bit of the flavor of the Republic of China. Many friends have explained the introduction of Hefang Street, so I won’t say much. Let me talk about my feelings! In fact, it is a bit like a small ancient town, or it can be said to be a night market, selling some small gadgets and food, and the food is not very delicious. It is such a large area, and you can walk around and have a meal in 2-3 hours. There are a lot of people, so don’t expect to take many beautiful photos. In fact, it’s good to find a coffee shop here to sit down and drink a cup of coffee quietly and watch the tourists coming and going outside the window. If you want to play, it really has no characteristics. From architecture to commercial construction to humanities, it is quite average. Don’t expect too much. It is far inferior to the ancient towns or bustling night markets in many places.

In terms of transportation, it is just a few steps away from the subway line 2. If you go through the small alley, you can see scallion-wrapped cypress (should be called that) for 4 yuan a pair. When you are almost done eating, you can see Hefang Street.

Hefang Street is really lively. It was a weekend when I went there, and there were people coming and going, but it was not crowded, so it was still very good. For foodies, there are many foods here that can be tasted for free, and you can smell the smell of stinky tofu as soon as you enter the alley, as well as cotton candy, drinks, and candied haws. There are relatively few types of food, and the tea culture is relatively strong. There is also a brewed Longjing experience here, as well as portraits, paper-cuts, and clay figurines as souvenirs. The names of the surrounding shops are very literary, and the clothes are relatively expensive, but I personally think the price of silk scarves is very affordable, with a minimum of 10 yuan each.

I think it would be no problem to spend 3-4 hours strolling around. What’s special here is that there are free sightseeing spots in Hefang Street. The upper and lower floors are also very large and are filled with bronze artifacts (I haven’t read many books, so this is the only way to describe it).

The charm of Hefang Street and the lush greenery of Hangzhou in March are perfect for taking photos. Here you can also find the Cat's City in the Sky (there are really two kittens sleeping there). You can even see a play (free of charge) when you walk to the Drum Tower. Friends who come to Hangzhou can really come and experience it.

Hangzhou's most famous food street is located in the Hefang Street scenic area. You can directly reach the north gate from Wushan Square. Once you enter the scenic area, you will find that the number and variety of shops here are relatively dense in Hangzhou. From fashionable mechanical toys to old cultural relics and antiques, everything is included.

As I walked, I looked at the shops on both sides. There were also some temporary shops in the middle of the street. My eyes were not enough.

Hu Qing Yu Tang National Medicine Store, Hu Qing Yu Tang Famous Doctor's Clinic is the most eye-catching old store in the whole street. I looked at the ink characters on the white wall that were bigger than a person, and secretly regretted not making a plan for it. I just went into the yard to take a look, and didn't dare to ask for a consultation. But the smell of medicine that rushed into my nostrils told me that this is a family of traditional Chinese medicine. Of course, I stayed in the inn next to it, and the smell of traditional Chinese medicine from morning to night also came from this family.

Take a taxi to Hefang Street at the entrance of Chiang Ching-kuo's former residence opposite the Broken Bridge. Baidu: Hefang Street is located at the foot of Wushan Mountain. It is part of Qinghefang and belongs to the old city of Hangzhou. In the old days, the "four corners of Qinghefang" intersecting Zhongshan Middle Road were occupied by Kong Fengchun Powder Shop, Mi Dachang Dry Tobacco, Wanlong Ham Shop, and Zhang Yunsheng Hat Shop since the Republic of China, becoming a well-known area at that time. The famous "Five Hangs" (Hang powder, Hang scissors, Hang fans, Hang tobacco, and Hang lines) in Hangzhou came from here. There are many special snacks, antiques, calligraphy and paintings, and shops here. There are about 100 time-honored and Hangzhou-style shops. Hefang Street is a historical and cultural district in Hangzhou. The most influential ones on the street are Hu Xueyan's former residence and Zhu Bingren Bronze Sculpture Art Museum, which have become a highlight of this street. There are small stalls selling bamboo cups on the street. My grandmother likes them. She picked a few and the owner said that he could engrave words for free with an electric drill. He had just carved the bamboo, and I asked, can I do it myself? He said yes! So I went in and carved two cups myself, it was so much fun. Originally, no one cared about his stall, but when we did this, a large circle of people gathered around. Later, my aunt bought a Longjing tea flavored tea cake from Tong Xiaoman's handmade tea cake on this street as a souvenir, and the latter tasted good.

After leaving Wuliu Lane, we headed towards our second destination for the night: Hefang Street.

Hefang Street is not far from Wuliu Lane and you can get there by just walking.

Unlike the tranquility of Wuliu Lane, Hefang Street is brightly lit and bustling, and is definitely a paradise for foodies.

The Zhongyi Pavilion, Hu Qingyutang, Zhu Bingren Bronze Sculpture Art Museum, the Big Belly Maitreya Buddha and other attractions are all in the streets. You can stroll slowly. The whole Hefang Street is not too long, so you don’t have to worry about walking too long. Besides, you can stop at any time to eat and drink when you are tired~O(∩_∩)O~

Similar to Nanluoguxiang in Beijing, Zengcuo'an Commercial Street in Xiamen has various specialties and snacks. The only difference is the architectural style. This is the architectural style of the Song Dynasty. There are many places to take photos. I saw many ladies in Hanfu. I felt that it would take about an hour to walk around slowly. Including the Southern Song Imperial Street next to it, it took a total of 1.5 hours.

Hefang Street is one of the must-visit places in Hangzhou. We live on the Southern Song Imperial Street next to it, so we came to Hefang Street every night during the days in Hangzhou. Every night, the street is brightly lit and crowded. The main reason I like this street is that there are many delicious foods here. It is simply a paradise for foodies. In addition to food, there are also handicrafts, silhouettes, and portrait sketches that are relatively retro, as if returning to childhood.

By Wu Lingyao |

At the entrance of Hefang Street, there are several folk artists sitting together, playing instruments and singing, and the performance is Teresa Teng's "Sweet Honey". Passing tourists stop and appreciate the performance, and when they are interested, they will pay money to support the performance, or buy the CDs they recorded themselves.

Finding fun in life and living a happy life is the best life. On the streets of Hefang Street, there are some unique small shops, selling tea, vanishing cream, pottery Xun (a musical instrument that can be played), handmade seals (I may learn from the tutorial when I have time), and masks... I was dazzled by the sight. At night, I took a taxi back to the inn with my good memories of Hefang Street. The first day in Hangzhou was so smooth. I saw beautiful scenery and ate delicious food. I was really lucky!

It is unclear whether the picture is of Southern Song Imperial Street or Hefang Street. I still don't know how to distinguish these two streets. Southern Song Imperial Street has some characteristics at the entrance, and then I don't know where it merges with Hefang Street. It may be similar to Nanluo in Beijing, crisscrossing. I personally feel that there is nothing special about it. Except that the houses have some Jiangnan characteristics, the shops really don't attract me.

By Cai Cai does not eat carrots |

In fact, Hefang Street is only a part of the lively night market, and the street is very lively.

Snacks, local specialties, famous and unknown restaurants, every night market you can imagine is available here.

A small pastry shop in Hefang Street with an interesting name.

Wandering around the night market,

Take a walk to help digestion.

I feel sad that winter in the north doesn't give people this kind of experience.

Hefang Street is similar to the small commodity street or food street in every city. You don't have to worry about going hungry when you walk from one end to the other.

Before the trip, Congcong and I said to each other: "I am trying to lose weight recently, and I won't choose anything with more calories than an ice cream." But all our insistence was shattered when we encountered delicious food.

By Nini Xin |

I went to Hefang Street and Southern Song Imperial Street twice in Hangzhou. It was late on the first day and I couldn't take pictures, so I went there again in the daytime two days later. There are quite a lot of snacks and specialties here. I bought them by express delivery. There are still some buildings from the Republic of China period here, but unfortunately many of them have been demolished, so it seems a bit disjointed and lacks a bit of historical vicissitudes. It's not long and I finished it in a short time. It's still okay to take pictures.

2010.10.6 In the morning, I walked out of the hotel and went to Hefang Street to see this popular check-in spot; all of them are Ming and Qing Dynasty buildings, a tourist and cultural street with a strong sense of history;

Hefang Street is 1 km away from the West Lake. In the Southern Song Dynasty, it was lined with shops and merchants, and was once the root of the imperial city of Hangzhou. The famous "Five Hangs" in Hangzhou: "Hangzhou Scissors - Zhang Xiaoquan", "Hangzhou Powder - Kong Fengchun", "Hangzhou Fan - Wang Xingji", "Hangzhou Brocade - Du Jinsheng", and "Hangzhou Tobacco - Mi Dachang" are all located here.

More than 100 time-honored shops, antiques, calligraphy and paintings, restaurants and snacks make Hefang Street more lively today. Although it has been commercialized, the Ming and Qing style buildings on both sides of the street still allow people to feel the breath of history.

Dingsheng cake, Zhuangyuan cake, scallion-wrapped cypress, stinky tofu, Hangzhou Qibao and other special snacks are lined up to welcome all foodies to come and taste them.

Be sure to be careful of scammers when playing on this street❗❗❗ Although it is just an ordinary food festival, but in some stores selling specialty products, if there are some jewelry counters, you must be careful of scammers.

❗❗❗In 2019, during the National Day on October 2, my girlfriend and I went to the food street at night. In a specialty store where there were some West Lake lotus root powder and dragon beard candy crisps, there was also a jewelry counter in the store (when I went shopping later, I found that there were many such stores on this street). We bought more than 60 yuan of things, and then went to draw a lottery.

‼ ️‼ ️The salesgirl took out a basket of scratch cards and red strings. 🔴The meaning of the red string is to tell other stores on the street that this person has been cheated once and there is no need to cheat him again. 🔴‼ ️‼ ️Then I won the first prize, and was told that I could pick three pieces of jewelry at the counter, but only 10% of the labor fee would be charged.

💢💢My girlfriend and I were in our early 20s, and we were student-like. Plus, the clerk kept asking us questions, ⚠️⚠️ saying nice things like we were lucky. We didn't have time to think. ⚠️⚠️So I spent 500 to buy one as a gift for my mother. After paying, we got all the certificates and invoices for the jewelry, and then we left.

💢💢Later I changed my mind and felt that something was wrong and I had been cheated, so I went back. ⚠️⚠️I asked the clerk where your store is and whether you still have it, how to return the goods and so on.

🔴The man said that if there were any problems, he should call the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on the certificate. These words seemed to be reliable, but in fact, even the certificate was fake, not to mention the jewelry, which was a small commodity in Yiwu for more than ten yuan. 💢💢This is our painful experience of being cheated. Fortunately, we were only cheated of 500 yuan, which was considered tuition fee💢💢⚠️⚠️

Although Hefang Street does have a historical look from the outside, it is actually just a commercial street. The things you can buy are no different from those in modern pedestrian streets, it just looks slightly different.

Not far from here is the must-have food street in every city: Hefang Street. Enter from the Drum Tower and go to Jiaou Tiancheng to eat Longjing-flavored lotus root starch. There are many businesses along the way, including a Chinese medicine hall and a copper house. I also ate Dingsheng cake from Jiangshunfa.

Some people even say that Hefang Street is a paradise for foodies? ? ! Have you never seen the world? There is nothing good to eat. There are several restaurants that have opened three or four branches in Hefang Street, right? The food is too ordinary. I won’t say anything about Bai Lu Yuan, I can only say that it doesn’t suit my taste! Mr. Hippo’s seafood is still good!

It's similar to Nanjing Laomendong and Yangzhou Dongguan Street. I just got off the high-speed train in Hangzhou and went here for a walk. Although it was raining and snowing, my husband and I were still full of enthusiasm. The place is quite big, and there are many people selling snowflake crisp nougat. Hahaha, maybe I only have food in my eyes.

Tips: It is suitable to go at night, and you can also enjoy the night view. The West Lake is also close. It takes more than ten minutes to walk to the West Lake. There are many Longjing tea shops on Hefang Street, and they all stir-fry their own tea leaves.

The buildings have historical features, some are preserved and some are replicas. There are not many tourists on weekdays. There are shops along the street, specialties and other things, all of which are food. Some have cake tastings, which makes it very lively. The most famous one should be the National Medicine Hall. When you get close, you can smell the fragrance of medicine. It is very quiet. You can see a doctor and get medicine. There are also some health prescriptions that can be purchased. I ate Dingsheng cake at the street corner and checked in.

By An Pu Pu |

The recommended way to get around is to walk or ride a bike. In addition to the normal ofo, Mobike, hellobike, etc., electric motorcycles are more recommended. There are many parking spots (fixed-point returns) around West Lake and Hefang Street, which is quite convenient. It is not recommended to use electric motorcycles in other areas.

The suggestion for cycling is to walk from Hefang Street towards Shiwukui Lane, and then walk back to Southern Song Imperial Street. In Hefang Street and Southern Song Imperial Street, you can eat most of the special snacks, and several famous restaurant branches are also here. You can find all kinds of snacks such as Onion Buns, Pianerchuan, Maoerduo, Dingsheng Cake, etc. here.

There are all kinds of small shops in the streets and alleys. The most common ones are Hangzhou Silk and West Lake Longjing. There is one in almost every alley, which are very suitable to take back as souvenirs.

Hefang Street is an ancient street with a long history and profound cultural heritage. It was once the "root of the imperial city" of the ancient capital Hangzhou, and it was also the cultural center and economic and trade center of the Southern Song Dynasty.

As the only old street in Hangzhou that retains the historical features of the ancient city, Hefang Street embodies the most representative historical culture, commercial culture, market culture and architectural culture of Hangzhou, and thus it was spared from being completely demolished during the renovation of the old city of Hangzhou. In 1999, the Hangzhou Municipal Government decided to redevelop this 13.6-hectare street adjacent to the Wushan (Chenghuang Temple) Cultural Square into an antique-style commercial and tourist pedestrian street.

The orange-yellow tiles, the bluish-white walls, and the shiny archways make the Qinghefang Historical District at night more charming under the warm and cold light. People stopped to watch and exclaimed from time to time. The lighting was so exquisite that people wandered in the lines of the ancient buildings, as if they had returned to the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The lights of the entire block were lit according to the principle of "seeing the light but not the lights". The combination of ancient and modern techniques was used to customize "non-standard" lamps that were unified with the architecture. The color temperature of the lamps was also very particular, and different effects were adjusted. Late at night, the lights on Hefang Street outlined the outline of the customs of Hangzhou. Hefang Street is an ancient street with a long history and profound cultural heritage. It was once the "imperial city" of the ancient capital Hangzhou, and it was also the cultural center and economic and trade center of the Southern Song Dynasty. It is filled with a strong Han cultural atmosphere, and now many new shops have been opened after the renovation. Although this "restoring the old as it was" approach seems rigid and thin because it lacks the cultural heritage accumulated over time, those old houses with time-honored brands are still preserved and are worth a visit.

■Chinese medicine culture: Hu Qingyu Tang, Fang Huichun Tang, Baohe Tang, Ye Zhongde Tang

■Tea culture: Taiji Tea House, Yamato Tea House, Wenglongsheng Tea House

■ Antique paintings and calligraphy: Rongbaozhai, Yafengtang, Huabaozhai

■National crafts: Ouye swords, Xidebao, Wangxingji fan shop, Longquan celadon, Wuyue people, Zhang Xiaoquan

■Food culture: Kuiyuan Restaurant, Xileyuan, Zhuangyuan Noodle House, Jingyanggang Wine House, Wang Runxing

■Common people's entertainment: Xiaorehunli Gaotang, Hefang Street Post Office

■Old shops: Wanlong Ham Shop, Jingyang Restaurant, Jiuzhizhai

■Celebrity Residences: Hu Xueyan's Residence, Gan Qian's Hu Residence, Yu Dafu's Residence... There are many traditional snack stalls on the short Hefang Street, such as Dingsheng Cake, Onion-wrapped Cypress, Stinky Tofu, Oil-fried Cake, Pickled Duck, Sauce Pork, Steamed River Prawn with Salted Meat, Steamed Lake Crab with Salted Meat, Dragon's Beard Candy, etc. Hefang Street opened in October 2002. The rebuilt Hefang Street reflects the style of the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. It focuses on highlighting cultural values, creating a market culture with commerce, medicine, and architecture as the main body, maintaining its historical authenticity, cultural continuity, and integrity of style. At the same time, Hefang Street is designated as a pedestrian street. Hefang Street is currently one of the streets that best reflects the historical and cultural style of Hangzhou, and is also an organic part of the West Lake's application for World Historical and Cultural Heritage. Its restoration and transformation reproduces the historical context of Hangzhou and leaves a valuable historical and cultural heritage for Hangzhou.

This is a very unique street. You can find many century-old shops. If you are careful, you can spend 3 or 4 hours there. I went to buy Zhang Xiaoquan scissors. There are three shops on the same street. The real old brands are in the middle of the street, slightly remote, where there are the most varieties.

Hefang Street is similar to the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys in Fuzhou, just like a street in every city, famous and crowded with tourists, who use the name of the old street and the name of art to open Internet-famous shops selling grilled squid, stinky tofu, milk tea and cakes.

By Luo Meiyu |

It is very close to Hangzhou Station, the Hangzhou Historical and Cultural District, from which you can get a glimpse of the shadow of old Hangzhou. A shopping street with a bit of Hangzhou characteristics. The silk shop is very good. The cheongsam in the picture was bought here. The quality is also good. However, the characteristics are not distinct enough, and there is no place to sit until the intersection of Shizi Road. If you are serious about shopping, it is still a little tiring.

Hefang Street is the only relatively well-preserved old street in Hangzhou. It is located near Wushan Square and is mostly built during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It can be regarded as a microcosm of Hangzhou's history. I personally think that it is more charming to visit this street at night.

Hefang Street is similar to Shangxiajiu Street, but one difference is that every specialty store offers tastings. They cut each product into small pieces and put them on small plates for tourists to taste. I finally bought a beggar's chicken and brought it back to Guangzhou as a souvenir.

Hefang Street is a street that sells food. Of course, it also sells souvenirs and other specialties. It is very lively both during the day and at night. However, the food on Hefang Street is not cheap. A bowl of hot and sour rice noodles costs 25 yuan. There is a delicious sesame cake from a chain store called BBQ pork roll.

Hefang Street is a food street, a bit like Nanjing's Old Mendong. We found a restaurant on Hefang Street to have dinner, but it was a bit disappointing, probably because of the quality of the restaurant. There are also many souvenir shops on Hefang Street, so it's nice to bring some Hangzhou specialties back to give to relatives and friends.

In the past, when my friends came to Hangzhou to buy silk, they basically recommended Wanshili. I always felt that the purchase of silk products is very complicated, and I still recommended them to my friends, so quality control is very important. If the clerk is too enthusiastic in sales, I am afraid that he will be too polite. If it is located in a popular scenic area, I am afraid that the added value of the products will be too high. Therefore, just the right amount of sales and the right range of product recommendations are acceptable. On the contrary, I prefer the small and exquisite Jinsheng products. You can choose according to your personal style. The clerk's recommendations are also relatively pertinent, and the product quality is also acceptable. These small comments are for reference only.

Compared with the Qiaoxi Historic District, this place is very lively, but it also has its own cultural atmosphere. Various snacks, teahouses, antiques, calligraphy and paintings, etc., reflect the history and culture of Hangzhou while also having a sense of market culture. The night of Hefang Street is the most charming. Walking through Hefang Street to the vicinity of the Drum Tower, there are many barbecue night markets. If I hadn't eaten too much for dinner, I would really like to sit down and have fun until late at night~

One good thing about Hefang Street is that it is very clean, including the air. Because there are basically no snacks sold on the street, only drinks, it gives people a very comfortable feeling (at least you won't smell like barbecue or smoke when you go in and out). It is also very lively at night, but the cultural environment is good, thumbs up! If you want to eat, just go out of the main road, there are many restaurants.

Hefang Street is a food street with ancient architecture. I think so. Many snacks are available all over the country.

This one on Hefang Street is free to visit and has two floors. There is also a model of the Leifeng Pagoda that is much larger than the original.

I like these small streets and alleys very much. They are very charming.

There are shops in three directions on Hefang Street, one on the left, one on the right, and one in the middle, which just divides the flow of people into two directions. The shops in the middle are all run by talented people who can paint, make handicrafts, and use fire to melt glass to make objects, which are all unique skills of the locals. If you come to Hangzhou, like and support them, buy a piece so that they can continue to do their work for a longer time and continue to shine in this city.

I walked into a snack bar, which served a variety of snacks, starting from 10 yuan. I could eat whatever I liked. In short, each one was tempting and I wanted to try it. Such delicacies should not be wasted. I ordered my favorite stinky tofu, which came with a unique sauce. Every time I put it in my mouth, the sauce flowed out, which was my favorite taste.

When I went to Hefang Street in Hangzhou, I came across a small shop called Momo Coffee, which had great desserts. If I remember correctly, the shop was often run by a male boss, who was not tall and did not wear glasses. This shop was located on the street opposite the Huangfaner Restaurant and had a relatively small storefront.

Hefang Street is located at the foot of Wushan Mountain and is part of Qinghefang, which belongs to the old city of Hangzhou. In the old days, the "Four Corners of Qinghefang" intersecting with Zhongshan Middle Road were occupied by Kong Fengchun Powder Shop, Mi Dachang Tobacco Shop, Wanlong Ham Shop, and Zhang Yunsheng Hat Shop since the Republic of China, making it a well-known area at that time.

Hefang Street reflects the historical and cultural features of Hangzhou. The architectural style looks like that of the Qing Dynasty. Various specialty shops are scattered on both sides of the street, which is dazzling. I haven't eaten barbecue for many years. The grilled eggplant here is really delicious.

Almost every city has such a street with a historical atmosphere, which combines shopping, eating and playing, but the snacks are a matter of personal preference. Together with Wangfujing in Beijing, Muslim Street in Xi'an, Nanjing Road in Shanghai and Kuanzhai Alley in Chengdu, they are all distinctive local streets.

Hefang Street has the style of the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China, restoring its history. It is a government reconstruction project. The shops here are neatly arranged, and there is a trash can every 50 meters on the street, so even if it is crowded at ordinary times, the road still looks clean.

It's suitable for wandering around at night if you come here by bicycle. I think it's the same as other pedestrian streets in other places. Next to it is the Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street, so you can stroll there as well.

The Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street is connected to Hefang Street. Every city pays attention to tourism, so there is nothing special about the Imperial Street and Hefang Street in Hangzhou that attracts me. If there is a feature, it is the Chinese medicine stores hidden in them. Such a dense concentration of medicine stores is also a feature of Hangzhou.

Very good, it feels very similar to the Confucius Temple in Nanjing, with a lot of food and specialty shops.

Hefang Street, with its freshly washed bluestone pavement, adds a touch of ancient charm, and antique-style small buildings are lined up along the street.

There are also two big and domineering signs: Xiling Seal Society and Hu Qingyu Tang Chinese Medicine Store. The former is known as "the world's first famous society". The latter was founded by Hu Xueyan, a "red-topped businessman" in the late Qing Dynasty, and is the only dual-national treasure unit in the country.

This pharmacy is not very conspicuous at the end of Hefang Street, but the "character" in front of the door is the well-known Xu Xian. How could he make White Snake wait for him for thousands of years without regrets, and let the "water of West Lake" become her endless tears...

One thought can make you an immortal through cultivation, and another thought can lead to eternal damnation. People today sigh about this.

There are so many restaurants in Hefang Street, all of which claim to serve Hangzhou cuisine. I don't know which one to go to. Neither of us is good at this.

Suddenly, I saw a restaurant with an extraordinary "atmosphere" and an even more extraordinary name. I seemed to have seen an introduction to it online. I looked at the prices from the window first. They were comparable to those of the surrounding restaurants, but the environment and decoration were much better, so I went in without hesitation.

As luck would have it, I should have ordered the Qianlong Fish Head, which is the signature dish of Huangfaner. It turns out that Huangfaner is a local specialty known to every household in Hangzhou. It is a delicious dish made with fish head and tofu as the main ingredients, and minced ginger, bean paste and rice crust as the auxiliary ingredients.
