Lanting Scenic Area in Shaoxing is a refreshing calligraphy and cultural sanctuary. Being here, it is as if time has gone back and you are attending the Lanting Gathering with Wang Xizhi, which has been passed down through the ages. White geese are swimming leisurely by the Goose Pond, and the scent of ink still lingers between the stele pavilions. The charm of "Preface to the Lanting Collection" is light and elegant in every corner. The place where the wine cups flow by the winding stream not only reproduces the elegance of ancient literati, but also allows modern tourists to experience the detachment and leisure. With the cycle of the four seasons and the swaying shadows of bamboo, Lanting has become a must-visit place for exploring the cultural heritage of China with its unique charm.

If you are interested in calligraphy and the style of the Wei and Jin Dynasties, you must check in at the scenic spot. Putting aside the calligraphy part, the scenery of the park is also good, but it is a bit far from the city.

The scenic spot was originally quite good, with nice scenery, and it introduced a lot of the history of the Lanting Preface, as well as the copying of the background. Unfortunately, when I went there on May 1, the ticket price was too high.

Lanting Scenic Area is located on Lanzhu Mountain, 13 kilometers southwest of the ancient city of Shaoxing. Because of the scenic area policy during holidays, there are free shuttle buses for various scenic spots to turn around, so I don't feel tired. As I said before, a scenic spot must be a high degree of integration of nature and humanity to be famous in the world. Lanting also has a historical life because Wang Xizhi and others once gathered here and left a famous "Lanting Collection Preface". Lanting Scenic Area has Goose Pond Stele, Lanting Stele, Qushui Liushang, Imperial Stele Pavilion, Wang Youjiangjun Temple and other cultural landscapes. After visiting these cultural landscapes, I was feasted with my eyes. I was even more surprised by the scenery of Lanting River at this time. It is the time of Grain Rain, the most beautiful April in the world. Walking on the bank of Lanting River, wandering on the ancient road. A beautiful landscape picture of beautiful mountains and rivers, gurgling streams, fish swimming in the shallow bottom, stone bridges and stone dams appeared before my eyes. It makes people feel relaxed and happy, so happy!

Jiangnan Gardens. It’s a pity that there were too many people during the Spring Festival and there was no tour guide. I listened to a few sections and learned a lot!

Sitting on a cushion by the stream, thinking back to the past, it is so pleasant. We should really applaud the ancient people's tranquil and carefree attitude towards life, and their love for the mountains and rivers!

It is said that famous scholars of the Eastern Jin Dynasty held a "禊 ceremony" here, but now we can't see the scene of "all the wise men and women gathered together, young and old", nor are there "high mountains and steep cliffs, lush forests and tall bamboos" here, and the Qushui Liushang is probably not a relic of the original time.



However, there is a goose pavilion, clear and rapid streams, nice scenery, and calligraphy by Wang Xizhi, so it is still a good place to reminisce about the past.

In this quiet place, you can enjoy the pleasure of flowing wine cups in winding streams and the beauty of lush forests and bamboos. Even if you are illiterate, you can still feel the elegant music of Yu Gong, appreciate the calligraphy of famous calligraphers, and feel ashamed of your own handwriting. Unconsciously, you will also be infected by the cultural atmosphere.

Be careful in the summer, the scenery is beautiful, calligraphy lovers can take a look, and children can also be brought to participate in the activities, which is quite educational.

The scenery of Lanting is nice, including the memorial garden with various poems in the back. The scenic area is very large. When you enter the gate, you can see some famous attractions such as the Goose Pond, the stele pavilion and the Qushui Liushang. We bought tickets to participate in the Qushui Liushang performance experience. I personally think it is not worth it. The main reason is that the ceremony was too sloppy and the performance was quite mediocre. The costumes and appearance of the few young ladies participating in the performance were unremarkable. It was just a general idea. But the overall scenery is still good, and you can appreciate the calligraphy works left over from various periods.

The bamboo forest, white geese and egrets in the rain bring a unique charm to Lanting. The drizzle is as graceful as a girl by the water in the south of the Yangtze River.

It's strange that no one has written about the museum in Lanting. We took a bus there early in the morning. It's really far from Lu Xun's hometown, and I almost fell asleep on the bus (눈_눈).

Maybe there were not many people because we went there early, so the stone tablet and the goose were more interesting. I was impressed by the museum, which was very elegant and had the style of Wei and Jin Dynasties. It explained in great detail the past and present of Wang Xizhi's Lanting Preface, which is worth a visit.

The cultural and creative products in the museum are also great (*/∇＼*) [It was unexpected that there were so many cultural and creative products], and you can also exchange small gifts when you buy a single ticket! [I left tears of ignorance when I bought a combined ticket]

Located at the foot of Lanzhu Mountain, 25 li southwest of Shaoxing City, it is known as one of the three famous scenic spots in the suburbs of Shaoxing together with Yuling and East Lake. Wang Xizhi's famous calligraphy work "Lanting Preface" was written here, which is famous both at home and abroad.

I feel that Lanting is one of the less fun attractions among the many scenic spots in Shaoxing. I couldn’t listen to any explanations, so I couldn’t experience much culture, and the scenery was just average.

The only thing I yearn for in Lanting is the flowing wine and winding water. If you go in a group, you can experience it. It may be better to go when the lotus is in full bloom. It is a bit far from the city of Shaoxing. It took a long time to take the bus.

Lanting, the most famous scenic spot in Shaoxing, is so famous that almost every Chinese should know it. As the last stop of "Traveling in Shaoxing with Textbooks", it is most appropriate for it to make a grand appearance.

Lanting has now been built into a scenic spot in the style of Ming and Qing gardens. Standing in the Lanting Pavilion with lush bamboo forests and clear streams, I can more or less feel the joy of Wang Xizhi and his group of like-minded literary friends who traveled here without worrying about worldly affairs and just enjoying the scenery. How could such a cup of wine and a poem not inspire our calligraphy master to create the "Lanting Preface"?

Lanting, known as one of the "Four Famous Pavilions" in China, is indeed a picnic destination where one can get close to nature and have fun with the whole family.

The Lanting Scenic Area is centered on "Qushui Liushang" and is surrounded by major attractions such as the Goose Pond, Goose Pond Pavilion, Liushang Pavilion, Small Lanting, Imperial Stele Pavilion, Mohua Pavilion, and Youjun Temple.

This is my second time to visit Lanting. Compared with the past, there are more services at the entrance of the scenic spot and it is more standardized.

Coming to Lanting in spring, it is really like this "There are high mountains and steep cliffs, lush forests and bamboos; there are also clear and turbulent streams, which are reflected on both sides, and are used as flowing wine cups and winding waters, and people sit in the second place. Although there is no grand music of stringed instruments and pipes, a cup of wine and a poem are enough to express the deep feelings. Looking up at the vastness of the universe and looking down at the abundance of species, you can wander around and indulge your mind, which is enough to satisfy your visual and auditory entertainment. It is really fun." It is perfect to come here for a spring outing and picnic with family and friends and bring seasonal food and drinks~

Very bad! Very bad! Very bad! There are only two stone tablets, and the ticket price is 80 yuan. It's a rip-off. It's a blatant robbery. Most importantly, people with Shaoxing household registration don't need to pay for tickets. I want to ask if the Shaoxing Tourism Bureau has any opinions about outsiders, or if Shaoxing people have strong regional discrimination!

Exploring the ancient sites of the calligrapher Wang Xizhi, the changes of time, the marks left by the kings and literati of successive dynasties tell the story of Lanting...

This time I went to Lanting and happened to meet the primary and secondary school students on a spring outing. They were learning to paint on fans and drinking wine. Although it was noisy, they were also learning to inherit culture. Although Lanting is relatively small, the natural scenery is still good, with high mountains, lush forests, bamboos, clear streams and rocks. It is still very artistic to imagine the scene of scholars and writers of all ages gathering together in ancient times.

Most of the scenic spots in Shaoxing are close to each other, very close and convenient, but Lanting is far away from this circle.

When I rushed to Lanting from Shenyuan, there were not many tourists left.

After spending 80 yuan for a ticket to enter the scenic area, I felt it was much quieter than in Shen Garden, and I felt more comfortable.

Lanting, located at the foot of Lanzhu Mountain in Lanting Town, 14 kilometers southwest of Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province, is the garden residence of Wang Xizhi, a famous calligrapher and internal historian of Kuaiji in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. It is a garden of the Jin Dynasty. It is said that Gou Jian, the King of Yue, planted orchids here during the Spring and Autumn Period, and a post station was set up here during the Han Dynasty, hence the name Lanting.

There is a triangular pavilion in Lanting. On the stone tablet inside the pavilion are two large cursive characters "Echi". It is said that these two characters were written by Wang Xizhi.

There were indeed a few large white geese in this goose pond. It is said that geese can guard the house, so they must be quite powerful, so I didn't dare to provoke them too much.

After passing the "Goose Pond", you can see the famous stone pavilion with the words "Lanting" engraved on it.

The Imperial Stele Pavilion should be the most core and central attraction in the entire Lanting Scenic Area.

The strange thing is that the front is inscribed by the grandfather emperor, and the back is inscribed by the grandson emperor! So the value of this stele is really high!

After seeing the 18 jars of ink in the Linchi, I secretly sighed in my heart: Wang Xizhi is really a rich man! I have heard of using jars to learn calligraphy, and I can understand using up 18 jars of ink, but is it necessary to make 18 jars? Just use them one by one?

Judging from the appearance, this set is not cheap. Besides, I lost a lot of time, and there are only 11 sets in this pile, not 18 sets.

Originally, I had no interest in indoor exhibitions like those in museums. But when I saw a big “之” inside the main entrance from afar, I wanted to go in, take a photo and leave.

I didn't expect that when I entered the museum, the lighting effects were so beautiful that I couldn't help but tour it from beginning to end.

Lanting is the most relaxing, beautiful and comfortable place, which can make you intoxicated without any wine.

If you admire the elegance of Wei and Jin Dynasties and the story of Lanting, you must visit Lanting when you come to Shaoxing to see the big characters and some fat geese.

Lanting is a garden of the Jin Dynasty. Legend has it that Gou Jian, the King of Yue, planted orchids here in the late Spring and Autumn Period, hence the name Lanting. Wang Xizhi, a famous calligrapher of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, invited four close friends to drink wine by the river here, and each of them wrote poems. Wang Xizhi improvised "Lanting Preface", which has been passed down to later generations. The scenic area does have lush forests and bamboos, clear and turbulent streams, and is a good place to enjoy the scenery. There are calligraphy works by Wang Xizhi and his son, the eighteen jars of the pool where he educated his son, and the preface to the Lanting Collection written by Kangxi, which is also a good place for calligraphy lovers.

When you go to Lanting, you must see the Three Wonders Stele, and reserve some time to visit the Lanting Calligraphy Museum, which is great.

Revisiting Lanting 15 years later: The celebrities of Wei and Jin Dynasties have been elegant since ancient times. In late spring, they all gathered at Lanting, where lush bamboos grew in the forest and clear streams rushed. They drank wine from winding streams and recited poems. During the Qingming Festival, at the beginning of late spring, you can take the free shuttle bus from the entrance of Kuaiji Mountain to Lanting and see the garden residence of the calligrapher Wang Xizhi. Fantasia water flowing cups, drink wine and compose poems.

In the Imperial Stele Pavilion, there stands a huge "Imperial Stele" with the full text of "Preface to the Lanting Poems" engraved on it, which was written by Emperor Kangxi.

Lanting, Lanting, it sounds like a place of beauty. If you think of Wang Xizhi, then you must visit it. The legend of the wine cup flowing down the winding stream really makes me yearn for it. If I could drink and write poems with the ancients, or just see the scenery, then my life would be perfect.

It is so pleasant to walk on the Lanting Ancient Road! The flowing stream, the green mountains on both sides, and the pavilions across the river are so poetic and picturesque! The feelings of the ancients were nurtured in such an environment.

If you take bus 0003, please note that the buses run according to time periods, so please pay attention to the bus stop signs.

The Lanting Scenic Area is worth a visit. It has beautiful scenery and fresh air. It not only has calligraphy and paintings and porcelain, but also high-tech performances.

It is worth a visit for those who like calligraphy. The museum has collected copies of calligraphy from past dynasties. The scenic area is not crowded. The environment is very relaxing.

The ticket price is already 80 now, which I feel is not worth it.

I have to say it three times. If you go to Shaoxing, you must go to Lanting. If you go to Lanting, you must go around to the back to see this river. Anyway, the scenery is most beautiful in spring.

Considering that the former residence of Lu Xun and Shenyuan are the most crowded with tourists, we gave up.

The nearest Dayu Mausoleum is a good climbing experience, but due to the many stairs, my parents were tired and gave up.

Finally, I chose Lanting, which I had visited before and had a deep impression of.



The road from the hotel to Lanting is very easy to drive.

The parking lot is quite large, and many Shaoxing locals come here for picnics on weekends.

The scenic area facilities and tour routes have been renovated compared to previous years.

The 80 yuan ticket is not cheap.

If you think about it this way, great calligraphers are also quite cute.



The imperial stele in the stele pavilion is the treasure of Lanting.

The two characters "Lanting" on the stele were written by Emperor Kangxi, and the "Lanting Poems" on the back were written by Emperor Qianlong.

Although the signs of restoration are obvious, it still cannot hide its unique and extraordinary significance.



The overall density of tourists in Lanting is not high, which is very suitable for outing.

There is a Qushui Liushang experience event on Sunday.

I saw many children dressed in ancient costumes, sitting in front of Liushang Pavilion and imitating the ancients in reciting poems and eulogies.

Although form is the most important thing, it does have traditional cultural educational significance.



For calligraphy lovers, Lanting may be in a position that requires worship.

After the main sightseeing spots, there are also exhibitions of works by famous modern artists from various countries.

There is also a calligraphy museum near the exit.

Even if you are not a calligraphy enthusiast, Lanting is still a great place to enjoy the natural scenery.

The flowers are in full bloom in March and April, and the water is beautiful.



The official souvenir shop at the exit of Lanting is also a little fresh.

Full-price tickets can be exchanged for small gifts.

Standing by the river and watching the turbulent river water flowing all the way, you can seem to understand Wang Xizhi's feelings about the fleeting life.

It is a little far from the city center, about 14 kilometers away from Lu Xun's hometown. I went there in the morning, and there were not many people. Maybe it was winter, and the green plants were average. In addition, it was a smoggy day, so I quickly finished my visit and returned to the city center.

I saw a replica of it in the Huaxia Mingting Garden in Taoranting when I was very young, and this time I saw the original. It's not big inside, and it takes an hour to walk around.

It is said that there are performances of the literati writing in the Lanting at fixed times every day, which is worth a visit!

Yeah! The whole scenic area is not big, and you can walk through it in one or two hours, but for me who loves culture, I still spent a few hours there! The architecture of Lanting has a unique flavor and is worth appreciating! :)

I went there on the 3rd day of the 3rd lunar month, and there was a calligraphy festival, which was great. If I went there on other days, there wouldn't be much to see.

It is full of cultural atmosphere. It is definitely enough for you to visit it for a whole day, but unfortunately I only spent less than 2 hours.

There is nothing to see in Lanting. There are just a few big white geese in the Goose Pond. Apart from the wine flowing and the winding water, which can give us some understanding of ancient customs, there is really nothing else.

I went to Lanting specifically because I like Wang Xizhi's Preface to the Lanting Poems.

Wang Xizhi once drank wine by the winding stream, and also washed ink and sharpened his brush.

I like this scenic spot very much. It's nice to stroll around. But I really think the 30 yuan performance is not very good. If you like to drink, it's not bad to spend money to watch it, because there is wine to drink.

I really like this place, with its flowing water under small bridges, literary writings, and not many tourists. It is very quiet and leisurely, a place I like.

Lanting is the place where the Preface to the Lanting Poems was written.

To the east of Xiaolan Pavilion is the "Liushang Pavilion", which is the center of Lanting. In front of the pavilion, there are winding water and stacked stones, and green willows form a shade. It is a place for modern people to drink and chant and hold antique activities. To the north of Liushang Pavilion is the beautiful octagonal Imperial Stele Pavilion, built on a high stone platform. The imperial stele in the pavilion is 3 meters high and 1 meter wide. The front is engraved with the full text of "Lanting Collection Preface" copied by Kangxi, and the back is engraved with Emperor Qianlong's handwritten poem: "Lanting Ji Shi" in seven-character regulated verse. This is also a rare giant stele in the southeast region. Nearby is Linchi Shibagang, a participatory attraction in Lanting, consisting of Shibagang, Xiziping, and Taizi Stele. It is based on the legend that Wang Xizhi taught his son Wang Xianzhi to practice calligraphy and wrote 18 tanks of ink.

Although the current Lanting cannot restore its former splendor, the garden is spacious and the natural scenery is pleasing to the eye, with gurgling water and quiet green bamboos. It would be a pleasure to avoid the crowds and enjoy the mountain breeze and bamboo shadows.
