The water is bright and beautiful when the weather is fine, and the mountains are misty and strange when it rains. If I were to compare the West Lake to Xi Shi, she would look beautiful with light or heavy makeup.

Pedestrians take a rest at Fanghua Pavilion in Liulangwenying Park. A four-pillar, four-corner, single-eaved imitation wood structure pavilion was also built at the same time as the overall renovation of Liulangwenying Pavilion. The shape of Fanghua Pavilion is similar to most of the imitation wood pavilions built later in West Lake, and can be harmoniously integrated into West Lake and the surrounding scenery.

If I had taken the West Lake tour bus right away, I wouldn't have had to walk for so long before catching up with the electric car.

Walk along the shore of West Lake towards the east side, and you may pass by the ten scenic spots of West Lake along the way, including "Nanping Evening Bell", "Leifeng Sunset" and "Willow Waves and Singing Orioles"!

Orioles Singing in the Willow Waves, one of the top ten scenic spots in West Lake, is right next to the Liuyingli Hotel where we stayed. We happened to take a free yacht tour around the lake offered by the Liuyingli Hotel. The tour lasted for a whole morning and it was so comfortable!

The first place I visited when I arrived at West Lake was Orioles Singing in the Willows. It had great scenery and was free!

By Reason_37 |

At this time, there were very few tourists, and the paths in the park were so quiet that even the sound of needle-thin rain falling on the umbrella could be heard clearly. Both in terms of layout and aura, it was not as good as Xiziwan Park yesterday, so I took the pictures and left.

This poem "Waiting for Orioles to Sing in the Willow Waves" is a poem written by the Ming Dynasty poet Wan Dafu. Suddenly I found that the description of the ancients was very good~

Orioles Singing in the Willow Waves is a large park near Qingbo Gate, on the southeast shore of West Lake. It has a very high greening rate and is covered in lush green. It is particularly comfortable to go in and stroll around and enjoy the scenery in this season.

When you come to Orioles in the Willows, you must take a photo with the most iconic doorplate~

After the Beginning of Autumn, the weather is not so hot anymore, and it is quite pleasant to walk along the West Lake. There are also attractions such as the West Lake Museum and Qianwang Temple in Liulangwenying Park. Friends who are interested can visit them together.

It's a park, free! If you have enough time, I recommend going in and taking a walk!

Walk to the embankment and head towards the Lei Feng Tower, you can see the Lei Feng Tower!

I think it’s great to see the Lei Feng Tower on the embankment, and the best viewing point is at the Changqiao Bridge!

There are several restaurants near Liulangwenying on Nanshan Road. I recommend you to try the delicious food there.

As the name suggests, Orioles Singing in the Willows is a place to see willows. So, if you want to see pink peach blossoms and green willows, you don't have to go to Su Causeway. There are food and drinks in Orioles Singing in the Willows, and it is more leisurely. I also saw two old ladies bringing their own peanut wine to toast each other. The light and curling, the continuous silk, the spring breeze, the spring light. At this time, the new willows have not yet shed catkins, and are the lightest. After a few days, in the green waves, spring will also be old.

By Groundhog |

The willow shade is deep and misty, the jade pot is clear, the blue waves dance lightly in the sky. The orioles outside the forest are singing endlessly, where is the sheng playing on the painted boat?

After lunch, walk to Qingbo Gate on Nanshan Road and enter the "Willow Waves and Singing Orioles" scenic area, one of the ten scenic spots of West Lake. During the Southern Song Dynasty, this place was called "Jujing Garden", where Emperor Xiaozong took care of Emperor Gaozong.

By Pinellia |

The West Lake at that time really made people understand what it means to be in the misty Jiangnan region. The mist was vast, the distant mountains were dark blue, and the cold mist on the waves was green.

At Lingyin Station (the departure station), take the You 2 Line/Y2 Line towards Chengzhan Railway Station and get off at Qingbomen Station. The ticket price is 3 yuan per person. It takes about 400 meters to walk to Liulangwenying Park. My husband heard that the name of Liulangwenying Park came from the fact that there are many willow trees here and you can hear birds singing from time to time. Therefore, it is named Liulangwenying. My husband has to say that this name is still very poetic.

The park is divided into four scenic areas: Friendship, Wenying, Jujing and Nanyuan. The garden layout is cheerful, fresh, elegant and simple. The willow bushes are full of purple nanmu, cedar, magnolia, peach, crabapple, rose and other exotic trees and flowers. Looking out over the water, the view is broad and the air is fresh, which is refreshing.

By villon |

Hundreds of willows form rows, thousands of willows form a mist, among the slender willow branches, yellow orioles fly and sing in competition, forming a truly charming "Hearing Orioles in the Willow Waves".

By Golden |

It was Spring Festival when I went there, and the willow leaves hadn't grown out yet.

See the travel notes "Remembering Hangzhou - Beauty in the South of the Yangtze River" http://www.mafengwo.cn/i/6744236.html

Very good. And there are few large groups coming to this side of the West Lake, basically there are individual tourists, and there are relatively few tourists. And the best angle to view and photograph Leifeng Pagoda can be found when going towards the direction of Leifeng Pagoda from Liulangwenying.

By Watching the clouds roll in and out |

The familiar porch, the familiar avenue, but the unfamiliar willow waves in spring, with their tender green floating in the breeze, are so charming and elegant.

The clouds are light and the wind is gentle, and I walk as I please. I linger on this road for a long time...

"The color is light and slightly dewy, and the silk is light enough not to attract dust." In the fine breeze, it stretches its graceful figure, graceful and soft, dancing lightly.

In the past, there was just a pool of clear water, with fresh green reflecting the blue waves, so bright green, as blue as emerald.

This pool of clear water fully displays the beauty of spring, which is exactly "in February, when the grass is lush and the warblers are flying, and the willows on the bank are swaying in the spring smoke."

By In a hurry |

There are towering ancient trees, lush lawns, winding paths, and it is extremely quiet.

If you follow the southeast line of West Lake and circle the lake clockwise, you will soon arrive here.

I once had a meal in the private club in this park. You could really look out over the lake just by opening the door. It may have been closed later, and everyone knows the reason.

It was already dark when I came that time, so I couldn’t enjoy the scenery in the park properly. This time I have more time, so I will take a good look.

This is the imperial garden of the Zhao family in the Southern Song Dynasty. It has an extremely respected status and is ranked fifth among the ten scenic spots of the West Lake. These two honors alone are enough to show off how beautiful the scenery is.

It was late winter when we arrived, so we didn't see the flying orioles singing, but the exquisite architecture of the park, the majestic trunks of the trees, and the jagged rocks scattered among them all showed how brilliant spring is.

Sometimes I look at nature,

Feeling bad everywhere.

Sometimes I think about the world,

It adds a lot of troubles.

Located in the south of the east bank of West Lake, it faces Leifeng Pagoda across the lake. Exit the east gate of the park and you will see Hefang Street. Further east, there are many restaurants serving Hangzhou cuisine. Hangzhou Liulangwenying is a well-known natural scenic spot on the shore of West Lake in Hangzhou, where you can overlook Leifeng Pagoda!

整個西湖算比較寧靜的一區。如果像我喜歡寧靜討厭人潮的朋友,可以來此一逛。

By Flower's Daughter |

The trees and vegetation in Liulangwenying are very dense, and you won’t feel hot even in the hot summer. It is close to the Qianwang Temple Pier of West Lake.

By wayne |

In the Southern Song Dynasty, the location of the current Orioles Singing in the Willows was the largest imperial garden in the capital, called Jujing Garden. At that time, there were Huifang Hall, three halls, nine pavilions, as well as Liulang Bridge and Xueshi Bridge in the garden. In the Qing Dynasty, the old scenery was restored and it was named Liuzhou. During this period, yellow orioles flew and chirped, so it was called "Wenying Singing in the Willows". Now the original appearance of the imperial garden can no longer be seen, and only willow trees are everywhere, which is quiet and elegant.

Get off at Qingbo Gate and you'll see Orioles Singing in the Willows. The park has a nice environment. Follow the path on the left and you'll reach the West Lake, where you can see Leifeng Pagoda. Walk along the West Lake and take photos. After more than an hour, I passed by Qianwang Temple, but it was almost closed. Finally, I walked to Jiefang Road and chose Green Tea for dinner.

The most beautiful place in Hangzhou is probably the West Lake. It couldn’t be more beautiful. Just look at the pictures for yourself.

By .Cut down |

Orioles Singing in the Willows was such a pleasant surprise! I went there at around 5 o'clock. There were not too many people, not too few, very quiet, the birds were singing, sitting under the willow trees by the lake and feeling the breeze, I even recorded a KTV video, passers-by were stunned hahahaha.

The willow warblers in early May are so beautiful, what a green world!

Highly recommended: Orioles Singing in the Willows has a feeling of an outdoor paradise. Walking inside, you can hear the chirping of birds and the fragrance of flowers. It is very suitable for spring. So if you go to West Lake in spring, don’t miss Orioles Singing in the Willows.

Appreciation time: Spring. Early morning, morning, early morning is the best time to appreciate the willow waves and orioles. At this time, there are fewer people, no noise, and the light is good. It is not recommended to go in the afternoon, especially in the evening, because the evening is easy to dye the scenery yellow, which cannot highlight the green of the willow trees.

Appreciation location: Liulangwenying Park~

Big park, suitable for leisure travel. Many people walk around West Lake. Nice place and good scenery. The water is a bit dirty

By Travel Cultural Heritage |

It's just planting some more willow trees on both sides of the lake embankment and carving a new stele. There's nothing special about it.

By Monotonically decreasing |

Since it is still winter, the willow trees are all dry and dormant, but it does not affect other scenery. The autumn wind is howling and the fog is vast. The West Lake has a different style. The wind is particularly strong. You can see the looming Leifeng Pagoda in the distance by the lake. It is surrounded by clouds and mist, so beautiful. The ten scenic spots of the West Lake are basically distributed around the West Lake. Each one is a large park, divided into this part close to the West Lake and another part slightly away from the lake. And you can walk out of the scenic spot in two steps and come to the border that is seamlessly connected to the urban traffic. Take a step forward and enter the urban area of Hangzhou, and take a step back and enter the West Lake Scenic Area. The two extend and blend with each other. There are many squirrels along the way. I have never seen squirrels so close. Some people are feeding nuts. They are used to it and are not afraid of people.

One of the ten scenic spots of West Lake in Hangzhou, it is the most breath of spring in early April every year when the willow trees grow green buds.

By C girl |

The mountains are misty and the rain is strange. I want to compare West Lake to Xi Shi. I went there on a rainy morning. The air was fresh and the willow waves and the orioles were like a piece of gauze.

By doudousha |

There are too many people during the day, so it is more beautiful at night. All the lights in the West Lake attractions will be turned on. Walking on the small path and feeling the night breeze is very comfortable!

By doudousha |

I have been to Liulangwenying both during the day and at night. I personally recommend going at night. At night, when all the lights are turned on, you can see the Leifeng Pagoda in the distance. It is super beautiful! !

By 劉妍麟 |

Although it is winter now, there are no willow trees or orioles, but the scenery is still beautiful. Maybe it is because it is morning, there are not many tourists, but many local elderly people are exercising, which makes this place more intimate. Sitting on the boat and looking at Leifeng Pagoda from a distance, I feel "the broken pagoda is on the lakeside, and a drunkard is decadent."

Among the ten scenic spots of West Lake, my favorite is Orioles Singing in the Willow Waves. Although it is not the right season, I have seen its charm.

By Lishen |

I stayed in Hangzhou for two days. The West Lake in the daytime is very different from the West Lake at night. It was the hottest time when I went there. There were a lot of people during the day. The sun was very strong and hot. So I took a battery car to walk around and then went back. I came to the West Lake in the evening and entered from the Orioles Singing in the Willows. It was very beautiful. The West Lake at night is especially beautiful. I recommend everyone to go in the evening to watch the sunset. Take a walk until it is completely dark. It is very comfortable with the wind blowing! ! ! ! ! Oh, you must bring mosquito repellent, there are a lot of mosquitoes at night!

The willows along the way are still green, with long willow branches hanging down from the tall trunks, dancing in the wind, which is very graceful and charming. Various flowers are blooming on the roadside, which is pleasing to the eye. When you reach the lakeside embankment, the special willow trees such as weeping willows, lion willows, drunken willows, and sand washing willows form a vivid picture with rich layers of scenery with the lake and mountains.

The biggest impression that Orioles Singing in the Willows gives people is the large number of willow trees, which seem to remain unchanged all year round, especially in midsummer, when it is all green, it is really a willow wave.

By Ideal country |

We walked along the West Lake all the way. There were more green plants in this direction. It was amazing that although it was only two or three minutes’ walk from the road, it was a completely different experience, peaceful and tranquil, as if you were outdoors.

By Guilty |

An attraction I came across by chance on Nanshan Road. There are some cafes and restaurants along the way. It is very romantic. There are also cruise ships to take. This attraction is worth a visit.

By |

In fact, the scenery of West Lake, as long as there are not many people, no matter which scenic spot you go to, you can give you a sense of tranquility, which you can't experience when there are many people. It is still worth recommending that the public services are generally good, but when there are many people, you need to wait in line when going to the bathroom.

By Sister Le |

The afternoon sun shone on the West Lake, it was so beautiful. We were so unlucky that it rained for a day and a half when we went to Hangzhou. The weather got better when we were about to leave, but we didn't see the sunset either. It was a pity.

By ALC |

I was quite surprised when I walked in. I went there at noon. Maybe it was because of the strong sun, not many people were there, and the wind was blowing like willow waves...

By Kaneko |

The wind blows the willows, the birds jump and hop, it is very joyful

By Red Guard Wuhan |

It has a long history, rich culture and charming scenery.

By Zhong Yuchao |

It is actually a large park full of willow trees beside the West Lake! It is very suitable for walking, and the willow trees on both sides are very beautiful when they flutter in the wind. And in summer, it is definitely a good place to escape the heat. There is also a section of the road along the West Lake, where you can watch the sunset over the West Lake in the evening.

The best view of Orioles Singing in the Willows is in early spring in March, but you can still take a quiet stroll here in July and enjoy the beautiful time. It's a pity that it is the peak tourist season, and it is inevitable that the crowds will disturb this tranquility.

If you are a tourist arriving in Hangzhou from the train station or bus station, Orioles Singing in the Willows may be your first stop to experience West Lake - because it is close and Orioles Singing in the Willows is very large, there are not many tourists. You can see Baidi Bridge and Baoshishan from a distance. It is a good place to view West Lake.

This is where I first saw the West Lake. The willows are waving and the birds are singing. You can forget about hearing the birds singing at this time, but the weeping willows are still there. The willows here are much thicker than those on the Bai Causeway. The willow leaves flutter in the breeze. Look at the Leifeng Pagoda and Su Causeway in the distance, and the West Lake is right in front of you.

By the way, this is also what I think is the best place to watch the sunset over West Lake.

Walking north along the Willow Waves and Singing Orioles, you will reach what Hangzhou people call Lakeside, a major commercial district in Hangzhou. Further north is West Lake N Park, which is also the best place to overlook Baidi and Baoshishan, and watch the sunset.

I walked from the Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street to Wushan Square, and then from Wushan Square to the Orioles Singing in the Willows. There are many willow trees along the coast, many elderly people are taking a walk, and some young couples are taking wedding photos...

As we were walking, we saw Leifeng Pagoda. We couldn't walk along the lake anymore, so we turned to the main road. The main road was under construction, so it was quite dusty and not very convenient.
