Qin Palace

横店影视城-秦王宫景区

The Qin Palace was built for Chen Kaige's historical epic "The Emperor and the Assassin", and was based on the most important palace of the Qin Dynasty - the Xianyang Palace.
The layout of the entire palace is strictly symmetrical along the central axis, with the ancestral temple on the left and the altar on the right, and the court in front and the bedroom in the back. Inside the palace, you can see the throne and various realistic bronze artifacts.
The most important attraction in the scenic area is the Sihai Guiyi Hall, which is divided into the front hall, the middle hall and the back hall. It is more than 120 meters deep and is where the King of Qin held court and governed the country.
The cradle of many blockbuster movies and historical dramas. Nearly 100 blockbuster movies such as "Hero", "A Step into the Past", and "Beauty's Rival in Palace" were filmed here.

There are so many people on weekends, and many tour buses arrive at around 8 o'clock. The Qin Palace is very large and magnificent. If the weather is good and there are fewer people, it would be quite beautiful to take pictures in a set of ancient costumes.

Dragon Emperor's Arrival is a 7-minute 4D story. You have to wear 3D glasses to feel the rotation and jumping in the car. People who are carsick can only close their eyes. Haha. I would like to remind you that the elderly, people with carsickness and some diseases are not suitable for participation, but I am a young person who escapes at the last minute.

The underground imperial city imitated a small terracotta warrior, but to get out, you have to walk several S-shaped steps in the long sales booths. I was really drunk. This hard selling made me want to curse... bad review! The same is true for the exit

There were performances at the Qin Palace. There was a sign at the entrance indicating the time and location. We watched 4 performances and walked along many long paths that appeared in the plays.

Lao Li likes the Qin Palace the most and has always wanted to rent a Mi Yue costume for me. I asked several rental companies, but they all said that I couldn’t wear it outside and could only take photos indoors. Because of the weather, the clothes were too long and dragged on the ground, which was too inconvenient to get dirty, so I couldn’t rent an ancient costume. In the Qin Palace, wearing a Qin and Han costume really feels great.

As two people from Shaanxi, we should be familiar with the architectural style here, but we are still shocked by the majestic buildings. No wonder so many directors choose to shoot here. It is really difficult to find such a concentrated and magnificent Han Dynasty building complex elsewhere. The buildings of the Qin Palace are scattered and well-arranged, and you can feel the beautiful picture from any angle.

By 😀😀😀 |

It was my first time to experience Qin-style architecture. Although it was not a genuine piece, its grandeur was awe-inspiring and even more impressive than that of the Forbidden City. The gently wide double eaves and the wonderful towers were inherited from the Sui and Tang dynasties and reached their peak.

The 4D video show is also good.

There are too many tourists, the queue time is too long, and the participation is weak

By Dry Skiing |

The Qin Palace is a large scenic area where you can rent electric cars to get around. The square is spacious and the palace is majestic. There are performances to enjoy.

By Emily |

It is very big and magnificent, and it feels like entering the real Qin Palace.

By Cat Star-Sakura |

The building is very grand and there are performances in the scenic area. Because there are too many people during the Dragon Boat Festival, I didn't queue up. It is a good choice to bring your own ancient costume to take pictures.

By China-TravelNote users |

I went there on 4.28, which was a pity as I didn't see any celebrities. There were celebrities going there on 5.1. It would have been nice if I could check online what time and which celebrities were going there.

By Sunset Yellow Sand |

Overall, not worth the ticket price, too few attractions to see

By Shanshan |

The filming location of A Step into the Past. Whenever you go to a place, you will think about the plot in the TV series.

The restaurant at the entrance is too expensive. Yangzhou fried rice costs 30 yuan, and there is not even shredded egg. The water is also expensive. It is not as cheap as the water in the underground mall inside the tourist attraction.

By Maggie |

It is so majestic and imposing. No wonder so many blockbusters are shot here... Whether it is the main hall or the small corridor, you will feel like you are traveling through time, and taking photos is superb.

By Xiaoxi |

I personally think the tickets are expensive, but overall it's ok. I've seen it on TV, but I just came to experience it. After all, Hengdian is so famous.

By Cube Bear |

I forgot to take the guide map for the Qin Palace, but I had made a travel guide in advance, and the Qin Palace is basically symmetrical in design, so it was OK based on my impression.

Because we arrived at the Qin Palace in the afternoon, we missed the "Qin King Welcoming Guests" show. At 1 pm, there was a "Heroic Sword Contest" in the East Side Hall, but when we arrived, we found that the venue had been closed, so we had to follow the instructions in the scenic area and continue the tour.

Terrible road signs. Or rather, terrible route design. After passing through the underground imperial city, there is a large shopping area designed like a maze. I doubt that if there is a fire, people will not be able to escape.

I planned to watch the 2 o'clock show of "Dream of Qin and Han", but after I came out of the maze-like shopping area, it was not even 1:30, but there was already a long line at the entrance of "Dream of Qin and Han", so long that I doubted whether I could get in at 2 o'clock. When I was halfway through the line, I confirmed with the security guard, and he said that as long as I got in line, I could see the 2 o'clock show.

After entering, I found that the theater was not round this time, but long. The performance used projection + live performance. The story and plot were average. Compared with the performances I had seen before, this one was not so amazing.

The duration of "Dream of Qin and Han" was about 20 minutes. After it ended, we returned to the "Heroes' Sword Fighting" venue. In order to avoid the embarrassment of not being able to enter due to the crowds, we arrived earlier this time and also occupied a favorable position. This performance was quite exciting, a real sword fight.

After the "Heroic Sword Fight" ended, I walked around the main part again, and when I felt that it was about time, I suddenly found an advertisement of "One Beats Ten". I felt that I had not been to that part yet, so I went to see what it was, and found out that it was "The Dragon Emperor's Striking Arrival". When I was reading the guide before, I clearly saw that "people weighing more than 80 kilograms are not allowed to play this project", and I have also experienced this kind of viewing experience in Ledo Port in Beijing, so I did not plan this project when I was doing my homework. Now I have arrived at the entrance of the project, and I didn't see the reminder of the weight limit of 80 kilograms, and there are not many people in the queue, so I experienced "The Dragon Emperor's Striking Arrival" again without planning.

After coming out of "The Dragon Emperor's Arrival", we started to walk outside. There were some small projects on the west side of the front square in the scenic area. As a result, this became the place where we spent the most time, with various photo shoots.

The Qin Palace Filming Base is the place where most blockbuster films were born in Hengdian. The architecture with strong Qin and Han style makes people feel the grandeur of that era while strolling in the square. This is the filming location of "The Emperor and the Assassin" directed by Chen Kaige and "Hero" directed by Zhang Yimou.

Shows performed every day: large-scale multimedia fantasy situation drama - Dreaming of the Qin and Han Dynasties, and film and television stunt reality show - Heroes Fighting with Swords.

The interactive experience project, the large-scale 4D movie show - Dragon Emperor's Striking, is similar to the Transformers I experienced at Universal Studios Singapore, but it has a Chinese theme. I highly recommend it!

By Jessica |

The Qin Palace is the filming base for many film and television works and is worth a visit. Among them, the 4D experience project of "The Dragon Emperor's Arrival" is especially recommended.

By Cat at the intersection |

For young men and women whose travel purpose is to travel, this place is the best choice

By wj travel |

I went there for the fame of Hengdian, but was disappointed. The tickets are not cheap. I thought it was big, but it is actually a small place. If you visit it all at once, it will take at most an hour. There are scenes that are common in some TV dramas, but as a tourist attraction, it is really not interesting. There are several performances inside, and there are a lot of people waiting. The only consolation is that there are large fans indoors, at least it is not too hot. And the food here is very expensive. If you want to go there, you can bring your own water and some snacks.

By Jessica |

The Qin Palace is the largest of all the scenic spots in Hengdian World Studios. The whole scenic spot can be described as magnificent. It was drizzling when we came to the Qin Palace. The whole scenic spot was covered by dark clouds. There was music playing in the scenic spot, which really gave us a feeling of traveling through time. Looking down from the highest point of the Qin Palace, we felt like we were looking at the mountains and rivers.

By h lin |

When I walked into the scenic area, I suddenly felt very familiar. The feeling of seeing the scenes I saw on TV in person was really different.

The scenic area is divided into a filming area for film crews and a tourist area. Film crews are not allowed to enter the area for filming.

By qwe123 |

The Qin Palace is generally average. The antique buildings always make you lack a sense of historical vicissitudes. The scenic area has too strong commercial atmosphere, the ticket price is too expensive, the cost performance is very low, and the water inside is super expensive. In a word, it is very average.

By -Phenolphthalein Red- |

Looking at the Qin Palace from Han Street, it is very magnificent and majestic.

By Walter Jin |

Although it is a replica, it is still quite impressive. You can spend an entire afternoon browsing it carefully. The most interesting thing in my impression is a 3D simulation program inside. The audience sits in a carriage and gallops along with the screen. I believe that the pictures will get better and better in the future. There is also a Qin Dynasty song and dance program. I really want to go in, but there are too many people queuing.

By Whale Fall |

The Qin Palace is quite large overall. Walking to the square, the four large pillars in Chinese Paladin 3 stand alone, not as majestic as in the TV series. The main hall is at the front, and there are side doors beside it. You can go to the main hall first.

If you are too lazy to walk, you can rent a covered bicycle for 150 a day, which can seat 3 people. I was lucky to have two handsome guys pedaling hard, and I could take all kinds of beautiful photos.

By Girl Ranpo |

The so-called "wall-walking" experience is to be suspended on a wire in front of a tall city wall and soar into the air. I wanted to be like the heroines in movies and TV dramas, floating or walking in the air with heroic spirit, but... after rising into the air, my body was completely out of control, and it was difficult to even keep my balance, let alone do all kinds of cool moves. It was so embarrassing.

By The lazy girl who loves traveling |

It's really big inside, with many halls. There are chairs inside for taking pictures, but you need to rent clothes. If you don't rent, you will be charged extra for sitting on them to take pictures.

By Ye Zhou |

The photo-taking routine is full of tricks, and many uncles will fall for it. When taking the photo, bargain together. The rental of clothing, headwear and photos is all included, 150 yuan.

otherwise

1. Costume rental: 200 per person.

2. After you put on the costumes, they will tell you to make a headdress, which costs 200 yuan per person.

3. After taking photos, it costs 10 yuan per photo to develop and package them.

The whole process of washing, blowing and cutting costs 460 per person.

By Wang Xiaoni |

The Qin Palace is really spacious and worth visiting. You must put it at the first place among several scenic spots. Because it is very tight to visit three scenic spots and a dream city in one day, you must put the most interesting Qin Palace at the first place. The scene here is very magnificent and suitable for taking pictures. It is best to come here in groups. In addition, the water and food here are still relatively expensive. Well, an ice cream costs ten yuan, and water is more than ten to twenty yuan, so you must bring drinks and food. It is recommended.

By Water flowing and clouds in |

Hengdian is very suitable for photo shoots and short films. If you just go there for tourism, you may not be able to experience it! I went there to take photos. By the way, I recommend the following Lisa's costume photos. They are really good, but a bit expensive.

By Xiao Dong |

I went there during the National Day holiday in 2017. First of all, I have to say that the ticket prices for these artificial attractions in Hengdian are really expensive. I heard that the Hong Kong Pavilion is very shabby, so I didn't buy a package ticket. The ticket for a single attraction is 180 yuan, which is not worth the price! It is quite convenient to drive by yourself, and there are many parking lots. There are also many high-end, medium-end and low-end restaurants around. There are open-air performances at fixed times, and you can watch them if you are lucky. There are very few things to see in the attractions. There are imitation terracotta warriors in the basement of the Four Seas Return Hall, but it is a rip-off. 80% of the area is for selling local specialties.

By Bugs |

In fact, the area is not very large, but the scene is very unique. You must arrange time to watch the performance. It takes several hours just to watch the performance.

By Big Dream |

It's worth going to, but the queues are long. Also, if you can spend more money to watch a show, you must spend it instead of waiting in line, otherwise it's really a waste of time.

By Agate Hometown |

To the right of the Qin Palace is the Dream Valley Scenic Area, and in front of it is the Qingming Shanghe Tu Scenic Area. You can take a one-yuan circular sightseeing bus to get there (only one stop), or you can walk there. Many reviews and travel notes have mentioned the attractions of the Qin Palace. I will only talk about some of the more pitfalls that others have not mentioned. When you are visiting the underground imperial city and just approaching the supermarket, if you are not shopping, return to the East Watch Tower by the original route, go down the steps in front of the East Watch Tower to the West Side Hall, and then watch the heroes duel in the West Watch Tower. Otherwise, the S-shaped maze in the supermarket will kill you, at least 20 minutes, which is more time than if you return by the original route, and it will also affect your mood.

By Xia Ling-JOYCE |

It is indeed very large and spectacular. Standing in the main hall, there is a majestic aura, and it feels like the temperature difference between inside and outside is much higher.

By Regular customer |

People who have been to Hengdian say, "If you don't visit the Qin Palace, you've come to Hengdian Film and Television City in vain." The Qin Palace can be said to be the most magnificent and majestic scenic spot in the entire Hengdian Film and Television City. It was first built in 1997 for Chen Kaige to shoot the historical blockbuster "The Emperor and the Assassin". Later, Zhang Yimou shot the blockbuster "Hero" and many historical dramas of the Han, Tang and Three Kingdoms. Standing in the square, people really feel insignificant. The ancient emperors really spared no effort to highlight themselves! If you go at a good time, you can also see performances.

By Power Circle |

There was a Hanfu conference going on that day, so there were a lot of people, many of them dressed in costumes from different periods. The whole building looked very grand. If you want to walk around every place, it will probably take a whole morning. There are also performances to watch, but the performance time is relatively short. Every time I waited for the opening time, I spent more time watching. Overall, the experience was still okay.

By Proud Eagle |

The Qin Palace is magnificent and majestic, the 4D game of "The Return of the Dragon Emperor" is exciting, and the theater fighting scenes are good.

By Rain and wind |

In fact, I came to Hengdian this time just for the Qin Palace. I had long wanted to experience the majesty and grandeur of the Qin Palace. I was not disappointed, especially the weather was great, which was exactly what I had imagined.

By Shaohua |

It's quite magnificent. There is one place I didn't take a picture of. I'll go there again if I have a chance.

By Warm autumn |

The 4D movie is good, the other performances are average, the park is small, I think it is not as good as Guangzhou Hong Kong Street and Qingming Shanghe Tu

By Yang Chenfu |

The first stop in Hengdian is the Qin Palace. Standing on the tower, I feel like I am the only one in the world. This is my kingdom.

By F Woof Woof |

The buildings are quite distinctive, and you can see people filming everywhere.

By Sarah |

I arrived just in time for the show. Standing there, I felt like a king, with all my subjects below me.

Wherever there is a crane, that's where the crew is setting up the scene.

By Han Yu 79 |

The Qin Palace scenic area in Hengdian World Studios was built in 1997 for the famous director Chen Kaige to shoot the historical blockbuster "The Emperor and the Assassin". But the most impressive thing for me is that Chen Baoguo's version of Emperor Wu of Han was shot here. It's a bit hot to go there in May.

By LIU is not smart |

The Qin Palace looks very grand and the scenery is very grand. We watched Heroes Fighting Swords, Dreaming of Qin and Han, and The Dragon Emperor's Surprise. The better ones were Heroes Fighting Swords, which felt like a martial arts movie with wires, and The Dragon Emperor's Surprise, which was like a 3D special effects roller coaster. The Legend of Miyue was also filmed here.

By ? |

It's really not pleasant to take pictures of ancient costumes there. Ordinary clothes cost 100 yuan, take 3 pictures, and 200 yuan for nice ones, but! It's endless! Rong Mama's headgear costs 100 yuan, the one with big flowers costs 200 yuan, and the slightly nicer ones cost 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, and 800 yuan. This means that taking 3 pictures with a nice headgear will cost 300-1000 yuan. Is this a robbery? If you don't want to take pictures, they will have a bad attitude and ignore you. They keep fooling you, which is really unbearable. However, taking pictures in other scenic spots is only 50 yuan, including the headgear. It's really unpleasant. Although I was cheated out of 130 yuan, it was still a very unpleasant experience. It costs 10 yuan per picture to pass the plastic

By ty34 |

It's a purely man-made landscape, and it's really ordinary. It can only be used for filming movies.

By 【Chida】0768 |

It took less than 2 hours to finish the game. Maybe we walked too fast. Everything was good. For taking pictures, it doesn't matter whether it is exposed or not. But the fried rice noodles inside were a bit unpalatable.

By Snow Lotus Seed Green |

I had heard of its fame, but seeing it in person is better than hearing about it. I finally got my wish and appreciated this magnificent building.

By Kathy Lee |

Most dramas from the Qin Dynasty were filmed here; The Legend of Miyue was filmed here.

However, the Qin Palace is divided into two areas, one of which is not open to visitors because it is used for filming. However, the overall feeling is still magnificent, and I will feel familiar when watching TV series in the future.

By Rainbow Lotus Dance |

Overall it's pretty good. It's a weekend, so there are a lot of people. Try not to come on holidays. Many crews are filming, but the location is closed, so you can't see anything.

By Find a better self |

It is worth a visit. There are many scenes from TV dramas. Even on rainy days, many tourists come to play. Buy it online for 155 yuan.

By amyno0911 |

The Qin Palace is very majestic. It was the off-season when I went there, so there were not too many people and it was very pleasant to visit.

By NI1876458 |

There are several shows and the building is magnificent. It is a must-see in Hengdian.

By Roy |

Hengdian Film and Television City is located in Hengdian Town, Dongyang, Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province, about 2.5 hours from Hangzhou. Hengdian Film and Television City is not a tourist attraction, but a collection of many attractions, including Guangzhou Street·Hong Kong Street, Ming and Qing Palaces, Qin Palace, Qingming Riverside Scene, Huaxia Cultural Park, Ming and Qing Folk Houses Expo City, Dream Valley, Pingyan Cave Mansion, Dazhi Zen Temple, Red Army Long March Expo City, Yuanming New Garden, etc.

It's a very interesting place. I saw many scenes that are common in TV and movies. The architecture is still very imposing. The Qin Palace is very popular. It is also worth a visit. There was a crew filming on the day I went there. The tour guide said that the male lead was Huo Jianhua. It's a pity that I couldn't see him. What a male god~~

By penny |

The architecture in the Qin Palace is beautiful and magnificent. I hope it can be expanded.

By BB loves to cry |

The other random buildings that you must visit when the Dragon Emperor comes are quite grand.

By haha |

The Palace of the King of Qin was built according to the style of the palaces of the Qin Dynasty. It is said that it was built for the filming of "The Emperor and the Assassin". Later, many excellent movies and TV series were filmed here, including "A Step into the Past", "The Emperor of Han Wu", "The Legend of Wu Mei Niang", "The Legend of Mi Yue" and my favorite "Nirvana in Fire".

The filming locations of "Nirvana in Fire" in the Qin Palace include:

The place where Brother Su met Tingsheng by chance was at the junction of the main hall and the east and west halls of the Qin Palace.

By Singing with great care |

I've never written a review before, but I have to write this one. It's dirty, messy, and crowded. There's really nothing worth seeing once you enter the deep palace walls. There's a street full of rubbish snacks, and people are selling things and taking photos everywhere. I just want to say how to review a 5A scenic spot.

By cindy |

The Qin Palace is majestic and magnificent. Standing at the top of the 999 steps, one has a sense of majestic momentum as if one is the only one in the world.

By yangeffy |

The Qin Palace is probably my favorite among the three attractions. First, it is really worth seeing, after all, there are basically few Qin and Han Dynasty buildings left now; second, it is indeed magnificent from an architectural perspective, and there are many things to see; on the other hand, here, I can finally feel the stars! For example, Huang Xuan from "Legend of Miyue"!

By Sisi CHEN |

The momentum is very grand. As a viewer of Langya Bang, I feel that there are Langya Bang shots everywhere. The Dragon Emperor's arrival is really good and the effect is very realistic.

By Wandering Time |

Needless to say, the Qin Palace recreates the appearance of the Qin Dynasty. Most of the movies and TV series related to the Qin Dynasty were filmed here, so this "palace" has handled hundreds of works. The most impressive thing about our dormitory is "A Step into the Past".

By Back |

If you go to the Ming and Qing Palaces, this place is somewhat similar. It's okay to watch the performances.

By Quiet Wind Feather |

The King of Qin swept across the world, looking so majestic! He waved his sword to cut through the clouds, and all the princes came to the west.

By Shinsukeemon doesn't have a sword |

The Qin Palace is really realistic when I first saw it, with tall walls and simple buildings. It's like traveling through time, following the swordplay in "Hero" and "Jin Ke Assassinated Qin", back to the era of the Spring and Autumn Period. It is worth mentioning that the Four Seas Return to One Hall is one of the most realistic scenes for taking costume photos. The price is a bit expensive, 100 yuan for a set of costumes, and you have to pay more for the dragon throne and headdress.

The Qingming Riverside Scene is modeled after the original version of the painting by Northern Song Dynasty painter Zhang Zeduan. It moves back in time to the Tang and Song dynasties, with pavilions and terraces, as if returning to the Qinhuai River and the romantic Jiangnan. I happened to see a crew filming here, but I didn't see any big names from a distance.

By Xiao Sun |

We don't have any buildings like the Qin Palace in Shaanxi.

By Amon |

The Qin Palace can be said to be a must-visit place when visiting Hengdian, and it is the first of the six major scenic spots.

The recently popular "Legend of Miyue" is related to the Qin Dynasty

Entering the Qin Palace

Many of the locations in the movie seem familiar.

As if traveling through

More than 500 film and television works have been shot here, including "A Step into the Past", "The Emperor of Han Wu", "The Promise", "Beauty's Rival in Palace", "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor", "Swords of Legends", "Dragon Blade", "Prince of Lanling", "Legend of Lu Zhen", "The Legend of Miyue", "Empress Wei Zifu", "The Legend of Qin", "The Empress of China", "Happy Everyday", "The Legend of Zu", "The Legend of Zhao Zilong", and "Heroes of Troubled Times".

The Qin Palace is very majestic and large, it is worth a visit!

By Poems of Wind and Wood |

Red and black, such a classic combination. I like this kind of architecture. The cultural architecture of the Qin Dynasty feels quite tasteful. I like it.
