The Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street was a main street in the capital of the Southern Song Dynasty. According to the records in the Xianchun Lin'an Chronicles, more than 10,000 stone slabs were used to pave the Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street, but previous archaeological excavations have only found fragrant cake bricks. The Imperial Street starts from the north gate of the imperial city and Ningmen (the intersection of Wansongling and Fenghuangshanjiao Road today), passes through Chaotianmen (today's Drum Tower), Zhongshan Middle Road, Zhongshan North Road, Guanqiao (today's Guanqiao) to the intersection of Fengqi Road and Wulin Road today. It is the central axis of Lin'an City in the Southern Song Dynasty, with a total length of about 4,185 meters. It was the exclusive road for the emperor to worship his ancestors in the "four Meng" (Mengchun, Mengxia, Mengqiu, Mengdong) to Jingling Palace (today's west side of Wulin Road, a place for enshrining statues of royal ancestors).

After touring the Grand Canal, it was time to return the shared car. I planned the route, drove onto the elevated highway, and drove smoothly to the destination, Wujiang Road parking lot, and returned the car.
Next, we took the subway from Wujiang Road to Ding'an Road subway station. After we got out, we saw that we still had time. The Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street was right next to us, so we decided to go shopping since we were in Hangzhou. After arriving at the Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street, it was indeed not much different from the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys. It was also a modern renovated antique street. There were shopping stores on both sides of the pedestrian street, selling various specialties. Especially Hangzhou silk. However, the construction of the Imperial Street was more complete, and the main road was relatively wider. But there were no deep alleys like the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys. Anyway, it was the kind of place that felt the same after coming here, and felt that there was a lack of a check-in place if you didn't come.
I am very glad that before coming to Hangzhou, our hotel was booked on Nansong Imperial Street, which is a commercial pedestrian street with complete facilities. There are many shops on the street, including quaint century-old shops and elegant and elegant online celebrity check-in shops... There is a living pool on both sides of the street, which has the characteristics of small bridges and flowing water in the south of the Yangtze River; there are also different archways at each street corner, showing the charm of the old street of Nansong. Nansong Imperial Street has convenient transportation, surrounded by subway stations, and adjacent to Hefang Street. That street is a paradise for foodies. It is highly recommended that tourists stay on this street. There are many fast hotels here, which are very cost-effective and have a good nightlife. You can have fun here until midnight while eating delicious food and enjoying the beautiful scenery.
The Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street is similar to Beijing's Nanluoguxiang, Tianjin's Ancient Culture Street, and Suzhou's Pingjiang Road. There are ancient buildings on the roadside. Although it has been commercialized, it is still good. There are still many literary and artistic atmospheres and historical traces. It is still highly recommended, especially the Jingyuan area, which is very beautiful. Suitable for taking pictures. There are many foods here in the Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street. We found a restaurant for lunch and ordered a few local dishes. It felt good.
Going north past the Drum Tower, you will see rows of old-style buildings full of ancient charm. If you put on ancient costumes, you will really feel like you are traveling through time. This place is now the Southern Song Dynasty Imperial City Town.
Opposite to the south of Wangxian Pavilion is the Drum Tower, a real Song Dynasty site. However, there are some fake soldiers on the tower, which is a bit creepy, so I didn't take any photos.
The Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street is also here. It is basically a commercial street with similar formats and shops. Many of them are repeated businesses with repeated content. However, there are several Chinese medicine clinics here, which look like time-honored brands.
Going south from Hefang Street, you will reach the Southern Song Imperial Street. When you arrive in front of the Imperial Music Hall, you will be attracted by its elegant style. Upon closer inspection, you will find that it is a restaurant specializing in Hangzhou cuisine and tea. It is said that there are regular operas.
After dinner,
Take a walk to the Drum Tower and feel the changes of history.
Then stroll over to Starbucks to taste the modern flavor.
This street is connected to Hefang Street, so I will talk about them together. Be careful of scammers when playing on this street❗❗❗ Although it is just an ordinary food festival, in some stores selling specialty products, if there are some jewelry counters, you must be careful of scammers.
❗❗❗In 2019, during the National Day on October 2, my girlfriend and I went to the food street at night. In a specialty store where there were some West Lake lotus root powder and dragon beard candy crisps, there was also a jewelry counter in the store (when I went shopping later, I found that there were many such stores on this street). We bought more than 60 yuan of things, and then went to draw a lottery.
‼ ️‼ ️The salesgirl took out a basket of scratch cards and red strings. 🔴The meaning of the red string is to tell other stores on the street that this person has been cheated once and there is no need to cheat him again. 🔴‼ ️‼ ️Then I won the first prize, and was told that I could pick three pieces of jewelry at the counter, but only 10% of the labor fee would be charged.
💢💢My girlfriend and I were in our early 20s, and we were student-like. Plus, the clerk kept asking us questions, ⚠️⚠️ saying nice things like we were lucky. We didn't have time to think. ⚠️⚠️So I spent 500 to buy one as a gift for my mother. After paying, we got all the certificates and invoices for the jewelry, and then we left.
💢💢Later I changed my mind and felt that something was wrong and I had been cheated, so I went back. ⚠️⚠️I asked the clerk where your store is and whether you still have it, how to return the goods and so on.
🔴The man said that if there were any problems, he should call the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on the certificate. These words seemed to be reliable, but in fact, even the certificate was fake, not to mention the jewelry, which was a small commodity in Yiwu for more than ten yuan. 💢💢This is our painful experience of being cheated. Fortunately, we were only cheated of 500 yuan, which was considered tuition fee💢💢⚠️⚠️
At night, I stayed at Yujie
Thanks to the integrity of the people of Hangzhou. We were reminded many times during the trip not to trust the black tour guides. We also met local people who kindly reminded us when we were on a cruise on West Lake. The locals are brave and kind.
The Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street is a main street in Lin'an, the capital of the Southern Song Dynasty. The Imperial Street starts from the north gate of the imperial city and Ningmen (the intersection of Wansongling and Fenghuangshan Road today), passes through Chaotianmen (now Drum Tower), Zhongshan Middle Road, Zhongshan North Road, Guanqiao (now Guanqiao) to the intersection of Fengqi Road and Wulin Road today. It is the central axis of Lin'an City in the Southern Song Dynasty, with a total length of about 4,185 meters. It is the exclusive road for the emperor to worship his ancestors in the "four Meng" (Mengchun, Mengxia, Mengqiu, Mengdong) to Jingling Palace (now the west side of Wulin Road, a place for enshrining the statues of the royal ancestors). The second time I went to Hangzhou, I stayed at the Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street. It was very quiet and clean, with a good environment. I liked it very much and lived here in the future.
The newly built retro street is worth a stroll if you are interested.
The street view is really beautiful, and the ancient style is very suitable for careful appreciation. There are many snacks, and they are also delicious, but the prices are really a bit expensive.
If you come to Hangzhou and don't visit the Southern Song Imperial Street, it's like you haven't been there at all. You'll have to decide for yourself.
When you reach the entrance of Southern Song Imperial Street and cross it, you will reach Hefang Street. Southern Song Imperial Street is full of shops selling all kinds of silk and satin clothing.
It was really average. The reason I went there was because of the first season of Running Man.
I walked there by chance at night. It is newly built, perpendicular to Hefang Street, the direction of the old street.
The Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street is very similar to Beijing's Nanluoguxiang, with many historical buildings and poems and paintings on the white walls, which is also very southern. It's just very commercialized.
The Drum Tower is located in the east of Wushan Mountain in Hangzhou, connected to Shiwukui Lane in the south, Dajing Lane in the north, Zhonghe Road in the east, and Wugong Mountain in the west. It is the starting point of the southeast of Qinghefang Historical District. It was first built in the Southern Dynasty during the Five Dynasties period, about 1,400 years ago. It was once a palace of the Southern Song Emperor, the "Fulin Palace", and was commonly known as the Drum Tower. After we got off the bus, we took a photo in front of the Drum Tower and Wangxian Pavilion, and walked along the streets to Hefang Street. Hefang Street is actually an ancient street.
It’s a retro building, but it’s too commercial. There are small vendors everywhere along the way, and I don’t feel any strong cultural atmosphere.
Many of the Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Streets are now tourist attractions selling things.
When I first walked in, there were mainly some shops selling silk and tea, not many snacks.
Then when I walked forward to a crossroads, I saw a lot of snack vendors. It was a large commercial street. After walking through some ancient town-like commercial streets, I felt that they were all similar and there was nothing particularly amazing.
I happened to see the sunset here. Looking through the alley, I had a different feeling. There were crowds of people around me, but when I stared at the sun, I suddenly felt very quiet in my heart.
There is also portrait editing, which can be done according to the photos you provide.
The Southern Song Imperial Street is a pedestrian street that retains some architectural street scenes from the Southern Song Dynasty. The pedestrian streets in major cities across the country are all similar, and the Southern Song Imperial Street is no exception. The only consolation is that two large medical clinics, Hu Qingyu Tang and Huichun Tang, are preserved here. Stepping through the threshold is like walking into a historical drama.
In some alleys, there are wooden boards more than one meter high. After observing for a while, I found that these are the doors of stores. Seeing that such an ancient custom is still preserved, my impression of the Imperial Street of the Southern Song Dynasty is a little better.
The buildings on both sides are very retro and have a sense of age, and there are many old bank sites.
Probably because of the rain, the street was deserted. There was a Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street Exhibition Hall, but except for the first floor, there was nothing upstairs, so there was no need to go upstairs. It seemed that the 12th episode of the first season of "Running Man" had been here.
I'd rather check in. Overall, it's still a good place.
Nansong Imperial Street is really nice. The hotel is right on the street. There is an izakaya diagonally opposite. It is very convenient for eating supper and shopping at night.
There was really little food, I don't know if it was not open yet or for some other reason, it was impossible, it was almost 12 o'clock. I walked around but didn't find a suitable one.
The central axis of Lin'an City during the Southern Song Dynasty. There are also various time-honored shops here.
Zhongshan Road, which runs through Hangzhou from north to south, was the main north-south axis of Lin'an, the capital of the Southern Song Dynasty, more than 800 years ago. It is now a commercial and leisure street. Qinghefang, which runs east-west, is nearby. It may not be as interesting during the day as at night.
First stop in Hangzhou. I’ve been walking around but haven’t found anything I want to eat yet. Haha.
When you go to Hefang Street, you can also visit the Southern Song Imperial Street. The two streets are adjacent to each other, so you can go and feel the path that the ancient emperors walked. There is no need to go there specifically.
I like these small streets and alleys very much. They are very charming.
I was looking forward to the Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street before I came here, after all, I heard there were a lot of snacks. After I arrived, I did see a lot of snacks, but I felt that they were not the specialties of this place. You need to look carefully to find local things. It is a bit commercialized. However, there are many specialty shops here (although some of them can't really be called Hangzhou specialties). If you want to buy souvenirs and stroll around, you should still come here~
It intersects with Hefang Street. It feels quite short, but Hangzhou’s sanitation is really good.
The pedestrian street is worth visiting. It has a strong commercial nature. It seems that there are more people going there at night than during the day. There are many shops selling silk scarves, silk, and cheongsams. The buildings on both sides of the street are quite interesting. But in my opinion, I still prefer Xiaohezhi Street, which is more lifelike, quieter, and can better experience the flavor of a city.
Tourists in Hangzhou can take bus No. 34 or 59 to Huimin Road Station, or take bus No. 8 or 60 to Gaoyin Street. In clear weather, taking the bus is a good choice in Hangzhou.
This is a new attraction in Hangzhou that has been recently restored and expanded. It has a good planning and design and a very good location. To the east is Hangzhou Railway Station, to the west is West Lake, and to the south is the famous ancient commercial street Hefang Street.
Here you can experience the old-fashioned life. There are all kinds of Chinese and Western buildings gathered here since the late Qing Dynasty. The most beautiful ones are the old houses. Wearing cheongsam and walking on these quaint streets, you will feel like you have traveled back to the Republic of China!
The Southern Song Imperial Street was a road where the emperors of the Southern Song Dynasty used to burn incense. Since then, it has been a street crowded with merchants, and various time-honored brands have shops. In 2008, due to the burning of residential houses, the remains of roads from the Southern Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties were accidentally excavated. The government then carried out comprehensive planning and design, and preserved buildings from various periods along the street, which are unified in the strong Southern Song style. Each store has its own characteristics.
A main paved street in the Southern Song capital.
It is now a commercial pedestrian street. The buildings retain their ancient style and many of them are at the cultural relic level.
Today, it is home to a variety of shops, a fusion of ancient and modern elements.
It seems like I can see the prosperous scene of the past.
This is like the snack street in Hangzhou. People who go to Hangzhou will check in there.
It's said to be unique, but it's actually okay, and the food is not particularly surprising
It's suitable for wandering around when you're bored. If you try hard to find it, there are still some interesting places.
A historical street in Hangzhou, it is literary and artistic, with the famous Xiaofeng Bookstore and Nuankong Postcard Shop. The Southern Song Imperial Street intersects with Qinghefang Street. There are many old buildings on both sides of the main street, and modern buildings with a strong sense of design are interspersed among the old buildings. It is very unique and worth a walk.
The old buildings here are really unique and ancient, forming a sharp contrast with the current tourists.
The pedestrian street has some handicrafts representing Hangzhou and some snacks
The Southern Song Imperial Street is divided by Huimin Road. The difference in pedestrian flow between the north and south sides is very obvious. The northern section has the once beloved Sri Me which is now gone. There is the largest mosque in Hangzhou, the "Phoenix Temple", and the highest overpass in Hangzhou, the "Imperial Street Overpass". Every time you cross the overpass, you can always see people with cameras ready to take pictures of the hustle and bustle.
The environment is very good, very retro! Very feeling, good scenery.
I heard that the street below this is the original street. Now the whole street is a mixture of ancient and modern styles. I suggest you go and take a look at it at night.
Almost every time I go to Hangzhou, I stay in the express hotels here, such as Home Inn, Super 8, Motel 168, etc. The transportation is convenient, with bus stops and subway stations right at the door. A canal runs north-south, with stone slabs on both sides, and the design is very creative!
It was the exclusive road for the emperor to worship his ancestors in the "four Meng" (first month of spring, first month of summer, first month of autumn, and first month of winter) at Jingling Palace (now the west side of Wulin Road, a place for enshrining statues of royal ancestors).
When I went there, I stayed at Yujie! It felt good! The night view was good! There is also a snack street next to it so I won't be hungry at night
The Southern Song Imperial Street was a main street in Lin'an, the capital of the Southern Song Dynasty. The current road was built on the original site.
Snacks and various goods are all similar, not very interesting
It is similar to the Confucius Temple in Nanjing and the Nanchan Temple in Wuxi. The biggest feature is the ancient road of the Southern Song Dynasty preserved under the glass cover. You must visit this kind of Jiangnan street wherever you go. You will never get tired of it. There is also a physical store of Fang Huichuntang here, which is a store I personally like very much.
It is not as noisy as Hefang Street, it is very quiet, exquisite and nice, and the small shops on the street are relatively affordable.
A pedestrian street with some shops around, suitable for strolling after a meal
Clean, tidy, exquisite and beautiful………………
It is quite convenient to live here, close to the bus and subway stations, close to Gaoyin Street for dining and the famous Hefang Street. It is not far to walk to Liulangwenying.
The prosperous streets of the Southern Song Dynasty are basically occupied by various hotels and inns. It is quite quiet.
Our hotel is right inside the Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street, so it is very convenient to visit here at night. The Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street is quite long and intersects with Hefang Street. There are more historical buildings on the Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street, while there are more snacks and food on Hefang Street. There are also ruins to visit on the Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street, which is full of historical atmosphere. The historical buildings on both sides of the road are also very distinctive. Although you can't go in, it's very good to watch them from the outside. Overall, the Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street still carries part of Hangzhou's history.
The Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street was discovered during the archaeological excavation of Hangzhou's urban reconstruction. It was the carriage road that the Southern Song emperors used to worship their ancestors. Now it has been transformed into an antique street. The environment is quiet and not as crowded as Hefang Street.
If you have enough time or pass by, you can go and have a look. There is nothing special.
I learned about Southern Song Imperial Street after watching Go Fighting. If the weather is good, some of the small shops in Southern Song Imperial Street are really nice to take pictures in, and the film is better than it. But it’s a bit awkward if it rains heavily, and some sections of the road will be flooded.
It's OK, it's quite tasteful, very ancient, and it's suitable for filming.
The Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street connects with Hefang Street at a 90-degree right angle. It was the exclusive road for the emperor to worship his ancestors in the "four Meng" (first month of spring, first month of summer, first month of autumn, and first month of winter) at Jingling Palace (now the west side of Wulin Road, a place where statues of royal ancestors are enshrined).
The marginal scenic area is just a commercial street~~~~
The Southern Song Imperial Street intersects with Hefang Street. The Southern Song Imperial Street is very lively at night.
The Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street is paved with stone slabs, and there are small bridges and flowing water on the roadside, which looks like a miniature ancient town. Although it is a commercial street, it feels very romantic.
Find the ancient sites of the Southern Song Dynasty and appreciate Hangzhou in the south of the Yangtze River.
There is nothing special in Nanning Imperial Street, mainly shops. They are all artificial attractions recreated now.
This ancient street has been renovated to combine the past and the present. There are not only places for tourists to take photos, but also a photo wall of old impressions.
What surprised me the most was that in addition to the time-honored Xie Fuchun cosmetics shop, Wang Xingji fan shop, and Hu Qingyu Tang medical clinic, there was also the Jiangnan Zhu Family Copper House, which opened my eyes.
There were very few people when I went there, and there were many exquisite little shops on the roadside.
The work of the master architect Wang Shu. On the Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street, the old and the new blend and complement each other. The old is preserved, and the new sets off the old while also being unique in itself. Along the way, there are shops, strange architectural pieces, and a museum. The planning of the entire street can be seen in the shadow of Lijiang and Dali, but it is not exactly the same. I personally think that it is more perfect, more systematic, more beautiful, and has its own regional color than those scenic spots.
Just like the Confucius Temple in Nanjing, it is a commercial pedestrian street.
Southern Song Imperial Street is a very quiet street, not crowded, but very unique.
It is close to Hefang Street. It is a snack street with a strong commercial atmosphere. There are handicrafts for sale. If you live nearby, you can take a walk after dinner.
On the first day in Hangzhou, I chose the Ibis Hotel online. The location was average. It was just so-so for an economy hotel, but the staff on the second floor were very friendly. The Southern Song Imperial Street is a long street.
It is quite stylish. Many buses can go there directly. If you drive, you may get stuck in traffic. The Drum Tower and Hefang Street are both here. It is very convenient and well connected. It was raining when I came this time, but there were still many people. There are many places to eat on the street, including desserts, milk tea, and Starbucks. There are also many snacks. It is quite nice to stroll around and take photos.
