静海寺介绍

静海寺建于明永乐年间，是明成祖朱棣为褒奖郑和航海的功德，同时为供奉郑和从异域带回的罗汉画像、佛牙、玉玩等物品，和奇花异木的活株而敕建。赐额"静海寺"，取意四海平静，天下太平。

寺名取“四海平静，天下太平”之意，明清时规模宏大，殿宇林立，气势恢宏，号称"金陵律寺之冠"、"金陵八大寺之最 "。为供奉郑和从异域带回的罗汉画像、佛牙、玉玩等物品，和奇花异木的活株而敕建。静海寺屡遭战火，历代均有修葺，扩建终成今制。

寺庙北倚狮子山，东接天妃宫，西临护城河，占地约两万平方米；有大雄宝殿和天王、正佛、观音、伽蓝、轮藏、弥勒、祖师等殿宇，还有潮音阁、钟楼、井亭、华严楼、玩咸亭等建筑共80多楹。规模宏大，可谓金陵名刹。郑和晚年曾在此生活过。

天妃宫碑

天妃宫碑全名“御制弘仁普济天妃宫之碑”，位于南京市鼓楼区静海寺内，碑高5.48米、宽1.5米、厚0.5米，下承龟趺，上刻螭龙，碑额篆书，碑文正楷。天妃宫碑是唯一一块由皇帝亲自撰文颂扬的御碑，也是中国现存最大的郑和下西洋石刻，文化价值极高。

警世钟

新铸造的警世钟凝聚了南京人民的情感和心血，大钟造型沉稳端庄，色泽古朴，主体高度为1 ．8 4 2 米，象征着香港于1 8 4 2 年被列强割占，钟的顶端为一“火球”，高7 ．1 厘米，象征香港于7 月1 日回归祖国。
