
省庐,又名竹隐庐,位于杭州北山街36号,依山面湖,临街而筑。建于民国二十年,主人为王丰镐,字省三,所以省庐取其字命名,他曾任浙江洋务局总办,浙江交涉使等。
省庐为仿西式建筑的别墅,院中三幢楼,中为主楼,左右各设角楼,在当时西湖别墅中领风气之先,颇显洋派。朝南庭院用花窗围墙圈护;院子中间为一幢两层多开间的主楼,左右各有一座角楼,与主楼以廊檐相连,似分又合,互为呼应。
