    拉孜地处西藏日喀则地区中部、雅鲁藏布江上游宽谷/念青唐古拉山最西部，海拔4012米，历来有后藏地区粮食仓之称，素有“堆谐之乡”的美誉。

    拉孜县历史悠久，地域开阔，交通便利，是日喀则地区西部七县必经之要塞。也是日喀则最好的县城之一，重要的分路口，南来北往的车都会经过这里，318/219国道交汇入，很多游客会选择此地转车并食宿。

    黄昏时的拉孜县城比较有味道。站在大街东头，迎着西天浓重的云彩，街面泛着亮光，开着拖拉机的、骑着大马的、蹬着自行车的以及三五成群的学生们纷纷往家赶，很有点本部高原小城的感觉。
