柞水县位于陕西南部，地处秦岭南坡，与西安直距70公里。全县辖十镇六乡。 柞水县呈西北高、东南低，并由西北向东南呈倾斜地势。气候为暖温带间凉亚热带过渡性气候。柞水素有"天然氧吧、城市之肺"之称，融"名山名镇名洞"于一体、被誉为"终南首邑，山水画廊"。秦楚古道位于秦岭南麓柞水县，曾为长安通往金州（安康）的交通要道和枢纽，素有“秦楚咽喉”，“终南首邑”之称。
