Although uninhabited, Xiaoxingshan Island boasts the remains of the Xiaoxingshan Battle, the site of a former abalone farm, and a Mazu Temple, dedicated to fishermen. Residents of Tai O Village make a special trip there each year to burn incense and pray for blessings.
The water in Xiaoxingshan Island is crystal clear with visibility of more than 10 meters. The sea around the island is flat and suitable for snorkeling. You can see many tropical fish, starfish and sea urchins after entering the water . It is a rare snorkeling paradise, allowing you to explore the mysteries of the underwater without leaving the country.
