
Deqing County is a county under the jurisdiction of Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is located in the northern part of Zhejiang Province, facing Shanghai to the east, Hangzhou to the south, Taihu Lake to the north, and the foothills of Tianmu Mountain to the west. It is located in the hinterland of the Yangtze River Delta.
Deqing boasts a long history and rich cultural heritage, and has consistently produced numerous talented individuals. The Liangzhu culture, with its 5,000-year history, retains numerous remains within the county, nurturing numerous historical and cultural figures, including the renowned Southern Dynasty writer Shen Yue, the Tang Dynasty poet Meng Jiao, and the scholar of the Dream of the Red Chamber, Yu Pingbo.
