Longyan Museum, located in Xinluo District, Longyan City, was founded in November 1975. As a comprehensive museum dedicated to social history and revolutionary commemoration, it is responsible for the preservation, promotion, and scientific research of cultural relics from Xinluo District, the heart of Longyan City. It currently houses a collection of 5,300 cultural relics . In addition, the museum hosts over 20 temporary exhibitions annually, including those on fine arts, calligraphy, photography, philately, and animal and plant specimens .

The museum houses basic exhibitions such as "Historical Sites of the Longyan People's Revolution" and "Folk Cultural Relics of Longyan". It also utilizes revolutionary sites in towns to establish special displays such as the Houtian Uprising Memorial Hall, the Deng Zihui Memorial Hall, the New Fourth Army Second Detachment Memorial Hall, the Guo Di Ren Memorial Hall, and a brief introduction to Confucius' life and deeds. It is open to the public all year round.
