"Purple air descends from the east, clouds and mists thicken" is an apt description of Ziyun. Located in Anshun City, Guizhou Province, Ziyun boasts a rich and diverse ethnic culture. Ethnic minorities account for 68% of the county's population, with the Miao and Buyi as the primary ethnic groups. Each Miao subgroup has distinct clothing, lifestyles, and cultural heritage, forming a vibrant ethnic community. For this reason, Ziyun is hailed by Miao scholars as one of the three cultural centers of Miao culture.
The "June 6th" is one of the most important traditional festivals for the Buyi people in all seasons. Anyone who enters the village is a guest, and the warm and hospitable Buyi people take care of lunch and dinner.
