Introducing Jiaozuo Museum
Located on Jianshe Middle Road in Shanyang District, the Jiaozuo Museum boasts an exhibition area of 5,000 square meters and consists of a main exhibition building, auxiliary exhibition buildings, a cultural relic storage facility, and technical facilities. Over the past forty years, the museum has been dedicated to the preservation of Shanyang's cultural heritage.
The Jiaozuo Museum currently houses over 10,000 artifacts, ranging from ancient times to modern times, including bronze, ceramics, jade, coins, calligraphy and painting, stoneware, wood, and other miscellaneous items. Among them are the magnificent Han Dynasty Taocang Tower, the Dangyangyu coiled porcelain jar, and the " Shanyang " inscribed pottery jar, which are considered representative cultural relics of the Jiaozuo region.
Taocanglou The Taocanglou unearthed in Jiaozuo area stands out among tens of thousands of Han Dynasty pottery funerary objects for its simple shape, majestic momentum, superb craftsmanship and profound connotation. It is known as the symbol of ancient Shanyang and the treasure of the city museum. It has been exhibited abroad many times.
