The Daotang River is located in Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province. It is about 3,300 meters above sea level and is about 40 kilometers long. It flows from east to west and flows into Qinghai Lake. Unlike most rivers that flow from west to east, it is named the Daotang River.
The Daotang River originates from the Chahan Grassland at the western foot of Riyue Mountain and is the smallest branch of the Qinghai Lake system. Its winding, crystal-clear waters create a magical and captivating scene, like a bright ribbon drifting across the grasslands.

At the southern foot of the mountain flows a uniquely shaped "Daotang River." Standing on the summit, gazing eastward, one is greeted by a pastoral landscape. To the west, the shimmering blue waters of Qinghai Lake and the vibrant beauty of Haixin Mountain offer a stark contrast to the rural scenery.
