The Big and Small Front Teeth Scenic Area is located in Menya Village, Zhonggong Subdistrict. With a population of over 4,600, it's the largest village in Zhonggong Subdistrict. It boasts 5,000 mu (approximately 1,000 acres) of land, including approximately 20,000 mu (approximately 1,000 acres) of forest, stone, and water. The mountain to the south of Menya Village is Pushan, boasting the South Stone Gate, while the mountain to the north of the village is Mulizhaishan, boasting the North Stone Gate. These two "stone gates" echo each other, giving the village its name because of their resemblance to front teeth.
The Da Menya and Xiao Menya scenic areas are most famous for their farmhouses. As spring arrives and flowers bloom, many families in Jinan head to the southern mountainous area for outings. The Menya Village farmhouse scene began to develop spontaneously in 2002. Initially, a few villagers built simple houses and opened restaurants. Today, there are 20 to 30 similar farmhouse-themed restaurants. During holidays, the area welcomes 20 to 30,000 people daily.
The farmhouses in the Big and Small Menya Scenic Area offer a variety of dining, picking, fishing, and other activities. Surrounded by mountains and water, the farmhouses feature distinctive architecture, including stone, wooden, and thatched houses typical of rural southern mountainous areas. Local villagers also enjoy mountain spring water, which they drink.
Jinan has a temperate monsoon climate with obvious monsoons and distinct four seasons: dry and rainy spring, warm and rainy summer, cool and dry autumn, and cold and snowy winter.
