Houshiwu, nestled at the foot of Tiankong Mountain in Daiyin, boasts scenic spots such as Duzupan, Gusong Garden, Yuanjun Temple, Jiulonggang, and Tianzhu Peak. Accessible by cable car from Zhangren Peak at the top of Mount Dai. Here lies the Bixia Yuanjun Palace, divided into two courtyards: the East Court's main hall enshrines the Three Officials, while the West Court's main hall enshrines Bixia Yuanjun. Within the courtyard lies a natural stone cave, known as the "Huanghua Cave," which is said to be the place where the Jade Maiden cultivated her true self. Water drips from the cave's ceiling, resembling pearls, into a deep pool, creating a tinkling sound, earning it the name "Lingyi Spring."
Houshiwu is located northeast of Yuhuangding, passing through the Eight Immortals Cave and Luanshigou. Within Shiwu are scenic spots such as Duzupan, Yuanjun Temple, and Jiulonggang. The area is characterized by steep peaks and deep valleys, with strange rocks hanging from pine trees and springs and streams competing for attention, creating a place of endless mystery. Fourteen steles and 34 inscriptions remain.
Ancient pines of all shapes and sizes grow throughout Houshiwu, some leaning against cliffs, others nestled in deep ravines, some piercing the sky, and some seemingly soaring across the sky. The mountain breeze blows, the pine trees rustle, and the echoing waves of the mountains make Daiyin feel even more dangerous, mysterious, and secluded. A poem by Xiao Rulin of the Qing Dynasty reads: "Pines in Shiwu surround vast expanses of shade, a winding crane path leads into the desolate forest. At dawn, sea fog settles over the clear stream, while at night, the river waves roll over the green peaks. Herbs fall from the cliffs as the herb garden is harvested, and the sound echoes through the secluded cave to the sound of a zither. My ears, washed clean by worldly ties, still hear the ancient sounds."
It has a temperate continental semi-humid monsoon climate with distinct four seasons, moderate cold and hot seasons, synchronized light and temperature, and simultaneous rain and heat. Spring is dry and windy, summer is hot and rainy, autumn is sunny and refreshing, and winter is cold and snowy.
