Feng Yuxiang's Tomb, located at the western foot of Mount Tai and east of Xixikou in Tai'an, Shandong Province, is the burial site of Feng Yuxiang, a military general and patriotic democratic figure of the Republic of China. It was designated a National Key Cultural Relic Protection Site by the State Council in 1988.
Feng Yuxiang's tomb is located on the east side of Xixikou, facing a deep ravine and backed by Kexue Mountain. Facing east and west, it faces Dazhong Bridge, which spans the Xixi Gorge (constructed during his retreat on Mount Tai). Constructed of granite from Mount Tai, the tomb contains an urn in the center. A gilt-bronze relief portrait of Feng Yuxiang's head is inlaid to seal the tomb. The seven golden characters "Mr. Feng Yuxiang's Tomb" written by Guo Moruo are inscribed horizontally. Below the portrait is a polished black granite tablet inscribed in official script with Feng Yuxiang's poem "I," written on May 30, 1940.
Feng Yuxiang (1882-1948), courtesy name Huanzhang, was a native of Chao County, Anhui Province. He came from a military background and served as the commander of the 16th Mixed Brigade of the Beiyang Army, the commander of the 11th Division, the military governor of Shaanxi and Henan, and the inspector general of the army. He opposed Yuan Shikai's declaration of emperorship and Zhang Xun's restoration.
It has a temperate continental semi-humid monsoon climate with distinct four seasons, moderate cold and hot seasons, synchronized light and temperature, and simultaneous rain and heat. Spring is dry and windy, summer is hot and rainy, autumn is sunny and refreshing, and winter is cold and snowy.
