Lingying Palace, formerly known as Tianxian Temple, is the lower temple of the Taishan Old Lady. According to legend, before the Spring Festival every year, the Taishan Old Lady would go down the mountain to buy things. If she bought something from someone's family, that family would become rich and prosperous in that year. The old lady would live here after she went down the mountain.

The gate of Lingying Palace faces Lingshan Street. Because the roadbed is low, a high platform appears in front of the gate. People must climb up the stairs to enter the gate, as if drawing a clear dividing line between the noisy world and this quiet ancient temple.
