The Ten-Mile Gallery of Zhongshan Mountain is a natural scenic spot with karst lava landforms as its main attraction. The scenic area stretches for more than ten miles and is picturesque, hence the name Ten-Mile Gallery.
The Ten-Li Gallery covers an area of about 36 square kilometers. The high peaks, strange rocks and peak clusters of karst landforms mostly rise from the flat ground, like thousands of swords pointing to the sky, and like thousands of rows of jade bamboo shoots covering the sky. They complement the surrounding villages, houses and rural scenery, forming a gorgeous natural landscape painting.
The scenic area is composed of Devonian limestone, a Lower Paleozoic carbonate deposit. The inner gallery stretches approximately five kilometers, flanked by lush forests and fragrant wildflowers. Strange peaks and rocks, each in a myriad of shapes and forms, resemble a vast landscape painting, suspended side by side on a thousand-foot cliff. This breathtaking natural wonder blends seamlessly into the exquisite brushwork of a master painter.
The scenic area belongs to the mid-subtropical humid monsoon zone, which is characterized by abundant light and heat, plentiful rainfall, moderate temperature, suitable cold and hot weather, long summer and short winter, distinct seasons, summer floods and autumn droughts, uneven rainfall, and late spring and early autumn.
The scenic area's main tourist resources are natural scenery, primarily peak clusters, followed by mountain and lake views, creating a tranquil and harmonious natural and pastoral landscape. Stunning sights include the Lotus Pond Peaks, Shuangyuan Peaks, Gongpo Mountain, Yangyuan Stone (a type of stone candle facing the sky), Guanyin Mountain, and Pagoda Mountain. Stretching for over ten miles and boasting picturesque scenery, the scenic area is also known as the Lotus Pond Ten-Mile Gallery.
