Located in Longmei Village, Leiming Town, Ding'an County, the Taishi Archway was built in the first month of the second year of the Wanli reign (1574) as a memorial to Wang Honghui, the national historian. The archway's additional stone pillars bear the inscribed characters "Taishi Archway" in regular script in the center. The archway stands 5.1 meters tall and is three bays wide. The main bay (excluding pillars) is 2.84 meters wide, and the secondary bay (excluding pillars) is 1.3 meters wide. Between the roof and the inscription stone is a stone inscribed with the characters "Enrong." Opposite the main pillar in the main bay is an inscribed couplet in regular script: "The stone pillars support the sky, the beauty of the South Sea spreads across five fingers; the Yaotai penetrates the Big Dipper, the light shakes the North Pole, and responds to the three terraces." This couplet is said to have been written by the renowned Ming Dynasty calligrapher Dong Qichang, a student of Wang Honghui.
